Ashby is deeply customizable. The object oriented nature of it's initial build out means you can make it work for you for pretty much any size team or workflow. The native AI functionality is great, allows for me to mitigate a lot of manual workflows that would be cumbersome for a solo TA practitioner at a scaling company. The interviewers have said it's wonderful and appreciate the user interface compared to the former ATS we had. The recently unveiled MCP functionality has made the Chat workflows I've created made things even more efficient. The customer success team is peerless, no problem of mine is too small and I appreciate my CSM greatly. (Not sure I can name him here, but he's great) Even with all of the AI functionality, they manage to build the AI to truly augment the human in the loop - nothing is decided by AI and that aligns greatly with my sense of work. Spending the time upfront with the CSM to dig in and get the tool implemented is critical to success straight away. Finally - some goofy things with the offer templates and adding specific triggers cause formatting challenges, but once I brought it up they showed me how to fix it. It feels simple on the surface, which is great, but every now and then I'll think, "I'm sure this platform can do what I need," and then spend a little too long figuring out where that option is hiding. It's not a dealbreaker by any means, but I'd love to see a few workflows made a bit more intuitive so I can spend less time clicking around and more time actually hiring. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, emails, and random notes, everything is in one place, so it's much easier to keep track of candidates and where everyone stands. Instead of checking different tools or making spreadsheets by hand, I can see clear reports in real time. These reports show things like how the hiring process is going, how long it takes to hire someone, where candidates come from, and where they get stuck. This helps me because I don’t need to waste time collecting data from different places. I can quickly see what is working and what is not.
