## About Ansys EnSight
ANSYS EnSight is more than the leading post-processor and visualization software program: It is a data fusion program. It consolidates data from multiple engineering simulations and other sources to help explore and explain complex systems and processes. It handles simulation data from a wide range of physics from fluids, structures, particles, crash, electromagnetics and more. And it imports data from experiments, wind tunnels, imaging systems like MRI, and images and animations. With EnSight, you can create and communicate the best looking, clear, highest resolution simulation results on datasets that were previously thought to be too big to handle

## Ansys EnSight Reviews
  ### 1. Decent all-rounder post processing tool for Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Ansys EnSight?**

1. Visual appeal and richness of the contours, streamlines or other animations generated using Ansys Ensight
2. Parallel computation capability of Ensight which enables faster post-processing of heavy cases
3. Remote computation capability which enables usage of a HPC node as the CPU while only GUI is handled by local workstation which enable fast post-processing of heavy cases
4. Modular approach for post-processing, very helpful for post-processing complex flow pattern cases
5.Mass-weighted average computation is possible with Ensight which is not possible with many others post-processing tools leading to calculation errors for conserved quantities
6. Option to import wide variety of results from different solvers
7. Option to read results as node/cell-centered data which is very important for CFD for some cases and is not possible in many other post processing tools.
8.Low RAM requirement of Ensight

**What do you dislike about Ansys EnSight?**

1. Context files are fragile if the Geom changes from 1 iteration to other w.r.t. part names, they break down easily with minor part name changes!
2. Automation through scripts is not easy in Ensight
3. Learning curve is a bit steep for freshers (workshops or tutorials are a must)

**What problems is Ansys EnSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Post processing CFD (computational fluid dynamics) results thereby driving design changes from a detailed understand of thermal and airflow characteristics of the problem at hand to improve product airflow and thermal performance
2. High quality animation for business presentations
3. Comparing multiple high mesh count cases smoothly at the same time (minimal lags even with low end configs from CFD - 32 GB RAM , 4GB GPU)
4. Using it almost everyday without any bugs as such
5. Customer support is very helpful

  ### 2. Versatile post processing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geetesh W. | Deputy Manager (M3-b) - CFD, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Ansys EnSight?**

It has a user friendly UI for creating transient animations. It provides full freedom to plot transient responses with iso volumes and iso surfaces. Animation can be coupled with graph in a single window which is unique.

**What do you dislike about Ansys EnSight?**

Handling of fluid zones can be improved. Integration with Ansys forte can be improved.

**What problems is Ansys EnSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a visualizarion platform to generate fancy animations and contours.

  ### 3. Best neutral post-processor I ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok D. | Lead Engineer - Simulation Based Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Ansys EnSight?**

It breaks down the dataset into smaller files for different variables and loads them for postprocessing on a need basis. That way, you can only load the variables that you are working with onto the memory which makes it possible to post-process large models on workstations.

**What do you dislike about Ansys EnSight?**

The GUI is pretty basic. I have been using EnSight for almost 10 years now; I am comfortable. But as a flagbearer of EnSight in my current company, I notice that the new users find the GUI not-so-intuitive.

**What problems is Ansys EnSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly post-processing of CFD data. I like the fact that the post-processing is parallel, unlike most other competitors. Volume rendering is something that I like the most, helps me impress my stakeholders!
