You drop the cameras on the floor plan and immediately see coverage, blind spots, and if the angle works or not. It saves me a ton of time and helps me avoid mistakes. **What do you dislike about IP Video System Design Tool?** Sometimes it takes a bit to understand all the features when you’re new, but once you get used to it, everything becomes straightforward. **What problems is IP Video System Design Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me plan camera placement accurately before installing anything. I can see coverage, blind spots, and the right angles on the floor plan. This saves me time, avoids mistakes, and lets me deliver better results to my clients. ### 2. We were fortunate enough to use JVSG as our first design tool and haven't looked elsewhere since starting to use it a few years ago. Our custoemrs also appreciate the other assets that are available from the software, like teh ability to add vehicles and people into the scene to try replicate what they would see through the cameras view. **What do you dislike about IP Video System Design Tool?** There are minor bugs that cause inconvieniences, but other than this there's not much we dislike about the software **What problems is IP Video System Design Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows us to show our customers the scenario they are using their cameras in beofre installation to give them a better idea of how it look. ### 3. I provide the package to my installer, which gives them a drawing of the camera layout, mounting height, and exactly the view that we are expecting to get from that camera. ### 5. The software is constantly improving with regular updates. There are a range of features that are useful for a wide range of eventualities. **What do you dislike about IP Video System Design Tool?** Since the last few updates, there is nothing really that I dislike. I used to get a few crashes and error messages, but they seem to have been rectified in the various updates. The only item that I could do with is an option for a tilted wall (adding side walls to stairs, etc). **What problems is IP Video System Design Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem solving that the IP video system design tool helps with is visualisation of what the end-user will be achieved once the system is installed. There is quite a good selection of items and building elements to choose from. **What do you dislike about IP Video System Design Tool?** It can be a little buggy, with some odd crashes, although these are now much less common than they were - you can tell a lot of work has been done to overcome this. My personal bugbear is the way it ignores common drawing practices - eg scroll wheel / shift scroll to move sideways, ctrl scroll to zoom etc - the scroll wheel just zooms that's all, and you have to chose another to move. **What problems is IP Video System Design Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the software to design all our projects; it's an essential tool to our business. We use it to produce proposal documents for all our quotes. We take the pdf export from JVSG and edit it significantly then incorporate it into our proposals. ### 7.
