**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

As a user it is easy to use with simple directions to get you where you need to go so you can interview patients and get them help quickly and efficiently. Being that this company is world wide, many companies offer this to their employees.

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

Some patients may not have this at their reach like the elderly population. As a healthcare administrator not being able to see patients clearly can be a downfall not to the app's fault. Additionally not many companies showcase that this is offered and many people go a long time before realizing this is available to them. So it goes under utilized unfortunately and for some that really need it and dont know.

**Recommendations to others considering Allscripts CareDirector:**

If you're looking for an easy way to recieve care without the hassle of driving into a doctors office this is the way to go. For patients immunocompromised this has been beneficial to keep them safe while also delivering treatment or care.

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medical questions answered at the click of a button. Being able to monitor patients without them coming into the office which helps everyone especially those who dont drive. saving in house costs are a huge benefit as well. No need to come in for a quick check up utilizing room space and supplies just for a 5 minute assessment or conversation so you can get a prescription refill or to read lab results.

**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

We had a hard time before when we only receive inquiries only through fax. Some we don't receive, some we receive late. With Allscripts CIM those issues were covered. We are now able to check inquiries and referrals online, on time.

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

We have to check back and refresh from time to time. I hope in the near future they will create an app and push notification on phone. I usually work on the go so this will help case manager/admissions like me.

Integrate it with PointClickCare

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to missed out on admissions, with Allscripts CIM we get those referrals right away and answer to them in an instant. We also saved out on papers too.

**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

I like that I get a notification via email or text each time a referral comes in. It is easy for my referral sources to not only send me the referral but to also communicate throughout the referral process. I also like that all patient records and orders can be uploaded to the system as well. 

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

The timing on my allscripts does not show up accurately so I cant tell exactly what time the referra came through. 

**Recommendations to others considering Allscripts CareDirector:**

I would highly recommend. I wish all my referral sources used Allscripts, it makes my job a lot easier!

Ease of referrals, I work for a home health company so I receive multiple referrals each day through Allscripts.

This patient care management product allows me to easily record patient data and also implement a payment method that is quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

There is nothing terrible about this product but I am trying out different programs to see which fits best for me and my team

Electronic Medical Records and payment.

**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

It has a simple UI which makes it easy to use basic functions. Has a decent amount of good features.

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

It is very expensive and also freezes very often which is a big problem.

**Recommendations to others considering Allscripts CareDirector:**

I think they really need to revamp the software entirely. Healthcare software should not be freezing up as much as it does.

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It consolidates a lot of the features for managing patients and health records into one space which makes thing convenient. Less things to teach doctors within the network.

**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

Patient charting makes it easy to access patient records  and report on trends.

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

The dashboard patient information header does not refresh properly so we mostly don't use it.

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted physicians and providers to complete charts notes while in the room with the patients.  We have improved documentation and HIPAA compliance.

**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

Allscripts made it fairly easy to submit referrals to multiple skilled nursing facilities, LTACH, or DME companies in one step. 

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

The interface was not very intuitive, and the process for fax attaching documents did not always work well. At times there were also wrong contact/fax numbers for companies that were not also on the Allscripts system. 

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allscripts has been used at the hospital mostly for discharge planning and ensuring patients have the required care/materials when leaving the inpatient system. Being able to group multiple referrals together in one place was helpful.

Allscripts makes it very quick and convenient to send in an electronic order for a patient to another facility they are being referred to. It prevents loss of paper orders and cuts out time for inputting the order manually.

There are times when electronic communication is lagging and orders are not uploaded in a timely manner.

It cuts down time for manually inputting an order after a patient arrives, because the electronic order is already in the system when using Allscripts.8

Has functionality that is essential for hospice, but is missing from most other EMRs

Not very user friendly. Great for hospice team members, but too expensive for physicians.

**What do you like best about Allscripts CareDirector?**

I like that I can easily view all upcoming appointments of any given date, sort them by time and provider, and even print them out.  In a building with three floors, it's helpful to be able to filter these results and print out schedules for each floor.  The interface is very clean and without too many frills so once you know where you're going, it doesn't take much time at all.

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

It can take some time to get used to navigating.  The method for opening up stored photos of insurance cards and photo ids can be a bit cumbersome as it is not streamlined in the patient's chart.  Currently, even if I am viewing a patient's chart and click on the Patient Registration button, I have to use a pop-up search box to look up the patient again and THEN open another window which contains all images scanned to their chart.

If you need a clean, no frills program to keep your electronic medical records and schedules, Allscripts is a great option!

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to prescreen scheduled patients for missing documentation and print out lists of the daily schedule which I can then highlight for receptionists to help them identify these patients as they come in.  Because I am able to do this ahead of time, it really cuts down on patient wait time.  It also reduces paperwork for most patients since only those who are missing documentation will receive it.

Easy to view data and entry login. Specialized areas which enable the user to understand what information is being entered with titles for each area. 

**What do you dislike about Allscripts CareDirector?**

ease of flow is lacking between charting systems, design is too plain

**Recommendations to others considering Allscripts CareDirector:**

The layout and design is somewhat plain, if sections were highlighted and contrasted more it would be easier to navigate, sometimes it feels as though the user can get lost in the endless areas of white boxes. Also clicking from one section to another is annoying, some section automatically roll in the next while others you have to click out of and into the next area.

**What problems is Allscripts CareDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?**

as a user I have not been involved in user problem solving but do use the program and have found it enables continuity of care from one user o another
