Does what it needs to do with standard features but not a lot of bells and whistles. It will track applicants, it will keep time, it will integrate with outlook, and you can import and export data **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** Customer service is great with same day simple solutions. Almost all of it conducted via email and training video references - a lot of the training materials provided are outdated There are limited integrations. After meeting with numerous vendors at ASA, it was obvious that very few add on features integrate with Akken. With outlook there is a 15-20 minute lag with the outlook integration. When you click through different areas, it opens new windows or tabs - throughout the day you end up with dozens of open tabs. It is very clunky and not as streamlined as most cloud based systems. While not seamless, you can access the platform via mobile app or web. There are decent integration options with other platforms and mass upload and export options. AkkenCloud monthly trainings are very helpful, and great for learning new features and tips and tricks for navigating the system easier. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** Mass email messaging functions are a bit sloppy looking. The formatting is not pretty, and the Outlook add-on is very buggy and unreliable. System logs you out frequently throughout the day. Limited integrations with other platforms. No 24/7 helpdesk support available. **Recommendations to others considering AkkenCloud:** The data migration process took a lot of time and hard work on both sides. I would expect about 3-5 months from the beginning to going live. There may be better options out there depending on your needs and what ATS you are coming from. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** All in one ATS system, can source, post jobs, onboard candidates, and invoice clients. Data is accessible in real-time. Easy sharing data with other users internally. Tagging and grouping are very helpful. ### 3. In the future, if you want to pull someone up that you may think is a good fit for a specific job, AkkenCloud has all of the information provided from your previous entry. I also think that it's great that you can add notes to any candidate that enter into the system. This allows you to make specific notes and remember certain qualities or aspects of a conversation about a candidate. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** I wish that AkkenCloud was a little bit more user friendly in the sense that as a new user it can be somewhat overwhelming to look at. There is a lot going on as soon as you open up the home page and being able to navigate and search within the system are a little bit harder to do. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** AkkenCloud allows us to use its features to keep track of our candidates, keep track of how many candidates are submitted within a week and from what source and it also allows us to keep track of the clientele that we are working with and the jobs that we are currently working on. ### 4. The brown bag sessions are very helpful and having them to go back to is extremely helpful as well. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** I don't like that I can't unapply and reapply customer payments, a ticket has to be created for this and it takes a long time to get done. I also would like it if we could print/email customer statements of account balance showing our customers all open invoices on their account. The ticketing system could be better, they need to complete the tickets in a more timely manner. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having all timesheets in one are is very beneficial. Some of the reporting functions are great but it's difficult to get all of the information you are looking from the reports. Having to get custom reports created can be costly and time consuming. ### 5. The reporting features are very thourough. I think the searches in candidates and contacts are really easy to use and very helpful. The customer service has also been pretty good **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** A lot of things are not customizeable. That has been my biggest issue with Akken. One example is I always need to pull reports of every email address from the contacts under a certain activity note, and you can't. I preferred using the addin for windows to capture the resumes into the akKen system. Would rather use Outlook for email. Recording notes in the system in case you need to revert back to see if they could be a fit for something. If an assignment includes a job order, a candidate, and a company, all three should have automated adjustments when married. Status and openings should update. Docs and links should flow through. I'd like to open additional tabs via platform instead of manually opening a new browser tab for Candidates, Job Orders, etc. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Credentialing is organized and customizable. It allows you to move through pretty seamlessly. Often it appears there is an attachment, but then there isn't. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It assists as we keep track of contacts with companies and with candidates. Associates can't see their working schedule. Also some of the data isn't customizable (for instance, you can't filter out one specific skill or category. If you have 5 types of associate, you can only search for 1 type. You can't remove one and search the rest. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are responsible for our entire business' operational functions including staffing and payroll so that's benefiting the company. ### 17. More automation of the process is needed. I have to open multiple Browser Tabs to work between Tasklist, Company Profiles, and Contacts. Workflow is not efficient and creates additional Steps when working in the environment. When Placing a candidate on a job to full placement, the system is not changing the Candidate's Status to On-Assignment. There are a lot of functions that can be updated to make it Automatic; this is one process that should not be Manual. Unable to Group Batches of Todo and move to a new Date. You must move all individually. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Currently we are only really using the system to track Client/Candidate Calls and Communication. I do appreciate that the program is cloud based. Upgrades are being made. Lunch & learns have been insighful. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** Not being able to mass update bill rates within a client profile. Selecting the bill rates for client profiles is time consuming as the wondow that you select from is tiny and not able to be enlarged. Lack of having contractors be able to submit their credentials using the portal. Not being able to have the ability to sort and filter notes. Having to download a document to view, there should be a preview function. Inability to have customized reports with out having to jump through hoops. We were told at the very start of our interest with Akken that whatever information we enter, we will be able to pull a report and that is not accurate. When asking for support from Akken and directions, response is a guidance and not direct information. This causes frustration. Full and comprehensive training. The training we receive is generalized and really is no value when it does not apply to your daily tasks. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Akken is housing our CRM and specifically for my role, the credential process. ### 21. Editing timesheets is simple. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** Very slow at times. many filters and data that cannot be organized or viewed. Still need to have multilpe screens open for the same task to be in HRM and CRM at the same time. I also like that it has a alot of features. It truly is an all-in-one system. The cutomer service is great as well! **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** Sometimes the system glitches and I am not always able to get a respresentative on the phone when I call, but they do communicate well via email. I would like to see more availbility from the team to actually jump on a call especially for time sensitive issues. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to run all of our departments through one system instead of several different systems. Before AkkenCloud, we had COATS, which was an ancient system that was not convenient for our company. AkkenCloud has been a great transition. ### 38. In general I've had poor expereiences with customer service but since Nicholas Bitters started working as a CS, I feel like i've actually received quality assistance. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** I find Akken to be pretty clunky. It has many features that seem half thought through and then ultimately don't make a ton of sense in the context they've been created. It seems that many common funtions in every other CRM/ATS system I've utilized in the past, don't exist in Akken: I am not able to create custom reports, I am constantly having to create several reports and then combine them in Excel. It's a time consuming process; I am not able to view user logs or see a history of who/what changed a record. A basic common problem is that updates are made to lists/keywords/etc. and the site does not refresh with this new information- making the filtering funtions useless. Honestly, I have lists of issues. Much of Akken feels and looks outdated- I would not select Akken again and would/have recommended other companies against it. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Akken keeps a record of candidates that apply, are submited to jobs, and are ultimately placed. ### 41. It is fairly easy to view your dashboard and see your company's current open jobs, and you can filter your view to easily see your own candidates or job openings. **What do you dislike about AkkenCloud?** AkkenCloud is likely the most clunky, unintuitive ATS I've ever used, and I have used 8 or 9 throughout my career. There are many actions that require multiple clicks to perform when they should only require one click, and I often find myself having to look around the screen to find the button I need. I also don't like that you cannot open anything in a separate tab (candidate profiles or job openings) without holding the "CTRL" button down and then double clicking on the item you wish to open in a separate tab. If you don't hold the CTRL button down when trying to open up a candidate's profile, it will open in a new window entirely, which is a bit of a nuisance. I also don't like that inbound job applications are emailed to the OWNER of a job requisition, rather than the assigned Recruiter. It can be a bit of a nuisance having to continuously go back into the job req to see if there are any new applications. **What problems is AkkenCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps to organize candidate profiles, job applications, and open roles. I can't say that it doesn't provide any benefits at all, but I have been very displeased with it for the last 2 years that my company has been using it. It is difficult to navigate and doesn't contain many fairly straightforward features that other ATS platforms offer. Customization options are exremely limited if available at all. ### 42.
