I can adjust hours of operation, room configurations, and upload diagrams needed for set-up. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** The least helpful is some events not showing up in my notifications even though they fall into my notification perimeters and setting up new users has become complicated. It can take days to work through all the issues to get a new user into the system. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Accruent EMS to schedule our classrooms per semester and all other spaces for meeting both internally and externally. It gives me the flexibility to see internal requests immediately and assess room availability quickly when an external request comes in. It would be great to modernize the graphics, while keeping them simple, and to allow for more drag and drop options. I like how easy it is to use the desktop application; everything is right there in front of you in an easy-to-access platform. The colors make it easy to determine the various stages, and the ability to custom tailor the application to your needs is great. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** The web application isn't as user friendly. It also allows for cross-team functionality. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** There are a lot of idiosyncrasies with EMS. For example, having to repeatedly reset window coordinates to ensure functionality, the search function needs ultra-specific terms, and certain functionalities (such as sequencing) don't actually appear to do anything. Training guides can help some, but there are a lot of questions that our team has about configuration that are not easily answered because of how our team utilizes EMS. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Moving to a browser-based solution is going to solve a few of our issues, for certain! This, in theory, will help us stop resetting window coordinates, as well as not being able to click out of windows to double check information that we need to process requests. I also appreciate the thought that was put into the look of the system. We occasionally send screenshots of things out of EMS, and we are told that the system looks like it belongs in Windows 98, so these new appearances will make our team look more credible. ### 5. The customer support is not good. Support should be more responsive, timely, and transparent in sharing issues. I wish that more than one group type could be assigned to everyday users. No one else in the industry does a 100% price increase over 5 years. We can easily process room changes, and we can incorporate our campus partners into the system with minimal learning curve. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** The character limit has been posing massive challenges--we are a very diverse, multi-cultural university, and we have instructors with long names that cannot be listed in the system without causing EMS to crash. The result is that students register for a class without full knowledge of who will be teaching, and these instructors cannot utilize their experience to get future teaching jobs as our evaluations are connected to Banner/EMS. It takes quite some time for one to become a proficient user. It is very easy to handle reservation through billing right inside of EMS. Our schedulers are able to easily add details, required resources, and charges, our event teams can review needs and ask questions, and post event reports are generated for our management teams. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** Depending on the deployment and setup the system can be complicated for new users. We have found this requires a good amount of training to reach its full potential. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a solution to book events (without double booking) and allow all of our event teams to collaborate on event details. It makes it easy to see the different set up types for each room. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** I wish there were an option to notify you of a cancellation of a reserved space. If there is, my employer doesn’t use it. Because of this, you don't know if your room has opened up for any reason. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I think the biggest benefit is that the process is very standardized for our university events staff. Avoiding double booking of spaces is a must, and this is truly a lifesaver in that regard. It is a bit cumbersome to use at time. ### 27.
