## Subsplash Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlined Operations & Responsive To Feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenna D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

I love using Subsplash because it has streamlined all our operations by consolidating 14 or 15 different services into one platform. This change has made managing information much more efficient, as it ensures the data is mostly always correct, unlike when we were using multiple platforms before. The consolidation has provided our church, end users, and volunteers with a more predictable and streamlined experience. I'm also really pleased with how Subsplash listens to customer feedback and actually implements our feature requests, which shows they value and respond to their customers' needs. The support, especially from our client success person, Diana Stevenson, has been outstanding. She patiently helps me with my questions, shows immense care and friendliness, and is always wonderful to work with. I appreciate the platform's focus on trackable and accurate information, especially with features like people, groups, and giving, which have been highly beneficial for us.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

One thing that was a bit challenging was the initial experience when we started using Subsplash. We were told certain features would be active, but when we got into the platform, those features weren't ready or were only in beta and had a lot of issues still being worked out. It required us to be creative and stick with it until things improved. I think could be better transparency about where the platform is and clarity on what features are fully available at a given moment.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subsplash streamlines our operations by consolidating 14-15 services into one platform, ensuring correct data and providing a consistent user experience.

 ### 2. All-in-One Platform with Seamless Connections and a Lifesaving AI Builder

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liesl R. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

I really like that everything we need is in one place. It all connects easily, and it’s very simple to find what I’m looking for. The AI function for developing systems is a lifesaver, too.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

It’s a bit pricey, but considering all the websites and systems it’s replacing, the cost doesn’t feel too unreasonable.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We really appreciate that it works as a one-stop shop for all our needs. We no longer have to jump from website to website, which saves us a lot of time.

 ### 3. No church is "too small" to benefit from Subsplash

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Malesus Baptist C. | Minister of Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Our new friends at Subsplash have proven themselves capable, helpful, and competitive when compared to other similar programs we've used. As administrators, we use the platform every day, and our church members consult the Church App for every need from event registration, check-in, checking our weekly announcements, and even sharing prayer requests.

The platform is generally very easy to navigate/learn, and the things that are less intuitive, their stellar customer support has been very accommodating to our questions. They are consistently updating features to make the program even more successful, and the integration process from our previous system(s) was totally a breeze - launched within 2-3 weeks, and all the major bugs worked out within a month. Our church members are particularly pleased with the functionality of the baked in Church App.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Some of the customizable features are a little limited/confusing at times; even then, their support has been very helpful in either correcting our confusion or offering satisfactory alternatives until a new platform update makes our initial ideas possible.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Subsplash we were using several different programs/companies to address the needs they now supply. Some of them were leaders/cutting edge, but they didn't "play nice" with other programs we had in place (i.e., our Giving App didn't want to send donation data to our Personnel App, and our Service Planning App didn't always contain the right information from our Membership Database app... Supsplash has never had that problem).

 ### 4. An Expensive Platform for a One Person Ministry

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Subsplash was recommended to me as a safe platform where I can post content and not be censored. I still feel this way and since my previous review, they have made it even safer and provided a way to make content only visible to people I want to see it.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Since my last review, I have to say that their customer service has improved, even though recently I had a customer service rep contact me under the guise of wanting to help me grow my platform and then pitch me their new Pulpit AI product. I felt annoyed by the sales pitch, but after looking at Pulpit AI, I did invest in it and I have seen social media growth as a result of the product. The use of my Subsplash app is stil l low and mostly no one uses it despite the hundreds of pieces of content within it. People want to use social media and not mobile apps built for churches.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subsplash doesn't solve any problems for me.

 ### 5. Great Church App Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheryl C. | Strategic & External Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Our church has used Subsplash for going on a decade, and they've always been great with customer support, adding new features, providing training, and more! The product is very easy to use as well.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

They have several packages to choose from, but the premium version seems expensive for a non-profit. I would be nice if they offered an "a la carte" approach to be able to pick and choose the features that would work best for the organization, and not have to pay for things that we don't use.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel like the company is always looking to improve on their product and adding new features, like recently adding Apple CarPlay.

 ### 6. Best church management software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wayne L. | Preaching Elder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Subsplash is designed for churches. It is, hands down, the best for managing media, finances, chat groups, website, and everything you need in one location. There is simply not comparison.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

The only downside is just learning all the features. If you want to maximize everything, you could easily have this as your full-time job.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us reduce costs with multiple subscriptions, helping us make our volunteer's time for streamlined (which helps them to enjoy volunteering), and it solves our donor tracking.

 ### 7. Really hard to get support

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Started out really cool. Good plans good sales pitch.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Really poor customer service or support. biggest problem is getting someone to call me back when i have issues. They require an appointment be set up online.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They arn't solving anything..... and not providing promised services.

 ### 8. We got it for the app, but use it for everything!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arlona S. | Media Arts and Technology Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

We first got Subsplash just because there was a good app option. We already had a website that we liked. Then we discovered that Subsplash had a much better website option than we were using (and we were paying a lot more!) We switched over quite painlessly and haven't looked back at all.

We love how the Events page on our site is integrated! It automatically removes past events, making me look better at web maintenance than I am. :) It also links to the events in the app, making me not have to double-enter everything.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Today I was mildly inconvenienced by having to create an event twice to get it on the youth calendar and the church's main events calendar. It would be nice to copy it to the other calendar. It makes sense to have a separate youth calendar for their day to day events, but the main ones always need to be on both and that means a lot of copying and pasting to duplicate everything.

We love how the Events page on our site is integrated though! It automatically removes past events, making me look better at web maintenance than I am. :)

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subsplash provides our main website for the church, app, and helping us keep our events up to date with all the automation. It also has very good presets that we could set up to keep all of our pages looking excellent and uniform.

 ### 9. Lots of room for improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer F. | Communication Director

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Message video archive is pretty nice - we've been using it for about 6 years or so. I like that it can be embedded on our site and that users can search for key topics/passages, etc. Could use more functionality though - more flexible embed options.

We're also using their Mobile App tool. Some of the features on there are nice - embedding the iCal feed, and utilizing their own message archive.

Haven't gotten to preview their streaming service yet - our tech guy is setting all of that up this week.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

I see lots of room for improvement.

Connection to the dashboard is often very slow and the dashboard site has been down enough in the last year that it doesn't make me sure about their ability to provide consistent service. The dashboard takes a while to come up in general and it's not because our internet connection is slow. I'm not sure what that issue is.

Message video library could use more embed options for those of us who don't use SnapPages.

Mobile App could also use more options for those who don't use SP's giving or SnapPages. We should be able to build app pages vs having to move our webhosting. I'm probably just not aware of my options in this - someone, let me know if I'm thinking of any of this wrongly? I could really use some pointers.

Just launched our mobile app through SP but I am struggling with its lack of functional integrations [we use ACS Realm for giving] and although the subscription price is kinda steep, the options don't seem beefy. I'm very happy with our current website host and mobile site so SnapPages isn't really an option, but I don't want the whole app to kick users out of the app and to our mobile site vs keeping them in the app. Even if our mobile app is extraneous, I don't want it to feel like it is.

I know SP is a company that's goal is to make money, but trying to force each client to pay for all of their services so that the mobile app will be fully functional instead of allowing us to integrate services we already use seems to pigeonhole us instead of allowing SP to reach a broader client base. Is embedding our own services [pages or giving service] through integrations not acceptable because of app guidelines? I probably just don't understand but there aren't clear answers on the help site about this.

With the intense dislike of SP's back end UI that I've developed while putting the mobile app together, I'm not inclined to move our web hosting and so that makes creating a useful mobile app harder to create. I am on this site today cause I'm trying to decide if I should pay for yet another website host service [snappages] so that the app would be more viable and not so extraneous, but I still don't think we should have to adopt SP's giving tool if we already have one that's working fine - one that we cannot/will not be able to get rid of. Maybe the ability to send givers to our giving app would be nice - they could choose whether or not they open the link in the app or the mobile site as a security measure...

I like our mobile site very much and wish there was a way to create an app from that instead of doing it this way. I don't know enough about apps yet to create a workaround but from what I can tell, the only workaround there is for the SP mobile app tool is to purchase more of the SP tools and if all of those are as restrictive as the design options I've found when populating the mobile app... yeah, not leaning in that direction. Leaning more towards finding a company that can help me integrate all of our miscellaneous pieces.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed a place to host our video message archive - SP is great at that.
Needed a company that provided a tool that would allow us to develop a mobile app - they had that too.
Our tech guy wanted an easier way to publish weekly videos - sounds like the streaming service will allow him to do so - we'll see. I hope it will.

 ### 10. Good, but has issues

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris R. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

We use the mobile app and SnapPages for our website.

Mobile App:
- Very easy to build and maintain
- Good feature set for churches and non-profits
- Giving is very easy to setup

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

- Intergration is really bad. You cannot easily integrate the giving with CMS or QuickBooks (account).
- No integration with email
- SEO is lacking for the website
- The Blog is almost useless, you don't have much control over things (i.e. Author cannot be changed)
- Client Service Managers change frequently
- Very hard to get support, they don't answer emails, and you have to schedule an appointment to talk with someone
- Cost is high - we are looking at going back to a WordPress website and not use SnapPages. We will keep the Mobile App.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- The app is fantastic, and we were able to get live very quickly.
- Giving has been very good from a front end standpoint.
- SnapPages for the website is simple and will meet simple needs.

 ### 11. Subsplash is a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren N. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

I like the mobile app the best. The team Subsplash are really friendly, helpful, and very smart.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

I don't like the limitations of customization in the app. For instance, I can't use the Bible tab in the 'more' section. I wish you could take advantage of all of the tools instead of having to pick and limit.

**Recommendations to others considering Subsplash:**

Definitely a good product and a good company to get on board with.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Snappages inside the app is really limited with regard to color/font styles. I end up having to do workarounds a lot. All of the platforms that Subsplash acquired haven't quite settled in and made an ecosystem. Also, we're a multi-site church and would like to see some more flexibility and customization for logged in users to choose their campus, etc.

 ### 12. Great, quick, and efficient customer service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian B. | Music Worship Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

The best thing I like about using Subsplash is their commitment to walking with their customers all along the way during the development of applications and websites.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Their prices are a bit steep depending on your church budget restraints. Depending on what type of functionality you want from your church app, the "add-ons" can quickly "add" up.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest problems that Subsplash has helped us solve is accessing the latest templates in web design. Their platform allows us to choose from many modern and classic templates to build our church website.

 ### 13. Subsplash makes creating an app easy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

I love how user-friendly the Subsplash platform is. Subsplash has simplified the process of creating an app from the ground up. Once the app is live, the Subsplash platform has many great features to keep your app relevant and up to date without adding a considerable amount to your weekly workload.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

I don't have any significant complaints about Subsplash; it is probably the most valuable platform our church uses to have content available on our audience's devices. One issue we have come up against in the past year is how to make the most out of the app platform when we are not using their congruent website platform. We use Squarespace to design and host our website because of the level of editability and features that Subsplash's website platform cannot provide at this time. Because of that, we cannot fully benefit from the features Subsplash has in its events and media lists that are compatible with both of their platforms.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subsplash makes creating an app an easy thing to do for any skill level. They also have incredible features that help organize media such as videos and create audio versions of videos accessible to anyone with an apple, amazon, or google device. They have an excellent notification feature that helps you segment your app users into different groups and send notifications to all users or segments. Their events section helps to organize information that is important to users. Subsplash is an excellent tool for any community of faith.

 ### 14. Subsplash helps with our website, app and giving platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Candace A. | Church Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Ease of use. Once our website was set up it's easy to keep it current and up to date. We use Subsplash for our website, app, and giving platform.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

I can't think of anything we don't like about Subsplash. It's been a win for us!

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our website allows outsiders to know who we are, what we believe, and what we are about. The app allows our regular attenders to get information quickly and easily.

 ### 15. Fantastic looking website creator, fantastically awful responsiveness to issues

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Subsplash's SnapPages empowers me to create an innovative, attractive website in a reasonably intuitive way.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Unresponsive to ongoing issues I've had to the builder, no undo, glitchy, company seems focused only on their app creator and at times seems dismissive of the wonderful tool they have in their web creator. So much potential for this thing, even with the problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Subsplash:**

I'm torn about Subsplash because they have so much potential, and their SnapPages website builder is a wonderful tool. I both love them and get powerfully frustrated with them at the same time.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a stand-out website that handles traffic well.

 ### 16. A Central Hub for content, next steps, & community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Subsplash gave our organization a central hub to house all of our media items, calendar events, signup forms, and produced elements. We are also able to push out push notifications to reach all available users at once with messaging and linked content.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Although the setup of the backend has been thought through immensely, you are really creating the mobile app experience within their folder structure and templated outline. It was a little challenging to imagine how this would really look, feel, and be used when just working in their backend environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Subsplash:**

Inside the evangelical church world, Subsplash is no question the leading competitor in creating a platform for churches to push out produced content, media, signups, events, small groups, etc. The interface is built with the user in mind and we have seen more results of engagement than any other product that we have offered out audience.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of sending our audience to multiple different places to take a call to action, we have one place. In any arena or situation, our audience knows that the Subsplash mobile is the place to go and find out what's going on. We are tracking the use of the mobile app through Subplash's analytics to measure our ongoing engagement.

 ### 17. A great solution for church media and communication.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Subsplash offers a great selection of plans at different price points to fit a variety of churches’ needs and budgets. They do what they say they do, and for the most part they do it well.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

The only significant downfall of Supsplash is their website platform. It’s still in its early stages and has some bugs to worked out. You’re probably better off using another option for websites and use Subsplash’s web embeds to power sermons and events.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Subsplash’s mobile app and web platforms to publish weekly sermons, communicate and promote church events and functions, and provide a one-stop medium for information about our church.

 ### 18. We Love Subsplash

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah A. | Web Application Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Simple back end that allows us to build our church app to cater to our needs. Easy to update and move things around. Easy to duplicate repeating events for our calendar.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

The only thing I would love to be able to do is build our own content page. Currently, most content pages have to be linked to an exterior web page. Or you have to be creative using the media pages without media.

**Recommendations to others considering Subsplash:**

Definitely recommend Subsplash for anyone who does not have developing capabilities (both app and web). They offer easy to manage templates, and will always help walk you through anything you might have questions about.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This keeps everything streamlined for our church. Instead of having to go to a website or find a bulletin, our congregation can download this app and see everything they need to know about upcoming events, registrations, can watch/listen to all of our sermon content, as well as music. We are able to update all of our Kids/Family content each week so that parents can stay up to date with what the kids are learning each week. They are also able to do all of their monthly/extra financial giving seamlessly through our app.

 ### 19. Great for sermon archives!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

Sub splash is great for us as a church, we use it to archive our messages or our website! It integrates perfectly with square space.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

It can be a bit tricky to get all of the messages in the right order, especially when you have lots over Time.
Also uploading requires your computer to stay awake for up to 2 hours at a time

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us organize our message archive and it seamlessly blends with our website. A one stop shop

 ### 20. User Friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

I like the ease of adding new content, and the variety of content that can be added.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

Not enough customization options, sometimes I would like to make some changes to the app.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Holding a database of sermons, on a mobile device has made it easy for our followers to stay encouraged.

 ### 21. Great Church App Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

I like that they clearly have church experience and that their features are built for churches.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

I dislike that some of their features are not user-friendly or they don't include some very necessary features. One example is that you cannot create reoccurring events through their platform, which forces you to create multiple items every time you have a reoccurring group or event. The only workaround is to create a google calendar and link it to Subsplash, but even then you can't use their website embed because that does not support google calendars. Some of these issues are even addressed in their faqs as being known issues, but there is no statement about adding these features later.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our church needs a way to communicate with active members versus newcomers.

 ### 22. Giving Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Pastor David Hankins, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Subsplash?**

The accessibility to users for this app is remarkable. I have 70+ years old members who use it easily.

**What do you dislike about Subsplash?**

I can't quite get Subsplash hooked up to my Community Builder correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Subsplash:**

Definitely give a short tutorial to any staff on how to use it.

**What problems is Subsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not noticed any problems. Our church-wide giving has increased massively due to this app.
