Easy to use and packed with features. I can find plenty of tutorials on YouTube, and there are paid YouTubers, so I count that as a form of customer support. It also integrates with many other apps. I use it about twice a week. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The only issue we encountered was a few bugs when the license was close to expiring. Also, it’s meant to be used with iOS. It really is plug and play. As a AV Director I like how I can use piece of software that can be used for church applications aswell as corporate events. I love the deep level of control, automation, routing, and styling for any level of presentation. Whether you are a small church or conference up to a huge event, Proprsenter gives you the tools to do anything you need. They also update the software suite to make it easier and more robust. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** I wish moving presentations were easier between computers. It is confusing how to move presentation files well. I also wish they had a cloud storage option for presentations so you could work on the files in the cloud on one computer and have it synced to another. This would help with colaboration. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Propresenter to run graphics, videos, and confidence monitors for live streams, live events, and hybrid events. It allows me to pre-build presentations and set automation to make events easy to run. You can also have multiple video outputs for stage monitors, speaker monitors and alpha channels for live streaming. ### 8. The user base is so large that there is always someone using it in a similar way or running into similar problems to help troubleshoot. The features in ProPresenter 7 allow us to send NDI signals to multiple monitors, and we have appreciated the ease of getting volunteers up-to-speed in using the software too. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** Some of the bugs in the PC version of ProPresenter don't exist in the Mac version, so when we encounter PC-specific bugs it takes a bit more work to resolve. The support team (an annual fee) is awesome, but the amount of bugs in each build can get annoying, especially if it is something specific to your own context. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** ProPresenter allows us to display lyrics and videos easily and clearly for our gathered worship services. We also use it to send slides and videos to the livestream computer. It is a relatively stable and reliable solution with so many potential bells and whistles that we don't even get to in our rather simple usage. ### 9. It is easy to use with almost no learning curve. It has almost every feature conceivable for someone who wants to take their display project to the next level. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** SOme of the older features (like Telestrator, where you can draw on your slides with a stylus) are not incorporated in Version 7 and forward. The return of those features would be very helpful in later versions. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** In my context, I need to display song lyrics and sermon points to the congregation while also showing more technical information to the people on stage (lyrics for the current and next slide, timers, current time, etc.). I also need something that allows me to stream an NDI input from my iPad when I teach, and send an overlay to my video switch for lower-thirds lyrics for our livestream. There is really very little PP cannot accomplish. We send to screens around our campus with ease and haven't run into much that we haven't been able to do for our context. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** When PP updated to Pro7, there is a lot you can do, but training our volunteers and part time staff has been challenging. They run into issues and have difficulty troubleshooting the problems on the fly. This has left us in instances with the entire program shutting down during a worship service on multiple occasions. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves our need to project information to screens in a quality fashion. We have lyrics, message slides, videos, announcements, and more that need to be seen by our congregation and PP does that pretty well. ### 13. It gives us a one-stop-shop to have everything available for our service. Also, they have done a great job incorporating other developers into their software that allow us to add hardware and or software that works with ProPresenter allowing triple-wide screens, bible apps, and lyrics from SongSelect. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The licensing they require you to have is one downfall that I am not a fan of. If you have a corporate license for the actual software, you still have to have an individual permit for the addon to the software for each workstation rather than a "corporate" style license for those add-ons. The one that comes to mind is the Matrox TripleWide license. You have to have the hundreds (I don't remember the price) for each workstation using this function. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to handle all our service presentations with one computer with the new PP7 updates. This allows us to control what is streamed that is different from what is presented to the lobby and elsewhere. ### 14. You do all the work of loading graphics, media, text, and many other things on the computer, but to the audience, all they see is only the items you want to push to your screens. It always allows you to make any last-minute or on-the-fly changes to the presentation without the audience ever knowing. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The only real place the software is lacking is in the media creation portion. If you need to design a slide with text and pictures or background, it can be not easy if you want to do anything past the basic editing. In something like PowerPoint, it allows for much more options and advanced design. It isn't a huge deal, but it just means you will need to do most of your creation outside of Pro Presenter. **Recommendations to others considering ProPresenter:** I would say if you need a presenting software, this is the place to start and try before the others. You won't be dissapointed. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem that this software solves is a way to professionally present something to a crowd or audience without showing all the behind-the-scenes tech work like dragging videos or pictures onto the screen and changing slides. It also solves the problem of disorganized things and allows you to set a playlist of all of your presenting needs for each presentation. ### 15. Also, their customer support is phenomenal. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The costs that are associated with upgrades to the software at times seem substantial especially for smaller churches. I have used MediaShout, EasyWorship, and a handful of others over the tenure of my local church ministry and ProPresenter, by far, is the best in the market. Take advantage of the added options that ProPresenter offers. We have used it to project a triple wide image with our Environmental projection computer, as well. The Parent Company, Renewed Vision, has a great understanding of what churches need. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we use ProPresenter in our services, it allows us to unify evryone present and to stream to those watching at home. The ability to customize lyric templates keeps the words to the songs readable and modern. The ability to create templates for sermon series allows us to "brand" our series and create a cohesiveness to the asthetics. ### 32. ProPresenter is the very best church presentation software. We use it for projecting the lyrics for our congregational worship (hymns & worship songs). We utilize a library of background motions that easily "drop" behind the lyrics and help create a more visually interesting and consistent thematic aspect to our services. As the pastor, I no longer use Keynote or Powerpoint to build my sermon presentations. I prepare my sermon presentations directly in ProPresenter. I love the formatting options they offer as well as how easy it is to use or create slide backgrounds for my messages in ProPresenter. They have all of the major English Bible versions for download purchases directly into the app and you can format how you want your Bible text to display in a lot of different templates. Very cool and easy to use. You also have the ability to create and save your own Templates and then you can easily switch the layout of your songs by switching to a different template (for instance, you can have all of your lyrics be centered for a song or you could change and use a template where all of your lyrics are formatted to the lower third of the screen). The Templates feature lets you make major changes to an entire "document" with just a few clicks. Super easy to add video clips, video soundtracks, or your own ministry videos right into your service timeline to use in the service. You can also audio tracks or sound effects and cue them to specific slides in a presentation or as their own separate item in the playlist. I personally LOVE the way you can create a Presentation Timeline - this allows you to automate the playback of your slides. We use this to create lyric presentations to accompany and play in time with audio soundtracks. It's like making your own lyric videos. Very cool and super helpful (at least for us). We also use the Timer feature to schedule and automatically start our countdown video prior to the start of each service. Our church does not use Planning Center Online but I know that ProPresenter has great integration with that software as well. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The thing I dislike the most is that we do encounter periodic issues where our computer and the software seem to lose track of what image(s) are supposed to be going to which screen. This is usually solved by going into the Preferences settings of ProPresenter and adjusting the displays or going into our iMac and tweaking the display settings. Sometimes it requires a restart of the computer and/or projector to get everything back in sync. We operate ProPresenter and send a primary output to our main screen for the congregation, a confidence monitor on the back wall (showing the primary output screen), and then we have two Stage Display monitors on the platform as well as one Stage Display in our media booth for them to see and verify what the worship team or pastor on stage is seeing. We also send a main output screen to a monitor at our Welcome Center and in our church nursery. Our p.a. board, live video camera feed, our live-stream feed, and all of the different ProPresenter output screens are all being processed and handled through our 2017 iMac computer. So, I'm not totally surprised when it glitches out a little bit from time to time, but once we get the output signals resolved, it has always worked flawlessly for us in our services. And we've been using ProPresenter for almost 9 years now. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem we were facing with the recent COVID-19 pandemic was how to add quality live-stream functionality so that we could broadcast our services for our church family while our church facility was closed. ProPresenter enabled us to add that functionality through their software platform. We had to add some adapters and additional OBS software but after just a couple of weeks with some trial and error we feel that our live-stream service is very good for a church our size and with only volunteer staff for all of our media team. ### 33. There's a quick blackout mode and a bring to front override that are helpful for keeping mistakes to a minimum. You can also schedule black screens between elements to keep button happy people from over-advancing. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** Training on how to use this well can be a bear. There are many features that, while helpful for customization, also create myriad possibilities for mishaps in the setup. For example, the videos inserted are default to loop and have an easy toggle button. One of our most frequent mistakes in presentations is that the video begins playing again immediately upon completion and the presenter gets interrupted when they try to move on. There are ways around these situations, but they took a lot of lived experience to anticipate from the set-up side of things. **What problems is ProPresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've solved for the most difficult aspects of presentation which always involved switching inputs (ie from PPT to dvd or music). We love being able to preset the order of service during the week before Sunday across all types of media necessary. No more switching inputs and cramming cables behind the switch board. ProPresenter solves a sure felt need,if a little cumbersome to learn the set-up. The most important aspect is how volunteers are able to use it during a presentation, and that part is the most intuitive. ### 34. When students arrive, they see announcement slides automatically cycle. When I teach, our tech person can easily fire the slides needed that apply to my lesson. Like I said earlier, if a slide is out of sequence, all the need to do is click on the proper slide. I also love that if you have limited staff members, you are able to set-up and use this product remotely. For example, if you are on a church worship team or any other band, you can trigger ProPresenter right from your Ableton setlist (two ways: remote (wifi [recommended way]) or within Ableton [not recommended unless you have enough RAM]). **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The one thing I did not like is that the latest version had a lot of bugs with OSX. It ran super slow and would freeze up. It allows me to track the wqhole bible with just a few clicks and cuts my show prep time WAYYY down. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** It has a few bugs that I frequently run in to; such as, when I only have 1 monitor hooked up and i turn the "Display" on to run the show, it will not let me get out of fullscreen slides so I have to close the program or hard reset the computer. It wont let me click the white X in the bottom left corner. Aside from that, I don't have many complaints. I can have a team member trained within 3 uses of this product on basics and then just build from there. I still handle the heavy lifting (so to speak) with custom Title slides and stage display... basically the more intricate stuff but even for me doing complex stuff I've only been working as team lead with this product since December and I would consider myself above average. The ProPresenter company has endless youtube teaching videos that are infinitely helpful, they make using this product simple. And anytime I have had to consult support staff they are timely, helpful, effective, and followed up multiple times. I Love this product and I wouldn't change from it for anything. Every update brings improvements I didn't even realize were needed but are so helpful! The team that manages and creates this really has it going in the right direction. **What do you dislike about ProPresenter?** The lick of freedom to edit documents. You are very limited if you have to last minute build something (Title slide, announcement slide, etc.) You can't curve text, pivot images very well, and layering is more difficult because you have to move images back and forward individually instead of being able to pull up a list and reorder objects. These thing still wouldn't deter me from this product because it's positives far outweigh the few negative. **Recommendations to others considering ProPresenter:** It will take some time to get your set up just right...
