"Awful support service and fraudulent billing practices"
0/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

They used to be the most popular solution, which is why we chose them. They do offer a lot of integrations, although in our case we mainly used the most common ones (Meta, Google, TikTok).

The UI was generally okay, but we still ran into some lag, and occasionally certain pages wouldn’t open.

I can’t say anything specific about the AI features, since we didn’t use that part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

We stopped using the service about 1.5 years ago and moved to the free Zero plan. A few months ago, AppsFlyer decided to further restrict the free plan and asked us to sign an annual contract, which we declined. Despite that, they switched us to a paid plan anyway and billed us for services we didn’t request and that, in our view, weren’t provided. On top of that, support has been ignoring our requests to void the invoice.

From our perspective, this looks like fraud, and we’re deeply dissatisfied.

As for the service itself, we don’t find it useful in the post-IDFA era. Probabilistic attribution can be easily replaced with an in-house solution in an evening.

I really wish we had chosen an alternative solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Attribution and In-Depth Analytics for Advanced Measurement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

What I appreciate most about AppsFlyer is the wide range of attribution and analytics features it offers. The platform supports many advertising partners and gives me access to detailed marketing data, which makes it easier to understand performance across channels. Overall, it’s clear that AppsFlyer is built for organizations that need advanced measurement capabilities along with robust, in-depth reporting options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

My overall experience has been more frustrating than positive. The main challenge is the platform’s complexity: many tasks that should be simple end up requiring you to click through multiple menus and configuration screens. For new users especially, the learning curve feels much steeper than you would expect.

I’ve also found the interface difficult to work with at times. Key information isn’t always easy to find, and pulling certain reports can take longer than it should. The platform clearly contains a lot of data, but accessing that data quickly and efficiently is another matter.

Cost is another concern. For smaller teams or companies with tighter budgets, AppsFlyer can feel expensive relative to the value received. Some of the more advanced functionality could be useful day to day, but depending on the size of the business, it may not justify the overall investment.

Finally, I’ve run into situations where data discrepancies between AppsFlyer and advertising platforms created confusion during performance reviews. Even when there are technical reasons for the differences, it can still be hard to explain them to stakeholders who expect the numbers to match exactly across systems. "All Attribution Data in One Place with Reliable Integrations and Strong Fraud Detection"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

I've been working as a User Acquisition Manager for a mobile app for a little over two years, and AppsFlyer is one of the tools I use almost every day. The biggest advantage for me is having all attribution data in one place instead of jumping between different ad network dashboards and trying to make sense of conflicting numbers.

What I personally like is that I can quickly see which campaigns are bringing users that actually stay in the app and generate revenue, not just installs. The cohort and retention data have been especially useful when comparing traffic quality across channels. We run campaigns on several networks, and AppsFlyer makes it much easier to understand where our budget is working and where it isn't.

The integrations are also reliable. Once everything was set up, data started flowing consistently, and I haven't had many issues with tracking accuracy. I also appreciate the fraud detection tools. We discovered suspicious traffic sources a few times that looked fine on the surface but were performing poorly when we dug deeper into the AppsFlyer data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

The platform can feel overwhelming at first. There are a lot of reports, settings, and attribution options, and new team members usually need some time before they become comfortable navigating everything.

Another thing I've noticed is that some reports can take a while to load when you're working with larger date ranges. It's not a major problem, but when you're trying to compare performance across multiple campaigns quickly, it can slow down the workflow a bit.

I also think some features could be explained better within the interface itself. There were a few cases where I had to search through documentation or ask colleagues to fully understand how a specific attribution setting would affect reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AppsFlyer Delivers a Reliable Source of Truth for Attribution and ROI Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

What I like most about AppsFlyer is how it turns a very chaotic part of mobile marketing into something structured and actually usable for decision-making. In practice, mobile acquisition data is messy by default — different ad networks report metrics in their own way, attribution windows don’t always match, and privacy changes have made tracking even more fragmented. AppsFlyer manages to sit in the middle of all of that and provide a consistent layer of truth.

One of the strongest aspects for me is the reliability of attribution across multiple channels. When you’re working with a mix of performance campaigns on platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok, and various affiliate networks, it’s easy to end up with conflicting numbers. AppsFlyer helps normalize those differences so you’re not constantly second-guessing which dashboard is “correct.” That stability is extremely important when you’re making budget decisions under time pressure.

I also really value how it supports both high-level strategy and deep technical analysis at the same time. On one side, you can quickly see overall ROI, installs, and cost metrics. On the other, you can drill down into very detailed user-level or event-level data. That flexibility means it works just as well for marketing managers as it does for analysts who need granular insights.

Another thing I appreciate is how well it adapts to the current privacy-focused environment. With frameworks like SKAdNetwork and other attribution limitations, many tools struggle to maintain meaningful reporting. AppsFlyer continues to evolve in that space and still manages to deliver actionable insights even when data is partially restricted or delayed.

The integration ecosystem is also a big advantage. Most major ad platforms, analytics tools, and marketing services connect smoothly, which reduces a lot of manual work. Once everything is properly configured, the system runs quite smoothly in the background and becomes a dependable source of performance data.

Overall, what stands out most is the confidence it gives in interpreting marketing results. Instead of relying on fragmented or platform-biased reports, AppsFlyer provides a more neutral, consolidated view that helps teams focus on optimization rather than reconciliation of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

What I dislike about AppsFlyer is that, despite being very powerful, it often feels like a platform built more for enterprise teams than for everyday practical use. It solves complex problems well, but that complexity comes at the cost of simplicity and speed, especially when you just want quick answers.

One of the main challenges is how steep the setup and configuration process can be. Things like attribution rules, partner integrations, event mapping, and custom tracking require careful configuration, and it’s not always obvious what the “right” setup is. If something is even slightly misaligned, it can lead to data gaps or confusing discrepancies later on, which makes the onboarding phase feel a bit fragile.

Another drawback is the user interface. While it’s functional and data-rich, it can feel overloaded with information. There are many menus, filters, and report types, and it’s not always intuitive where to find specific insights. Over time you learn your way around, but initially it can feel more complicated than it needs to be.

I also think reporting flexibility, while strong, sometimes comes with friction. Building very specific custom views or combining datasets in a meaningful way is not always as straightforward as expected. In some cases, you need to rely on workarounds or export data externally to get exactly the structure you want.

Cost is another factor. AppsFlyer is clearly designed for larger organizations with significant marketing budgets. For smaller teams or startups, the pricing can feel heavy compared to simpler attribution tools that cover basic needs.

Finally, like many mobile attribution platforms, it’s still affected by external ecosystem limitations such as SKAdNetwork delays and partial data visibility. While AppsFlyer handles these constraints better than many alternatives, it still means you don’t always get fully real-time or fully complete data, which can be frustrating when you’re trying to optimize campaigns quickly.

Overall, it’s a very capable system, but the trade-off is that you pay for that capability with complexity, setup effort, and cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Judith Arkush of AppsFlyer

Thanks for the detailed review. Turning fragmented channel data into a reliable source of truth is core to what we do, so good to hear that's coming through.

"Comprehensive, Reliable Attribution and Analytics in One Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

What I like most about AppsFlyer is how comprehensive and dependable it feels as a mobile attribution and analytics platform. It’s the kind of tool that quickly becomes central to your marketing stack because it pulls so many moving parts into one place and actually helps you make sense of them.

In my experience, attribution accuracy is its biggest strength. When you’re running campaigns across multiple channels—paid social, search, OEM traffic, affiliates—it can be a real challenge to understand what’s truly driving installs and conversions. AppsFlyer does a strong job of tying everything together and giving you a clear, consistent source of truth. Even when tracking gets more complicated with SKAdNetwork or broader privacy restrictions, the platform still manages to surface usable insights rather than leaving you guessing.

I also appreciate how flexible the reporting and dashboards are. You can move from high-level performance overviews down to very granular user acquisition data without feeling overwhelmed. It’s easy to segment by campaign, geo, media source, or even specific in-app events. For performance marketing teams, that level of detail is extremely valuable because it supports real-time budget optimization instead of relying on assumptions.

Another area where AppsFlyer stands out for me is its integration ecosystem. It connects smoothly with most major ad networks and analytics tools, so you don’t have to constantly worry about data silos or manual exports. Once everything is configured properly, it runs fairly autonomously, which saves a lot of operational time.

From a usability standpoint, the interface is relatively clean given how complex the underlying data can be. It’s not the simplest tool out there, but once you’re familiar with the structure, it becomes logical and efficient to navigate. The ability to build custom dashboards and share reports across teams also helps collaboration between marketing, product, and analytics.

Overall, what stands out most is the confidence it gives you in your data. In performance marketing, that confidence is crucial—and AppsFlyer does a strong job of delivering it consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

What I dislike about AppsFlyer is that, while it’s a very powerful platform, it can feel quite complex and heavy to work with, especially in the beginning. The learning curve is definitely not small. For new users or smaller teams without dedicated analysts, the interface and terminology can be a bit overwhelming, and it takes time to fully understand how all the reports, attribution models, and settings connect together.

Another downside is that some of the most useful features are not immediately intuitive to set up. For example, configuring custom events, partner integrations, or advanced attribution rules often requires careful attention and sometimes technical support. If something is misconfigured, it can lead to gaps or inconsistencies in data, which makes the setup phase quite sensitive.

I also feel that the UI, while functional, could be more modern and streamlined. There is a lot of information packed into dashboards, and at times it can feel a bit cluttered or “dense,” especially when you’re trying to quickly compare performance metrics across multiple campaigns. It works well once you get used to it, but the initial experience could definitely be smoother.

Pricing is another aspect that can be a concern for smaller businesses or early-stage projects. AppsFlyer is clearly designed with enterprise-level use cases in mind, so for teams with limited budgets, it may feel a bit expensive compared to lighter attribution tools.

Finally, occasional delays or discrepancies in data processing can happen, especially when dealing with privacy-focused attribution frameworks like SKAdNetwork. While this is partly due to external ecosystem limitations, it still impacts the overall experience when you need real-time precision.

Overall, the platform is very strong, but it definitely comes with complexity and cost trade-offs that not every team will find easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Judith Arkush of AppsFlyer

Thanks for the detailed review. Great to hear the attribution accuracy and data confidence are holding up across such a complex channel mix.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

What I dislike about AppsFlyer is that it can feel quite complex for new users, especially when setting up advanced attribution models or custom events. The interface, while powerful, sometimes has a learning curve that requires training or documentation to fully understand.

Another downside is the pricing structure, which can be relatively high for smaller teams or startups. Also, some reports and raw data exports could be more flexible and faster when working with large datasets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Dashboard and Reliable Attribution for Smarter Marketing Decisions"
4/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

What I like most about AppsFlyer is how easy it is to track and analyze user acquisition across different channels. The dashboard is intuitive, reports are detailed, and integrations with major ad networks save a lot of time. What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

One drawback is that the platform can feel overwhelming for new users due to the large number of features and configuration options. "Custom Reports and Cohort Tables That Make Ad Optimization Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

I find the custom reports, cohort tables that I can use like Excel, and the simple interface quite successful. And of course, it makes ad optimization much easier. Having an account manager who speaks our native language is usually very helpful, as it allows us to understand issues quickly and resolve them more efficiently. It has significantly simplified complex integration processes with third parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

The cohort retention report is the one I use most, and when I want to do period-over-period comparisons, I have to do a lot of manual work, which I don’t like. I would like a feature that allows comparisons such as “vs. previous week” to be added here. In the gaming industry, attribution costs can sometimes be quite challenging for companies operating globally and publishing hyper-casual games. In low-revenue countries, we sometimes end up turning off ads purely because of MMP-related costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Judith Arkush of AppsFlyer

Glad the custom reports and cohort tables are making ad optimization easier, and that having a local account manager has made a difference. We're always working to improve the reporting experience. Thanks for the review.

"Accurate Tracking, User-Friendly Dashboard, Needs Enhanced Reporting"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

I like that AppsFlyer provides accurate attribution tracking and real-time analytics, making it easier to analyze campaign performance. Its easy integration with multiple ad platforms and CRM tools streamlines our marketing processes. The user-friendly dashboard gives detailed insights into installs and user behavior, which helps optimize our campaigns and improve marketing ROI. The initial setup was easy, thanks to the available documentation and guides. Beyond that, AppsFlyer's strong attribution capabilities and reliable analytics have been essential for my work, as it was the first platform I used in my career. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

Some advanced features in AppsFlyer can be a bit complex for new users, and the dashboard may feel overwhelming at times due to the amount of data available. Reporting customization and integration speed could also be improved for a smoother experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Judith Arkush of AppsFlyer

"Appsflyer : Problem solver, easy to use and benefit the business"
4/5
What do you like best about AppsFlyer?

There are very easy process of reporting, integrating pid to extract links, and in which its track full user journey from clicks to events. its helps companies to track the performance of any application by providing the raw data access and we can also see the P360 for any offers to optimise the campaign. We can also see the pricing and the ROI of and offers that track on real time. user interface is very easy to understand which navigates smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppsFlyer?

Now the new feature i dislike to enter the code every time i have to login, which is a little time consuming. You can improve this by entering the code only one time in 24 hours.

Also, there is some concern about the cost of the platform is a bit high for the new startups and smaller companies which can be reduce as per the requirement of the client by buying it some plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Judith Arkush of AppsFlyer

Thanks for the feedback - great to hear the real-time campaign tracking and full user journey visibility are working well for your team.

We've noted your feedback on the friction points and flagged it internally.
