I like how simple Proofpoint Email Encryption is. I just hit send on my email, and it automatically encrypts it if there's patient information or anything that needs it. The only thing I noticed with Proofpoint Email Encryption is that it sometimes encrypts emails that are just case numbers. For support calls, it can mistakenly encrypt them, thinking some of the numbers are sensitive information when they're not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Customization of alerts is what I like with Email Security, its help us to identify and minimize suspicious email from attackers which makes our organization more secured. It is easy to use and does not require much user involvement in performing encryption of email contents (body & attachments). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm not a huge fan of the layout. It was fine after I got used to the new look. I feel that this is always a challenge when switching from one system to another though do not necessarily an issue in the program design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the best part of Proofpoint Email Encryption is that you can set the system up so that the message tries TLS first and if it can't negotiate the appropriate level of encryption, or possibly none, it will fallback to use the secure messaging portal. You can also set it up so that if your recipients also use Proofpoint Email Encryption it can automatically decrypt the message as it passes through so the end user doesn't have to mess with decryption at all. There isn't a whole lot to dislike here. It works well and is easy to use from an admin perspective and more importantly an end-user perspective. Probably the biggest con is that if you send email to someone and it gets send via TLS, and they know their regulations (HIPAA, etc.), they might say something. The best part of Proofpoint is how seamless it is to integrate into yours and all your users emails. The only thing you will notice is that instead of the spam you usually receive you instead receive (from my settings) up to one email a day that provides you with all the emails that have been blocked. Setting up the software can take a minute if you are going to have it setup for a massive amount of people. Server maintenance is easy though and so is everything else after the initial setup is done. Other than that there is nothing that I personally dislike about the software. The fact that it filters the emails both efficiently and effectively yet still allows you to get the emails you need if they are falsely flagged. The best feature is its selling point which is protecting your users from phishing and scam attempts. I have yet to experience anything I do not like about the program, I didn't do the setup of the system so i wouldn't know. Every email that has been captured so far after about a year of use has seemingly been correctly flagged. Nobody has asked me to retrieve an email from the nets and I haven't had to go in for anything I was 'supposed' to receive either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's ability to filter out mass amounts of email very quickly and send the precise details to the end user as to avoid confusion. From everything I've used so far I dislike nothing, I know that isn't very helpful but I have had zero issues with the software. Every email that was quarantined was meant to be quarantined and I have received zero false positives so that's really good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
