## UserTesting Reviews
  ### 1. Fast, Genuine User Feedback That Removes Guesswork

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radhika R. | Full Stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting makes it really easy to understand what real users think and feel while using a product. What I like is how quickly you can get genuine feedback by watching users interact with your product and hearing their thoughts in real time. It removes a lot of guesswork from decision-making. Instead of assuming what users want, you actually see where they struggle or what they like. This helps improve designs, flows and features with more confidence and saves time that would otherwise go into back and forth discussions.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Usertesting can get expensive, especially if you need frequent tests or large number of participants. This can be a bit limiting for smaller teams or startups. Another downside is that the quality of feedback can sometimes vary depending on the participant. Not every session gives deep insights, so you still need to spend time filtering and interpreting results.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User Testing solves the problem of not really knowing how real users experience your product. Instead of relying on assumptions, internal opinions, or long feedback cycles, it lets you see and hear users interact with your product directly. For me, this is super helpful because it brings clarity fast. I can quickly understand where users get confused, what they like and what needs improvement. It saves a lot of guesswork, helps teams make better decisions wth confidence and ensures changes are based on real user behavior, not just opinions.

  ### 2. Access Frustrations, Promising Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivani B. | Freelancer (I do microjobs as part time while looking for an actual work ), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I use UserTesting because the platform values human opinions over AI-generated content, which I find meaningful. Their website boasts smooth animations and an intuitive user interface, enhancing my experience even though they currently don't offer a dedicated app for participants from India. I appreciate the platform's transparency; they promptly inform whether new participants can join, which saves time and prevents unnecessary waiting. Additionally, I am aware from online forums about the potential to earn well through participating in studies on UserTesting, which motivates my desire to get involved. Despite the issues with logging in, accessing the user interface via a Chrome browser is a seamless experience.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I find it frustrating that UserTesting does not consistently allow me to participate in studies, especially since I am from India and they state that participants are accepted from every region. It's disappointing to encounter repeated login issues that prevent me from participating because there are seemingly enough respondents already. This lack of access is disappointing because it prevents me from engaging in user studies and sharing my perspectives, despite the platform's claim to accept participants globally.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use UserTesting to participate in user studies, earning money for my time and opinions, which values human insights over AI-generated content.

  ### 3. Quick way to get insights, discovery and make great product & UX decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne L. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's really easy to set up a test and generally we have great quality users who take the time to answer questions thoughtfully and insightfully. It allows me to upload a prototype, point to a URL or upload an image which I then ask people to comment on. I use it about every 3-4 weeks to help me make important decisions about the UX of my product. Customer support are really helpful and quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It could do with more UK users, there are a lot of USA users but it's not clear how many users there may potentially be in different demographic sections like other regions.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ask users to look at or use a prototype and then make decisions from what they say - it gives us confidence in the decisions we make about what users want and value.

  ### 4. A intuitive tool, but perhaps thinly steteched on new capabilities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

How easy it is to use. How intuitive setting up moderated or unmoderated tests are. It's a very reliable tool for its primary use case- usability testing/interviews. The task options are well rounded allowing integration of a number of different types of tests if needed e.g. first impression testing or card sorts/tree testing, A/b testing etc Can be very useful to conduct testing when time is of the essence. A lot of scope in terms of freedom to create tests as needed.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Participant quality, particularly for new functions like the survey tool. The responses vs data we have in the past received via our website have been very varied, a persistent issue is the obvious 'side hustle' users who smash through tests to generate income. This has been a problem as well for moderated sessions on occasion where users are clearly not in the country you selected for/have no familiarity with the brand.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its our primary conduit to the users of our brands so its crucial to our work. We no longer have an intercept tool to capture live users from our sites so this is the primary method by which we are able to connect with our users.

  ### 5. Decent tool to gather user feedback and insights

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like the ability to do unmoderated user testing without having to manually recruit participants as this saves me a ton of time! I also like the ability to use AI insights although they are sometimes inaccurate and definitely require double checking.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Yes, AI Insights, their CommUnity which used to be great but now is horrible (please bring the old community back and honor the badges and points everyone worked so hard to earn that suddenly disappeared in February). I'd also love if they improved their communication as they have ignored messages in the CommUnity when reaching out for help. Communication for support bugs that happen for test analysis, which are crucial to ensure those are accurate, requiring more manual work as I have to tediously check to ensure every single answer is correct. For example, you use a scale rating and users select one option but the Metrics tab shows they selected another option, we have premium chat support but weeks later it still isn't resolved after reaching out by chat and email for help leaving us to have to abandon the test results as they are not reliable and we simply don't have the time to go through each of them. I felt quite helpless at that point when UserTesting is supposed to speed things up not slow them down.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us understand how users interact with our website and how we can make the experience better for them. Sometimes we have assumptions but aren't sure how they would truly feel about it and it helps to test those so we have answers early in the project. It also helps us move things forward in the process by showing why it's so important to make proposed changes.

  ### 6. One of the most complete tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanna d. | User Research Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting is one of the most complete tools in the market. They offer so many test types and their panel is robust, allowing us to run unlimited tests. The recording functionality is a differential. They constantly release product improvements.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Their interface can be a bit complex for non-researchers as they offee too many possibilities.I would like them to simplify it and provide more guidance to non-researchers.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily reach out to employees and B2B companies to run usability testes and interviews.

  ### 7. Great for general markets

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting is by far the fastest way to conduct unmoderated testing with live participants. They have a growing list of functionality that is desirable in a product (survey, moderated, unmoderated, first click, etc. etc.). The customer success managers are responsive and attentive.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The quality of the participant pool is not great. Often, participants are not truly eligible for the study they have screened into. Additionally, I dislike that I am unable to see user names in the new survey functionality. Additionally, it's difficult to recruit on UT for any group beyond general market (specific banking customers, commercial customers, private client, small business). I would also appreciate the functionality to double-screen before a participant is deemed eligible to participate in a study, similar to UserInterviews. I find that increases the quality of respondents and weeds out those who are untruthful on screeners.

While UT has all functionality you'd want (surveys, moderated, unmoderated, etc.) it seems that they continue to just add more new products to their roadmap before fine tuning the existing products. For example, in the unmoderated features, there is no way to randomly present more than 2 different prototypes. You can only counter balance with two.

Overall, it seems as though UT has focused on mergers and acquisitions and diversification of products, and in that time their competitors (UserInterviews, MeasuringU, Dovetail, etc.) have eclipsed them in quality because their competitors focus on a single product (moderated interviews, for example with UserInterviews) and become best in class for that specific product.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem is getting the voice of the customer quickly. Proprietary recruitment takes a long time and requires immense human power. Having the ability to just launch to a pool of people is the biggest benefit UT provides.

  ### 8. Good Participant Access, but Pricing and Scalability Are a Challenge

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User Testing offers a quck and covenient way to recruit non-users for unmoderated tests from their panel. The size and diversity of the panel allows to get responses within hours instead of days. The platform is user fliendly and test builder is robust, supporting a variety of research study types and integrations.
Sometimes the quality of feedback some users provide can be low, but luckaly User Testing offers to replace any session that wasn't useful with another one free of chanrge, and this action is only a button away.

Overall, UserTesting streamlines the process of running user tests and makes it efficient.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

While UserTesting is an excellent tool for recruitment speed, the pricing is quite high. It's one of the more expensive options out there and the subscription caps the number of seats. This limits the scalability for growing teams or when trying to democratize research to other departments. This became a challenge as our team expanded, and it wasn’t cost-effective.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem UserTesting helps us to solve is getting quality users feedback and validate our assumptions and hypothesis very quickly. You can create, launch a test and get first feedback from real people all within an hour or two. It also supports multiple research methods aloowing us to choose an approach tailored to our needs. This makes the user research process more efficient and flexible, benefiting teams by enabling faster, more actionable insights.

  ### 9. Indispensable tool in our UX Arsenal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony R. | Sr. User Experience Manager | Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User testing has provided a platform to generate a better understanding for both our product and marketing team. UT's immense stock of viable participants has opened up testing for us and sped up our processes. With a wonderful, supportive community, it truly is a platform that no UXer should be without.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It can be cost-prohibitive for individual contributors. It's something you may have to lobby for at your organization, but the sales team is great and can help in that regard.

**Recommendations to others considering UserTesting:**

You'll find that once you start using highlight reels and sharing the findings with colleagues around the organization, interest in the tool will skyrocket.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a smaller team, I'm able to handle a variety of requests from the organization easily, leaving more time spent processing the findings than coordinating meetings, screen shares, etc..

  ### 10. Helpful for quick turn feedback and research

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's fast and the video-on nature of it ensures quality. The team is able to conduct tests very quickly (same day or overnight usually) to get feedback to teams on anything from UI to marketing assets in an agile way.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some capabilities could be improved in terms of offering more complex question logic. Also they are improving the analysis capabilities but still could use improvement in how it helps make synthesis quicker/easier and exporting results (still some manual work involved with copy/paste).

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understand how people respond to our marketing messages and get feedback on product UI/experiences so we can identify opportunities for improvement. Also sometimes helps with foundational insights on topics that we just need some quick info on.

  ### 11. Valuable tool for qual research!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It helps conducting research super easy and quick especially when using their panel to recruit. I also appreciate all the new features constantly being added.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

If it had more integrations, that’d be great

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We always need to hear from our customers as well as potential customers so being able to quickly create studies, rolling them out and quickly getting insights is great

  ### 12. Quick and easy way to access participants

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jules O. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We have been able to easily access very niche users through user testing with screener questions and participant demographic filters. For most tests, we can get all the participants we need in less than 12 hours and often times quicker than that. UserTesting has streamlined our process beyond what we could have imagined before! UserTesting has also been very active in the research they do on their own platform, which has been very encouraging to be a part of.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some of the features and functionality for quantitative analysis are still pretty lacking. I know they are currently merging with UserZoom that should bring more robust quantitative features though. My only other dislike would be the clunkiness of their highlight reel creation. The flow of creating the reels could be much smoother than it is currently.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Participant recruitment and expediting test analysis. It has expedited our entire research process by at least 2 or 3 times what it would be without UserTesting.

  ### 13. Handy for get valuable results quickly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas N. | Design Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting.com is a very handy tool for quickly achieving valuable results. If you have the skills to build your own digital prototypes, you'll get insights in minutes to help you launch better products. Moreover, whenever I encountered an issue during a session, their support was prompt.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

No comments on the tool features, but the price is the only downside.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather user feedback data to validate interface designs and support proposals during stakeholder discussions.

  ### 14. Expensive and bad costumer service but gets most of the work done

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** María Elizabeth R. | Senior User Experience researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The reality is that it charges too much and the quality of participants has become worse overtime, however for quick short tests is very efficient in the recruitment.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Cost and customer service for the quality that it provides

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick recruitment and unmoderated studies

  ### 15. UserTesting makes collecting user feedback on our products and experiences easy and streamlined

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethany G. | Brand Optimization Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Their recuitment features make fiding our target audiences a breeze. I'm so grateful to have this tool, otherwise recruitment for my studies would take SO much longer and require so much more time and effort on my part. Instead, I can devote that time and effort to study design, synthesis, and helping my organization implement the changes our customers need. Also, their customer service is amazing!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

For being a platform dedicated to helping people improve their user experience, some of the UI elements and navigating the platform is clunkier than I would have expected. Some of the analysis features are a bit lacking, as well, like the ability to choose a particular audience segmentation in the native analysis feature.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of time-consuming recruitment, notetaking on videos, creating clips to show stakeholders, and overall capturing user feedback. It has helped me pioneer optimization at my organization and build a culture of research and innovation that previously didn't exist. It's a pivotal tool in my toolbox of UX Research.

  ### 16. This platform is very easy to use. It also has many different types of tests and questions.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khanh T. | UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Very easy to use and has lots of types of test and questions.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I wish they can enable me to conduct the focus group.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can set up the moderated and unmoderated tests with users on this platform. For the unmoderated test, the format is very smart and can lots of my time.

  ### 17. Love this platform, can't say enough good things

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Betsi F. | Senior UX Strategist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Having direct access to potential and in many cases real life customers is essential to our ability to create effective digital experiences. It's really amazing how quickly you can launch tests and get feedback. I really can't say enough good things about the platform.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are a few features that would be nice to have, like branching. But they continue to evolve and build out the platform so I feel confident in time these will come.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many questions that emerge in our design process that we can't know the answer to, so we construct tests to let the users guide us. From nagivation to color choices, to organizational mental models. It's always best to check with the users rather than act as though we have all the answers.

  ### 18. Poorly designed product, slow outdated interface, few to no recent updates

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant L. | CEO

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The best thing is being able to quickly recruit people to test with minimal friction

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It's a shockingly poorly designed product. The interface is rickety and everything loads slowly. The visual design and hierarchy is poor. Idk, compared to eg. Lyssna it's way way behind

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us test prototypes and design concepts

  ### 19. UserTesting is an incredible platform for understanding customers and consumers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I enjoy how quickly you can gather feedback from the specific audience you need, very often within a few hours.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It can be hard to find enough specific niche consumers to feel comfortable with the insights you have gathered.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting addresses my challenge of gathering feedback ina timely manner without having to rely on other lengthy research methods. Because I can access real users who can share their candid insights, it streamlines our focus and identifies issues before they become larger problems.

  ### 20. A Valuable Tool for User Research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Easy to set up usability tests, interviews, and surveys
Access to a diverse pool of participants
Video recordings, transcriptions, and analytics for deep insights
Quick turnaround time for feedback

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Pricing can be high for smaller teams
Participant quality may vary at times

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding and recruiting participants for usability testing can be time-consuming. UserTesting provides a ready pool of diverse users, making recruitment fast and efficient.I can quickly get insights without spending weeks on recruitment and logistics.

  ### 21. FAST, Quality Insights!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User Testing has been a great agile research tool used by our organization for several years. It is very easy to use, and data is received faster than any other platform I've come across. We utilize User Testing weekly in our organization, and are excited to also now have access to the quantitative survey tool in addition to the qualitative capability. One great thing about User Testing is that since it is so easy to use, we've been able to extend access to other functions in the business that are not specifically research-focused. Those individuals now have access to real-time consumer insights, which have proven to be invaluable in day-to-day decision-making. Also, User Testing customer support is top-notch--they are accessible, responsive, and great to work with!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are only a few downsides to User Testing - one being that the consumer network is not yet fully developed in certain countries/regions. It also lacks in-platform translation services.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User Testing helps us gauge consumer interest in new products, identify problems to solve, and determine which product claims resonate and don't resonate with consumers. We also utilize User Testing to inform packaging/design, evaluate assets, and better understand consumer habits and desires.

  ### 22. UT is very quick to set up and administer, but lacks more granular screening options.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivana M. | Senior UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really love how intuitive and user-friendly the product is. We introduced UT to our stakeholders to make UX research more accessible across the org, and everyone was able to use it without any issues. Another aspect I love about UT as a researcher is that it saves me a tremendous amount of time finding research participants. I simply design the study, launch it, and receive the results in just a couple of days - it's awesome!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I would love the ability to set a participant cap for specific groups, or the option.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

– It enables me to compare design solutions and determine which one resonates best with users, allowing me to make informed decisions before launching to a wider audience and minimizing potential risks.
– UT provides valuable video feedback from users, which helps me build empathy and gain buy-in from product leadership.
– I can collect feedback from competitors' users, saving me time and effort that would be spent recruiting and conducting research outside of the UT contributor panel.

Overall, UT streamlines my research process, providing actionable insights that drive better design decisions and product success.

  ### 23. Highly recommend!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting helps my team move exceptionally fast when capturing feedback directly from real people, which helps our company make better decisions and save time and money. Additionally, every single employee - from the education team to customer success to executives - is incredibly smart, kind, and eager to help.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The product is a bit outdated in its interface and capabilities but they are consistently implementing new features and actively working to release a product overhaul with new capabilities!

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly finding relevant participants for research and learning projects, helping us reach niche audiences (at times), and helping us build empathy with our customers. We undoubtedly save time on our projects (some now taking a day or less), money as we are opting to not build products/features or can build them better, and resources as team members can support more projects.

  ### 24. Great for creating highlight reels, but lacks some crucial advanced functionality.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The ease of creating clips and highlight reels. That's a game-changer for qualitative analysis and reporting.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It's lacking some functionality that a professional researcher/ research team needs. For example, the ability to blacklist certain urls to prevent the recording of PII (vs relying on an imperfect blur filter set at the task level).

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

capturing qual insights

  ### 25. Very helpful research tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chase C. | Lead UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

That we're able to quickly get high quality user feedback on a range of research needs.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Sometimes I wish it were easier to export and share sessions and clips and transcripts.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us validate concepts and test features, but also conduct generative and problem discovery research.

  ### 26. UserTesting - Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Simple and quick to publish at test for a prototype and get responses back

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Proper screening, even when set up correctly still isnt stringent enough to get the correct users testing

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly pushing out prototypes to users and getting feedback from them

  ### 27. I love the power within the tool but at times I find it difficult to use (UserZoom)

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shara R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like the speed to productivity I can achieve once I learned how to maneuver the nuances of UserZoom. I love the QX scoring, and the advanced testing features.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The learning curve. Creating an a/b variant test is more difficult than it should be. Also, the Leaning tools aren't always helpful in explicitly explaining how to do certain things or limitations that are helpful to know.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting customer insights quickly and efficiently to make informed product decisions

  ### 28. Excellent tool for User Research, Testing, Reporting and Re-testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The speed at which I can create an experience, select the audience, publish the experience, test and gather results (usually) by the end of the day. The experience is very well structured, easy to learn and deep in reporting analysis.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Dislike is a strong word. I dislike nothing about the tool, but I look forward to when "new" features are better integrated (SUS, as an example).

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What are our users most focused on, do they understand what we do, can they find what they need, are we providing vlaue?
Answering those question, and more, help us build etter experienecs for our Users, Customers, Partner, Internal Team Members and Legacy users.

  ### 29. Fantastic resource for quick user feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick V. | Head of UX and Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Usertesting has provided so many insights on digital products that I have worked on for over ten years, it's very quick and easy to setup a test and their offering has improved with the use of user friendly metrics and AI tools. The test videos come back really fast allowing us to react in real time to evoling design problems.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It takes a while to get to grips with the highlight reel tools - I feel this could be easier to create and manage.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing of new concepts and products, usertesting provides fast insights into where people are struggling with UX. We also use it for competitor analysis.

  ### 30. Recruiting in Minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting eliminates the need to recruit your own participants by using their panel. This means that we can get test results in hours instead of weeks. It's a game changer!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It is difficult to delete tests once they've been launched.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My favorite part of UserTesting is how easy it is to recruit. That is this biggest thing that keeps us with UT.

  ### 31. Essential tool for my day-to-day work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Malcolm M. | Senior UX Copywriter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The functionality is top-tier. It's such an intuitive and easy-to-use tool where I can log on run tests and get feedback in super quick time. Ideal for my work.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Honestly, I have nothing to fault. UserTesting fulfills all my work needs efficiently.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I focus on UX content design and USer Testing helps me get my ideas in front of real-life users which is essential to my decision making,

  ### 32. Recruit as many participants as you need in MINUTES using a detailed screener

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

When launching a test with stringent recruitment criteria, my biggest fear is the amount of time it will take to get participants who qualify. *Knock on wood* Usertesting has not failed me in this department yet and usually provides participants within a day, even sometimes in 30 minutes!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

UserTesting still has to work on its AI features as it is not fully accurate. Especially when it comes to analyzing participants' sentiments, I don't find their negative/positive analyses to be particularly helpful. I usually ignore it. If anything, it creates more visual noise in the transcription of the user sessions.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given that UserTesting pre-screens and has a robust repository of participants, I save a lot of time because I don't have to draft consent forms and get participants to sign documents before getting into the main testing.

  ### 33. Would recommend UserTesting to any UX team!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna B. | Freelance UX/Brand Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The amount of features and different ways to utilize it within our UX team. It's easy to set up different methods and the results are fast.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Utilizing two sets of tests (like A/B) to test designs and excluding group 1 participants so they can't see the other version or can participate in both groups. It could mess with the data results.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management and fast result delivery. Setting up testing or interviews ourselves outside of the platform takes way more time and effort.

  ### 34. UserTesting is very user friendly and has various testing cabaplities.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The quick results and how easy it is to update tests.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Have to be careful of session units getting used up.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tells me what the consumer is thinking and saying, helps me instantly figure out answers to messaging and image questions or concerns.

  ### 35. Fantastic tool for getting feedback fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Find users to test with quickly. The ability to run unmoderated tests means you can run tests at scale and gather and analyse insights really quickly.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some of the users that come through do not match the target user profile.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing usability of prototypes or new features. Assessing fit of propositions. Assessing clarity of copy. All these help us ship prodcuts that are clear and easy to use, and we can make those improvements in designs before we actually build them in code.

  ### 36. Great service for getting quick feedback or something more in-depth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

– Great customer support should you have a question or issue
– Easy to recruit and build studies
– Useful metric features to view ratings, time on tasks, paths, multiple choice prompts, and sentiment analysis
– Incredibly quick turnaround time on launching studies and getting results back

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

– Technical issues periodically
– Participants in unmoderated studies not being very good user testers (but UT has great functionality built-in to alleviate these situations to replace a tester at no cost or fix the issue)

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of recruitment, streamlining research operations through screener templates and study templates, hosting videos or results to easily share with stakeholders

  ### 37. UX Researcher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Easy to use and run studies smoothly. Unmoderated studies are a breeze with UT.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Cannot merge multiple related study findings. Tagging management is really overdue.
Surveys are not great. Their response time is long as well.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting detailed authentic feedback when most needed

  ### 38. A comprehensive user testing tool that's only getting better.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelbey P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

First, the UI is very user-friendly and easy to learn, which is nice when going from having no user research tool to having one with many bells and whistles. Overall, I think it took a couple of tests to grasp how to use the tool and launch tests for the feedback we needed. The UT Contributor Network works just as quickly as they say - I've never had a test take longer than a few hours to get feedback unless it was one sent in a custom network. They are constantly iterating and asking for input from us which is refreshing. Anytime there is a question or need, their team quickly gets back to us. Being able to set up CX and PM partners in the tool through Knowledgebase courses has dramatically matured our practice, so now we can review their tests with them before approving for launch. UserTesting is a robust tool that I genuinely enjoy using and democratizing within my company!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

With the strengths come opportunities: Screeners are currently only set up to be multi-select or single-select when many times "if, then" logic would be best. It's great that they have a balanced comparison feature to ensure an even number of people who see A-tasks first vs. B-tasks. However, we have found that it would also be nice to have more versions (A, B, C, D) for simple concept testing because we have to create another version of the test to ensure we're getting balanced feedback. Lastly, it would be nice to have the ability to add or edit audiences after a test has launched to reduce the need for versions. Even seeing that the audience was changed in the test would be nice. These are all small personal nitpick things that I've noticed because I'm in the tool every day. Still, I cannot understate the difference having UserTesting has had on our UXR maturity and business overall!

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When our business partners or other stakeholders come to the UX team with new enhancement ideas, we can quickly set up a test evaluating competitor sites with different iterations of their idea and provide timely feedback on what direction resonated most with users and why. This quick process also helps us test if a feature is worth pursuing at all based on the user feedback we get during these evaluative tests. We provide data from concept inception, not just post-concept launch, saving the business a lot of money.

  ### 39. Useful for unmoderated user testing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Great for quickly performing light unmoderated user testing.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Respondents were a mixture of professional testers and genuinely useful participants.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick unmoderated usability testing.

  ### 40. UserTesting is the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The speed in which I, as a designer, can receive feedback is amazing. It enables myself and my team to iterate on the work so quick and results in being able to deliver a great product to our user base.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are no downsides to UserTesting. I've advocated for it's use in the past three companies I've worked at.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps us understand our customers and recieve valuable feedback. We are able to utilize UserTesting in both product and marketing initiatives. It helps us to build experiences that our customers love. This tool validates our work quickly, helps us to pin point any UX flaws, and allows us to gather invaluable feedback which positively impacts our roadmap. My team and I wouldn't be able to do our jobs nearly as well without UserTesting.

  ### 41. User Testing is a great way to gain quick and actionable insights.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

the amount of resources available to us is amazing. I reference the inclusive screener and test plan articles from the site a lot and they have helped my team and I bring inclusion further upstream in the research process. The test plan resources and premade templates have also streamlined our ability to quickly publish tests that get to the root of what it is we are trying to learn or validate with the design. The sales and support staff are amazing! They are also always available to chat and answer questions. The power sessions have been amazing as well.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

This may have more to do with my company's niche industry rather than the user testing platform itself, but when we build custom audiences, sometimes it takes a lot longer for testers to pick up a test which affects how quickly we can act on the insights.

I also don't think the sentiment metrics are very reliable. A lot of my metrics indicate a "negative" sentiment but when I watch sessions, I would disagree that a reaction was negative.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeding up time from posting a test to synthesizing insights and access to the number of testers available.

  ### 42. Usertesting is a great tool and easy for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The simplicity of the test setup is very easy to follow. I am a beginner user of this tool and it really only took me one test set up to figure out the lay of the land. I love the drag and drop method of adding questions/filters and there really isn't anything missing from those options, everything is super helpful. I also enjoy the transcript functions and being able to jump to different sections of the recorded video. It saves me a ton of time.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I will say the accuracy isn't always there. Like when it comes to the Metrics word clustering section, seems kinda random info and doesn't really help me. If I didn't watch the video, those word clusters wouldn't really help me. I wouldn't trust those word clouds/donuts without watching the video anyways because of that.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a UX designer that also has some researching credientals. So, usertesting helps me validate my design decisions and see whether or not they are user-friendly/intuitive.

  ### 43. UserTesting has enabled me to do more as a team of 1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The ability to quickly get insights with low overhead. I've shifted primarily to unmoderated tests because the value is much higher than moderated.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are some design issues with the platform. I feel limited in how I can design studies on the platform.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing participants quickly and easily. The framework for building unmoderated studies which has expanded my impact and bandwidth.

  ### 44. Simple to use, very intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Clip selection is straghtforward and efficient

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Hoping to expand the pool of participants to be more inclusive (I know they are working on this)

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The easy selection of participants allows me to test prototypes and to get rich feedback

  ### 45. Our Teams are Now Thinking Differently About Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen P. | Product Marketing Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2020

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We needed a quick solution to capture customer feedback as we redesigned our website before the pandemic hit—and we were so grateful to have UserTesting moving forward. Not only were we able to gather input affordably in a few hours—helping us stay relevant each step of the way—but we also noticed that using the tool inspired a shift in mindset across teams. Stakeholders now inquired about the experience rather than simply rolling out a solution. UserTesting provides a tool to create and share highlight reels with our teams, and often watch these highlight reels together to learn more about the "why" behind the behavior. UserTesting offers a supportive CommUnity of users to ask questions or to participate in training opportunities.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There is little that we dislike about UserTesting. Highlight reels are gated behind the portal, so we often upload the videos to Google Drive and share highlight reels through Slack to make sure that access can be easily achieved throughout the company.

**Recommendations to others considering UserTesting:**

There is a CommUnity of active users for UserTesting that are available to provide best practices, and this community also offers training and networking. Joining this community is an absolute must for users and admin!

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use UserTesting to test our marketing materials—both print and digital—to improve how we present our offerings to different segments. The feedback we received directly impacted how we structured the messaging in our catalog, our website, and our conference materials. The speed at which we have received feedback has provided opportunities that we haven't had before, such as initiating an iterative process when building landing pages.
