**What do you like best about Xref?**

The integration to our applicant tracking system. I move someone to the XREF stage, and the forms are automatically sent out. It is a low lift.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The rating of a review based on the number of words. Hiring managers get confused sometimes, and equate that rating as a rating of the review itself. Example: if the referrer doesn't type many words in their review, the review is given a bad rating. The hiring manager glances at that and assumes the review is bad. I don't think a review needs to be rated based on how many words the referrer inputted.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems! Benefits are how easy it is to use for all parties and  low lift. The automatic send out, easy to fill out for candidates and referrers, and easy to review and download when done. Definitely worth it.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

We upgraded to the Enterprise platform, this has been an excellent move. We have recieved excellent customer support asnd account management. The team use th eplatform multiple times per week and it has a number of great features and very easy to navigate and use.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

None so far, all of ther team uses the platform with ease and building new templates is a breeze.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use, we have a high volume of recruitment and the platform allows us to send multiple references daily. Building new templates and adding questions is easy, also the range of questions in the library is brillant.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

Over my time in TA and Recruitment, I have used a number of reference platforms. XRef has been a strong platform for references. It is easy to set up and use, and it integrates well into our ATS. Our customer relationship manager is excellent, has strong engagement, and is responsive.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

There are no downsides I can think of as negative.

Ability for us to do more references on candidates, to get a stronger understanding of the candidates we are engaging with.

Great team who are helpful, supportive and responsive. Excellent survey administration and reporting portal.

Nothing. Whenever I have had an issue or concern they have been responsive in resolving it and proactive in adding enhancements to their roadmap of development/products.

Reporting, tracking and benchmarking of staff sentiment and engagement to ensure we are always improving the experience of our employees and focusing our efforts (time, money and resources) into the priority areas for improvement identified by our employees.

Logical, research-informed approach to getting the best out of and for staff. Customer service during and post-implementation was excellent.

The initial introduction to the process seemed disjointed because I wasn't involved in the initial conversations and wasn't informed about what it was or what it was for.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

Experience in the industry.  Good customer support.  Confidential.  Right product for the size and maturity of our business.  Good technical knowledge and system without the high price of large consultancy firms.  No sales pitches!  Easy to use and implement.  Independent.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Whilst ability to conduct different types of surveys are good once you have engaged the company, there are some hidden costs (mainly set-up and for minor customisations) in using the the additional surveys.  Would be good to have a better executive summary (visual as well as written) included in the cost (this should just be a standard template pulling basic data).

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Independent, confidential provider of information.  Xref also assisted in providing an NPS survey.

Easy to use platform. 
Professional templates to send out.
Takes a huge administrative burden off our team because the system handles the send out, follow up and even flags if things don't look right.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The verification code to log in every time is cumbersome. Would love a quicker, more efficient sign in process as we're in and out of the software regularly.

Time saver from us calling and following up with references
Helps keep better documented evidence of the completed checks then if we were too do on our own.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

I love how easy it is to complete reference checks with Xref. The completed reference checks arrive without having to play phone tag or try to contact the references directly. The features also make it easy to detect any suspicious activity and understand why the reference may have been flagged. Xref makes it easy to send multiple references at the same time with little adminstrative work.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The only downside is some inflexibility on editing the questions in the reference template, but part of that is probably the way my organization is set up.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Conducting efficient and accurate reference checks on potential candidates, allowing us to be confident in our hires or to avoid hiring someone who may be the wrong fit.

The Xref team are always accommodating and helpful in working through ideas of how we can use their services. Using the reference check tools is such a time saver admin wise and provides us with the information we need. The platform is easy and intuitive to use which is a big bonus.

The reference checks are integrated into our Recruitment platform, making it so easy to use. The notifications allow us to easily see where references are up to and we love that the system sends its own reminders to referees, which saves us time and effort.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Nothing that I can think of.

Time is the biggest factor. Previously we were calling referees for their references and often we had to make multiple follow ups when people weren't available to take a call. 
Over a call, we weren't getting the best feedback as calls didn't allow referees to really think about their answers. 
Xref has saved us on time and allowed our references to be more thought-out and detailed.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

Really easy to send out the reference details to our candidates. Our HR have uploaded templated questions so all I need to do is load the candidate details. It's also easy to view the references once completed, and I can also see the status of their completion.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Only doing online references means I can't hear the tone people use when answering the questions, or hesitations over certain questions.

Not spending hours on the phone chasing people to answer reference questions.

Love the easy of Xref for and the results we receive on the references for our potiental staff members. Xref has cut out a lot of the admin work we had previously. Our Customer Service Team are really enjoying the time that has been freed up to work on other tasks.

A few to many reminders that staff have not responded.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

For myself as I work in HR, the post survey debrief was invaluable. The customer support was diligent and friendly, the team where always checking in to see how we were doing.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

I am unable to think of a dislike at the moment. The data studio can be confronting when you first log on but after the debrief where you are shown how to interpret the data that is no longer an issue.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly cultural problems. Giving us a better insight into how emplpoyees feel about how we are preforming as a business. The anonimity allows for greater accuracy

I felt well supported through the process as a new employee of council and not having used the tool before.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

In comparison to other tools that I have reviewed,  the questionnaire is lengthy.

Identifying the key concerns of employees that are limiting employee engagement and our culture.

The team at Xref Engage were incredibly supportive during the implementation of our survey. The team were across all the required elements required by the state government, making understanding the survey and its structure simple. The team were also incredibly supportive and understanding through a number of RMIT review processes, going above and beyond to provide the required information needed for approval to be granted.

Online reference checking is great, as more information is provided then completing a phone call reference check. The exit survey is also great as former staff can write what they think needs changing in the business.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Not being able to export exit surveys, however, I understand that this is in the works.

Online reference checks are quickly receieved, so the other preemployment checks can be done quicker too.

XREF is a efficent way to complete reference checks, in my role, I'm typically needing to complete reference checks for anywhere from 10-25 candidate's a week. Without XREF my company would need another ole allocated to completeing reference checks. XREF sends reminders and follow ups to candidates and can moniter and report if a reference is suspicious. Whenever I've had any issues the XREF staff have responded within an hour.

I came into the process with full confidence given Xref came highly recommended by other like-like for clients. They are all spoke with one uniform voice about survey quality and methodology. As we engaged with the team, it was clear there was deep knowledge and expertise which enabled us to create an atmosphere of confidence amongst staff.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Some of the upsold items within the pricing structure would perhaps better sit within the standard options. In terms of question customisation, for example, how far we customised was debatable but it was a premium item paid for. That isn't a criticism, but merely an observation.

We cannot hope to build an effective strategic plan for the next 5-10 years without adequately understanding the current views of our staff. It is both a vital aspect of day-day engagement but their voice is valued and vital.

I like how easy it is to use--just need to enter candidate details and hit 'Submit.' I also like that the system automatically send notifications to the candidates and to me if they haven't initiated the check.

I wish it had a reporting function where I can sort the references by their answers. For example, one of the questions asked is if the reference is open to exploring new career opportunities. I'd like to be able to gather all the references the said 'Yes' to that question as they're a candidate pool we can use in recruitment.

Xref is a timesaver. I don't have to contact the references one-by-one nor send them reminder emails. Xref does it all for me. I only need to review the results.

Super easy to use with or integration with Expr3ss. I frequently use Xref each day in my work as a recruiter, usually putting through over 15 candidates through XRef with two referees. Implementation, along with the number of features creates a smooth process. The reports are very easy to use/read for our hiring managers. The customer support is really quick and helpful when needed.

I think it would be nice to give the user the exact reason why a reference is unobtainable so this can be explained to the candidate.

Xref helps reduce the time it takes for us to do reference checks and ensures it is completed correctly and by the correct person with no suspicious activity.

With regard to your comment on the exact reasons for references being unobtainable, it may be helpful to know 'unobtainable' means that all reminder emails have been sent to the referee but they have not completed a reference. Reminder emails are sent at 24, 36 and 48 hours to both the referee and the candidate. In such a situation, the candidate can either follow up with their referee or submit details of an alternative referee.

Xref has absolutely freed up my time to focus on other high value recruiting tasks. Customer support has also been very responsive and helpful.

Provides feedback from referees on an online platform which has customisable questionairres. It saves me a lot of time and effort from having to conduct telephone references myself.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

I like how easy it integrates into our ATS, Greenhouse. It's super easy to send out the form, done in just 1 click. No more having to chase down references manually one by one and scheduling calls between managers to review.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Sometimes the link doesn't work in Greenhouse and you have to log into XRef and send them manually.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Completing multiple reference checks for high-volume reqs.

The interface for creating a customised questionairre is ridiculous and I never use it

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us quick turnaround on requests for references, it seems like this is achieved in part by nagging/spamming the referees until they are hounded into completing the task, but this is to our advantage so I am okay with it

It is all online and the referees as well as the candidate are sent reminder email if they haven't submitted yet.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Not enough control for the administrators e.g., Deleting references when the candidate has submitted the incorrect contact details of their referees instead of the candidate doing it themselves (it wastes time).

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficency and removing constant back and forth communication.

That it has a feature where it can detect suspicious activity. The ease of sending out requests.

Nothing really. Maybe more space to add more personalized or non-specific comments?

One of them is the legitimacy of the references when there is suspicious activity detected. Another one is efficiency, saving time on us doing verbal or manual reference checks. It definitely saves time.
