# Which Canva templates and tools need Pro, and is the free plan enough for everyday design work?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I'm putting together a comparison of what <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/canva/reviews">Canva</a> Pro adds for everyday design work, since the free plan already covers a lot: the drag-and-drop editor, a large template library and collaboration on shared designs are all free. Going by G2 reviews, the Pro features people notice most are the extra templates and design elements, background removal and the more advanced editing tools, including for video, and they tend to come up mid-project when the element that fits is marked Pro. Free users adapt free templates instead, while people producing branded content weekly usually find Pro saves enough time to pay for itself.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">There are really two kinds of <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/content-creation">content creation</a> user here. Someone making the occasional flyer or social post can stay free indefinitely and still get polished results. Background removal alone made Pro worth it for our team. For the occasional flyer, though, the free templates are more than enough.
