  ### 1. Easy Reporting and Clear Payouts, but Slower Payment Holds and Limited Discounts

**What do you like best about Xola?**

The ability to list items/ticket packages for sale and they were always very easy to pull reports for and their payout was easy to follow.  Other online ticket sale websites like to combine multiple purchase days, making it hard to report income.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

While they were great with reporting and dispurse payment for one day of sales together, XOLA holds payments for 7+ days while other sites might only hold sale income for 1-2 days.  Also, the ability to apply package purchase discounts was lacking.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are a great ticketing software for tourism sites, allowing ease of site for the consumer.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

I appreciate how detailed you can get when creating listings. From how the customers interact with the booking experience to the specific settings you can set surrounding more complex settings  (i.e., split payment option, waitlist, listing customizations, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

There are some minor adjustments from a user perspective that I think would improve the app a lot. For example, I would appreciate the ability to look at purchases in their order of when they were purchased as it seems sort of random. I would also appreciate the ability to type the number of guests instead of having to click the increase/decrease button.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can be very specific about the listings you offer and the way that you can customize each. That has been very helpful as we continue to expand our business and offerings.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Anytime I need help they have a live chat support that answers my questions within minutes! I never have to wait long and usually receive immediate assistance. Easy to change listings too!

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

I would like it to automatically notify the assigned guide when a game is booked. That would help a lot with on-call shifts.  Also would like to have a "Call to Book" listing that I don't have to assign a time to for it to be shown at the top of the page.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So easy to have guests book and alter bookings as needed. Plus it is visually nice to look at and not overwhelming or confusing like other software I have seen.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Good experience, great relationship with them and they are responsive to our needs and support. product is good but would like to see some basic feature improvements that make our lives and employees' lives easier vs more workaround. Overall I would highly recommend the product, especially knowing a revamped and improved version is on the horizon. Plus fairharbor is just annoying so out of principle, we will not work with them.
Ease of use, we have been using this for some time now and have a great understanding of how to use the tool and get a lot of value from it. It has some great integrations, great text, email reminders for our guests and xola has invested in a lot of great improvements over the past 2 years that made our business better.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

Lack of POS integration, our business is moving to sell more onsite with our guests, pre gratuity is huge in our space and XOLA lacks features for pre gratuity except to do an ADD on which auto charges taxes and the booking fee on gratuity. reporting is still lacking, and dashboards, for performance, are also lacking.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Xola is more than an online reservation system. It can track payments, create reports so you can see what trips sell better, which affiliate channels (Expedia, and other hotel concierges or that bartender that sends you all that business!) are better, helps reconcile month end billing, sends out reminders and after the event thank yous, prints out the daily manifests at the press of button, constantly improving the product...all that but the cherry on the top is their customer service. Always ready to help and always accessible.  

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

When I get calls from their competitors and they try to explain to me why I should settle for less service and pay more by asking me to switch to something else (FareHarbor, PeekPro). Very annoying

Do it now, Using something else instead of Xola :Its the difference between dialup and broadband 

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling guides is easy, Billing and tracking affiliate payments is easy, Time saved over other lame products or (heaven forbid) using old paper system. Everybody that needs access to schedule can see it by logging in. Cloud system beats old central system hands down.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Their customer service is top notch. Whenever we have a concern or need assistance we can always depend on our xola team to respond quickly with a solution. No other company has ever had the customer service we experience with xola.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

When feature is missing request's for dev team can take some time. To be implemented. However a lot of the features we do or have requested have become useable features.

**Recommendations to others considering Xola:**

When choosing a booking software it can be a challenge selecting the right one. We had 2 others prior to Xola in the beginning each of which lasted about a month. We have been with Xola ever since. Their customer service for small business is enough to set them apart from the competition, and their software is an added perk.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are an escape room, and we depend on our booking software to ensure an organized easy to use software for tracking all of our bookings. We are able to deep dive all the data collected, easily take payments, easily offer discounts, and a simplified way to have our customers sign their waivers. The reporting and data that we can gather makes our accounting and crm extremely valuable

We offer kids camps. These camps are a week long. There is nowhere to identify the camp is a week long. When people go to book, they think it's a one-day program.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few years ago, they updated the equipment feature. We have over 100 kayaks and paddle boards. We run multiple programs each day. Using the equipment management system, we have never overbooked. It's automatic, and that's the best part.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

XOLA is easy to learn and use. Also, Xola has a dedicated staff 24-hours a day that is always available and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

Although we dont pay for it, the customers do, and we have been asked by customers why they have to pay for our registration (operating) costs. Perhaps a cheaper cost to customers would alleviate this opinion.

So many- just basic registration, organization, client info, client contact and LOVE the quick way to message all clients on a trip at once within XOLA.

The on demand, 24/7 live customer service chat is INCREDIBLE. Every problem is solved very quickly. In addition, we have a very complex business to book for - Xola was the only one who utilized equipment the way we needed to book.

The apps are terribly glitchy. There's no admin override for booking. No ability to create receipts after the fact.

With our unique situation. Xola handles our bookings with ease. After two years we are very happy with them.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Cannot recommend it enough. Out of the many software services we use as a business, Xola is the one we are most impressed by, is useful for us to collect and manage all bookings from a single platform with really low commision rates. So far we enjoy it a lot. It is great to manage all our events at one place and accept bookings from all online distribution channels that we are present

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

Smartwaiver is an outdated unreliable software that we are forced to use. Anyone who took a little time would out them out of business. App on Android can be a bit buggy and frustrating - not a deal breaker. Sometimes you may have to click buttons a bunch before it responds or have to shut it down and reload it

**What do you like best about Xola?**

The level of attention to detail was impressive. I am a low tech, and the communication on technical matters was perfect. The coordination and communication were seamless.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

I did not dislike anything. However, I would have liked a bit more on how to get reviews. How does that work? I would have liked the Xola platform to send an email to the guests within 24 hours following the event/experience prompting them to leave a review/pictures. I do not think such an essential component of what fuels bookings (the reviews) should be left to me ( I do not have the technical skills to do it). I did get instructions from the support centre; however, I am unsure if I implemented the instructions correctly.

I was looking for a website /booking platform, and Xola delivered. It is so professionally done, intuitive, eye-appealing, and alive. The Xola  team helped me showcase Toronto Waterfront Ecotours’ offering in a way that makes me proud

**What do you like best about Xola?**

It has a lot of the options we need for our water park.  It's easy to set up and when there is a challenge or question, support is right there every step of the way and they always find a great solution.  Besides the ease on the back end, for the customer it's super easy for them to book packages and xola makes it easy for us to offer them upgrades and up-sells.  It's absolutely worth the investment.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

There are always upgrades or features I wish were there, but we do add them to the list and a few have them have already surfaced.  Once again...amazing customer service & support.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It basically came down to having an easy solution for guests to reserve services from our company.  And more importantly, a solution that easy for our staff to add offers, products & listings.  It's allowed us to offer more and increase revenue as a result.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Xola's customer support team is great. We have a complex business with a lot opportunities  for error, but Xola's support team is always available to help troubleshoot. Plus, they're easy and enjoyable to talk to and don't get mad at me (or at least don't show their frustration) when I ask questions that I could find my own answers to if I just looked at Xola University :)

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

First and foremost, I will say that Xola is certainly the best (for us) of all of the booking programs we've tried, and they have made big developments since we first started working with them circa 2017. However, there are still a lot of areas I feel miss really basic functionality (though I assume the backend reality is far more complicated). For instance, things like add-ons and schedules aren't available to duplicate across activity listings. Also the UX feels really antiquated and busy- you sometimes have to really dig to find where something "lives". (Can you see why I am such a fan of their customer support team? I work with them A LOT!)  I could go on and on about the little things that frustrate me, but even with all of that, it has worked well enough and is still the best we've used.

As our booking platform, Xola solves our "how do we book people and collect payment?" problem. On top of that, it helps us issue and collect waivers, communicate in bulk with customers, collect customer info, and manage/track our inventory and availability.

We are an escape room and have been using Xola for almost 2 years. They are phenomenal to work with. The chat service when you have issues or questions is top notch and always available. We saw a huge increase in traffic and revenue upon switching. The fact that they automatically reach out to customers that have a room booking in a cart and haven't pulled the trigger yet has been amazing. Couldn't be happier and can't wait to see what the future holds for our partnership.

Honestly there isn't much that we haven't enjoyed.

The best thing about Xola is that it allows me to integrate all my bookings - whether I've used their built in credit card processing or taken payment via another method - into one unified calendar.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

I wish there were a few more ways that listings could be customized, as the options don't always match exactly what I want and I have to come up with work-arounds.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xola allows me to take bookings online via my web site, but also create bookings on the back end, and integrate both into one unified calendar that lets me see our schedule in its entirety. The credit card processing rates are also very reasonable and the system is easy to use.

Xola has always been responsive, helped address our main needs and pain points, and continued to add most of the features we need to successfully run our business. It has a better price point than FareHarbor or Peek.

There are some features and necessary components that are vital to us being able to efficiently and productively accomplish our goals. These are still missing after repeated promises that they would be added.

It's great for new tour operators and small businesses that offer activities. Great price range.

Xola makes it easy to make all kinds of adjustments to our trips. We are always adding trips, and changing trips, and Xola makes that easy. The color schemes on each trip make it quite obvious which days are busy and which days are open.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

The filling out of waivers process could be smoother. It would be great if there was a manual override for minimum booking without having to change the listing.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xola has streamlined our online booking process which makes our lives a lot easier. During some of busiest times of the season, a huge chunk of our sales come via online bookings. Xola allows us to communicate easily with customers via email to update them with confirmation email, payment info, etc.

Xola allows me to do direct sales from my website, and manage a reservations calendar for my tour business. I can send professional looking pay links for private tours which gives customers confidence in booking with a credible tour company. They add and keep track of my digital liability waiver too.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

I love utilizing XOLA for our tourism booking software. We are able to customize our offerings and launch live on our website for guests to book. We can manage all reservations directly from the platform and message guests.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

The calendar features are a little clunking and require extra toggling which would be easy to update.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to easily capture our tours performance and manage reservations. From collecting payments, to confirming bookings, we can do it all in  one place.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

We use Xola for our Virtual Reality Arcade business -- not a tour business -- and we've found that it works very well for offering a variety of experiences, easy payment options for customers, the option to ask for gratuity for our team in an automatic email after visits, etc. Very fast, helpful customer support as well.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

The set-up of each experience takes a bit of time at first because the software is very customizable. But when it is done once, it's easy to replicate listings and customize.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering multiple different experiences using the same equipment. Our previous software only allowed one type of experience per equipment, so Xola has solved that for us.

The live support is the best feature!  I have always gotten to chat with someone within 1 minute of contacting them and they have always been super helpful and friendly!

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

The booking fee, but it is what it is! And that coupons apply to an entire booking rather than just 1 ticket. I may only have one person that qualifies for the discount but it gets applied to the entire group.  Would also like to see it improve so that I can auto assign game masters when a game books (i.e. "Jane" gets auto notified if a game books that is is predetermined to host)

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is so easy to switch groups to different experiences/change arrival times, search customers, create coupons, and reserve games.  Overall really enjoy the software.  The only other one that I am familiar with for escape rooms is bookeo. That program is absolutely terrible, but I don't think I would be able to downgrade to anything else after using Xola.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Xola is a dynamic platform that is always adapting and adding new features. It works to create integrations and add different tools that can be beneficial to its users. They communicate these new features, and allow beta testing that lets you access features early to give feedback.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

No system is perfect, and unfortunately there are elements of Xola that require work-arounds or adjustments to make work. An example of this is its options for booking. You can have fixed times or no fixed times. There is no option that allows a customer to request a time - you'd either have to schedule all of the times that are possible using fixed times OR don't include fixed times and use either forms or post-purchase communication to determine a specific time. It would be nice to have more flexibility in some areas of the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Xola:**

Xola is a strong option as a ticketing system. It isn't inexpensive, but the support provided and new features being rolled out help to justify the cost.

We have been able to move a lot of our ticket sales to be online, reducing line-ups in person or delays on the phone. Xola continues to add features for self-service that reduce the need for customers to contact us with easy-to-resolve problems, like moving their tickets to another day. This frees up our admin staff for more complex problems or customer inquiries.

Everyone's needs for booking platforms are different and we tried quite a few before landing on Xola. It has all the features we need like:
- Location per event,
- Lead-out time per event so we can clean the equipment 
- equipment assigning per event
- great chat support, around the clock

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

- customers can't pay with "ideal" payment
- blackout dates can be difficult to manage

We're using Xola for all of our bookings every day. It's very efficient and saves us a lot of time. 
Naturally it integrates with our skipper's agenda's so they can see what their tours are assigned to them

Simple and modern user intreface. Simplifies the sales funnel and allows for a shortened learning curve for new employees. Great custom reporting, third party integrations, and tracability.

Current user interface limits customization of gift certificates and other guest touch points. We would like to see the ability to better customize to our brand without losing the simplicity of the current design.

Yeap, used to be good, but they did not evolve with the times. Also, I believe their pricing policy is not competitive or worth it, we are in the process of switching to a different platform.

Xola is a stable platform for automatically booking multiple events, looking at registrations, accepting payments, and making changes to bookings. It has the ability to filter by event, date, and customer which is very useful.

Xola lacks a few intuitive features like resending receipts and adding another event reminder at a custom amount of time before the event.

**What do you like best about Xola?**

Xola is hands down one of the most user-friendly platforms for a vendor/business to build out your packages, tours, experiences. I built out my five different tour experiences on their platform with very little need for support. While Xola is significantly more easy to use than some of their competitors, they also are much more robust in their integrated features for the same price. I have used two other similar booking platforms for my business- 1. Peek Pro and 2. Bookeo.  Neither of these two come close to the category of Ease of Use- XOLA gets a 10.0 no contest. XOLA makes building your experience easy as well as maintaining it. I can say that with Peek, nothing was easy when it came to creating an activity. Their process was very complex and nothing like XOLA. XOLA you make an experience/ activity - your activity's availability was integrated into its development, I will say, is a BRILLIANT part from XOLA. On Peek, this was a completely separate process, and my GOD, it was complicated. Also XOLA makes it a breeze if you need to cancel out a day or period of time to attend to your personal lifes obligations. With Peek, it was not easy at all and took multi-steps just to get it accomplished.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

SO Far, I can not complain one bit. The only thing I wish they had was Google 2-Way Calendar Sync Integration. Currently, they only have one-way.

**What problems is Xola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the process of obtaining bookings without the upfront expense of a monthly fee and simply passing that cost down to the customer. It integrates well into my website and looks fantastic on a mobile device. In my opinion, if your booking experience looks complicated or tedious on your mobile device, then chances are your prospective clients will keep searching for other businesses to fulfill their goals/ purpose.

I like the interface, which is clean and easy to understand at a glance.  There are a lot of options on what you can do for your business and changes you can make to edit a booking.

I like that there are. different views, such as the main page is a dashboard for all bookings that day, where you can expand to see a summary of that booking, where you can then expand once again to get the full details of that specific booking and its history.

**What do you dislike about Xola?**

I dislike the lack of tracking when it comes to making some changes for the booking/reservation.  Such as, if you reduce the number of spots available, it will not note who or when the change was made.  It would also be nice to change the verbiage around to match specific businesses more.

If you need to integrate this with your own softwares it is friendly for that.  We keep track of our volume and sales easily with Xola.

We have a much more professional booking interface for our front facing systems that are more intuitive than our previous software.  It is definitely more consistent with our website's polish and easier to train new employees on (we don't have to teach them the tips and tricks of older, more finicky software).

LOVED the clean look and color scheme! The front-end was super intuitive and easy for guests to understand!

Sometimes financial transactions could get a little messy and hard to correct.  It would also be nice to be able to edit individual tours on the back-end instead of having to adjust the entire schedule. I think they have since added color coding but it would be nice to be able to adjust the color of each tour individually!

All booking software is going to have issues unless you have one made specifically customized to your operation.  Xola is visually clean, easy to use, and have incredible Customer Support via chat!

Booking tours. Guests can book themselves from the website and we can manage tours from the back end. Overall, it is easy for staff and guests to use.
