Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Windfall for its accurate wealth data and exceptional customer service, which enhance their fundraising strategies and donor engagement. The platform's seamless integration with existing CRMs and its ability to provide actionable insights are frequently highlighted as key benefits. However, some users note that it primarily focuses on individuals with a net worth of $1 million or more, which may limit broader outreach opportunities.

"Windfall helps me create an action plan with each donor."
What do you like best about Windfall?

What I find most helpful is that the information Windfall provides is truly actionable. Their research gives me real, concrete insight into a donor, which helps me decide how best to engage with them and steward the relationship. Net wealth is useful, but on its own, it doesn’t tell me what a donor’s passions are—such as the other nonprofits, charities, and political activities they support. Since we have a lobbyist and several programs that address different areas, like science education and evidence-based medicine, it’s valuable to know whether a donor is interested in politics, social policy, education, medical research, or secular humanism. "Clear Insights That Support Strategic Giving"
What do you like best about Windfall?

Working with Windfall has been incredibly valuable for our organization. The platform provides actionable insights that help us better understand our donor base and make more strategic decisions. What I appreciate most is the combination of high-quality data and a supportive team. Their onboarding and support have always been excellent.

Windfall has helped us refine our fundraising strategy, identify new opportunities, and approach our work with greater confidence. It’s a tool I now consider essential, and I would highly recommend it to any nonprofit looking to strengthen its understanding of donor capacity and improve long-term relationship building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

Like any data platform, not every record is complete or perfectly accurate, so it works best when combined with internal knowledge and relationship context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforms Donor Engagement with Rich Details and Easy Integration"
What do you like best about Windfall?

I like using Windfall because it is an effective wealth screening tool that integrates well with our CRM. I appreciate the level of detail it provides about high-net-worth individuals, which allows us to personalize our outreach efforts better. I also find it valuable to see properties owned, recent familial happenings, life events, and areas of philanthropic interest, as this helps us paint a richer portrait of our donor database to see them as real people. Additionally, the initial setup of Windfall was easy, and their customer service is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

Windfall could potentially introduce pre-determined suggested giving amounts for each donor based on their areas of interest and net worth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Fundraising Insights with Seamless Salesforce Integration"
What do you like best about Windfall?

Excellent tool that is easy to use, easy to connect to Salesforce, come with infinite lookups, and data is updated every Friday. Whenever I need information for our fundraising team, the information is there and up-to-date. Also, the few times I've used their customer service team, they've been responsive, fast, and extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

It can be hard to manually push a specific donor record to Windfall (though it's possible that the donor just doesn't have a lot of publicly available giving data, so that's possible) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Donor Management with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about Windfall?

I appreciate Windfall's straightforward integration, which made the initial setup simple and seamless for us. It was easy to follow the integration guide with our CRM, enhancing our workflow efficiency quickly. The customer service is exceptionally responsive, providing prompt assistance and resolving issues effectively, which feels more like a collaborative partnership than just a service provider. I found their training sessions on the tool to be thorough and helpful without being overly aggressive during our vetting phase, ensuring that we maximized our understanding and use of Windfall. The segmentation capabilities of Windfall are particularly valuable, allowing us to focus on immediate and strategic efforts such as Giving Tuesday, proving the tool's impact on our donor engagement strategies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

I find the time it takes for segments to compile to be an issue. The current process of data coming back takes a week, which we wish could be faster so that we could respond to donors in a segmented way within 48 hours of their first gift. A daily data feed would be really useful to have eventually to better suit our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Windfall is an excellent tool"
What do you like best about Windfall?

Windfall is a great tool for taking wealth screening into account for nonprofit development work. It integrates well with Neon CRM, and I have been impressed by their support and resources sharing best practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

A decent percentage of people do not match in Windfall, but that is baked into a system designed around accurate and high-quality data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Valuable Existing Donor Insights Allowing for Strategic Appeals"
What do you like best about Windfall?

Windfall gives us wealth insights into donors who have already connected with our organization in some way (current or past donor, volunteer, or event attendee). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

Windfall only reports on donors with a net worth of $1M or more. I think we could do even more targeted outreach if the baseline was a bit less, $500K or $750K, especially for younger donors still building wealth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for Discovering Hidden Donors and Streamlining Outreach"
What do you like best about Windfall?

It is a great tool for finding hidden gem donors and lapsed donors. It helps me filter my pipeline and narrow in on who to focus my energy with outreach. The customer support has also been wonderful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

I am still learning all the tools and wish I had time to learn the software better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
