The actualy scheduling program is strong enough for my needs and stragihtforward.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

The chat funcation is one of the worst things about this program. Messages get deleted before sending, messages don't get sent at all, and no amount of support tickets helps this problem.

It gives an easy and clear place for staff to see their shifts.

There are absolutely no upsides. There are too many features.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

No written step by step instruction manual to refer to, support takes 3 days to respond, impossible to navigate, wastes so much time.  It is worse than useless, because it is so high maintenance.  I really hate this program and process,

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It creates problems in every step of the process.  The employees can't log in.   Schedules change all the time, so either the program send a useless message, or the schedule has to changed to match.  The program is impossible to navigate.  the process wastes so much time, that is needed elsewhere.  There are no benefits to this program at all.  Only issues, problems and frustration.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

The user interface.  The tracking of hours in different ways. Timesheets.  What they are trying to accomplish. Someone reponse to the chat quickly but sometimes there is a delay.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

Not quite as straight forward as it looks.  The webinar was useless.  I have read /watched anything they sent my way but I have nuaces that I need help with.  

I have asked easily 8+ times for someone to  simply call me so I can get over the hump of my frustrations.  The response is always "we want to track our conversations."  I am sure they record calls and could probably learn a TON from simply finding out what is tripping me up.  Instead, they keep typing and not calling.  I do not understand why a company would be afraid to actually talk to a customer especially one that as has asked for help and really could show them were people might get lost.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

When I Work has helped greatly in my organization in the past month we've been using it. It's helped our multiple departments become organized and maintain time off requests in a more centralized location. The app and real-time updates helps limit the need for us to print out paper schedules that become out of date quickly, causing less confusion when employees call out or take time off that wasn't on the schedule.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

I think the biggest issue that we have with When I Work is the fact that we don't have the ability to schedule breaks in a clear way. I think that if we are given the ability to schedule employee breaks and if they're reflected in the schedule, it would help greatly for companies that have the need to schedule breaks.

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I Work is solving the need to print out new schedules and send out emails everytime there is an update to it. My department alone manages 24 employees, so we often need to make revisions.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

Creating and communicating the schedule to staff is very easy, as is making adjustments to shifts, which we have to do quite often. All shifts can quickly be communicated to staff, and the app is very user-friendly for the team.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

The app is not as easy to use on the management end for scheduling as the desktop version, due to the large number of shifts and locations we need covered. So when I need to review the schedule / coverage as a manager, it is best to do it from a desktop computer.

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have many departments using WhenIWork and many team members within each department. It has helped us to streamline the scheduling process, identify gaps, and have more effective communication about the schedule with our teams.

It is very convenient for the on the go human. I cannot count the number of times I just didn't know what shift I was working when I first started. I was also able to see who was working with me and what shifts had been given up.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

I really loved it so I don't really have anything negative to say about it. Except we did have to move on to a new software. But if we are ever asked if we want it back, I'll be the first to say bring it back!

Definitely helping me out when I don't know when I'm working. If my co-worker contacted me because they weren't in Wi-Fi or just unable to to log in. I was able to let them know when they worked too!

Approving Timesheets and adding sick time is very quick and easy.  I also like how you can see on the schedule what employees are scheduled for shifts at more than one location during the week.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

I would like to be able to see on the app, with a quick glance at the scheduler tab, who is currently clocked in/out and at what time they came/left.  I would also like the app to default to the current day on the scheduler tab.

In the mobile app, the "Employee Activity" section of the Dashboard displays a list of people scheduled to work that day; this section can be tapped to view the entire list.

Easy to use. Everything is easily accessible. Everything is at my fingertips.

It's not tied into our Paylocity APP. I have to request time off in a different APP.

I like the ability to be able to copy the previous week's schedule as I have core employee whose schedule does not change.when I work is better than other systems I have used.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

Sometimes the system can be glitchy from time to time. This is something that I dislike as having so many employees I rely on this to work quickly and efficiently so I can get the weeks schedule done.

When I Work is helping me save labor and time with how quickly I can create and post schedules. It allows me to focus my time on the bakery more instead of taking hours to do a schedule.

I love the mobile app experience, and I enjoy the scheduling aspects when it comes to larger groups of staff spread out among different work locations. It's a great platform!

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

The only thing I dislike about the app is that I cannot set alert preferences for staff, and to my knowledge, I can't control if they get a text message reminder for a shift.

Working for a large business with 21 different work sites for my highschool staff, it's an absolute game changer to be able to import staff, get them signed up, and on a schedule with checklists and communication from supervisors within minutes.

I really can't think of any, When I work is really for everyone, accessible, fast, easy to use and cheap! If you don't already use it, don't wait any longer to start using it!

Helps us schedule the team but also allows to let people choose the shifts they want, swapping or dropping shifts if they aren't available so it offers to save a better balance!

When staff Commits to work and pick their shifts, they are more likely to show up.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

The start up is not easy if time is limited I ended up with three accounts before I could finish and now I can't log back into the other accounts I started. Help staff will not delete them but I can't log in and delete them.

Keeping track of schedule. Tracking employee's availability. Shifts get filled without making phone calls.

I don't dislike anything as of yet. Everything has been working smoothly!

When I Work is helping fill shifts when they become available by notifying all employees. It is also helping keep track of request off dates.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

Scheduler has some effective features that allow you to click and populate instead of typing. Once the templates are set up it's easy to save and publish the schedule. The support and help centre are fabulous, the support cast may not have clear solutions to my questions but are quite amiable.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

Although the platform is practical and saves time, not all the features are conducive to my business model, so I have to tailor it with "workarounds," which I shouldn't have to do. Clock-in and clock-out feature has proven to work only 60% of the time. This is an important feature that costs extra, so it should have a 95% accuracy (I think).  If I move an assigned shift without reassigning it to another employee and replacing it, I have to get the original employee to reconfirm the shift.  Notifications should be more "IN YOUR FACE", when new shifts or messages are sent. They should pop up on the home screen or within the app. Most of my team are not seeing the notifications clearly and have to prompt them (via text) to go looking for them on their phone (which defeats the purpose of the notifications). Same thing with OPEN SHIFTS. Unless you access it directly from the notification it is hard to find. When you go into the OPEN SHIFT feature, there should be a list of available open shifts. Instead you have to go scrolling through each week looking for them??

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier to manage my schedule of 50pp. I don't have to do a lot of typing; once most of the templates are created, it's just a matter of clicking and a lot less typing. I really like the open shift feature!!

Our organization mainly uses this platform to record employees' overtime hours. When I use When I Work it is simple and easy to take on a shift. The dashboard is user-friendly, the UI is intuitive, and you get right to work. Also, if you cannot commit to overtime, you can just as quickly drop a shift as you accept one.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

The one thing I don't like is that the application signs users out after a period of inactivity. Having to sign in with two-factor authentication and schedule a shift each time I commit to some overtime is a pain.

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I Work allows administrators to know how many extra "hands-on decks" they have in one day. It's a neat system that works on a first-come, first-serve basis to prevent too many people from signing up for the same shifts. It also integrates well with our company's payroll software to ensure each person is compensated respectively for their time spent.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

Flexibility, it's easy to learn, easy to train people on, mobile and browser friendly options allow all staff to have access and get notifications in multiple places at any given time. You can also clone week to week which makes posting next week's schedule super easy. From a payroll/attendance perspective, it's also been a very easy process to keep the team getting paid for the correct times.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

There is still no ability to track paid lunch breaks. I would love to allow staff to "punch out" for lunch so I can see they are taking an appropriate amount of paid time to have lunch without it decreasing their hours. It would be a really helpful upgrade if they could get it done. Also, we have two workspaces that share employees, but you can't see who is scheduled in the other workspaces even though the employee has the same login. It would be great if you could choose to have visibility of shared employees.

Give it a try, depending on how many employees you have, it is very cost-effective.

We have two businesses, with 5 different locations. WIW allows us to lay out everything in easy schedules to stay organized. It allows us to break out each department into their own schedule, allowing all managers to see who is where and optimize the schedule each week. It also allows the staff to request off and know exactly who needs time off when.

It was helpful to be able to see the schedules of all my colleagues and look up different roles throughout the organization. I have used other apps that do not give me as much insight with role filtering that have made it hard to use.

The mobile app was a bit difficult to navigate and difficult to visualize in a helpful manner when looking at multiple roles. I also had struggles with the mobile app not saving my selection preferences, so when I needed to see certain schedules, I had to redo my filters.

It is very user-friendly, easy to understand and functional. From all aspects of time management, profile set up and HR document processing, it's probably the easiest of the softwares I've been able to use as an employee and manager.

I do wish there was a little bit more data behind the product, like seeing trends, allowing for more time punch options, and seeing which options are selected in real time by other agents.

Really excited to use when i work, Until i had to litreally bed someone to give me a call to give me support on the platform, even when i begged for this to happen it was refused and i just kept getting sent articals. We are now using a different platform and i can receive a phone call when support is needed. 

With my business a customer couldnt have to ask twice for me to give them a call, Giving my customers or people in general support or help is the right thing to do. Disgusted with it to be honest. Can't wait to cancel my payments.

I love how easy it is to clock in or clock my breaks. It allows me to control my schedule and request time off quickly and efficiently. I love how I can look back on all my pay period hours worked. I like how I can see who will be working with me on what days and their schedules. It also allows me to accept my hours with one click of a button. If there are any issues, my boss can fix it immediately!

Everything works as it should, and throughout my usage of the program, I have had no problems.

We use this to make sure time off is approved. It helps when you can request the time off quickly and get a response you can see instantly. It allows us to see who is working and what hours. **What do you like best about When I Work?**

I love being able to see who and when everyone is working efficiently. It makes it very easy to trade shifts, pick up open shifts, and contact coworkers. The app is very user-friendly as well.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

The app is a bit hard to clock in. Even when I am in the building, it still says that I am not close enough (within 100 feet) to clock in. However, I can still go to the timesheets and clock in from there.

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can quickly get my schedule from When I Work, and my manager can easily see my availability. The app makes scheduling a breeze, and I feel confident in when I will be scheduled to work.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

We investigated several different options including When I Work, and what we really liked about them, versus their competitors, is how easy the software is to use. No one really likes using time scheduling software, but When I Work makes it really simple and painless.

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

Honestly, none that we can think of. Pricing is competitive, we haven't had to use support, and overall, it solves an organisational pain point with very little hassle.

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and time-management problems were why we investigated When I Work. The software works well and does what it says on the box - it makes time management, scheduling and reporting super simple.

**What do you like best about When I Work?**

I love how I can add the different job locations and that the location shows up under the employee's names on the Scheduler/calendar. I also love how this is also an app, and that I can easily post Open Shifts

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

I manage a photographer/videographer team, and I don't like the fact that I always have to include a start or tend time. Often times we book dates that are just the date, so right now I have to do "12AM to 12AM" to show that the start and end time is not confirmed yet.   I do not like that the term is "employee", I would rather be able to change a setting to use "independent contractor" so that my team does not see that "employee" language. I also do not like the fact that there's no really good advanced integration with Zapier!!!

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AFter looking at a bunch of different apps and calendars, I went with WIW because it allowed me to create multiple locations and the locations show up right away on the Scheduler. The other ones did not show the job location on the calendar. This is important because we work at many different venues. I also love how it pulls up the Google map!

The employees' ability to swap shifts, drop shifts, and pick up new shifts!

**What do you dislike about When I Work?**

Having to remember to publish the shifts

**Recommendations to others considering When I Work:**

Jump in and give it a try.  It was way more than I expected.  I will not run another staff of student employees without using this product

**What problems is When I Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have literally saved hundreds of hours and gazillions of emails as my employees are 18-22 yo and they are often needing to be more agile in their hours.

The only thing that I really don't care for is the pricing...Would be nice to add more information to the employee section

I like that I can see my own shifts as well as my coworkers so I know who is working what days, who is scheduled with me, etc.

It can be a little confusing to navigate at first, but it's fairly simple once you get the hang of it.
