"Powerful, Flexible, and Great Value – A Must-Have for Data Engineers"
What do you like best about Weld?

I've been using Weld for over 18 months and consistently recommend it to all my clients. As a data engineer, what stands out most is the ability to code transformations directly rather than being limited by a drag-and-drop interface. This makes Weld a serious tool for technical users who prefer flexibility and control over their data workflows.

Weld is incredibly reliable — once it's set up, it just works. I trust it to run consistently and without issue. On top of that, the pricing is excellent, especially compared to some of the bigger players in the space that charge a premium for features I don’t need.

If you're technical and value performance, transparency, and affordability, Weld is a no-brainer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

Honestly, there’s not much I dislike. If I had to nitpick, the UI isn’t as polished as some of the more mainstream tools — but that’s a trade-off I’m happy to make for the flexibility and performance Weld offers. It’s clearly built for technical users, so this won’t be an issue if you're comfortable with code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward Data Management at your Fingertips"
What do you like best about Weld?

Having a catalogue of native connectors and the ability to build custom connectors makes centralised data management simple. A clean modelling interface with the flexibility to meet client expectations and drive reporting assets, Weld has made our life of managing client data in a secure way straightforward. I would highly recommend Weld to those looking for a cost-effective platform to integrate multiple data sources for deriving insights. Finally, the weld.app team are extremely helpful! Our customer service manager and the sales team are always responsive, informed, and always assist us to maximise our use of weld.app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

For how we use weld.app, there is no real downside. It meets all our expectations, is easy to integrate into other tools, including all popular BI tools, and data pipelines can be managed automatically. The only thing we dislike about weld.app is that it doesn't have more native connectors! But even the native connector catalogue is expanding at pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product and nice team!"
What do you like best about Weld?

I like that the platform is very much plug'n'play, it took me literally no time to go from nothing to a data warehouse using WELD. Coming from a technical background, where I am used to working with SQL and Python, it makes the transition seamless. The setup using the pre-build connectors just works, the embedded SQL editor makes it easy to work with tools you already know, and the serving to the warehouse is a breeze.

As for the Python thing, that comes in handy with the custom connector, as I had to built one such connector, but that was also very straight forward.

The team responds quickly to support tickets, more often than not I could have found it in the documentation if I had looked good enough.

So in short, a great platform working seamlessly with known techniques and battle tested tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

I wont say I really dislike anything, they could of course have more connectors, but that will always be the case I guess. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quickest way of going from nothing to a strong BI setup"
What do you like best about Weld?

I really like how easy the platform is to use and how everything is consolidated in one platform. We have used dbt Cloud and Fivetran in the past, but after moving to Weld, it became clear very quickly that our BI operation would be much more smooth in Weld and save a ton of time for the team. Also, we were able to bring down our total costs at the same time. The price is very competitive.

In general, the platform has been very easy to implement, integrate, and use. The customer support has been nothing but amazing. After just a few weeks, the team is using Weld every day and the software has started to add significant value to the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

Would love to see a stronger documentation option in the future as well as model testing. Two features that might have been overkill for our team size, but still enjoyed in dbt Cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes data centralization effortless with smart AI tools"
What do you like best about Weld?

Weld makes it incredibly easy to stitch together data from various sources - databases, Google Sheets, and more. One of the standout features is its support for BigQuery, which means all our data lives in our own warehouse. The AI assistant (Ed) has been really good since the beginning and has been improved even more in the past few months, making it super straightforward to migrate logic from Google Sheets functions without manual effort. Also, their support is great - really knowledgeable and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

We've occasionally had issues with Google Sheets integrations breaking - likely more of a Sheets issue than Weld's, but still a bit frustrating. Also, pricing has increased recently. While it’s still a solid offer for what you get, it does make us think more carefully about usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI supported ETL, great for CTO as well as data engineers"
What do you like best about Weld?

AI tool saves so much time for more complex scenarios. It understands relationships between internal objects as well as external, so natural language is a great starting point for more complex business requirements.

Easy to set up, can be up and running with either weld's in-platform, or connect to your own warehouse such as BigQuery. Customer support is fast and helpful, rarely escalated. Simple to dive in for quick queries as well as for role-specific work for data engineers/specialists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

Costs limited per connector. Can become unwieldy if you want to harness multiple data sources as a startup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes extracting data easy!"
What do you like best about Weld?

- A wide number of connectors that are well maintained and structured cleanly

- Great customer support that are on hand

- Very easy to use and connect data sources

- Orchestration and scheduling is easy to set up Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

- Documentation in places could be a bit more thorough

- Some connectors missing which would be good to have like Recharge (even though there's a community one)

- It's not the easiest to spot if there's issues within data extraction Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing team, amazing software."
What do you like best about Weld?

The team went so far out of their way to accommodate my use case. They by far have the best support I have ever experienced with a company of the likes. They helped me get my entire pipeline set up easily, and even added a feature just to make my life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

I wish multiple destinations were on a lower plan Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Weld Makes Cross-Platform Attribution Analysis Effortless"
What do you like best about Weld?

Weld is an impressive tool that streamlines the complex task of data integration and analysis. What sets it apart is its ability to connect and blend data from multiple sources, including Salesforce and Google Ads, into a single queryable view. It uses AI-assisted natural language processing to convert plain English into SQL queries, which is especially helpful for non-technical users or consultants who want to move quickly from question to insight.

One of the biggest advantages for us is Weld’s native Salesforce support. We can now join Salesforce data, like revenue from opportunities, to external sources like ad spend from Google. This enables return-on-ad-spend (ROAS) analysis that was previously too cumbersome or fragmented to build accurately. This kind of attribution modeling is incredibly difficult with standard tools, and Weld simplifies the process without needing a full data engineering team.

It also plays very nicely with platforms like Google BigQuery, Tableau, and Metabase, making it easy to visualise and interpret results in the tools our stakeholders already use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weld?

There are no major issues with Weld, but it’s worth noting that connection stability sometimes requires a nudge. In our experience, this tends to be more of a problem with the data sources than with Weld itself. Once set up, it generally runs smoothly and reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
