**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

Multiple benefits i am getting while using webex call:
>> i can dial anyone to call
>> The special feature is i can jump to one call to another call easily
>> Even if i am in a call and i got another urgent call i can join another call without dropping current call and i can resume my last call without dropping. For other apps this is an irritating thing which webex have resolved.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

2 things i don't like -
1) We face some glitch and call drops some time.
2) Although we can take control to work on system in group call but we can't do it in personal video call.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It resolved work from home problem to reach out someone. We have many teams we need help of other teams. So, in work from office we can directly go to another person in floor webex offers same type of access virtually and We are using multiple seasons for separate teams. If we need any other team support we are jumping to their season and if anyone need our help then they can jump to us. And somehow if we are unavailable then other person in our call can inform the person who is searching for us.

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

I love the simplicity of the setup for Webex Calling, it was fantastic to get it up super quick and serve as the core of our customer service channel. The feature-rich offerings like Call Recordings, AI Summary, and Transcriptions not only help us get detailed transcripts easily with just two clicks but also protect us well. The ability to direct each caller to the right department and keep calls secure, recorded, and transcribed is valuable. We integrate it with Akixi, and I appreciate how straightforward it was compared to our previous solution, Microsoft Teams Voice, which was clunky and expensive. The simplicity of the admin console, helps us to support our customers with it effectively too.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

The only thing that seems to be missing is when you have multiple devices on the same account, it occasionally doesnt offer the handover functionality.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webex Calling lets customers reach us, directs them to the correct department, and keeps calls secure with recordings and transcriptions. The setup was super quick, becoming the core of our customer service, and features like Call Recordings and AI Summaries provide effective call management. Being in a support environment, it also allows us to use this AI functions to add to tickets.

What I like most about Webex Calling is how consistent and dependable it feels for daily calls. I don’t have to worry about call drops or poor audio, and the overall experience is smooth. **What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

I like that Webex Calling allows a lot of people to join, which is perfect for my large online classes of about 150 people. I also appreciate getting summaries from our discussions, especially if I join late or miss parts of a session. The call recording feature is super useful as it lets me revisit the class if I miss the live call. I also find the live chat beneficial for real-time communication. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, just by following the on-screen instructions.

Sometimes people complain of sound issues, saying it's low. But I don't know if it's the software or hardware problem.

I use Webex Calling to overcome distance barriers in online classes, accommodating many participants, providing summaries, and recording calls for revisiting missed sessions.

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

We have 80 agents across two contact hubs and before Webex Calling our visibility into call performance was a weekly spreadsheet which someone put together by hand. Webex Calling Analyzer changed that. Real time call queue stats, hunt group utilization and average handle time by location etc all in one place. I personally built a custom dashboard specifically for peak trading windows to monitor queue depth and abandon rates live.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

Historical reporting lag in Analyzer is a problem me. Data can take up to 30 minutes to appear in some reports. For a CX operation this moves fast that gap is genuinely frustrating.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before this we only realized we were understaffed after customers had already waited too long. With live queue data i can see the queue starting to build and move someone before it becomes a problem. Average wait times dropped noticeably. There is also call recording with controlled access which i did not think much about at the start. But during escalations where you need to check what was actually said.

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

Managing four offices from one place is something I didn't think would actually work this smooth. We left our old PBX last year and the local gateway setup was simpler than expected. Hunt group config was the best part. Our support team needed sequential ringing during core hours and overflow to shared voicemail after hours and we set it all up without opening a single ticket. The voicemail to email transcription became useful too especially for Amsterdam where half the team is hybrid. They just check inbox, no need to dial in.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

The reporting felt limited for hunt groups. Basic call volume and quality metrics are there but if you want overflow rates by time of day or average ring time per agent you need extra steps or third party tools. For teams that need detailed queue visibility it can feel not enough.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adding a new user across four locations used to mean back and forth with our telephony vendor but now it takes maybe ten minutes. The softphone also quietly solved something we didn't track properly before. Fewer missed calls since rollout. Not dramatic change but it does make difference in how team stays reachable.

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

During our network migration last spring we moved 14 clinic sites to new ISP over three weekends. I was worried about call continuity because healthcare cannot just go dark. Survivability feature kept branch sites working even during short internet drops, staff could still make local calls. That was not possible with our old setup. Nurses and admin are also not switching between different apps anymore, everything is in one place.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

There was one case where ELIN was not updating correctly after a location move and we had to go through TAC to fix it. For healthcare where 911 accuracy is compliance issue this needs better workflow.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of time was going into basic phone maintenance, firmware updates, line changes, number porting with old carrier. That work is mostly gone now. Number management is in Control Hub and carrier side is simpler through Cisco ccp. The thing we did not expect was receptionists stopped raising tickets about dropped calls and bad transfers. We also finally got call recording with proper retention controls which something we were trying to solve for two years.

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

Client was manually logging every outbound sales call into Salesforce. After implementing Webex Calling with Salesforce CTI integration that whole process disappeared. Click to dial from Salesforce record, automatic call logging, screen pop on inbound calls are some of my favourite features. Sales reps picked it up quickly, no long training needed. As consultant the CTI connector documentation was solid and setup was predictable.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

Screen pop stopped firing correctly after a Salesforce sandbox refresh mid project. Turned out OAuth token had to be re authorised on each rep machine manually. There is no bulk re auth option in connector admin.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After the rollout the client Salesforce data was cleaner. With automatic logging the CRM data became reliable fast and that fed directly into pipeline. For me as consultant it also made scoping conversations on future projects easier because i had a concrete outcome to point to.

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

So I was in the middle of a quarterly business review with a Frankfurt client and my old softphone just froze. Call recording with automatic transcription straight into our CRM is one of the most helpfull feature i found in webex calling. Not the fanciest feature maybe but last month i needed to verify a commitment i made to a Munich-based customer about SLAs. Instead of hunting through my notes i just searched the transcript for response time and i found it. It was amazing.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

Weird thing i noticed after about three months ago, the mobile app drains battery like crazy on my iPhone during back to back calls. I tried lowering screen brightness closing other apps but it still happens. Also the call handoff from mobile to desktop isn't seamless.

**What problems is Webex Calling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At first i didn't realize how much context i was losing between calls until we started using Webex Calling's CRM integration properly in our work. With Webex calling the call logs automatically create an activity record inside Salesforce and the transcription sits right there attached to the contact.

Our warehouse team constantly needs to reach dispatch coordinators working from home near Amsterdam. Previously our calls would drop or echo like crazy. What really saved us is Analytics Hub I can pull per user MOS scores and see exactly where latency creeps in. Once 3 warehouse agents reported choppy audio. Instead of guessing I filtered by device type and saw it was all on older desk phones and we swapped them out within a day. This level of visibility makes my job feel less like firefighting and more like actual IT planning. It's weirdly satisfying.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

We moved 40 DIDs from our old provider and the process took almost three weeks, partly on the old carrier but Webex's portal kept showing vague statuses like in progress with no ETA. I had to open three support tickets just to confirm a single submission went through.

Now With Webex Calling's location-based call routing we set up rules so warehouse inbound calls automatically go to the right team based on shift schedules. That means our dispatchers aren't getting routed to the wrong person at 3 PM anymore. Plus call recording compliance for our logistics contracts finally feels automated. That alone saves me about four hours of manual log checking per week.

As the IT Infrastructure Manager at a mid-sized professional services firm with 120 employees spread over three countries, the best part about Webex Calling is that it brings all our communications together seamlessly within the Cisco ecosystem.We moved from an old on-premise Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) setup to Webex Calling, and the switch went surprisingly smoothly because they work well together.The Control Hub has really changed how we handle admin tasks. I can set up a new user with a direct inward dialing (DID) number, put them in the right call queue, and get their desk phone or softphone ready all in less than 90 seconds. Before, this used to take our team 2-3 days, dealing with manual switch configurations and MACD requests.The single-number reach feature has gotten rid of the hassle of saying "call me back on my mobile" for our consultants who are always moving between offices and client sites.I really value the quality of service controls that work at the network level. We set up Webex Calling with our Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and made sure voice traffic gets priority. This way, we experienced almost no jitter or packet loss, even when the network was busiest.The platform’s redundancy setup, which switches automatically to cellular backup on our Cisco 8800 series desk phones, kept our phone system up and running without a hitch during a recent regional ISP outage.This isn’t just any cloud PBX; it’s a carrier-class solution built for enterprise use.

Webex Calling has its strengths, but when you use it on a larger scale, a few operational challenges start to show up.Moving existing toll-free and local DID numbers from different carriers took way longer than we expected. Cisco's porting team did a good job, but coordinating with the old providers and the Webex Calling system meant a lot of manual follow-up. Some of the ports ended up taking more than 30 days to finish.This led to a temporary hybrid state where we had to keep both systems running.The analytics and reporting features in Control Hub work fine for simple troubleshooting, but they don’t offer enough detail for more complex contact center tasks.We had to add a third-party call analytics platform to Webex Calling to get detailed stats like average speed to answer, abandonment rates by queue, and agent occupancy—basic KPIs that really should be built-in.The Webex App softphone client uses a lot more system resources compared to other options like Microsoft Teams Calling or Zoom Phone, which can cause performance issues, especially for users with older laptops.We handled this by setting minimum hardware requirements, though it ended up being an unexpected cost for buying new equipment.The licensing SKUs are still way too complicated. Figuring out the differences between Webex Calling Professional, Standard, and all the add-on packs like call recording or contact center features basically means you need a spreadsheet just to make sense of it.

Webex Calling is tackling three big business issues: first, the high maintenance costs of old on-premise phone systems that are no longer supported; second, the challenges of running operations smoothly when teams are split between home and office; and third, the problem of having mixed-up caller ID and a patchy user experience across different countries.Our organization stands to gain a lot in measurable ways.We cut costs by getting rid of four physical CUCM servers, three old gateways, and two PRI circuits in our London, New York, and Singapore offices.Switching to a purely OPEX model cut our yearly telephony costs by about 42%, even when you include the Webex Calling licensing fees.We also cut more than $25,000 a year by getting rid of maintenance contracts with our old hardware vendor.Our employee onboarding and offboarding processes now move as quickly as software changes.By connecting Control Hub API with our Workday HRIS, we automated the user lifecycle management process.When HR ends an employee’s role in Workday, Webex Calling quickly takes care of things by removing their extension, putting their DID number back into a pool, and cutting off their softphone access all within 15 minutes. I’ve been using the Webex Calling free version for a while now and it has quickly become an essential tool in my workflow. The calling feature itself is the main highlight - most of my clients already use Webex, which makes connecting with them seamless. Instead of making expensive international phone calls, I can talk to clients in different countries directly through Webex and the call quality is consistently clear. It’s very easy to use and the initial setup was quick and straightforward, so I didn’t have to deal with any complicated steps.

What makes calling even more efficient is how the free plan integrates with other features. For instance, the calendar integration with Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 Calendar makes scheduling calls simple and convenient. I can set up a call, coordinate with clients across time zones and it helps me manage all my calls without juggling multiple apps.

Along with calling, I also use messaging, video meetings, whiteboarding, screen sharing and local recording, all of which support my calling workflow. For example, I can quickly share documents during a call, follow up via chat or have a short video discussion if needed. It's nice to look at and the customer service is really great.

I just feel like it's a bit outdated. When clicking items, it feels like a slow response time overall. I've seen more integrations with other similar softwares.

It's allowed me to communicate with those in remote areas, internationally, and has allowed me to meet with medical professionals without violating HIPPA

**What do you like best about Webex Calling?**

The interface is clean and intuitive, so even team members who aren’t very tech-savvy were able to start making and receiving calls right away without a steep learning curve. The implementation process was surprisingly smooth — everything was well-documented, and the setup didn’t disrupt our existing workflows.

Customer support has also been a big plus. Whenever we had a question, the Webex team responded quickly with clear solutions, which gave us confidence in relying on the platform for our daily operations. Speaking of daily operations, we use Webex Calling multiple times a day, every day — and it has been consistently stable, with no major glitches or dropped calls.

I also appreciate the rich set of features. From call forwarding and voicemail transcription to seamless device switching, it covers everything we need for both internal and client communications. Integration with our other tools (like calendars, messaging apps, and CRM systems) was straightforward, which means we can handle most of our communication without jumping between too many apps.

**What do you dislike about Webex Calling?**

While Webex Calling works very well overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. The desktop app can sometimes feel a bit heavy on system resources, especially when running alongside other collaboration tools, which can cause slight slowdowns on older machines. The mobile app is good, but occasionally the call quality on weaker internet connections isn’t as stable as I’d like — even though this is partly due to network conditions, other lightweight calling apps sometimes handle it better.

Before we switched to Webex Calling, our team was juggling multiple tools for voice calls, meetings, and messaging, which often led to missed calls, poor audio quality, and confusion about which platform to use. Remote and hybrid work made things even more challenging — we needed a single, reliable system that worked seamlessly across devices and locations without a complicated setup.

User interface is still outdated. Large app size. As AI is getting better day-by-day it must allow users to tailor AI summary style and option for task-based follow-up reminders. It must enable co-host management, easier pre-assignment, and better broadcast controls.

Initial setup and migration from legacy systems can be a bit complex without proper Cisco partner support. Also, the control hub could be more intuitive for non-technical admins. Occasionally, there's a lag in updates syncing between Control Hub and devices.
