If you want to use the product to its fullest potential then you have to follow the version one way of doing things. It doesn't adapt well to existing or custom business processes. You'll spend a lot of time trying to modify both to make them fit. Better to either find a solution flexible enough to fit your process or change your process to match the v1 setup.
