"Geo-Targeted Privacy Notices and Audit-Ready Consent Logging"
4/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

1. The most useful and best feature is that Usercentrics can serve and adjust privacy policy notices based on a visitor’s geo-location. This is much more convenient, since laws vary across different parts of the world.

2. The second feature my team and I like most is that it logs everything—such as timestamps and consent receipts—so we’re always prepared for any future audits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

1. Their system design—especially the UI/UX—feels weird and unintuitive. Banner customization, styling, and categorization all live in different places, which makes the workflow confusing.

2. Sometimes Google Tag Manager custom triggers don’t work. My team has to find a workaround so it can trigger a non-tracking banner and still comply with the laws. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello Mahmudul,

Thank you for your review! We're glad the geo-targeted privacy notices and audit-ready consent logging are working well for your team - having location-based compliance and full documentation for audits is essential.

We appreciate your feedback on the UI/UX and workflow organization, as well as the GTM custom trigger issues. These are valuable observations and we'll make sure they reach our product team.

Kind regards,

"Usercentrics Simplifies Consent Management With a Customizable Banner"
4/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

What I like most is that Usercentrics makes consent management easier to organize in one place. The consent banner is customizable, and the platform gives us a clearer overview of user preferences and compliance settings. This saves time compared with managing cookie consent manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The initial setup can take some time, especially when configuring the banner, cookie categories, integrations, and regional compliance requirements. Some settings may also require technical knowledge, so non-technical users might need help from a developer or support team. Once configured, however, the platform is easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello there,

Thank you for your review! We're glad Usercentrics is saving you time by centralizing consent management and giving you a clearer overview of user preferences and compliance settings.

We appreciate your feedback on the initial setup - we understand it can take some time, especially around regional configurations. It's good to hear that once set up, the platform is easier to manage day-to-day.

"Simplifies Compliance Yet Needs Smoother Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

I like that Usercentrics simplifies everything for managing user compliance and takes care of complex things like what to show or store from the end user. The consent banner and preference management features are the best parts for me, making it very helpful in avoiding complex logic and ensuring compliance with all necessary rules before tracking user behavior. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The setup of Usercentrics could be improved because some settings feel too technical and full of jargon. Choosing the correct category for the project and the initial service setup itself can be a bit overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello Kashif,

Thank you for your review! We're glad the consent banner and preference management are taking the complexity out of compliance for you, so you can focus on your work rather than building custom logic.

We appreciate your feedback on the setup experience - making the initial configuration and service categorization more accessible is something we're always working on.

"Reliable and extensive Consent Management Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

We use Usercentrics on our agency website and on many of our client websites. We appreciate the guided settings and, in particular, the multilingual configuration options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The learning curve for special configurations sometimes feels complicated. We'd love to have an app available on HubSpot Marketplace (like the one from CookieBot). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

"Allround tool for consent management with excellent integrations and easy user interface"
5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

Usercentrics makes it easy to manage data processing services and consent across all our websites, as it offers almost any option required to fullfil GDPR necessities and has a large set of pre-configured DPS, so no manual setup of end user information is necessary, which saves a lot of time. Also the tool has excellent integration with other platforms, we are especially using their connection with JENTIS. Usercentrics is frequently adding new tools and adapts to changes on the side of the DPS, for example various consent modes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

One of the main pain points is the management of almost identical websites in different countries, requiring the setup and testing of DSPs in each individually instead of globally (maybe with a simple country activiation). Additionally we had some problems with Google Consent Management and it was not easy to figure out, if the problem was on Usercentrics or JENTIS side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello there,

Thank you for your review! We're glad Usercentrics is saving you time across nine European countries with the pre-configured DPS library, automatic translations, and the integration with JENTIS. Managing that breadth of services and languages from one platform is exactly what we aim to support.

We appreciate your feedback on multi-country management - having to set up and test DPS individually across near-identical websites instead of globally is a valid pain point, and this is helpful input for our team. Your note on the Google Consent Mode troubleshooting is also well taken.

"Managing GDPR compliance for my website"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

What I like most about Usercentrics is that even the free version lets me localise texts in two languages, so I can reach a wider audience while staying compliant worldwide. The clear reporting and transparency tools also help me track user consent, build trust, and stay accountable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The price can be a bit high, which is tough for freelancers on a tight budget. It also takes some time to learn all the features, so it may not be ideal if you want something you can use right away. That said, despite these drawbacks, the platform’s strengths still make it worth using Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Pascale Comaty of Usercentrics

Hello Adelina,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Usercentrics. We're glad to hear that the multilingual support and reporting features are helping you stay compliant and build trust with your audience, even on the free plan.

We also appreciate your honest feedback about pricing and the learning curve. We understand these can be challenges, especially for freelancers managing tight budgets, and we're always looking at ways to improve onboarding and make the platform more accessible. If you ever need help navigating specific features, our support team is here to assist.

Thanks again for recognizing the platform's strengths and for taking the time to share your thoughts.

"Streamlined Consent Management, Needs Better Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

I really appreciate Usercentrics for its highly adaptable banner customization suite combined with its master compliance configuration framework. This setup allows me to organize global privacy regulations inside a single dashboard, significantly simplifying our IT environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The primary drawback of the software is that the native analytics reporting inside the dashboard lacks the depth needed to tie user consent behavior to direct acquisition channels. It forces us to export the raw event data to external BI systems if we want to trace how different banner variants impact our specific ad campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello Lucio,

thank you for your review! We're glad the banner customization and centralized compliance dashboard are simplifying your global privacy management across regions.

Your feedback on the native analytics is well noted - being able to connect consent behavior to acquisition channels directly within the platform would clearly add value to your workflow. This is useful input for our product team.

"Highly Intuitive with Strong Customization, But Setup Can Be Tedious"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

The absolute best aspect of Usercentrics is the flexible, highly intuitive banner customization interface, coupled with its consolidated regional reporting suite. The control dashboard is designed cleanly enough that our nontechnical managers can adjust visual layouts, update compliance wording, and manage data processing service categories completely independently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The primary pain point we encountered was that the initial implementation for multidomain web environments took significantly longer and was much more tedious to deploy than we originally anticipated. While launching the platform on a single route landing page is incredibly fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello Chi M.,

Thank you for your review! It's great to hear that your nontechnical managers can independently manage banner layouts, compliance wording, and DPS categories - that level of accessibility across the team is exactly what we aim for.

We appreciate your feedback on the multidomain setup complexity. We understand that scaling from a single site to multiple domains is a different challenge, and this is helpful input as we work on improving that experience.

"Highly Reliable, Scalable Compliance Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

I really like Usercentrics for its consistently reliable domain consent sharing capability. Being able to share users' choices seamlessly across related domains and sub-domains via a unified backend configuration means our visitors only have to make their privacy selections once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

The main limitation we have encountered with Usercentrics is that the native testing options are somewhat limited and rigid to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello Kenton,

Thank you for your review! We're glad the cross-domain consent sharing is creating a smoother experience for your visitors - only having to make privacy selections once across related domains is a real usability win.

We appreciate your feedback on the native testing options. This is useful input as we continue developing the platform.

"Streamlined Compliance with Usercentrics"
5/5
What do you like best about Usercentrics?

I find the highly precise script separation and automated categorization engine the most beneficial component of Usercentrics. It integrates seamlessly with our Google Tag Manager environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

I find that the subscription structures and back-end logic are heavily optimized for commercial, for-profit digital environments. We feel that the focus on advertising ecosystems and conversion metrics does not align with our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hanna Sternkopf of Usercentrics

Hello Robin,

Thank you for your review! We're glad the script separation, automated categorization, and GTM integration are working well for your digital governance needs. It's great to hear Usercentrics is helping bridge the gap between complex data protection laws and digital communications in the European policy space.

We appreciate your feedback on the subscription structure and commercial focus - understanding how organizations outside the for-profit space experience our platform is valuable input for us.

Kind regards,
