Osano was very easy to onboard -- the documentation and assistance were fantastic, but we almost didn't need them because the platform was intuitive to use. The biggest advantage for us, however, was how well Osano handles managing permissions for our Hubspot integration. We tried other solutions who claimed they worked with Hubspot, but they weren't setup for managing Hubspot's code on a non-Hubspot website. I love how easy Osano is to set up and manage. The cookie consent banner took just one line of JavaScript, and everything from script management to disclosures is super intuitive. The TrustHub feature keeps all our compliance pages in one place, and the location detection automatically adjusts consent for each visitor. The only real downside is the price — it’s definitely on the higher side compared to other tools. For smaller organizations or lower-traffic sites, the cost can feel steep. Ability to implement very quickly to sites with the CMP, clone configurations, make changes and finalize deployment through publishing. Also like the continuous monitoring of discovered cookies and scripts. Also like that you can configure a site with Silent mode while it performs discovery. Customer service is excellent as they provided rapid guidance on what was possible and impossible. Also works great with GA, GTM and CMS such as Drupal and WP. While I do like the easy "out of the box" configurations, many "custom" configurations can only be implemented with custom CSS or Osano JavaScript querystring for templates. I wish the Preview feature within the tool can show the live UI changes, like button made invisible or custom banner border and color. That said, the out of the box configuration will help 90% of companies and mine was the 10% where my internal customers wanted tweaks. Also works great with GA and GTM but if you tweak the template parameter and other forced customizations, you'll have to do a little but more work on the integration. I really appreciate the powerful automation features in Osano, which are a game changer for our organization. These features allow us to remain compliant without the need for extensive resources, enabling us to handle significant increases in incoming requests efficiently without the need for extra staff or additional time spent on compliance tasks. The data discovery feature was initially lacking, which posed a challenge at the beginning. Although we managed to make it work, it required some adjustment. Additionally, for larger corporations, the simplicity of Osano might be a hindrance rather than a benefit for those that need more detailed or customized workflows. Osano is really easy to use and is best suited for a company looking for quick implementation and getting up and running immediately with best practices and settings configured out of the box. It focuses on trying to keep you compliant and has several features that help with using it correctly (like the banner previews) and quickly (AI-assisted cookie classification). The basic customization options are easy to use. The discovery of cookies is quick and the rules are easy to use. Additionally, the support is great - very quick to respond and knowledgable. It might not be the right fit for an organization looking for a very custom solution. Some of the customization options are limited or require reaching out to support to enable - for example customizing larger parts of the disclaimers/consent strings, adding custom links or buttons. The solution tries to steer you to a path defined by Osano that is probably a great and compliant fit for most companies - but in specific cases when the legal/privacy team wants to make some custom choices, it is not as easy to change. We encountered a few challenges, particularly with the lack of Expo support. The Osano team was extremely helpful and did their best to accommodate our needs, but ultimately, we were unable to get it working with our new app and ended up integrating directly with the APIs ourselves.

Additionally, as a UK-based company, I have noticed that support response times can be slow if an issue arises outside of standard US business hours, which is often the case for us or when problems occur over the weekend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've been using Osano for more than two years now to manage cookie consents and DSARs for our Organization, across multiple platforms in different countries.

Using Osano gives us the assurance that all legal matters related to our customers' personal information are in good hands. It made sure that our customers have the ability to choose their consent levels easily on our websites, and also get their DSAR forms processed properly using Osano's easy to use and process forms. Last year in October I opened a support ticket regarding every admin in the organization receiving the new DSAR request notification email while it's only a request from one organization. We have been using Osano's consent management solution for the last 3 years. I really like the support they provide over the years. I can reach out to Skye or Chris at any time and I know I will get a prompt and thorough response. I also like their admin panel. I was hoping there was more information on cross domain tracking or a better solution for cross domain tracking. This may be more of any issue with browsers in general and not specifically Osano, but our website uses 2 domains and our consent management pops up twice for new users as they go from one domain to the next. There's been a trend over recent years in which US States have been creating their own data privacy laws. Establishing applicability to your business, or lack thereof, can be an intensive process.

I've noticed in the past that some of their system updates are not implemented as intended if you are not using their default settings. It has caused issues wherein our Subject Rights Forms were non-functional without notice. Their customer support, however, was quick to acknowledge and fix the issue. While Osano is a very effective platform overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. The initial setup can be a bit technical, especially for teams without a dedicated developer. Some customization options—like fine-tuning consent banner designs—are slightly limited without coding experience. Additionally, it would be great to see more granular analytics on user consent behavior. That said, Osano regularly updates the platform, so many of these issues are already being addressed.
