HORRIBLE!!! **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2024 **What do you like best about Unity?** Easy to build things and import objects and packages for the most part **What do you dislike about Unity?** IF YOU READ THIS, DO NOT GET UNITY!!! It is so frustrating that i have been trying to make a very simple game, and i have had EIGHT FAILED ATTEMPTS all because Unity, the "Best and most used" game software DELETED EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE!!! Beware. If you use unity, don't put too much work into your projects because all of your hard work WILL be deleted. And the errors! if you make ONE mistake, it can cause AN INSANE amount of compiling errors that you can't fix. I have an example, actually! One time, I MISCLICKED and the errors tab said 999+ errors. AND THEY COULDN'T BE CLEARED!!! **What problems is Unity solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. ### 2. Big claims giant pitfalls **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Shane K. | Influencer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021 **What do you like best about Unity?** Of course, it having a free option is a giant boon, and it is relatively easy to use. **What do you dislike about Unity?** There is a lot to unpack here, so for starters, lighting is terrible, and if you are building an MMO you become plagued with issues as you do not have access to the back end of the software unless you pay a lot for it anytime they do an update it will break your older content that you then have to go back and fix so with every update you are wasting time to go back and then fix everything that broke there are also constant issues when saving builds it will crash constantly. You will have to kick off your build again. **What problems is Unity solving and how is that benefiting you?** I ended up switching to unreal I was unable to solve any of my issues from an engine before that, so there was no real benefit for me in using unity. ### 3. I have been using it for years and have purchased thousands of dollars worth of assets to help further my business' creations. I recommend Unity to everyone from beginners to experts interested in making any type of game. However, I would not recommend using Unity until they fix this bs customer service that they have. I am about to move to Unreal Engine. **What do you dislike about Unity?** I hate that Unity's customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with. I emailed them a week ago about my account being locked out due to their stupid website refusing to send the code to my email. I have thousands of dollars of assets that I need access to a WEEK AGO, and they refuse to answer any of my emails!!!! I would not recommend using Unity until they fix this bs customer service that they have. I am about to move to Unreal Engine. **Recommendations to others considering Unity:** Don't get it until they fix their customer service. **What problems is Unity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making games, mobile, pancake, VR/AR, it's great for all of it. ## Unity Discussions -
