For overall intelligent performance, I can say that Unity is the fastest engine I've ever used. There is a pleasant interface and an easy import machine so you can quickly see how your models are searching or how our animations are moving. Extremely easy recreation engine for me to start growing with. The image comes with Unity also remarkable with the learning tutorials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Unity? I used different recreation engines, so I felt that the other has a higher image output and having the identical output on the unit has to go through unique settings. One aspect I don't like about Unity, which also exists nowadays, is that at some point the games made in the Unity Editor look fine and without malicious programs, however, they appear while you build it for standalone mode. I would like to have more possibilities to await events from agencies like "UNITE"? I would like to be incorporated into the engine, as in the case of Unreal. One thing I don't like about Unity that still exists today is that, someday, games made in the Unity Editor seem satisfactory and without malicious programs, however, it comes to computer viruses while you build for standalone. For a small primer, I could advise separating raywenderlich Unity is a high-quality tool for making video games and it's not just for independent developers, it has features that rival higher-priced engines at no cost or a fraction of the fee. Their engine is free and easy to install, and so anyone can have a fully featured game development engine installed on their Windows PC or Mac (Linux support is also on the way) with a minimum of fuss. Just Google “unity3d download”. During the install process you can choose specific build platforms. Many are unchecked by default so be sure to read the list and take what you want. It is very powerful, and can do a lot. It's a great piece of development software. It is difficult to learn, but there are a lot of tools out there that are very beneficial. It also have a lot of the same shortcut keys as other 3D programs, so navigating the software is straightforward if you have used 3D modeling programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Unity? The projects you can make with the Personal version look terrible. You don't have access to all the features, which I understand. However, when you are learning the software it becomes frustrating, because you try to do something (making terrain for instance) and you can never get it to look really realistic. Recommendations to others considering Unity: Definitely try the software before you commit to spending money on it. It is really powerful, but there is a very very steep learning curve. User friendly interface, easy to learn to work with. Since updating to Unity 5.5 version I'm experiencing a lot of visual glitches like random red lines, some spaces suddenly becoming black etc. My coworkers experience similar problems as well. No such problems occured in 5.4 version. It also has some little annoyances e.g. I dislike the way you have to delete polygon collider vertices in 5.5 version, 5.4 version had more convenient way, or sometimes drops you out of the folder you are in. Performance issues once you get into the need for multithreading, such as raycasts. Console stability was unpredictable around version 5.4.
