## Timecounts Reviews
  ### 1. Timecounts Is Super User Friendly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eileen L. | Teaching Artist (Media Arts), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Timecounts is really user friendly! It offers a Help Center with guided videos that can help guide you through learning how to operate and navigate the system. Even better if you need extra guidance there are Timecounts agents on standby ready to help you with a simple click on the always visible messenger icon! Another great attribute of Timecounts is you can sign up volunteers that are less confident doing things online, those that feel less tech savvy. Once you know the availability of your volunteers you can begin choosing what shifts works best for them so long as they sign up with their email. Shortly after the volunteer will receive a conformation email on their end. The icons on the side of page are also there to guide you to different pages you may need, whether it's creating an event, building your schedule, checking analytics, checking or sending a message. Lastly, TImecounts is open to suggestions to improve the system making it easier for all!

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

Currently it is not possible to filter which volunteers are signed up to volunteer but have not confirmed a shift. Meaning it is difficult to pinpoint specific volunteers that you would like to encourage to volunteer to fulfill their minimum shift requirements. You would have to manually go though all your volunteers. On a bright note, Timecounts is making the necessary changes to improve that part.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Timecounts to message all my volunteers that shifts are available so they may begin signing up. I also use Timecounts to create events such as orientations and volunteer parties. Lastly it's a great resource for information, seeing how many volunteers worked last year versus this year and how many volunteers hours were completed in total last year compared to this year etc.

  ### 2. Complex scheduling made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig S. | Mr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

The ability to allow different volunteers with different skills access to a variety of events, training, schedules and venues.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

The functions are regularly updating which is a positive long-term but can sometimes throw you a little while you are trying to do things. Better phone/tablet functionality would be really useful. Email layout in the Communications can be a bit confusing at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Absolutely heading in the right direction.
Staff are incredibly helpful and very quick to respond.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The recent additions to analytics etc are proving really useful in providing quick figures about volunteers etc. Using the application form embedded in a variety of places allows easier functioning and streamlining so we deal with one input stream overall.
Also, the use of 'Qualify/Unqualify' for specific roles alongside the 'tagging' (and now checklist function) mean that it is easy to track a volunteer's application progress and make safeguarding and training more secure!

  ### 3. TimeCounts makes it easy to share my organization's schedule with community partners and volunteers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jade B. | Volunteer Coordinator VISTA, Mental Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love that I can add volunteer agreements, waivers of liability, media release consents and volunteer availability. I like that I can duplicate events and export lists of contacts. I like that I can manipulate the home hub pages to add links to my organization's various projects, websites and social media accounts. Aside from volunteer sign-up, I use timecounts as a way to display our schedule so community partners know where our mobile shower services for those experiencing homelessness on O'ahu will be weekly. I love how responsive your team is and I am excited that timecounts wants to feature our volunteer platform!

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I wish there was a smartphone application! Sometimes the interface is very slow and the mail does not automatically mark itself as read once opened. The way the messaging system lists messages does not flow in an intuitive order. It is very hard for me to tell what someone's most recent response was.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slow and does not let you imbed your own forms.

  ### 4. Museum using Timecounts for Docent and Volunteer Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly W. | Curator Of Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I like that our volunteers can login from anywhere (computer or mobile device) to see what activities they can assist with. It really free's up my time as Docent Coordinator to not have to call or email each volunteer individually for scheduling purposes.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I dislike the way that events are catagorized. I know some of this may just be the way that our program fits into the format, but I don't like that recurring events are separate from one-time events. It makes my volunteers have to look in different places to see what we have happening. I would prefer to see that as one calendar. I also hear from my volunteers that it would be helpful to see who has signed up for what event on the volunteer end.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

If you are a museum who would like to allow volunteers to manage their own schedules, I would definitely recommend Timecounts for ease of use and affordability.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to schedule volunteers for a full range of programming based on their individual schedules. Timecounts has helped us put that in the Volunteer's hands.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the feedback Kimberly! We have some updates coming later this year that will allow you to customize the hub view you prefer for organizations, and a calendar view. Totally agree that would be a great addition to Timecounts.

  ### 5. This program keeps track of nearly everything and the costumer service is fantastic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah C. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Since we are a growing nonprofit, we have a lot on our plate. Timecounts helps take the burden off of us by keeping track of volunteer information and hours. Also, the employees are very friendly and will help with any questions you might have. The ability to have different shifts at our volunteer opportunities is also a huge bonus.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

When a group wants to volunteer together on a certain day, it can be a little difficult for everyone to enter their name individually. If there was a way for a group to sign up a set amount of people without each person having to sign up, it would make this program even easier.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting volunteers the information they need can be difficult. However, with Timecounts, we were able to create an information page so that our volunteers know exactly what to expect and how they can help.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the wonderful review Hannah. Group volunteering is a feature we're working on soon, so that should solve your problem with teams very soon!

  ### 6. Grateful user --- keeps us in close contact with volunteers!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica S. | Festival Director, Motion Pictures and Film, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

The filtering of schedule view is excellent --- knowing what shifts are totally empty, which venues have a wait list, who's recently signed up for a shift --- there are a lot of way to encounter and organize what might otherwise be an overwhelming task.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I've had only one instance of difficulty in setting up shifts due to a system outage, but help got back to me over the weekend and by Monday there was a patch that let me set up shifts as usual. Swiftly resolved frustration was handled elegantly! I'd like to be able to send attachments when contacting volunteers through Timecounts, but otherwise it's been a great experience.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We coordinate our volunteer corps through Timecounts. Every March, we hold an 11-day film festival with over 20 venues. For a festival with only 5 full-time staff, that's a tall order. Timecounts helps us coordinate our volunteers and photographers to make sure each screening is adequately staffed.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Appreciate the great review Monica! PS. document storage and file attachments are coming very soon :)

  ### 7. TimeCounts has been a significant upgrade to our volunteer management system.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina L. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Everything is so user-friendly! I have limited design knowledge but was able to make such a pleasing Hub for my company. It's also so easy for our volunteers to sign-up for shifts.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

There was a bit of a learning curve to figure out some of the site-specific terminology. It took a bit of trial & error to figure out if an Event vs. Assignment worked best for us, for example.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Take your time going through the help/tutorial articles and don't be afraid to use the chat feature for help! The customer service response is unbeatable.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since using TimeCounts, I've had a massive decrease in my work hours that I've needed to dedicate to volunteer scheduling and management. I am able to simply check the site once or twice a day and know that everything is being managed reliably. It's made such a major improvement to our company's functionality (as well as my sanity!)

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the review Sabrina. We love hearing how much time (and sanity) we're saving you. :)

  ### 8. Community Connections Coordinator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah H. | Community Connections Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I like that the interface is simple and uncluttered, it is fairly user friendly, I also like that you can switch and view the website as a volunteer rather than as admin, creating new postings and forms is easy.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I dislike that there is a lot of jumping around from page to page when you need to manually track volunteer hours. Adding them in one place and approving them in another, for example. I wish it was a bot more streamlined.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we do not have a dedicated volunteer coordinator, Timecounts allows us to track all of our volunteers in one place, making it much easier to report on the hours contributed and number of volunteers engaged. It is also helpful for the volunteers to be able to view their schedule and accept or decline shifts, as well as apply easily for new opportunities.

  ### 9. Great looking, feature-packed, volunteer management system!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonah T. | Farm Manager, Farming, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love how Timecounts provides a great looking front-end display to show case the different opportunities we have available for volunteers. This way we can broadcast specific volunteer opportunities to people who are interested in those jobs. Coordinating our events has been much smoother, with the ability to provide details on jobs within events and easily provide reminders and notifications about their shifts.

The built in system for crediting volunteer hours saves us a lot of time when generating our reports of volunteers hours. It has been easy to train volunteer team leaders to coordinate their teams on Timecounts in a way where all of our data is stored in one place, and I can easily see which volunteers are active. Timecounts has been foundational to setting up a system that allows us to share administrative tasks and track data that will ensure our non-profit's continuity of organization even if members of our team move on. The ability to create internal notes and see message histories is so helpful in maintaining timely and responsive communication.

Timecounts is always adding new features and making improvements to an already amazing piece of software. The tech support and staff are responsive, friendly and professional. I have used a lot of cloud based software, and Timecounts is an example of a company that excels in a high quality experience both on the front end for volunteers, and the back end for volunteer coordinators.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I am looking forward to a built in connection with Mail Chimp, which I believe is on the road map but has not yet been implemented. While the volunteer dashboard is a beautiful mobile adaptive interface, I would love if there were some mobile adaptive administrative tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Definitely give it a shot if you are looking for the best volunteer management software out there- I trailed a number of options and was not able to find something more suitable to our needs.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timecounts does the job of at least one full time volunteer administrator and allows us to easily delegate volunteer coordination tasks to multiple people. Training others to use Timecounts has been easy, and the software can be effectively used by multiple parties without duplicating efforts or creating confusion within the office. The dashboard, and 'dot' notifiers really help me keep on top of my to list and save me the time of organizing call lists and to do lists. Timecounts also helps me communicate to volunteers in a way that looks good and is clear and effective.

  ### 10. Solid platform with a few minor hiccups.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher C. | Volunteer Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

It is great to have applications and scheduling on one place online, so that my perspective volunteers can look into and sign up for events through one process. Also the tag system allows me to make all the notes I need to track various things.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I would love to be able to view volunteer records in a format other than a side bar on the page. Additionally, I feel like the following things are missing: weekly schedule to print, Better cancellation notifications (let me know what shift is involved in the notification), way to attach a document to a person, more robust ways to analyze and export volunteer data.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are growing our network and providing better services to our customers through volunteers.

  ### 11. Great product with much more to come

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chantale S. | Volunteer Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

TimeCounts is very user friendly. I love the idea of volunteers using a portal to apply for volunteer opportunities and to view their hours. Through this software I am able to create a volunteer profile for each volunteer which records their hours, messages, information and any other information. It also super easy to use and to customize the information recorded. This has made my life much easier!

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

TimeCounts does not currently have a way to upload , which makes storage of resumes, interview notes and sending volunteer's documents. However, they are in the process of updating to include this feature. Also, there is no feature for volunteers to record their own hours.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having TimeCounts allows me to keep most of my volunteer files in one place, rather than on multiple systems. It has improved my efficiency.

  ### 12. Skid Row Housing Trust Timecounts User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mallory P. | Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

It is really user friendly and easy to navigate (and I'm not a tech savvy person). I often have to pull metrics such as Community Growth or find out who has been active within certain dates, and those things are always easy to find. Probably the best thing about Timecounts is that whenever I can't figure something out, I use the chat feature. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 minutes to get a reply (which is impressive because being on the West Coast, I am sometimes working outside of EST business hours).

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

There are sometimes delays in the site, which can be frustrating, but the good news is that they always communicate the issue and let you know that they're working on it. It would be nice to have an option to upload a resume as well.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Timecounts as our front and back end for volunteer engagement. It's where the volunteers sign up and also where we store all of our information, such as their hours and even how well they've done, how loyal they are, etc. One huge benefit is that we are able to report our volunteer metrics to donors and in grants- Timecounts makes that a lot easier to do because it's easy to pull a number such as Volunteer Community Growth in 2018. It's these kinds of statistics that have actually proven to HR at my company that a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is a valuable asset and worth the salary.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the review Mallory! Good news - document storage and file uploads (to attach and save resumes) will be released very soon.

  ### 13. Clear and organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love this volunteer management system because it allows me to see who is joining us for shifts so easily. I also really appreciate how easy it is to communicate directly with our volunteers, and create once-off and ongoing volunteer opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

This is likely because we have the free version, but we are unable to copy shifts to repeat throughout the entire month. This just makes it a longer process to set up new shift calendars.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

I would love a way to easy copy shifts that we have repeating each month. I also manage a few ongoing volunteer opportunities that last longer than 3 months, so it would be great to be able to extend beyond 3 months for each ongoing volunteer calendar.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have always used a shift management system for our ongoing volunteer opportunities, but Timecounts looks significantly better than its competitors and it has both outward facing and internal systems that help manage and recruit volunteers through the same system.

  ### 14. Very user-friendly and easy to organise people and track time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love the aesthetic and that it's very easy for new users to understand and sign up to things. I also like the hourly log feature and that I can view each volunteers' individual hours over time

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

That I cannot repeat shifts or make the same shift continue weekly for the same people - like to assign a whole month of shifts I have to add every one manually which can be a little long/

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Really easy way of tracking and logging hours!

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to create roles and shift for new volunteers. I wanted a database that wasn't excel based, and could easily store volunteer information as well as assign shifts, and allow new people to sign up independently. This has been extremely helpful for both, as it allows others to view the available shifts and allow me to designate shifts to people. It's also helpful to have a secure database of details and personal information.
I also wanted to be able to track volunteer hours over time, to reach milestones and reward volunteers for their efforts. This has massively simplified the process (previously I was totalling up on excel which was arduous).

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the review! We have the ability to create repeating shifts on the Premium plan, it will allow you to assign someone to a recurring shift easily. Reach out to us on customer service and we'll give you a demo of how that works.

  ### 15. Needs Time to Grow, but Great for a Startup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosalind E. | Owner, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love that the database is an unlimited number of entries, without a cap on the number of volunteers you can enter to manage. It's fairly intuitive software, easy to use for the most part, and I love that there are several search options. It was super fast to setup, and the option to import CVS files was extremely helpful. It looks like it will be fairly easy to link to our website.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I don't like the layout of the schedules, it's hard to see multiple things without having to scroll through the entire list of schedules; it might be easier as a list rather than as blocks, for me.

I also wish this site had an app for phones; it's really difficult to see the information through the browser on a phone.

I also wish there were a few more levels of administrators for the free plan. I need a couple lower level administrators, but only am allowed one other top level administrator currently.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Free version is great for small nonprofits not requiring a lot of administrators.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved our need for software to organize our volunteers, and gained the ability to search volunteer entries for skills and experience, which really helped step up our game. It's saved tons of time, and puts the volunteer in charge of what information gets added and how it gets updated, which reduced the stress and time of staff members.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the great feedback Rosalind. We have some updates coming soon that should address your comments like the ability to customize the view your volunteers experience in the hub.

  ### 16. Amazing customer support and their product is getting better and better.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alec O. | Director of Community Engagement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

The customer support is unparallel. I have had a lot of questions that were answered or addressed between 10 minutes and 24 hours. Very impressive.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

There are still some bugs and not fully rolled out capabilities that will truly make this platform great. Optimization and customizable analysis would be very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Ask lots of questions and go through the help page FAQ section.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to streamline and automate our volunteers. We are seeing the benefits of freeing up time of our team to focus on the programming and content of our nonprofit.

  ### 17. Great support, easy-to-use platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica G. | Director Of Operations, Philanthropy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I really appreciate how helpful the support team is at Timecounts. They are very engaged and ready to help which is pretty rare for platforms like this. I also like the dashboard which is easy to use and review.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

Sometimes I think that its a little hard to sort through volunteer applications and find my way around. I get the function of the approval process but a lot of the time it slows me down and creates more confusion. I also wish that the messaging was better linked to email because now that every platform has their own messaging system, its unrealistic to check them all so often messages go unread.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great to have a platform that consolidates all volunteer applications. Its a pretty easy system to use when it comes to creating an event or job posting so that makes life easier.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the review Jessica! We're taking all your great feedback onboard to make Timecounts even better.

  ### 18. Solved a lot of scheduling needs!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica F. | Member Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Timecounts has a professional and modern feel that allows our organization to present a polished volunteer management system to members. Volunteers pick up on the system quickly and we appreciate being able to schedule multiple needs.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

Timecounts is currently only useful for scheduled volunteering. About 50% of our volunteers are not scheduled by us though, and the system is hard to accommodate them so we still need a paper back up.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timecounts allows our coordinator to track volunteer data in the same place that scheduling needs happens.. It allows for less log ins and less windows open!

  ### 19. Great up-and-coming product!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sue T. | Community Services Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

The ability to customize and automate volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and communication. I used this for a small event and for a large event and it worked great! Customer service was also fantastic - each time I had a question, their representatives were available to chat. Often I was speaking to the owner directly and she was super upfront that the product was still in development and the limitations we stumbled across were in the process of being addressed in product improvements. She and her associates were extremely helpful as we set up our event and made the solution work for us.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

The inability to print the volunteer schedule was a limitation that was difficult for us. We had between 50 and 75 nonprofit volunteers working at a time in more than one location at a music festival and the ability to print would have been helpful so we could see all of our schedules at a glance.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Before setting up your events and forms, take the time to read through the support documents to familiarize yourself with the product vocabulary. It's important to know what things mean so that you set up your events in the best possible way. Because Timecounts has super customer service, consider chatting with them and describing what solution you want to use Timecounts for. I did this and they were remarkably helpful in assisting me in getting it right and really enjoying the product.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I was the development director for a youth nonprofit organization, I used Timecounts to recruit nonprofit volunteers for special events. My team and I were able to create our own form and gather the information we needed in a customized way - names, addresses, birthdates, t-shirt sizes, individual skill sets, scheduling preferences - all of it. We created various roles for our volunteers based on the tasks we needed completed and were able to schedule volunteers where we wanted them, move them around to make adjustments, and then send out schedule updates and other correspondence via email directly to the volunteers without hassle. Because of Timecounts, volunteers could sign up whenever/wherever was convenient for them, they could see what volunteer shifts and tasks still needed to be filled - and we could efficiently process their volunteer applications and schedules and communicate with them much faster than we could when we did all of our volunteer schedules manually or via Excel or some other method.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the great review and feedback, Sue!

  ### 20. Timecounts is a great idea!!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Recreational Facilities and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I like the freedom volunteers have to sign up for the events that suit their schedules. It makes recruiting from the admin end much simpler.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

As a summer camp we work with so many different software and systems already. It would be nice if it could link to our other admin software accounts like CampBrain. Our volunteers don't always want to log into another account as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Its a great product. Remember that you will need buy in from your volunteers. They will have to visit the site to use it. It seems obvious but if your volunteers don't use it, you won't either. I love how easy it is to use and how simple it was to set up. It creates a great looking website for your volunteers too!

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run volunteer staffed programs for many months of the year and time counts has helped us gather all of our volunteers into one place. we now have a place to store contact info and a hub for volunteers to connect with what is happening at Pioneer

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for taking the time to review Timecounts! Stay tuned for more integrations in future.

  ### 21. Great tool for managing volunteers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Timecounts streamlines the volunteer management process. I enjoy being able to create an event page with the pertinent details, shifts with accompanying descriptions of those responsibilities, and tracking and exporting sign-ups. The emails and notifications feature also makes it easy to communicate with volunteers with a click of a button.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

There isn't much that I dislike about Timecounts. I find that the menu/sidebar is a bit confusing to navigate, and I often have to click different links to get to the page I want.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's much easier to track and communicate with volunteers. Less of my time is spent replying to volunteer inquiries, and it's convenient being able to send a link for volunteers to sign up.

Another benefit is being able to automatically approve volunteers but manually approving their shift requests.

  ### 22. It is great platform , with a very manageable learning curve.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colton C. | Mobile Hygiene Program + Social Media Coordinator , Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Volunteer tracking features, product Design

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

User experiences takes time to learn, volunteers sometimes have a hard time.
Admin controls could be stronger i.e. organizing messaging templates, easier to access volunteer accounts from dashboard, etc.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving our volunteer tracking and communication needs. We realized Timecounts makes it easy to do so.

  ### 23. Great functionality, opportunity for customizing & branding.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer E. | Manager of Volunteer Engagement, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Love the ease of use, helps when we have a small but mighty team.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

We really needed a tool that we could make our own. Storytelling and brand awareness are important to us as well as integration with Salesforce so we had to go a different direction at the time.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event planning, volunteer recruiting.

  ### 24. Game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff K. | Director of Internships and Volunteer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love that everything you need to manage volunteers is in one space. I also love that it gives the volunteers a first class experience, but at a pricepoint we can afford. I love that it is easy to import our branding and photos. I love the customer service and quick responses!

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

-I wish we could arrange 'opportunities' in order of most critical, in the Hub.
-I wish volunteers could upload/track their own hours.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a more attractive and professional looking volunteer program. We are more efficient.

**Official Response from Amanda Rose:**

> Thanks for the great review, Jeff. We love working with you and your team! PS - customizing opportunities and volunteer logging their own time will be released in early 2019 :)

  ### 25. TimeCounts Review for UPLA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love how easy it is to create events and roles. I haven't planned to many events yet but creating shifts and times was fairly straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I wish there was an override capability as of a few months ago. For example, some shifts overlapped, however, the tasks allowed for individuals to be doing both at the same time.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We realize there is more organization with the events we host due to having an official list of volunteers and shifts rather than trying to find people the day of.

  ### 26. We have enjoyed TimeCounts greatly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel L. | Communications Coordinator, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

It allows our volunteers to signup whenever they have time.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

Wish TimeCounts would allow for "split shifts". Meaning 1 hr before our performance, during intermission, and 30 minutes following the performance. Most of our volunteer opportunities are like that and so the "end time" is not accurate. It confuses new volunteers.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Very easy to use!

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are small non-profit (3 full-time and 2 part-time staff). Using TimeCounts allows staff to not worry about meeting with each individual volunteer and therefore, saves us time.

  ### 27. TimeCounts has met every need we have with running a corporate volunteer program for our employees.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lars K. | Chief Operations Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

A few things:
- Integrated messaging
- Scheduling shifts for volunteer opportunities
- Tracking hours of service

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

It would be great if members could log their own individual volunteer hours.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a manageable volunteer program with measurable numbers.

  ### 28. Upgrading volunteer managment, with a bit of a learning curve.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I like the "track your hours" feature, and that we can schedule volunteer training, have sign-ups, and list different kinds of volunteer opportunities all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

It's strange for me to have to ask volunteers to "apply" for a position (maybe that's just me), and it's not exactly intuitive in going from being interested in volunteering to actually signing up via the "activities" tab.

**Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:**

Make sure you read through the "Help" pages and ask for support when you need it. There's a bit of a learning curve, but our volunteers seem to be getting the hang of it.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy for me to see all volunteer activities in one place.

  ### 29. TimeCounts Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I like that schedules can be built for my volunteers and their time can be tracked

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

I wish I could get alerts when someone fills out an application as I don't always have the time to check daily. Maybe there is a way, but I haven't figured that out.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping a better track of volunteer schedules is vital. We are now able to do that efficiently.

  ### 30. Always improving

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

Customer Service is exceptional. My problems are answered quickly. Amanda and Marsha always have time to answer my questions.

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

Timecounts is a small new company growing with the needs of its clients. It is a great product IMO, but some of the great developing features that they are working on might need client patience. I expect great things from Timecounts in the next year's development.

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our understanding of who our volunteers are have greatly increased. We can engage, communicate and track our volunteers in one place, without needing multiple spreadsheets or overlapping messaging from different employees.

  ### 31. The CAWS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tammi L B. | Volunteer Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Timecounts?**

I love the events sign up and emailing all our volunteers at once to come out for them. Then how I can click a button to credit the time for those events

**What do you dislike about Timecounts?**

That we are unable to have our volunteers enter their own time and have managers approve it

**What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking time is a huge benefit

  ### 32. Good thus far!
