She doesn't assume the accounting for our operations but actually asks questions to fully understand what our needs are. Even though it has taken me longer to get the information to The Answer Company, we are still able to move things forward. I like how the Chart of Accounts is flushed out rather than rushing through that process. This has helped me determine the needs of the company rather than just roll forward with what we currently have. **What do you dislike about The Answer Company?** A minor thing is that the implementation person isn't at the same timezone but we have made it work so it's not a big deal. I wanted someone good rather than someone in the same timezone. **Recommendations to others considering The Answer Company:** The Answer Company knows Sage Intacct and provides answers to areas that I didn't know I should be asking. I've dealt with other ERP implementations and that implementation team just doesn't know their product as well and was providing ad-hoc fixes that end up breaking other areas. **What problems is The Answer Company solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Answer Company is helping us with the implementation of Sage Intacct. We were recently acquired by a public company so we needed to upgrade our accounting system so we can do consolidation work. Update: After the Answer Company was acquired by BAASS, the responsiveness and the quality of the response is not as good as it once was. ### 2. TAC is extremely client-focused **What do you dislike about The Answer Company?** The TAC billing was overly complicated for Sage Intacct with the prepayment and we had to do a lot of back and forth on reconciling what was owed. Improve by not making client pre-pay for services that they won't or has not used **Recommendations to others considering The Answer Company:** The Answer Company walk the talk on customer service not only on pre-implementation and implementation, but also in respect of post-implementation. Most companies fail on this last pillar and wash their hands of issues that arise afterwards. Reduced staff. Easy access to the accounting system, especially remotely. Better insight and analysis. In addition, where they stand out from the crowd is on after-sales service. Lack of knowledge and accountability of staff. Seemed to have many different implementations ongoing at the same time so was only given 1 hr per week of time. A lot of frustration with things not being configured properly or at all - had to constantly push and follow up to get anything done **Recommendations to others considering The Answer Company:** Make sure you interview the team that will be helping out with your project and ask for references from previous clients. **What problems is The Answer Company solving and how is that benefiting you?** Set up of Sage Intacct system. Moving from Sage 300 CRE to Sage Intacct. Benefited from the AnswerCo's ties to Sage but did not benefit largely from their system knowledge. Project manager did not have the expertise or knowledge for an implementation, did not deliver on action items and did not have anything configured as we discussed. Escalated issue and got a senior manager's help which was better but delayed go-live by over a month. ### 21. He was very knowledgable, patient, a good trainer, and just a great person to work with. He also knew the company and our Sage customizations very well. Unfortunately, this consultant has left The Answer Company, so we don't have a dedicated consultant anymore. We are now using the general support centre for support requests. I have been satisfied with their service so far. The consultants that I have worked with were very knowledgable and friendly, and if they couldn't help with a certain issue they would find somebody who could. We also seem to be gravitating to using the same consultants, which gives me hope that we will end up building a relationship with a single consultant again. This is helpful as it means that the support consultand doesn't come in "cold" each time. **What do you dislike about The Answer Company?** Communication around our dedicated consultant leaving was poor. Also, when we still had the dedicated consultant we sometimes had issues with waiting times on support requests. I suspect that the issue with waiting times will be alleviated now that we aren't dependent on a single consultant anymore. **What problems is The Answer Company solving and how is that benefiting you?** General user training and support on Sage 300. The Answer Company assisted us in creating new companies on the platform and migrating the accounting function of a newly acquired legal entity from custom-written software onto Sage 300. They also assisted us in setting up API's between external software and Sage 300. ### 24. They all did a great job of reviewing our needs and ensuring that the ERP was configured to support our business requirements. **What do you dislike about The Answer Company?** Since our initial implementation, sometimes we experience a delayed response from our Consultants. Often this is due to a pending response required from another outside agency which is out of TAC control but we often need to remind or follow up on pending inquiries. **Recommendations to others considering The Answer Company:** I would recommend using TAC.I would use their services again for an ERP implementation. **What problems is The Answer Company solving and how is that benefiting you?** We completed a full ERP implementation with TAC (formerly Constructive Solutions) with an Oct 2020 go-live.
