There’s very little to dislike, but the initial setup and structuring of the Slide Library within SharePoint can take some planning to get right. TeamSlide makes it incredibly easy to find the exact slide you need without digging through old decks. The PowerPoint add-in works smoothly, and the search results are always accurate, even for older content. There’s a slight learning curve for first-time users, mainly because it offers more depth than a typical PowerPoint search. When you select a slide to add from TS and you don't have a similar slide-type selected from your deck the formatting for the new slide gets all messed up and wonky. Also, when new slides are added to TS there is a lag in the update for powerpoint and sometimes the new slide don't show up for the team for about an hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That you need to create and organize. I know this is a necessary step to get everything organized and working properly. I'm not sure there is a solution, but that extra work wasn't something I enjoyed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that TeamSlide integrates seamlessly into PowerPoint and is easy to use. I appreciate that I can organize all of my slides by various ontologies, and when slides change on the master version, it automatically updates the decks that were built with these slides the next time I open them. I like the ease of creating presentations with existing material. I use the tagging function a lot, which I really appreciate for linking and searching on the add-on; it is sufficiently easy and smooth. It greatly reduces the time needed to create presentations on topics already covered. It was sufficiently easy to initially set up TeamSlide, although I asked for help once for some minor details, but it doesn't require a lot of experience with technology. The issues I had identified (When tags are added, the slides are not always in presentation order. Sometimes a slide saved in a certain way does not retain some features in the new presentation.) have been resolved. There are advanced display options that allow you to view the slides by number order (instead of relevance, the default option); and by clicking on the information icon, you can then access a menu to ensure that the slides retain all the features of the presentation in which they will be inserted, if they are different from the original ones. It has brought conformity and efficiency across the organization. Our team uses it everyday. It saves so much time and relieves stress when the team puts deliverables together. It serves as a great starting point for anything, we have all kinds of decks - from basic and business development, to client kickoffs and end-of-project deliverables. So easy to find slides! They always know that have something consistent to rely on and can find everything they need.

It integrates with our existing SharePoint - which is ideal.

The system only updates every hour, so changes to slides aren't reflected right away.

Can be hard to manage the master slides, but that is part of PowerPoint. When you select slides, you have to select a slide that is in the same section or the slides get messed up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
