What do you like best about Tamr?

I find Tamr incredibly effective in its primary role of master data management. It excels in this aspect, allowing me to consolidate and manage data about our customers seamlessly. What stands out is how easy it is to use and integrate with our existing systems, making the process of data integration hassle-free. This ease of use enhances our ability to bring data together from a variety of sources, both internal and external, which helps us gain a comprehensive understanding of each customer. This understanding is crucial as it enables us to provide a better experience for our customers. Furthermore, the initial setup was straightforward, allowing me to easily pull in data, map it, and get the desired output. This user-friendly setup means that my team can quickly and effectively present data to our users. The seamless integration with Snowflake also enhances our workflow by ensuring smooth operations alongside our other tools. What do you dislike about Tamr?

It would be beneficial if we were able to customize the machine learning clustering to meet our needs a little bit more. We have different use cases that could benefit from more aggressive or conservative clustering depending on the context, but I know the Tamr team stays close to their customers and there are enhancements on the roadmap to help us meet those needs. What do you like best about Tamr?

I greatly appreciate Tamr's ability to enable the ingestion and mastering of source records in minutes, which represents a significant improvement over traditional batch processes that take hours. The real-time mastering ensures that data is continuously updated and available for operational use cases, removing any lag between data creation and consumption. This real-time capability is crucial for downstream systems that rely on the most current data. I also value Tamr's robust API capabilities, which facilitate seamless integration with other systems like Snowflake, OneTrust, and BlueShift. This integration supports automation and scalability across multiple domains, and the API-first approach allows for efficient data consumption and publication. Tamr's real-time search and integration capabilities with service bus and Snowflake further enhance its usefulness in managing and accessing data efficiently. Lastly, I am impressed by the proactive communication and quick issue resolution from the product engineering team, their responsiveness, and their continuous innovation, particularly concerning real-time APIs and the overall roadmap, which include partnership and thought leadership, aligning well with our strategic goals. What do you dislike about Tamr?

I find the configuration pages sometimes slow and unresponsive, which can be frustrating during critical tasks. Additionally, the evolving search capabilities in the 360 view are limited, relying on filters and curated views instead of allowing direct attribute searches. Although enhancements are planned, they are not yet fully delivered. The limited customization for hierarchies is another issue, requiring significant engineering effort to create custom hierarchies for customers or organizations, which is not readily available. "TAMR Core Review"
What do you like best about Tamr?

TAMR Core provides us with a flexible platform to assist in creating our single source of truth recording processes. The projects were simple to configure and let us determine what would and would not be used to cluster our data. We have used both the standard match processes to build record clusters in order to bring new data sources into our environment as well as the Low Latency Match API's to prevent new duplicates from being created in the first place. Both of those worked well. Tamr support has been very responsive when we have had issues. TAMR has a full set of API's covering all the functions of the engine and we have used them to integrate this engine into our data pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tamr?

The TAMR UI around clustering/pairing is a really dedicated to purely fixing and manipulating clusters of records. We have a team working on those processes and the features in the current core UI were not robust enough for the organization to manages the all the work flow of this group as they work through the required cluster. We have worked around this by using the TAMR API's in conjunction with our own workflow platform to build a solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Have worked with the Tamr solution and team for several years. The team are knowledgeable, responsive, personable and helpful. Tamr Core has presented us with two main technical issues. The first is the difficulty of upgrading, predominantly due to dependencies on non-Tamr software components.
