The difference in support was a chasm. ConnectBooks have the ability to map products between QuickBooks and your marketplaces with a simple excel sheet - like every other application. Synder do not have this facility, we worked with their technical team but they were slow and provided incomplete mapping and support. We asked for a refund of some of the fees we paid but they refused. Upon joining, Darya hosted a video session where we walked through every question in detail to ensure we were set up correctly. She also helped us with making a change to the platform specifically for our business. Snyder's customer service is great and Darya has put in the extra effort. **What do you dislike about Synder?** We do not have any complaints regarding the functionality of the platform. The things I wanted to do were not simple (e.g. not just enabling a setting) and they've been able to help me with all of them. The support stay on with me for as long as I need to get the solution, and they actually help me get to the solution rather than brush me off. They don't ask silly questions too. As someone who works with many software companies, Snyder's support has been the best I've experienced (and I'm quite hard to please ;)). It makes the world of difference to us as an agency to work with companies that we can rely on to help and care to solve our problems. I worked with a support rep named George who was very helpful and active in their response times. Looking forward to seeing their software continue to improve. **What do you dislike about Synder?** The rule system, while functional, is very clunky to work with. It is very tedious to create rules, and you cannot duplicate them or easily change the initial trigger for a rule. The rules also seem unnecessarily expensive. Finally, while the monthly transaction subscription rate makes sense for Synder, it does not make sense for companies that run sales and have brief periods of high transaction volume. You cannot downgrade your subscription yourself without contacting support so once you're locked into a high transaction volume subscription, it can get expensive. For these different business models, it would be nice to be able to explore a by transaction pricing model that allows for billing to match intermittent transaction volumes. **What problems is Synder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We process payments through stripe and paypal which have both outgoing and incoming transactions, paypal especially, which can pay out affiliates. The volume of transactions processed by our business is so high that it would be nearly impossible to keep the books manually. With their automatic (and accurate) importing as well as the rule feature, we are able to greatly reduce our bookkeeping costs while still maintaining accurate financial reports for internal and external reporting requirements. ### 46. The program itself is very user-friendly and comfortable to use. We find that in our office we are not great with technology, so we hit some obstacles along the way, and James was incredibly patient, supportive, sent screenshots and clear instructions to resolve any issues we had. This process made Synder the main reason I would recommend the program to others, because there is mothing more important than support when it is needed. **What do you dislike about Synder?** We don't believe that we found many downsides. In our case, we are new to the program and thought it would be easier to reach out for help than figure it out ourselves. This is relatively complex given the account details involved - there is a transfer from Stripe to our bank account that needs to reconcile correctly with all of the invoices that it is paying for, not to mention correctly reflecting the Stripe fees. Support was non-existent. Super basic functionality. The UI was from the 1990's. Synder, on the other hand, gives you the sync plus various reports to tell you how you're doing. They have a great UI that makes it easy to spot sync issues and to retry transfers when needed. If a disconnect happens, it's easy to recover. And they've been very responsive the couple of times I've had questions. **What do you dislike about Synder?** There's not really anything that jumps out at me as a dislike. They've improved on our prior platform and it's a fairly straightforward solution to a fairly straightforward need. **What problems is Synder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to get our individual payments, refunds and other information from Stripe into our accounting platform - Xero. Synder lets us specify what types of Stripe transactions go where and even to create rules around them.
