I was looking for an app that would work for my client's integration between Square and QBO. I've been pleasantly surprised with the options that Synder offers. I especially like the Daily Summary option. James was great in answering all my questions. I look forward to finding out what else Synder has to offer for my client's coffee shop. Vili was helpful in troubleshooting the issue when auto-sync turned off. Customer support is always quick to respond and offer a solution. Stripe sales, fees and contractor payments are synced to QBO. We have a Smart Rule in place to create an expense for 20-30 different vendor names in Quickbooks based on the description in Stripe. The customer support is great! I worked with a support rep named George who was very helpful and active in their response times. Looking forward to seeing their software continue to improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Synder? The rule system, while functional, is very clunky to work with. It is very tedious to create rules, and you cannot duplicate them or easily change the initial trigger for a rule. The rules also seem unnecessarily expensive. Finally, while the monthly transaction subscription rate makes sense for Synder, it does not make sense for companies that run sales and have brief periods of high transaction volume. You cannot downgrade your subscription yourself without contacting support so once you're locked into a high transaction volume subscription, it can get expensive. For these different business models, it would be nice to be able to explore a by transaction pricing model that allows for billing to match intermittent transaction volumes. We process payments through stripe and paypal which have both outgoing and incoming transactions, paypal especially, which can pay out affiliates. The volume of transactions processed by our business is so high that it would be nearly impossible to keep the books manually. With their automatic (and accurate) importing as well as the rule feature, we are able to greatly reduce our bookkeeping costs while still maintaining accurate financial reports for internal and external reporting requirements. James Plummer is what we find most helpful about Synder! The program itself is very user-friendly and comfortable to use. We find that in our office we are not great with technology, so we hit some obstacles along the way, and James was incredibly patient, supportive, sent screenshots and clear instructions to resolve any issues we had. What do you dislike about Synder? We don't believe that we found many downsides. In our case, we are new to the program and thought it would be easier to reach out for help than figure it out ourselves. However, after James took us through the process it was very evident that if we had just read through the available options more carefully we would been able to get to that answer. It was important for us to reduce the time we spent retyping orders, and have a system where the order would come in directly into Quickbooks, to a specific account. Sometimes the syncing lags. I wish they would change their automatic syncing from once every hour or so, to a constant refresh. Getting our transactions into QuickBooks Desktop without having to hand create each order is paramount. Synder seems to instinctively understand how we need our processes to work (even a step above our settings) and will change to adapt (like payments coming in days later, etc). We always had to hand enter those type of transactions before along with anything that wasn't just straightforward. It's an awesome program. The best thing of all is their support staff.
