The components look great and I haven't yet encountered anything that is simply not possible using Syncfusion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whilst I have not encountered anything that is not possible to achieve, the documentation does not cover more complex use cases. Generally there are samples out there, but it takes quite a bit of searching to find them. In particular it would have been useful to see more mainstream documentation on using the components with MVVM and I also took quite a while figuring out how to detect changes to drag and drop components such as TreeView and to write them back to my database. Not exclusively does Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition offer all the parts the engineer needs, yet it keeps on advancing them with new form updates and rich element increases. The controls are anything but difficult to work arrange. The UI interfaces things are wonderful and spread a wide scope of capacities in a predictable way. Value the extraordinary assortment of that toolbox. Syncfusion uphold is additionally excellent as they have had the option to address each address. The Syncfusion site contains models for each control and various application models, which is consistently useful. Assessed a few .NET segment bundles before picking Syncfusion. Utilizing their ASP.NET Center controls, you can spare an immense measure of advancement time, and have had the option to convey an expert and current looking application. Simple to utilize and comprehend. Spares time in finishing the improvement cycle, especially for a fledgling web engineer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The primary downsides are UWP documentation on the SfRichTextBoxAdv control doesn't express the order boundaries for orders, for example, InsertRowCommand. This applies for both, the on the web and PDF renditions. There is almost no data in the documentation on the most proficient method to utilize the label partners with regards to Razor Pages or how to incorporate label aides utilizing both Razor Pages and regulators. Documentation zone needs work basically and as far as fulfillment in various zones. There is need of a mechanized UI and documentation needs improvement. The majority of the devices should be modernized. The application is as yet deficient. A few segments (WinForms, generally) don't have the snares/strategies for customization in a manner that like. Technical support can normally give a work-around, however there are things would surrender due to the multifaceted nature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are tons of different components that work together pretty seamlessly. Syncfusion support is also very good as they have been able to answer every question I've thrown their way and have been able to provide fully working, or minor alterations needed, code samples to fix any issues I've had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The docs are good, but they're missing a lot of finer details about the components, so I find myself having to reach out to support often for help when I would rather just dig through the docs a bit further on my own. That's not an actual downside, just something that's a minor dislike for me.
There's a LOT of customization you can do with the components, but it's pretty complex and will likely require talking with support to get it how you want it. Again, not a bad thing per se, but it's something that is a minor dislike for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've only been using the Syncfusion Blazor package for a few weeks, Syncfusion controls have really helped move me along. Blazor is new and there's not as much knowledge 'out there' on how to do many things, I needed support here and there and SF support has been consistent and reliable, and best of all, very interested in resolving issues completely. I am very satisfied, so at this time nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Allows easy integration of Excel and pdf into C# desktop programming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although fixes are fairly quick when bugs are reported, in my limited use case (Excel and pdf), they have been numerous over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I evaluated several .NET component packages before choosing Syncfusion. Using their ASP.NET Core controls, I have saved a huge amount of development time, and have been able to deliver a professional and modern looking application.
The Syncfusion site contains examples for every control and numerous application examples, which is always helpful. The documentation and knowledge base is extensive.
Syncfusion's support team are brilliant and have always been very responsive to my queries, and have provided example code, when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was disappointed to discover that some of the File Format framework components, e.g. Word, does not support all the features of Microsoft Word, e.g. WordArt and SmartArt. Hopefully these will appear in a future release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Syncfusion for our Blazor project. So far we're very happy with the many available components.
Easy to use and understand. Support is responsive and good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For my taste, too many versions are coming up too fast. The documentation does not always follow those updates.
Documentation feels at times incomplete or shorthanded.
For example with the "SfPdfViewerServer" there is no mention that the annotations are not available on mobile devices. We had to find that out by going into the depths of the support forum. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rich collection of Controls. (We are using C# WinForms) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Limited coding samples for various controls. When trying a new control, navigating through their web site to find examples and API references is difficult. Some Controls runtime performance appears slow (Could be our implementation of the ComboBoxEx) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI interfaces items are beautiful and cover a wide range of functions in a consistent manner. The support team is very responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is very little information in the documentation on how to use the tag helpers in the context of Razor Pages or how to integrate tag helpers using both Razor Pages and controllers. I frequently need to reach out to the support team to find the information I need in the documentation. I think the documentation needs work structurally and in terms of completeness in a number of areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The supports and user friendliness of Syncfusion controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far none, would prefer it to be available in more platforms to allow us to reuse those user-friendly and easy-to-use controls for our development needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nice Ui, great functionality, very flexible and customizeable (after finding out how to achieve what you need). Excellent, responsive support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very tricky to impossible to find out whats wrong when a Syncfusion component throws an error.
Customization often difficult to find out how to achieve . Sometimes internal interfaces (not documented) are needed.
Different implementations for similar things between the components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Grid - quick way to display dataset with less code and able to edit, sort, filter, group etc. in a very short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some control behavior is different in browsers in touch screen devices compared to computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition comes as a web desktop version as well as mobile application version tool. The UI is flexible and the application overall is high performing. The support system replies back on time, solves the problems and is very responsive. It offers a wide range of features without looking bulky. There is also a Demo feature present that helps user to know all of the features of the application. The features on Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition can be implemented easily. It provides solutions which other applications don't and enhances productivity. The best feature for me is the toolkit. They offer samples to show the possible features. The interface is well designed and clean looking. It saves a large amount of time of the user doesn't hinder the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition there is a learning curve present for beginners. Updates come too quickly and once the user gets comfortable with one update another comes and it becomes very confusing to learn. There is need of an automated UI and documentation needs improvement. Most of the tools need to be modernized. The application is still lacking is some areas and needs improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Syncfusion Essential Studio (SES) is the Run Local Demos feature. It lets you interact with demo versions of Syncfusion's controls, pertinent to the programming platform selected during the installation of SES. It makes it easy to see what a control does and how much better it is than the more limited Microsoft version. For example, it took me a few minutes to decide that the SfRichTextBoxAdv control could solve all the problems that the RichTextBlock and RichEditBox controls could not. To access the feature, simply click Run Local Demos from the default screen, build the Samples app, and browse through the controls. It saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UWP documentation on the SfRichTextBoxAdv control does not state the command parameters for commands such as InsertRowCommand. This applies for both, the online and PDF versions. I found the answer in another Syncfusion programming platform, (WPF, I think), after doing a Google search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really appreciate the great variety of that toolkit. I'm using it for years now and I'm still amazed. At least for me, I do not need any other toolkit as the Essential Studio has all it needs and what is not available in .Net. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not a really dislike, but I feel a bit uncomfortable with the version policy. For my taste, too many versions are coming up too fast. The documentation does not always follow those updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not only does Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition offer all the components the developer needs, but it continues to enrich them with new version updates and rich feature additions. It is also an added bonus that it helps developers minimize the effort spent in building UI, and supports them with coding samples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing to dislike actually. However, it's quite hard to keep up with updates that are released so fast. That also requires the knowledgebase which contains a wealth of content to be updated simultaneously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The speed how they adding new Blazor controls and update theirs functionality.
I am using Blazor components. Searching for Blazor components I found that Syncfusion very fast adopted theirs controls for new development platform. Tech support is fast and excellent. The best of best is that they provide free controls for small business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Documentation is good. Bat probably could be more detailed with more examples. But if we take in consideration that first Blazor official release is about 3 months old, there is really nothing serious to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Xamarin forms controls that I have been using from Syncfusion have been very reliable and extremely robust. In every case that I had any issue, it has always been resolved quickly with very helpful examples if necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think that sometimes controls are released (maybe this is just on the Xamarin forms controls) without being fully tested. Several times, things that worked, stopped working and then took a trouble ticket to get it working again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Blazor wit some concerns. My concerns are explained in the next question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most of your tools needs modernizing with new Ideas. You carry over too many old stack software to the future, which prevents you to provide better ideas and better tools. Everything does not need to be the same. For example for Blazor, you could start from new with new ideas instead of trying to port all of your old stuff. This does not impress anyone any more these days. Many of the futures were buggy, because you just wanted to port the old things hoping that they will work in some time. Especially that Blazor is for C# developers and they have different interest and expectations than JavaScript developers. With just porting the your old stuff to blazor, you don't impress them too much. Especially performance and how good a software is designed. As soon as they get better opportunity , they will switch over to use other tools as they are more OOP based, and thinking ahead in this direction always that they may get something better somewhere else. So, they design and develop any software with this thinking (Like we also do) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
