The UI library is very complete, there are a lot of ready-to-use components available, with a lot of possible customizations. The licensing model and related team is close to unfair practice. Our company had a valid license, renewed each year with a notification mail from the Syncfusion team. One year, Syncfusion changed their licensing model and didn't notify us, then sent us an e-mail explaining that our license expired and left us no choice to accept a new license with 200% price increase. We use the chart controls in particular, which are extensivly integrated into our product. There is a great feature set and presentation, very good support when there are issue's and once you have reproduced it they're good at planning and communicating when it will be fixed. Unfortunatly there have been a signifigant number of issue's and a lot of time spent creating reproduction samples for support and/or finding work arounds which has proved costly and noticable to managment in pushing out our timelines. My hope is that over time as issue's are ironed out particularly on features we use and raise tickets on, that this situation will improve and we'll be more productive. I do think they do need more extensive automated e2e testing, particularly on how different features of a control interact with each other. Features tend to be ok in isolation, but break when combined or in the context of signifigant data, multiple series/axes etc. The documentation is reasonable but implementation of custom behaviours can be challenging, the api's don't always provide the flexibility you'd want, so ease of use can be challenging there. The controls are fairly easy to integrate though the download size of the js and css is fairly signifigant even using the 'custom resource generator' to only choose the components you use. Syncfusion is providing rich interactive form and chart UI controls that enable us to present and drill into data, providing reports and insights to our clients on their energy use, cost and CO2 emissions. Blazor wit some concerns.My concerns are explained in the next question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Essential Studio? Most of your tools needs modernizing with new Ideas. You carry over too many old stack software to the future, which prevents you to provide better ideas and better tools. Everything does not need to be the same. For example for Blazor, you could start from new with new ideas instead of trying to port all of your old stuff. This does not impress anyone any more these days. Many of the futures were buggy, because you just wanted to port the old things hoping that they will work in some time. Especially that Blazor is for C# developers and they have different interest and expectations than JavaScript developers. With just porting the your old stuff to blazor, you don't impress them too much. Especially performance and how good a software is designed. As soon as they get better opportunity , they will switch over to use other tools as they are more OOP based, and thinking ahead in this direction always that they may get something better somewhere else. So, they design and develop any software with this thinking (Like we also do) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Essential Studio: As I mentioned previously, we are at the moment just investigating your new Blazor tools at the moment, if it suits our needs and expectations. I am not able to to say anything about your other Syncfusion tools. For Blazor, until now it seems that you have too much in but all ported from old javascript versions. Therefore you have very heavy javascrip interops and real performance problems and too much bugs. I really lost too much time dealing with the bugs available in your Blazor tools and with your incorrect documentations. In addition to that you have no new new ideas and visions brought in, even you could use Blazor as an opportunity in this respect. Maybe and I hope this will be better in respect in the future. Just please bring fresh air to your products and don't carry over always everything from the one framework to another. It seems very messy at the End, especially for Blazor with C#, expectations should be different.
