## SurveyMonkey Reviews
 ### 1. Fast Idea-to-Live Surveys with Smart Logic Branching

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe C. | Lead Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What stands out most is how fast you can go from idea to live survey. The logic branching feature is genuinely useful, I can route respondents to different questions based on their answers, which keeps surveys short and relevant instead of making everyone answer everything. The response dashboard is also clean enough that I don't need to export to Excel just to get a basic read on the data.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The feature tier structure is probably my biggest pain point. Some fairly basic functionality, like removing the SurveyMonkey branding or accessing more detailed response data, sits behind higher-paid plans, which makes it hard to justify for occasional use. It would feel more fair if the free and entry-level tiers were a bit more generous, especially for smaller teams or individual users.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem it solves for me is getting structured feedback from a group without the chaos of email threads or informal back and forth. When I need a quick pulse check or want to gather input before a meeting, I can put something together in a few minutes and have responses coming in the same day. The biggest benefit is that it removes the friction of chasing people down, a clean survey link gets more responses than a follow-up email asking the same questions. It's not a complex tool for me, but it reliably does what I need without getting in the way.

 ### 2. Build with AI Makes Survey Creation Fast and Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chandra K. | Digital Operations & AI Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like most is the Build with AI feature. It makes creating a survey from scratch so much faster because I don't have to think of every single question myself. The mobile app is also very smooth for checking my results on the go.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

As a new user, I found the account linking process for Google and LinkedIn a bit glitchy. It took me a couple of tries and I still couldn't get it to connect perfectly. I also wish more of the advanced design features were available in the basic free plan.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey is helping me solve the problem of quickly gathering and organizing feedback from a group. As a new user, the AI builder benefited me by creating a professional survey in seconds, which saves me from manually writing questions. It makes the entire process of collecting data much more efficient for my work.

 ### 3. Easy Survey Setup with Smooth Logic and Powerful Results Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen G. | Strategic Communications Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I found Survey Monkey to be easier than expected to navigate. This was the first survey I had created in several years, and it included some complexities -- questions that applied to only a subset of respondents based on their answers to previous questions. This was not difficult to set up and worked smoothly with minimal angst. I also appreciated the options for "slicing and dicing" the results.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I would have liked to see the option to show numbers and well as percentages in charts. With a small number of responses to some questions, that would have provided a more realistic view of the results. In addition, it would be helpful to have a "test" mode, where someone other than an administrator could take the survey before it goes live. It's always helpful to have at least one other set of eyes, and I didn't find it easy to accomplish that.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey provided a way for me as a consultant subcontracting under a small agency to deliver a highly professional, well-designed survey for a reasonable cost.

 ### 4. SurveyMonkey’s Templates and Skip Logic Make Survey Creation Fast and Insightful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sagar K. | SEO Analyst, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like most about SurveyMonkey is how quickly I can take an idea and turn it into a well-structured survey, especially with the help of its practical templates. Features like skip logic and real-time responses save me hours every week because I no longer have to do as much manual sorting or send as many follow-ups. I also depend far less on Excel now, since the built-in reports are clear and organized enough for me to spot trends almost instantly.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One drawback of SurveyMonkey is that a lot of the most useful features—such as advanced logic and more detailed export options—are locked behind the higher-priced tiers. The free plan and the lower-level plans start to feel restrictive as soon as your surveys become even a little more complex, which can be frustrating when you need more flexibility.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me make decisions faster because responses are organized and visualized in real time, rather than being scattered across multiple sheets. The integrations with tools like Google Sheets and Slack also make it simple to feed responses into my existing workflow, so I don’t have to manually move data around or chase down updates.

 ### 5. SurveyMonkey Makes Survey Creation and Analysis Easy and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amarpreet S. | Team Lead (Recruitment), Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Best about SurveyMonkey is how easy and reliable it is for creating, distributing, and analyzing surveys in one place.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Many users feel that pricing is expensive and not very transparent, especially because many useful features are locked behind higher-tier plans or annual subscriptions.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaces slow, manual ways of gathering opinions (like emails, spreadsheets, or informal conversations) with a centralized survey system where you can quickly create surveys, send them to many people, and automatically collect responses in one place.
Saves time: You can launch surveys quickly and get results without manual follow-ups or data entry.
Better decisions: Feedback is structured and clear, so you can make decisions based on real data instead of assumptions.
asier analysis: Built-in dashboards and reports help you instantly understand patterns in responses.
Improved reach: You can collect feedback from a large audience efficiently, whether customers, employees, or users.

 ### 6. Easy Survey Creation with Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SivaGanga K. | IT Product Support Analyst , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I enjoy using SurveyMonkey because it's super easy to create surveys quickly. The simple interface is very user-friendly, allowing even those without technical knowledge to navigate it with ease. I love the ready-to-use templates; they save a lot of time and make the survey creation process smoother. I appreciate the variety of question types and the ability to customize surveys based on the feedback I want to collect. The built-in analytics feature is particularly valuable as it automatically converts responses into charts and summaries, making it effortless to analyze results without needing extra tools. Overall, it's a reliable platform for collecting feedback from customers, employees, or users.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One area that could be improved in SurveyMonkey is the limitation in the free version. Some useful features like advanced analytics, logic options, and exporting full results are only available in the paid plans, which can be a bit restrictive for small users. Another thing is customization. While the survey builder is easy to use, sometimes the design and layout customization options feel a little limited if someone wants more control over the appearance of the survey. Also, when surveys receive a large number of responses, managing and filtering the data could be made a bit more flexible.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey for creating quick surveys, using templates saves time. Its simple interface is easy even for non-technical users. Built-in analytics turns responses into charts, making analysis simple. It's great for gathering opinions and feedback efficiently.

 ### 7. Easy to Build Professional Surveys with Advanced Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zawadi K. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey stands out because it balances ease of use with fairly advanced capabilities. It lets you go from a blank page to a structured, professional survey in minutes, while still giving you access to deeper analytics when required or needed.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Despite being widely used, it has a few consistent drawbacks that keep coming up. First, the pricing can feel restrictive, especially since the free plan is very limited. Second, customization options are somewhat limited. Third, there are also limitations around data access and exporting.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before SurveyMonkey, I had a lot of challenges with data collection and decision intelligence—especially around gathering structured feedback at scale and turning it into actionable insight without heavy technical overhead.
We struggled a lot with Time and cost building and Survey Monkey offers a ready to use Saas Platform and eliminates need for backend development.

 ### 8. Easy to use and reliable for quick survey

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noelia M. | HR Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that it is very easy to create surveys and share them with participants. The platform is user-friendly, and I don’t need technical skills to design questions or analyze responses. It helps me get feedback fast and in an organized way.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Some of the more advanced features are only available in higher-priced plans, which can be limiting for small teams or individual users. Sometimes the integration with other tools is not as smooth as expected, and the customization options for design could be more flexible.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps me collect feedback quickly and in an organized way. It makes it easy to reach many people at once, analyze results without extra tools, and share insights with my team. This saves time, improves decision-making, and helps us understand opinions and needs more clear.

 ### 9. SurveyMonkey’s Built-In Analytics Turn Responses Into Clear Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MANOJ M. | Performance Analysis Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The most helpful aspect of SurveyMonkey is its ability to turn responses into clear insights through built-in analytics and reports. It allows users to easily track responses, analyze trends, and visualize data using charts and summaries. The platform also supports different survey formats and distribution options, which makes it convenient for collecting feedback from customers, employees, or research participants. Customer Support is very good.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One downside of SurveyMonkey is that some advanced features and detailed analytics are only available in the paid plans. In the free version, there are limitations on the number of questions and responses you can view, which can restrict more complex surveys. Additionally, customization options for survey design could be more flexible in certain cases.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves the challenge of efficiently collecting and analyzing feedback from a large group of people. Instead of manually gathering opinions or responses, the platform allows users to quickly create surveys, distribute them to different audiences, and automatically collect responses in one place. This helps save time and ensures that feedback is organized and easy to analyze. For me, it is beneficial because it provides clear insights through reports and visualizations, making it easier to understand trends and make informed decisions based on real data.

 ### 10. Intuitive Survey Builder with Powerful Reports, AI Prompts, and Top-Notch Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sayak H. | DC Consultant, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the extensive library of presentation-ready custom reports, automated dashboards, and crosstabs is impressive. I especially appreciate the options for setting up complex branching or skip logic, along with the ability to apply customized themes—those features are genuine value-adds. I also like the AI implementation that can generate custom surveys from a text prompt. On top of that, their support team is consistently helpful and maintains a very high standard.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I feel they really should work on the UI elements, which look a bit outdated. The pricing also seems a bit on the higher side, especially for small businesses.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product supports my day-to-day data collection and makes it much easier to streamline and keep that information organized. It also gives me a reliable foundation for building genuinely complex forms, which I use to capture user responses across a range of tasks and workflows. Even when those forms include complex logic, the product’s performance is phenomenal.

 ### 11. Appealing UI and Survey Templates That Make Getting Started Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melvin G. | Technical Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The software has a very appealing UI, and the elements feel thoughtfully placed with the user experience in mind. It also offers a wide range of survey templates, which helped me get started and gave me something to refer back to whenever I wasn’t sure how to begin.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Although I like most of the software, one area I really wish they would improve is exporting. Getting data into specific formats can take a few too many steps at times, and that ends up slowing down our workflow.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us conduct surveys to gather customer opinions and feedback on specific feature releases, as well as identify areas where we can improve. I also use surveys to better understand what our customers think and feel about our publications. We then use those opinions and insights to improve our process and refine our publications based on the feedback we receive.

 ### 12. Simple, Seamless Surveys for Quick Feedback Collection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinoth Kumar K. | Manager - People Function, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMoney is simple and easy to use practise. The UI/UX part is easy to navigate and it helps with time management. The integrations are easy and helpful to make things easier which helps to do the job without switching between different applications. The performance is reliable and works seamlessly with more responses. The onboarding is straightforward and the experience is exceptional and the support is decent whenever required. The pricing is worth it for the support and value they provide. It helps and save time and effort which directly adds to productivity. The AI features are a good addition that help in structuring better surveys, quick insights makes decision easier.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The main challenge is the pricing that it gets expensive when we need more features and many important options are behind paywalls. Customization is limited for branding and survey designs. The deeper insights are limited for reporting works. Overall it does the job but flexibility and pricing needs to be improved.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMoney helps in collecting feedback in a systemized and efficient way instead of manual options. It helps to create surveys and share it to multiple people, gather responses in a single platform which helps in reducing the follow ups. It helps to keep things organized and gives quick insights that helps in proper decision making.

 ### 13. Effortless Survey Building and Reliable Insights with SurveyMonkey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I value most about SurveyMonkey is how effortlessly it turns a rough idea into something concrete. The interface feels straightforward without being overly simplistic, and building surveys is quick even when they include more detailed logic. You don’t need to spend much time figuring things out before getting started.
Its integrations fit well into existing workflows, especially when results need to be shared or analysed alongside other tools. Performance has also been consistent in my experience: surveys load smoothly and responses come in without noticeable delays, even with larger volumes of data.
From a pricing and ROI standpoint, it’s not the cheapest solution on the market, but it pays off if surveys are used regularly and insights lead to real actions. Onboarding is easy, and most features are self‑explanatory, so support is rarely needed. When it is, the available guides are clear enough.
The AI‑driven suggestions and analysis features are a nice addition. They don’t replace human judgement, but they do help speed up survey design and make sense of results with less manual effort.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like least about SurveyMonkey is the pricing, which can feel restrictive when you only need a few advanced features. Some genuinely useful options are locked behind higher-tier plans, and that can be limiting if you’re only using it occasionally. Aside from that, the tool works well overall once you accept those boundaries.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps me turn feedback into structured, usable data with very little effort. It’s straightforward to collect opinions, measure satisfaction, and support decisions with real input rather than assumptions. For me, the biggest benefit is how quickly I can get clear insights without having to spend much time on setup or manual analysis.

 ### 14. Easy to Use With Good Data Interpretation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amey B. | FA Engineer, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It’s easy to use and offers excellent data interpretation. I like that I can ask different types of questions depending on what I need. I haven’t tried the integration or the AI feature yet, but so far the overall experience has been very positive.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

You only get 10 questions for free. After that, the pricing seems a bit expensive. I also have concerns (in general) about security, the cloud setup, and overall data privacy.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven’t used it for any of my businesses yet, but I have helped some non-profit organizations create surveys with it. So far, it’s been easy to use and a real time-saver for getting things done. That said, the free 10-question limit has also caused some problems for us.

 ### 15. Easy to Navigate, Built-In Templates Make Survey Creation Fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica T. | Human Resources Generalist / Payroll Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The system is easy to navigate and the built in templates allow for faster and easier creation of surveys.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I don't like that the surveys are not as easily sent out to everyone. For example, the majority of the employees at my company work in the field and it would be easiest to text them the link for the survey. However, to be able to do this through SurveyMonkey would cost the company over $14000 per month, which is ridiculous.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to use SurveyMonkey to hear from our employees, but we have not been able to reach all of our employees due to the inability to text the survey link direclty from the system.

 ### 16. SurveyMonkey Makes Creating and Analyzing Surveys Fast and Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiwari S. | Systems Integration Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like most about SurveyMonkey is how simple it makes creating, sharing, and analyzing surveys, even without technical expertise. The wide range of ready-made templates and question types helps you get started quickly, while still giving enough flexibility to customize surveys for specific needs. The reporting and analytics are clear and practical too, making it easy to turn responses into actionable insights—whether you’re gathering customer feedback, running research, or measuring satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

What I don’t like about SurveyMonkey is that many advanced features—such as deeper analytics, logic controls, and export options—are locked behind higher-priced plans. Because of this, the free and lower-tier versions can feel quite limiting if you need more detailed insights. Also, while the interface is easy to use, the design and branding customization options are fairly limited, which can be a downside for teams that want surveys to look more tailored or visually distinctive.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves the problem of collecting structured feedback quickly and at scale. Instead of relying on informal feedback or manual data gathering, it provides a reliable way to design surveys, reach the right audience, and analyze responses efficiently. For me, that means saving time, improving data quality and consistency, and turning feedback into clear, actionable insights. It’s especially helpful for understanding customer sentiment, measuring performance, and validating ideas with real input rather than assumptions.

 ### 17. Survey Monkey Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vibhor J. | Lead Support, Medical Devices, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

1. The UI is very friendly, and I can create surveys quickly without needing technical skills.
2. It automatically displays charts, graphs, and filters, and it supports exports (Excel, PDF, CSV), which makes the analysis process simple.
3. It also enables smooth collaboration across different platforms (Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Sheets), which makes the overall workflow even more productive.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

1. The trial plan comes with a limited number of questions, responses, and advanced features, so it’s better to choose a paid plan if you want to get the most out of it.
2. Priority or live support is mostly reserved for higher-tier subscribers. If you’re on a lower-level or free plan, don’t expect the same level of support.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to work on different projects in my organization, and as we all know, it’s important to take the opinion of every member involved. In such cases, a simple survey comes in handy. I create a survey and share it with my project team. Once I receive the responses, I analyze them and share the results with upper management so they can make further decisions.

 ### 18. Inclusive Surveys Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kim g. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I have used SurveyMonkey to take surveys in my office for gauging what may be working or not and for voting on where and when to have happy hour events. SurveyMonkey makes it possible to be inclusive with all of our staff's wants and needs while including those who work in-office and remote. I love that it breaks down analytics and makes it easy to get everyone involved. It was incredibly helpful in determining what was most valuable to our team and understanding what percentages were wanting or not wanting change. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I wish that there were more features to sort questions. It would be better if SurveyMonkey could suggest question types based on the information you need.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps include both in-office and remote staff in decision-making. It breaks down analytics to identify team priorities and preferences, making it easy to get everyone involved.

 ### 19. Affordable and Accessible, But Needs Real-Time Notifications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey is affordable, accessible, and easy to use. It's easy to navigate, even for someone like me who hadn't used it before, making it simple to set up and create a prescreening survey. I really appreciate how easy it is for participants to just click a link on various platforms, making it accessible for recruitment. Additionally, it is cheaper than other services like Zoom that I use, which costs around $30 to $35 a month, while SurveyMonkey is under $20, which is a big help for my dissertation expenses.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey takes too long to send notifications. I got no notifications letting me know that someone filled out my prescreening survey. I prefer real-time notifications, but I get an email the day after, which is too late for me. It feels more like an annoyance because, by the time I receive the email, I've already learned about the response another way. I often have to check the app myself to see if anyone has responded because I know it won't notify me immediately. Also, there's no student discount, and I feel like I'm paying too much without any reduction for being a student.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey allows me to easily access potential participants for my dissertation recruitment by sharing a link, enabling effortless data collection without direct outreach.

 ### 20. Intuitive Survey Building with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee K. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I find the functionality of SurveyMonkey to be very good. The building of the survey is intuitive, which is probably my favorite feature of the software. Additionally, it allows me to create some reasonably complicated logic during the survey-building process. The export function and analyze function are really helpful as they allow me to confirm that the results match the responses I've received. I also like how easy it is to create unique links to track where people are coming from when they fill out the survey.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I was disappointed that I couldn't use the advanced logic to build a question that then would route. It was an advanced routing logic, and that wasn't available with the standard plan. And I think it should be.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to build surveys with complicated logic, export results, and analyze them easily. It helps confirm responses match results, and creating unique links to track respondent sources is straightforward.

 ### 21. Effortless Surveys with Outstanding Usability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon R. | Agency Resource Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I appreciate SurveyMonkey because it allows us to easily create surveys and access a lot of data, which is especially helpful given that our United Way office is small and doesn't have many staff members to handle survey creation. The platform does a lot of the hard work for us. I also find it incredibly easy to pull in constituents in a secure and private manner while reaching a broad audience simultaneously. The initial setup was extremely easy, and if a colleague or friend were to ask me what they should use, SurveyMonkey would be at the top of the list.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I can't think of anything that comes to mind I don't like about Survey Monkey.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey allows us to efficiently collect secure, private data from many people at once. It simplifies survey creation, especially important for our small team with limited staff.

 ### 22. Efficient Survey Creation with Powerful Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey solves the problem of having to go around to each person and get their feedback. It compiles data into one place efficiently. I appreciate that it gives the answers in concise and easy-to-read reports. I like that I can create a survey in AI and dump it right into SurveyMonkey, which saves me tremendous time. The variety of options for answers and making answers required or not is really useful. The setup process was very easy. I also prefer using SurveyMonkey over Microsoft Forms because it better meets my needs.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

In Microsoft forms, I can insert pictures into the survey. I'm not sure if SurveyMonkey allows that, but it is helpful sometimes. Being able to insert pictures into questions, for example, if you are sending a survey out for employees to choose a variety of sweatshirts as a reward, it is helpful to put a picture of the sweatshirt next to the questions.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves the issue of collecting feedback manually by compiling data in one place and provides easy-to-read reports. Creating surveys in AI saves time, and SurveyMonkey seamlessly accepts the format.

 ### 23. Customizable and Efficient, But Pricing Needs Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle B. | Director of Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like the ability to customize our surveys and the conditional settings, which allow me to tailor surveys to the responder while respecting their time. The ability to pull reports makes my survey processes far more actionable, giving me the flexibility I need to create surveys that completely fit my needs. Additionally, the initial setup of SurveyMonkey was extremely easy and efficient for us.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The pricing model can be less than ideal and there are severe limitations on access depending on what plan you have. We have a business plan and are limited in who can access the survey or view the reporting in live time. I'd like to see a more cost efficient package option for teams. I would also like to see it be more collaborative.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to gather feedback effectively, tailoring surveys to meet specific needs and respecting respondent time with conditional settings. It provides actionable insights through its reporting features, enhancing our understanding of what's working.

 ### 24. Effortlessly Customizable with Powerful Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Massimo M. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like most of the fact that SurveyMonkey is very easy to use. It's very easy to design a survey and get a link for the survey to share across email or text or whatever other channel. I also like its analytical capabilities a lot; the reports it provides once the answers from the survey participants are in are very helpful. The design features help me develop a survey in a very short period of time, and they give me the option of setting up the questions and the answers in the format that works best. The analytical capabilities really help me understand the overall level of satisfaction, as well as the details from comments provided by participants, helping me understand what went well and what needs to be changed. The initial setup was extremely straightforward—very easy, very simple, got up and running in a matter of minutes. Really fantastic.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I've tried to use the integration of SurveyMonkey into Excel or Word. But I haven't been hugely successful. So that's probably something that needs to improve, and I need to understand better how that works.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to tailor training content to participants' needs and industry, and afterward, it helps me understand what went well and what needs improvement, enhancing future trainings.

 ### 25. Fast, Polished Surveys with Time-Saving Templates and Real-Time Responses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn R. | Business Analyst, Mystery Shopper, Hospitality Surveyor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey helps me quickly create clean, ready-to-send questionnaires. The drag-and-drop editor makes it simple to customize questions, and the templates save me a lot of time. Sharing surveys by email or link is reliable, and seeing responses come in real time is both convenient and impressive.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

For sales teams, the platform can feel pricey for ongoing use, especially with limits on responses and many advanced features locked behind higher tiers. Some CRM integrations also come across as clunky, and setting up more complex logic can be a bit fiddly. Reporting exports could be more flexible as well, so it’s easier to pull the data into a dashboard quickly.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helped my business boost retention and satisfaction by surfacing clear customer feedback. We measure renewal intent, space needs, and service gaps, then tailor our offerings and responses with our team. The result: faster issue resolution, targeted improvements, and a better, more personalized client experience.

I think the ease of use for Survey Monkey is the most impactful factor. It's simple to set up, simple to send, and more importantly simple to fill out for those it's sent to. It can be integrated into emails so easily it makes it's use incredible. The prices is so worth it, especially in terms of the feedback we get when we use it.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Sometimes I do struggle with finding support on some of the features, but the team at Survey Monkey is helpful.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Feedback is essential for marketing and Survey Monkey solves this problem for us in a way no other application has so far.

 ### 28. Effortless Surveys, Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adit C. | Graduate Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I mostly use SurveyMonkey for creating and keeping records of events happening in my organization. I like the data organized, and SurveyMonkey has a feature that allows showing data based on the selected questions or categories. It's easy to use and is easily understood, even by non-technical users. SurveyMonkey is built so users can move from idea to finished survey without needing training. The interface is clean, the steps are clearly separated, and nothing feels hidden behind complex menus. I connect SurveyMonkey with Excel for deeper filtering, pivot tables, and custom charts, and it is very easy to connect. The initial setup was very quick because the platform is designed to get new users from sign-up to the first survey with almost no friction. I would call the setup smooth, intuitive, and surprisingly fast.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

You can't fully control layout, fonts, spacing, or visual designs. Connecting the branches of the questions can be tedious for some people.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey organizes data based on selected questions, which I like. It’s user-friendly, even non-technical users can create surveys easily without understanding complex formats.

 ### 29. A reliable, low-friction survey tool I return to regularly for structured feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarun K. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I appreciate most about SurveyMonkey, even on the Basic / Free plan, is how intentionally it is designed around the core act of creating and distributing surveys without unnecessary friction. When I log in, I’m not overwhelmed by configuration decisions or setup steps. The platform makes it immediately clear where to start, whether that’s creating a survey from scratch or using a pre-built structure as a foundation. This clarity matters because surveys are often created under time pressure, when the priority is collecting responses quickly rather than learning a complex tool.

Ease of use is one of SurveyMonkey’s strongest points. The interface feels mature and predictable, which means I don’t have to re-learn workflows each time I come back to it. Question creation, answer options and basic logic are presented in a straightforward way that allows me to focus on the wording and intent of the questions rather than the mechanics of the tool. Even when switching between different survey types, the experience stays consistent, which reduces cognitive overhead and speeds up the overall process.

I also find myself returning to SurveyMonkey frequently because it handles the full lifecycle of a simple survey in one place. From building questions, to sharing the survey link, to reviewing incoming responses, everything flows logically. For basic use cases, I don’t need to integrate additional tools or export data immediately to feel productive. I can check responses directly in the platform, get a quick sense of participation and identify trends without extra setup.

Another strength is how stable and dependable the platform feels. Surveys load reliably, links work consistently and respondents don’t encounter confusing interfaces on their end. This reliability is important when surveys are shared with external participants, because responses need to be collected consistently without technical issues. I don’t have to worry about whether a respondent will struggle to complete a survey or abandon it due to usability issues, which helps improve response rates and overall data quality.

The free plan’s feature set is limited, but it is clearly defined. That transparency actually makes the product easier to use because I know what to expect. I can design surveys, collect responses and review results without constantly running into unclear boundaries. For straightforward survey needs, the available features are sufficient and the platform does not feel artificially complicated just to push upgrades. SurveyMonkey’s help resources and customer support have been helpful whenever I’ve needed clarification on features or plan limits, making it easy to resolve questions quickly and continue working without interrupting my workflow

Overall, SurveyMonkey fits naturally into my workflow as a tool I can rely on whenever structured feedback or data collection is needed. It doesn’t demand constant attention, customization, or maintenance. Instead, it provides a clean, efficient environment where I can create surveys quickly, distribute them confidently and review responses without friction. That consistency is what keeps me coming back to it over time.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The main limitation I notice on the Basic plan is how quickly you can reach feature constraints once your needs go beyond simple surveys. Advanced question logic, deeper analytics and more detailed reporting are clearly reserved for paid plans. While this is understandable, it can feel restrictive when you want to explore results in more depth or customize the survey experience further.

Response viewing and export options are also limited on the free tier. When working with larger response sets, it can be harder to slice the data in meaningful ways directly within the platform. This means that for more analytical or long-term projects, upgrading becomes necessary sooner rather than later.

That said, these drawbacks are more about scope than usability. The platform works well within its intended boundaries, but those boundaries are something to be aware of if survey complexity grows over time.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves the problem of collecting structured feedback in a fast, organized and repeatable way. Instead of relying on unstructured emails, messages, or ad-hoc forms, it gives me a centralized place to design surveys that are easy for respondents to complete and easy for me to manage. The biggest benefit is time efficiency. I can go from idea to live survey very quickly, which is especially useful when feedback is needed on short notice. Because the platform handles distribution and response collection smoothly, I can focus on interpreting the feedback rather than managing the logistics of gathering it. SurveyMonkey also reduces friction on the respondent side. Surveys are simple to access, intuitive to complete and don’t require extra steps or accounts. This helps improve participation and ensures that the feedback I receive is more representative and useful.

In practice, SurveyMonkey acts as a dependable utility rather than a complex system. It supports recurring survey needs without demanding ongoing setup or customization, which makes it easy to integrate into regular workflows whenever structured input is required. For basic survey use cases, it provides exactly what’s needed: clarity, reliability and speed.

 ### 30. Effortless Surveys, Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like the interface of SurveyMonkey, and I'm used to it now. It suits my needs just fine, and I find it seamless with no surprises. I like the fact that I can easily import the data into an Excel spreadsheet. Also, I can customize the interface, adding the Ottawa U logo, which makes it look sleeker and more professional. I was able to use SurveyMonkey without having to read any instructions, which says a lot about how well the interface is laid out. The initial setup was quite easy; I didn't read the instructions and was up and going in no time.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I sort of had a problem finding under which icon or link I could find the results under at the beginning.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to conduct surveys in my classes and compile results to produce statistics. It allows me to easily import data into Excel, and the seamless interface suits my needs.

 ### 31. Effortless Survey Creation with SurveyMonkey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marisa R. | Administrative Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I love that I can duplicate surveys because I use that feature very often for job functions that I have to do monthly or annually. I just duplicate surveys that I used in previous years and edit them. I also really like the feature where you can prepare your questions ahead of time and just copy and paste them, and SurveyMonkey takes it and turns it into a functional survey for you. It also provides the suggested formats for different questions based on the type of question that I typed out and provided. The initial setup of SurveyMonkey was very easy, so easy that I don't even remember it.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I guess, it would be really nice to get an automated email. We already receive automated emails to notify my when I have a response, but I have to log in to see the submission details. It would be really nice if I could a quick preview of the questions that were answered in the automated email that I received, so that I do not have to take the time to log in to the program and check the results.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to get quick feedback and compile important information easily. It helps me measure things I would find difficult otherwise. I love exporting the survey responses, because it provides me with a formatted report that I can filter and build off of.

 ### 32. Easy Survey Creation with Templates and Great Results Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave E. | Freelance Writer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It's pretty easy to create surveys. You can mostly walk your way through it and it also has prompts to provide you with some guidance and best practices. Recent improvements have made it even easier to use with templates and better results reporting. It even creates graphs for presentations when it comes time to report on your survey results.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Knowing which features we can access with our chosen plan. They are shown on the dashboard but when you click on them is says only available with an updated plan.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an easy way for us to collect feedback on proposed route changes. Nobody wants to come to an in-person meeting and it's even getting hard to have a virtual meeting to collect feedback. Putting a survey link online and sending out emails and posting to social media is a low-cost but effective way to solicit feedback upon which we make important service decisions.

 ### 33. Easy-to-Use Online Surveys with Terrific Personalized Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Ease of use online and terrific personalized communication with quick turnaround responses in personal emails. This was the first ever questionnaire I create online and I thought the tutorials made this very easy to do and manage.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Some things were not as easy to view in the app. I could easily see the latest survey counts, but beyond that it was very limited. I am an Android user.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a doctoral dissertation student and the data I was trying to collect on my own using my own contacts, social media ads, and posting in groups was inadequate. SurveyMonkey allowed me to move the data collection process to a conclusion in a month. After hearing other doctoral students complaints with not enough data 6 months later, I am thrilled and convinced that alone should save me the expense of one semester of school tuition.

 ### 34. Intuitive Survey Building with Actionable Analytics, but archaic multilingual

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** michaela c. | Customer Success Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The interface is quite easy to navigate and intuitive even to a new user. Survey building function is efficient and question library provides sufficient selection. Question branching works well. Visuals in analytics tool are quite nice and actionable. I appreciate availability to save graphs and tables in PDF as well as PNG- easy to use in the presentation. I recently tested multi survey analysis and while its nice for easy metrics like NPS and CSAT.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The app tends to bug out quite a bit. We had major issues with multilingual collector and support took forever to answer and when they did they pointed us to generic KB, which of course didnt solve anything. I think the app could be way more effective if they worked with real users and listened to their suggestions. I find the way translations are done in Survey Monkey very outdated and ineffective especially if you work with a lot of languages. This goes for survey itself as well as collectors.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have detailed insights into customer satisfaction and metrics.

 ### 35. SurveyMonkey Makes Creating, Managing, and Exporting Surveys Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabelle M. | Business Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Survey Monkey is great. It allows us to easily create and manage surveys and responses, both internally and externally. We can also export the responses afterward without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The mobile survey-taking experience isn’t always smooth.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey offers a straightforward way to gather both internal staff feedback and external responses in a single platform. It reduces the need for manual data collection by centralising responses and including basic, ready-to-use reporting. This saves time when running recurring feedback cycles as well as one-off initiatives, and it also makes it easier to share results with stakeholders without needing extra processing.

 ### 36. SurveyMonkey: A reliable tool for a professor's job

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sinjini M. | Associate Professor of Information Systems and Decision Sciences, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey has been very useful for my research over the past several years. It has an interface that is very user-friendly and easy to use. This helps me in creating surveys on a wide range of topics across disciplines and collect data via an efficient distribution process. The platform offers resources and templates that can be customized for different population sub-groups based on the application (for example, research purposes, teaching purposes, assessment, and so on). The other feature that I find extremely helpful for my work is that I can obtain the analysis and results very quickly and it consists of tabular and graphical summaries of the data that provide actionable insights and interpretation. Further, the integration with Excel makes transition of the data to other software platforms seamless that facilitates analytics. SurveyMonkey has thus proved to be an efficient tool for informed decision-making in the current data-driven world.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Nothing much really except for the fact that some improvement in the appearance and addition of more interactive components can make the SurveyMonkey platform more attractive to a wider range of users. In particular, the "free" version can be be improved significantly to attract first-time users, especially students and smaller organizations.

Uploaded a screenshot as I was able to log in to the account.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey assists me in gathering data through surveys, which I utilize for teaching, research, and service activities that are integral to my job.

 ### 37. Simple Yet Powerful Analytics With Time-Saving AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos M. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like how it balances simplicity with deep analytical power. The AI integration—whether I’m building surveys or summarizing open-ended responses—saves me hours of manual work, and the advanced logic features make it possible to create highly personalized experiences for respondents.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The pricing structure feels quite steep, and the free plan is far too restrictive for any real professional use. I also don’t like the automatic overage charges for additional responses, and it’s frustrating that deeper branding customization is locked behind the highest-priced tiers.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps remove the bottleneck in qualitative data analysis. Rather than manually sorting through thousands of comments, I can rely on instant AI insights and automated workflows, which enable our team to respond to customer feedback in real time. This has noticeably improved our agility and overall customer satisfaction.

 ### 38. User-Friendly Survey Tool with Excellent Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemant Pratap S. | Sr. Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like SurveyMonkey primarily for its ease of use when creating and distributing surveys to gather feedback. The ready-made templates save me a lot of time, as they align well with use cases like feedback and customer satisfaction. I find the interface very intuitive, making it easy to create, edit, and share surveys without needing any training. The real-time analytics and visual reports make it simple to understand responses without extra effort, allowing me to take action quickly instead of waiting for manual reports. It's reliable, quick to set up, and doesn’t require any technical expertise to get meaningful insights. The integration with ServiceNow is seamless and helps trigger surveys directly from service workflows, ensuring timely and relevant feedback collection.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

While SurveyMonkey works well overall, the pricing can feel a bit high, especially when some useful features are locked behind higher-tier plans. Customization options—especially for design and branding—could be more flexible. Also, the reporting is good but having more advanced analytics for deeper insights without exporting data would make it even better.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to gather feedback from teams and clients, solving the challenge of structured data collection. It simplifies analysis and reporting, saving time and supporting better decision-making with clear insights.

 ### 39. Efficient, Compliant Surveys with Some Integration Hurdles

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamara N. | Head of Quality & Compliance , Food Production, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I appreciate SurveyMonkey for its simplicity, reliability, and strict GDPR compliance, which are crucial for our work in organic food production and quality compliance in Germany. The prebuilt template library is a huge time-saver, allowing us to quickly create consistent surveys for quality checks, supplier audits, and customer feedback without needing to start from scratch. I love the customizable but straightforward logic and branching, which makes our compliance workflows more efficient by tailoring questions based on previous answers. The analytics and reporting features make it easy to spot trends in product quality, production safety, or customer satisfaction, enabling quick action to address issues. The initial setup was straightforward and intuitive, allowing us to create user accounts and build our first surveys within hours, without the need for specialized IT support.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The built-in template options for food safety, organic certification, and supplier audits are limited, so we still must build many compliance-focused surveys from scratch. The offline response functionality is weak—our production and warehouse staff often work in areas with poor internet, and unfinished responses sometimes fail to sync properly. We’d also like more granular export and formatting controls for audit documentation; currently we spend extra time adjusting reports to meet German certification standards. Additionally, some advanced logic rules can be slow to apply in longer compliance surveys, and integration with our internal quality management system requires manual workarounds rather than native connections.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to standardize feedback collection, replacing paper forms with GDPR-compliant digital surveys, which prevents data loss. It helps catch quality risks in production early and streamlines customer feedback to enhance products. The platform saves us time and ensures compliance with German food safety standards.

 ### 40. Complete and Reliable Platform for Job Applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T J. | Ingeniero de Proyectos, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I think SurveyMonkey is a very comprehensive and professional platform. The part I love is that you can track your experience even after having previously completed a survey. I also really like how you can share past experiences and achievements, which is useful for future applications. Additionally, I find the setup of SurveyMonkey quite intuitive and well-explained, with many tools to provide guidelines on the experience you want to record. It is extremely practical and reliable in resolving responses and verification to prevent plagiarism.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I believe that the ratings in some cases are not the most appropriate or expected, and they do not get updated over time. Once you register with a user, the experience remains permanent and does not reflect improvements. It may also be necessary to change users to apply for a new vacancy.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that SurveyMonkey is extremely practical and reliable in resolving responses, ensuring there is no plagiarism and allowing activities to be answered on time and in the correct manner.

 ### 41. SurveyMonkey Makes Creating Surveys and Analyzing Results Fast and Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grishma G. | Visitor and Facilities Stewards , Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like best about SurveyMonkey is how easy it is to go from idea to usable data without needing much technical skill. The interface is intuitive, so you can quickly build surveys using templates or customize your own with different question types.

Another big strength is its built-in analytics—it automatically summarizes responses with charts and insights, which saves a lot of time compared to manually analyzing data. It also integrates well with other tools, making it practical for both small projects and more professional use.

Overall, it strikes a good balance between simplicity and powerful features, which is why it’s popular for everything from quick feedback forms to more structured research.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One downside of SurveyMonkey is that many of its most useful features are locked behind paid plans. Things like advanced logic, detailed analytics, and even viewing full response data can be quite limited on the free tier, which can feel restrictive.

Another issue is pricing—it can get expensive compared to some alternatives, especially if you only need it for occasional use. For individuals or small teams, the cost doesn’t always feel justified.

Some users also find the customization options a bit limiting. While it’s easy to use, that simplicity can come at the expense of flexibility if you want highly tailored survey designs or more complex workflows.

Lastly, exporting and managing data can sometimes feel clunky, particularly when dealing with larger datasets or trying to integrate results into other tools.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey is mainly solving the problem of **collecting, understanding, and acting on feedback at scale**—something that’s traditionally slow, expensive, and messy.

Here’s how that translates into real benefits:

**1. Turning opinions into usable data**
Instead of guessing what people think, it lets you quickly gather structured feedback from customers, employees, or users. This helps you make decisions based on real data rather than assumptions. ([Wikipedia][1])

**Benefit to you:** You can make more confident decisions (e.g., improving a product, service, or experience) without relying on guesswork.

---

**2. Saving time and cost on research**
Traditional research methods (like focus groups or manual interviews) take a lot of time and money. SurveyMonkey simplifies this by letting you create surveys, distribute them, and analyze results in one place.

**Benefit to you:** You get insights much faster and cheaper, which is especially useful for quick projects or tight deadlines.

---

**3. Reducing the risk of bad decisions**
By collecting feedback early—like during product development—you can test ideas before fully committing. Research shows gathering user insights early helps avoid costly mistakes later. ([surveymonkey.com][2])

**Benefit to you:** You can catch issues early and avoid investing time or money into ideas that won’t work.

---

**4. Understanding your audience better**
It helps identify customer needs, preferences, and pain points through surveys, segmentation, and feedback analysis.

**Benefit to you:** You can tailor your approach (marketing, products, or services) to what people actually want, not what you assume they want.

---

**5. Measuring performance and satisfaction**
You can track things like customer satisfaction, brand perception, or employee engagement over time. ([surveymonkey.com][3])

**Benefit to you:** You can see what’s working, what’s not, and where to improve—making progress more measurable.

---

**In short:**
SurveyMonkey solves the problem of **“I need reliable feedback, fast”**, and benefits you by helping you **make smarter decisions, reduce risk, and save time**.

 ### 42. Costly with Limited Features for Small Groups

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey allows for multiple options when creating survey questions, such as multiple choice and long-form answers. It made our survey more complete in what we were looking for to receive input from our members.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I didn't like the limitations and cost of needing a subscription. The price seemed exorbitant for having more than 10 questions and more than 25 responses. For small businesses or groups, this cost is much too high to continue using. Plus, when the subscriptions ended, I lost access to the additional responses I paid to receive through our timeframe. I understand why but think that once the subscription was paid, the user should keep the access to the information gained during that subscription period.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves having a central location for both taking the survey and gathering all responses.

 ### 43. User-Friendly Surveys and Reporting, But Advanced Customization Feels Limited

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | Help Desk, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like best about SurveyMonkey is how simple and user-friendly it is for creating surveys and collecting feedback. I also like the variety of templates and reporting tools, which make it easy to analyze responses and organize data efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One thing I dislike about SurveyMonkey is that some useful features are limited to paid plans, which
can make the free version feel restrictive. I've also found that customizing surveys beyond the basic
options can sometimes be a little difficult.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps solve the problem of collecting feedback and organizing responses in an efficient way. It benefits me by making it easier to gather opinions, analyze data quickly, and make more informed decisions for projects, assignments, and team activities.

 ### 44. Easiest way to access information on various softwares or products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson R. | Legal Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like best about Survey Monkey is that you are able to find what other users think of basically any product or service that exists. It allows me to browse what options I have and pick the one that I think is best for me based off of the reviews others have shared.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to wade through all of the options, as there can be an overwhelming amount to choose from.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching a group of people with questions we'd like to see answers to. It allows us to build data very quickly and reliably, while removing a lot of the leg work of trying to contact people in a more traditional method.

 ### 45. Effective Survey Tool for Target Audience Insight

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug M. | Business Acquisition Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like the fact that I can add pre-populated questions as well as open field questions. These features make it valuable for me because I'm trying to survey my audience and figure out their pain points. The open field allows me to get direct feedback.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Honestly, there aren't many things that don't work well for me with SurveyMonkey. I think it does a pretty good job overall. If there was an easy way to make the process a little bit easier, that would be an improvement. Also, I would rate the ease of setup about a five out of ten, with ten being very difficult. It's not particularly easy, but it wasn't particularly hard either.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to poll my email list, helping me figure out their pain points and what products or services I can offer. I like that I can add pre-populated and open field questions for direct feedback.

 ### 46. Great for Engaging Groups; Challenging Initial Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cynthia F. | Author/Speaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I really like the ease of usability with SurveyMonkey. It's so easy for so many people to use, including a lot of senior citizens who are able to use it as well. This makes it a great tool for different groups.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I think it might be that the initial setup was difficult for people to download. And after that, once they learn, they felt like it was very easy. It wasn't easy at all. People didn't know how to download it. They had a difficult time again. They were senior citizens.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps me decide which events to start by taking polls. As the head of a book club, I use it to send 12 books for selection. It's easy for all, even senior citizens.

 ### 47. AI-Enhanced Surveys Make Event Planning Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mai M. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I find SurveyMonkey to be such a user-friendly platform, and I really enjoy the AI-generated surveys that can be created with a single prompt. My clients are already familiar with the platform, which is a plus. The templates work great, but I find the AI options become highly customized and tailored to my specific event follow-up questions, which is incredibly helpful. The initial setup was an absolute breeze!

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I used to only use the templates, which were fine, but I find the AI generated surveys appear to be more customized and curated.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey provides immediate feedback for event analysis, helping share event success or challenges. It's user-friendly and familiar to clients. The AI-generated surveys are highly customized, accommodating unique event nuances and tailored follow-ups, which is essential as I work across various sectors.

 ### 48. Efficient Survey Tool with Easy Analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela Batsford B. | Contract Lecturer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey has a simple interface, which makes it easy to use. I appreciate the ability to add different types of survey questions, such as multiple choice or true/false. I also really like that it sometimes pre-populates the answers for me, which saves time. I also like that I can work on the survey with teammates

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I don't like that I can only use on so many devices. I also didn't love the graphs it generated. I feel that excel creates better graphs.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps me distribute surveys quickly and analyze them easily.

 ### 49. Easy, Template-Rich Surveys with Powerful Logic, Analytics, and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DIP NILESH S. | Operations & Inventory Coordinator (Supply Chain / Warehouse Operations), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Very easy to use

You can create a survey in minutes with drag-and-drop tools.

Lots of ready-made templates for common use cases (customer feedback, employee engagement, market research, etc.).

2. Strong question & logic features

Many question types (multiple choice, ranking, matrix, open text).

Advanced options like skip logic and branching so respondents only see relevant questions.

3. Built-in analytics

Automatically generates charts and summaries.

Lets you filter results, compare groups, and export data to tools like Excel or SPSS.

4. Flexible distribution

Share surveys via link, email, QR code, or embed on websites.

Works well on both desktop and mobile devices.

5. Integrations

Connects with tools like Salesforce, Slack, and Microsoft Teams to bring feedback directly into workflows.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One drawback of SurveyMonkey is that many useful features are locked behind paid plans. While the free version is good for basic surveys, limitations on the number of questions, responses, and advanced analytics can make it restrictive for more in-depth research.

Another downside is that pricing can feel relatively high compared with some newer survey tools, especially for small teams or individuals who only need occasional surveys. Some users also find that exporting or customizing reports is less flexible than they would like.

Overall, while SurveyMonkey is powerful and easy to use, the cost and feature limits on lower tiers can be a barrier for users who want more advanced functionality without upgrading to a premium plan.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps me solve the challenge of quickly collecting and analysing feedback from a large group of people. It’s straightforward to create surveys, share them with the right audience, and then turn the responses into clear, usable insights. Overall, it saves me time and supports more informed, data-driven decision-making.

 ### 50. Survey says?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle "Mitchie" C. | Cake and Sugar Artist, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2017

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Easy to navigate and set up. Results are great.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

What everyone does, paying for premium use.

**Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:**

We can't read minds, unless we're some type of medium, can we? Collecting info can often be a daunting task for a business owner, but we need to know...am I giving my customer everything they want and need? I have learned more from completed surveys, perhaps it's the anonymity for a customer (that they know of), they speak more freely and answer questions. If you have 10 or less questions that need answers, you'll be fine with the basic plan. If you are looking for market research panels, unlimited responses, benchmarks, exported data, customization then my recommendation is the Advantage plan. Overall, you'll likely find everything you need with basic and it comes with survey analysis. It's really all I need, I try to create surveys quarterly, it keeps my crowd engaged and let's me know if I'm headed in the right direction. No monkey business, you'll like that!

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Surveymonkey helps me clarify with my clientele and their needs overall.
