## SurveyMonkey Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless Surveys, Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adit C. | Graduate Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I mostly use SurveyMonkey for creating and keeping records of events happening in my organization. I like the data organized, and SurveyMonkey has a feature that allows showing data based on the selected questions or categories. It's easy to use and is easily understood, even by non-technical users. SurveyMonkey is built so users can move from idea to finished survey without needing training. The interface is clean, the steps are clearly separated, and nothing feels hidden behind complex menus. I connect SurveyMonkey with Excel for deeper filtering, pivot tables, and custom charts, and it is very easy to connect. The initial setup was very quick because the platform is designed to get new users from sign-up to the first survey with almost no friction. I would call the setup smooth, intuitive, and surprisingly fast.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

You can't fully control layout, fonts, spacing, or visual designs. Connecting the branches of the questions can be tedious for some people.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey organizes data based on selected questions, which I like. It’s user-friendly, even non-technical users can create surveys easily without understanding complex formats.

 ### 2. A reliable, low-friction survey tool I return to regularly for structured feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarun K. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I appreciate most about SurveyMonkey, even on the Basic / Free plan, is how intentionally it is designed around the core act of creating and distributing surveys without unnecessary friction. When I log in, I’m not overwhelmed by configuration decisions or setup steps. The platform makes it immediately clear where to start, whether that’s creating a survey from scratch or using a pre-built structure as a foundation. This clarity matters because surveys are often created under time pressure, when the priority is collecting responses quickly rather than learning a complex tool.

Ease of use is one of SurveyMonkey’s strongest points. The interface feels mature and predictable, which means I don’t have to re-learn workflows each time I come back to it. Question creation, answer options and basic logic are presented in a straightforward way that allows me to focus on the wording and intent of the questions rather than the mechanics of the tool. Even when switching between different survey types, the experience stays consistent, which reduces cognitive overhead and speeds up the overall process.

I also find myself returning to SurveyMonkey frequently because it handles the full lifecycle of a simple survey in one place. From building questions, to sharing the survey link, to reviewing incoming responses, everything flows logically. For basic use cases, I don’t need to integrate additional tools or export data immediately to feel productive. I can check responses directly in the platform, get a quick sense of participation and identify trends without extra setup.

Another strength is how stable and dependable the platform feels. Surveys load reliably, links work consistently and respondents don’t encounter confusing interfaces on their end. This reliability is important when surveys are shared with external participants, because responses need to be collected consistently without technical issues. I don’t have to worry about whether a respondent will struggle to complete a survey or abandon it due to usability issues, which helps improve response rates and overall data quality.

The free plan’s feature set is limited, but it is clearly defined. That transparency actually makes the product easier to use because I know what to expect. I can design surveys, collect responses and review results without constantly running into unclear boundaries. For straightforward survey needs, the available features are sufficient and the platform does not feel artificially complicated just to push upgrades. SurveyMonkey’s help resources and customer support have been helpful whenever I’ve needed clarification on features or plan limits, making it easy to resolve questions quickly and continue working without interrupting my workflow

Overall, SurveyMonkey fits naturally into my workflow as a tool I can rely on whenever structured feedback or data collection is needed. It doesn’t demand constant attention, customization, or maintenance. Instead, it provides a clean, efficient environment where I can create surveys quickly, distribute them confidently and review responses without friction. That consistency is what keeps me coming back to it over time.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The main limitation I notice on the Basic plan is how quickly you can reach feature constraints once your needs go beyond simple surveys. Advanced question logic, deeper analytics and more detailed reporting are clearly reserved for paid plans. While this is understandable, it can feel restrictive when you want to explore results in more depth or customize the survey experience further.

Response viewing and export options are also limited on the free tier. When working with larger response sets, it can be harder to slice the data in meaningful ways directly within the platform. This means that for more analytical or long-term projects, upgrading becomes necessary sooner rather than later.

That said, these drawbacks are more about scope than usability. The platform works well within its intended boundaries, but those boundaries are something to be aware of if survey complexity grows over time.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves the problem of collecting structured feedback in a fast, organized and repeatable way. Instead of relying on unstructured emails, messages, or ad-hoc forms, it gives me a centralized place to design surveys that are easy for respondents to complete and easy for me to manage. The biggest benefit is time efficiency. I can go from idea to live survey very quickly, which is especially useful when feedback is needed on short notice. Because the platform handles distribution and response collection smoothly, I can focus on interpreting the feedback rather than managing the logistics of gathering it. SurveyMonkey also reduces friction on the respondent side. Surveys are simple to access, intuitive to complete and don’t require extra steps or accounts. This helps improve participation and ensures that the feedback I receive is more representative and useful.

In practice, SurveyMonkey acts as a dependable utility rather than a complex system. It supports recurring survey needs without demanding ongoing setup or customization, which makes it easy to integrate into regular workflows whenever structured input is required. For basic survey use cases, it provides exactly what’s needed: clarity, reliability and speed.

 ### 3. Easy to Use, Straightforward Setup, and Great Data Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe M. | Impact and Engagement Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It’s easy to use and straightforward to put together, and I like all the data tools that it comes with.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The reminder feature is kind of hard to use and understand. After I send the first reminder, sending additional reminders becomes time-consuming, especially when there are so many different collector lists to work through.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An easy way to collect data from large groups of people.

 ### 4. Effortless Surveys, Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like the interface of SurveyMonkey, and I'm used to it now. It suits my needs just fine, and I find it seamless with no surprises. I like the fact that I can easily import the data into an Excel spreadsheet. Also, I can customize the interface, adding the Ottawa U logo, which makes it look sleeker and more professional. I was able to use SurveyMonkey without having to read any instructions, which says a lot about how well the interface is laid out. The initial setup was quite easy; I didn't read the instructions and was up and going in no time.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I sort of had a problem finding under which icon or link I could find the results under at the beginning.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to conduct surveys in my classes and compile results to produce statistics. It allows me to easily import data into Excel, and the seamless interface suits my needs.

 ### 5. Effortless Survey Creation with SurveyMonkey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marisa R. | Administrative Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I love that I can duplicate surveys because I use that feature very often for job functions that I have to do monthly or annually. I just duplicate surveys that I used in previous years and edit them. I also really like the feature where you can prepare your questions ahead of time and just copy and paste them, and SurveyMonkey takes it and turns it into a functional survey for you. It also provides the suggested formats for different questions based on the type of question that I typed out and provided. The initial setup of SurveyMonkey was very easy, so easy that I don't even remember it.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I guess, it would be really nice to get an automated email. We already receive automated emails to notify my when I have a response, but I have to log in to see the submission details. It would be really nice if I could a quick preview of the questions that were answered in the automated email that I received, so that I do not have to take the time to log in to the program and check the results.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to get quick feedback and compile important information easily. It helps me measure things I would find difficult otherwise. I love exporting the survey responses, because it provides me with a formatted report that I can filter and build off of.

 ### 6. Effortless Q&A Creation with Easy Cut-and-Paste

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen G. | Director of Membership and Continuing Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The best part for me is cutting and pasting the questions and answers into the option that creates it for you!

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I don't have any downsides to Survey Monkey.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We provide CE. We must do evaluations in order to report back to our accreditation provider. This allows us to show all the questions and answers that we collect in an organized and easy-to-see response.

 ### 7. Easy to Use with Great Multi-Software Integrations at a Competitive Price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mouvement L. | Political advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It’s easy to use and integrates well with multiple software tools. The pricing is competitive, which makes it a solid option overall.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

There’s a lack of options and versatility when creating a form. It feels really limited in the design.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There isn’t really any problem that SurveyMonkey can solve, but it does offer a good survey platform for organizing events or developing policy programs.

 ### 8. Flexible Branding and Response Format Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allie B. | Senior Communications Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that there are options to implement company brand guidelines. I also like the variety of options available for response formats.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I dislike how tricky it can be to import survey questions. I also dislike the ease of analtyic gathering and interpretation.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us to gather feedback to a more broad area of people, which helps us adjust our work accordingly.

 ### 9. AI Survey Creation That Consistently Delivers Better Results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine V. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I love the AI feature for creating surveys! It always does a great job for me and comes out better than I can create.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I haven't found anything that I dislike about the platform.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to get a much higher return on surveys which has helped our agency refine practices, make improvements, and stay on top of our consumer and employees' needs.

 ### 10. Best tool for survey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey has graph KPI features that you can use to visualize the reponses

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

****This is for the moderator. Why did you send me an email yesterday to ansdwer 4 questions on previous review about SurveyMonkey and then took my review to be moderated? I already submitted review about it along with screenshot and the review was approved so I don't understand why my response is not sufficient. **************

Nothing at this moment. Still easy to use and UI is awesome.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves the organization problem by enabling users to have acces to a web based application to fill out questionaires instead of using word document.

 ### 11. Effortless Data Analysis and Flexible Exports

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It can analyze the data. I don't have to spend time figuring it out, and I can export the information as needed.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

It's hard for me when I have a 2 part question. For example, I had a survey that required the child's name and age. I didn't want to use the text box because I wanted to pull the info into age categories. Therefore, I had to use 2 questions and was unable to pull the information from the first question as a continuation for the second question.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's eliminating the need to receive responses via email and analyzing data.

 ### 12. Easy Survey Creation with Templates and Great Results Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave E. | Freelance Writer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It's pretty easy to create surveys. You can mostly walk your way through it and it also has prompts to provide you with some guidance and best practices. Recent improvements have made it even easier to use with templates and better results reporting. It even creates graphs for presentations when it comes time to report on your survey results.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Knowing which features we can access with our chosen plan. They are shown on the dashboard but when you click on them is says only available with an updated plan.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an easy way for us to collect feedback on proposed route changes. Nobody wants to come to an in-person meeting and it's even getting hard to have a virtual meeting to collect feedback. Putting a survey link online and sending out emails and posting to social media is a low-cost but effective way to solicit feedback upon which we make important service decisions.

 ### 13. SurveyMonkey Makes Company Surveys and Insights Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey is very useful for our company when it comes to sending out surveys and using those statistics to help better our company.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I would say that when downloading the results, the former layout that was used was better than the current. I have to search to find my downloads. Also, the surveys sometimes end up in the junk folder for some of our recipients.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before, our company would send out paper ballots for Board elections, and then they would have to mail them back. SurveyMonkey has made the process so much easier, and we get the accurate results, real time.

 ### 14. Adaptable, Easy-to-Review Answers at a Great Price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter W. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Adaptable, easy to format and review answers. Pricing keen and we only have 2 users access which keeps pricing down

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The change to the review format makes it harder for me to read and understand the overall scores, although this is purely a matter of personal preference.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It shows customer feedback in real time, and email links are sent daily to departing customers.

 ### 15. Easy-to-Use Online Surveys with Terrific Personalized Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Ease of use online and terrific personalized communication with quick turnaround responses in personal emails. This was the first ever questionnaire I create online and I thought the tutorials made this very easy to do and manage.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Some things were not as easy to view in the app. I could easily see the latest survey counts, but beyond that it was very limited. I am an Android user.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a doctoral dissertation student and the data I was trying to collect on my own using my own contacts, social media ads, and posting in groups was inadequate. SurveyMonkey allowed me to move the data collection process to a conclusion in a month. After hearing other doctoral students complaints with not enough data 6 months later, I am thrilled and convinced that alone should save me the expense of one semester of school tuition.

 ### 16. Intuitive Survey Building with Actionable Analytics, but archaic multilingual

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** michaela c. | Customer Success Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The interface is quite easy to navigate and intuitive even to a new user. Survey building function is efficient and question library provides sufficient selection. Question branching works well. Visuals in analytics tool are quite nice and actionable. I appreciate availability to save graphs and tables in PDF as well as PNG- easy to use in the presentation. I recently tested multi survey analysis and while its nice for easy metrics like NPS and CSAT.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The app tends to bug out quite a bit. We had major issues with multilingual collector and support took forever to answer and when they did they pointed us to generic KB, which of course didnt solve anything. I think the app could be way more effective if they worked with real users and listened to their suggestions. I find the way translations are done in Survey Monkey very outdated and ineffective especially if you work with a lot of languages. This goes for survey itself as well as collectors.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have detailed insights into customer satisfaction and metrics.

 ### 17. Simple Survey Creation and Fast Data Exports with CRM Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon H. | Audience Insights Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Very simple UI allows me to create surveys and download data quickly. It integrates with our CRM so we can track responses back to individual customers.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The analytics is quite basic, so I need to export data into other platforms or Excel

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are continuously improving the analytics function and that allows me to do more with the data held there.

 ### 18. Highly customizable and easy to use and user friendly Survey application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uma V. | Head of Finance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2024

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

> Easy to access and customize surveys as per business requirements
> Track the survey results in real time
> Analyze the responses based on the category
> Very user-friendly survey tool, familiar to most of the users as this survey tool is widely used across industries

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

There are no major points which identified to improve this tool as this tool is very useful and well designed for conducting mass survey and to check pulse from team etc., no issues found so far.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used this tool to capture the responses at larger forums like organization wide surveys, change management impact etc.,

 ### 19. SurveyMonkey Makes Creating, Managing, and Exporting Surveys Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabelle M. | Business Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Survey Monkey is great. It allows us to easily create and manage surveys and responses, both internally and externally. We can also export the responses afterward without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The mobile survey-taking experience isn’t always smooth.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey offers a straightforward way to gather both internal staff feedback and external responses in a single platform. It reduces the need for manual data collection by centralising responses and including basic, ready-to-use reporting. This saves time when running recurring feedback cycles as well as one-off initiatives, and it also makes it easier to share results with stakeholders without needing extra processing.

 ### 20. SurveyMonkey: A reliable tool for a professor's job

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sinjini M. | Associate Professor of Information Systems and Decision Sciences, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey has been very useful for my research over the past several years. It has an interface that is very user-friendly and easy to use. This helps me in creating surveys on a wide range of topics across disciplines and collect data via an efficient distribution process. The platform offers resources and templates that can be customized for different population sub-groups based on the application (for example, research purposes, teaching purposes, assessment, and so on). The other feature that I find extremely helpful for my work is that I can obtain the analysis and results very quickly and it consists of tabular and graphical summaries of the data that provide actionable insights and interpretation. Further, the integration with Excel makes transition of the data to other software platforms seamless that facilitates analytics. SurveyMonkey has thus proved to be an efficient tool for informed decision-making in the current data-driven world.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Nothing much really except for the fact that some improvement in the appearance and addition of more interactive components can make the SurveyMonkey platform more attractive to a wider range of users. In particular, the "free" version can be be improved significantly to attract first-time users, especially students and smaller organizations.

Uploaded a screenshot as I was able to log in to the account.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey assists me in gathering data through surveys, which I utilize for teaching, research, and service activities that are integral to my job.

 ### 21. Survey monkey experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Medicine | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey makes it easy to create professional surveys and collect responses in one place. The reporting and analytics tools also make it simple to understand the results and identify trends.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One thing I dislike is that some of the more useful features are only available with paid plans. The survey customization options can also feel somewhat limited unless you upgrade.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey simplifies the process of collecting feedback and organizing responses, saving me time compared with creating surveys manually. It helps me make more informed decisions by providing clear summaries and analytics of the results.

 ### 22. Still a very good way for all your surveys

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gijs V. | ICT-coördinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

They have improved the security a lot. MFA is now standard, not everybody can see all surveys of other members, which is great.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

In these times, where we are all looking for non-american alternatives, there are much options. Could it be an option to create "Surveymonkey Europe' that's all European?

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've tried other survey builders, but since i've worked with SurveyMonkey so much, it works fluently for me and I can just create a form or survey within short time. It's drag & drop and that's just the best way for me. It gives me the best insight in de collected data.

 ### 23. User-Friendly Surveys with Helpful Question Suggestions and Flexible Collectors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It is user friendly and I appreciate the suggestions for better questions. It is also helpful to see how long it might take a respondent to complete the survey. Having different options for 'collectors' is also a great feature.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Sometimes the Logic feature can be tricky to use. I also don’t like that I can only have two set-ups at a time. If I’m out and a coworker needs access to the survey for any reason, they can’t get in unless I remove someone else from the user list first.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have an answer for this.

 ### 24. Survey Monkey is EASY Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S G. | S, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Survey monkey continues to update and make sure their site is usable

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Give people longer free trials to experiment with the paid side of survey monkey

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allows us to reach out to all stakeholders in our school district to ask a variety of questions. It's easy to make surveys that are consistent so it is not confusing to the public taking the survey.

 ### 25. Nice and easy to use Survey Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kanishka S. | Manager - Analytics, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2023

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The recent improvements to survey logic and branching features have been helpful. The mobile-responsive survey design also works well for reaching respondents on any device.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

It would be great to have the ability to resend survey links specifically to non-respondents, as well as more customization options on the free plan. Better export formatting for data analysis would also be a plus.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing survey feedback

 ### 26. SurveyMonkey Makes Feedback Collection Fast, Easy, and Insightful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franco D. | Own & Digital Media Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

SurveyMonkey is easy to use, quick to set up, and makes it simple to collect and analyze customer feedback. I especially value its templates, flexible question formats, and clear reporting dashboards.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Some advanced features and customization options are locked behind higher-priced plans. Reporting and data exports could also be more flexible, especially when managing complex surveys or larger respondent segments.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps us collect structured customer feedback, measure satisfaction, and identify pain points quickly. This allows us to make more informed marketing and product decisions, validate initiatives, and improve the customer experience based on real data.

 ### 27. Simple Yet Powerful Analytics With Time-Saving AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos M. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like how it balances simplicity with deep analytical power. The AI integration—whether I’m building surveys or summarizing open-ended responses—saves me hours of manual work, and the advanced logic features make it possible to create highly personalized experiences for respondents.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The pricing structure feels quite steep, and the free plan is far too restrictive for any real professional use. I also don’t like the automatic overage charges for additional responses, and it’s frustrating that deeper branding customization is locked behind the highest-priced tiers.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps remove the bottleneck in qualitative data analysis. Rather than manually sorting through thousands of comments, I can rely on instant AI insights and automated workflows, which enable our team to respond to customer feedback in real time. This has noticeably improved our agility and overall customer satisfaction.

 ### 28. Efficient Feedback Collection with Seamless Sharing

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2017

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey puts everything in one place and makes it easy to download reports and share dashboards. Being able to share dashboards with team members is a big plus, as it makes the sharing of data seamless between team members. Also, the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I dislike having to pay for licenses for everybody on the team to access SurveyMonkey.

**Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:**

Quick results

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to put everything in one place, making it easy for me to download reports and share dashboards. It allows me to share data seamlessly with team members.

 ### 29. Simple, AI-Powered Survey Building That Automates Question Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel A. | Consultant/Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

It is simple to use even for a novice survey developer. The AI developer is a great feature. My favorite feature was copy and pasting multiple questions and it autmating the survey.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

NA - there isnt anything that I dislike about the program.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping me develop multiple surveys, copy them to ensure consistency and track responses overtime.

 ### 30. User-Friendly Survey Tool with Excellent Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemant Pratap S. | Sr. Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like SurveyMonkey primarily for its ease of use when creating and distributing surveys to gather feedback. The ready-made templates save me a lot of time, as they align well with use cases like feedback and customer satisfaction. I find the interface very intuitive, making it easy to create, edit, and share surveys without needing any training. The real-time analytics and visual reports make it simple to understand responses without extra effort, allowing me to take action quickly instead of waiting for manual reports. It's reliable, quick to set up, and doesn’t require any technical expertise to get meaningful insights. The integration with ServiceNow is seamless and helps trigger surveys directly from service workflows, ensuring timely and relevant feedback collection.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

While SurveyMonkey works well overall, the pricing can feel a bit high, especially when some useful features are locked behind higher-tier plans. Customization options—especially for design and branding—could be more flexible. Also, the reporting is good but having more advanced analytics for deeper insights without exporting data would make it even better.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to gather feedback from teams and clients, solving the challenge of structured data collection. It simplifies analysis and reporting, saving time and supporting better decision-making with clear insights.

 ### 31. Efficient, Compliant Surveys with Some Integration Hurdles

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamara N. | Head of Quality & Compliance , Food Production, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I appreciate SurveyMonkey for its simplicity, reliability, and strict GDPR compliance, which are crucial for our work in organic food production and quality compliance in Germany. The prebuilt template library is a huge time-saver, allowing us to quickly create consistent surveys for quality checks, supplier audits, and customer feedback without needing to start from scratch. I love the customizable but straightforward logic and branching, which makes our compliance workflows more efficient by tailoring questions based on previous answers. The analytics and reporting features make it easy to spot trends in product quality, production safety, or customer satisfaction, enabling quick action to address issues. The initial setup was straightforward and intuitive, allowing us to create user accounts and build our first surveys within hours, without the need for specialized IT support.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The built-in template options for food safety, organic certification, and supplier audits are limited, so we still must build many compliance-focused surveys from scratch. The offline response functionality is weak—our production and warehouse staff often work in areas with poor internet, and unfinished responses sometimes fail to sync properly. We’d also like more granular export and formatting controls for audit documentation; currently we spend extra time adjusting reports to meet German certification standards. Additionally, some advanced logic rules can be slow to apply in longer compliance surveys, and integration with our internal quality management system requires manual workarounds rather than native connections.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to standardize feedback collection, replacing paper forms with GDPR-compliant digital surveys, which prevents data loss. It helps catch quality risks in production early and streamlines customer feedback to enhance products. The platform saves us time and ensures compliance with German food safety standards.

 ### 32. Complete and Reliable Platform for Job Applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T J. | Ingeniero de Proyectos, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I think SurveyMonkey is a very comprehensive and professional platform. The part I love is that you can track your experience even after having previously completed a survey. I also really like how you can share past experiences and achievements, which is useful for future applications. Additionally, I find the setup of SurveyMonkey quite intuitive and well-explained, with many tools to provide guidelines on the experience you want to record. It is extremely practical and reliable in resolving responses and verification to prevent plagiarism.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I believe that the ratings in some cases are not the most appropriate or expected, and they do not get updated over time. Once you register with a user, the experience remains permanent and does not reflect improvements. It may also be necessary to change users to apply for a new vacancy.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that SurveyMonkey is extremely practical and reliable in resolving responses, ensuring there is no plagiarism and allowing activities to be answered on time and in the correct manner.

 ### 33. Flexible Survey Creation for Every Need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

The flexibility to be able to produce a variety of different types of surveys

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I honestly have not found a downside yet except it could have more built in AI features to help summarize written content as we relied heavily on this for our last survey. We ended up exporting and paying for claude.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is solving the fact that we don't know what the people in our community WANT until we ask them! it gives us a user friendly platform which is trusted in order to deliver on some of our key 2026 objectives

 ### 34. SurveyMonkey Makes Creating Surveys and Analyzing Results Fast and Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grishma G. | Admin, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like best about SurveyMonkey is how easy it is to go from idea to usable data without needing much technical skill. The interface is intuitive, so you can quickly build surveys using templates or customize your own with different question types.

Another big strength is its built-in analytics—it automatically summarizes responses with charts and insights, which saves a lot of time compared to manually analyzing data. It also integrates well with other tools, making it practical for both small projects and more professional use.

Overall, it strikes a good balance between simplicity and powerful features, which is why it’s popular for everything from quick feedback forms to more structured research.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One downside of SurveyMonkey is that many of its most useful features are locked behind paid plans. Things like advanced logic, detailed analytics, and even viewing full response data can be quite limited on the free tier, which can feel restrictive.

Another issue is pricing—it can get expensive compared to some alternatives, especially if you only need it for occasional use. For individuals or small teams, the cost doesn’t always feel justified.

Some users also find the customization options a bit limiting. While it’s easy to use, that simplicity can come at the expense of flexibility if you want highly tailored survey designs or more complex workflows.

Lastly, exporting and managing data can sometimes feel clunky, particularly when dealing with larger datasets or trying to integrate results into other tools.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey is mainly solving the problem of **collecting, understanding, and acting on feedback at scale**—something that’s traditionally slow, expensive, and messy.

Here’s how that translates into real benefits:

**1. Turning opinions into usable data**
Instead of guessing what people think, it lets you quickly gather structured feedback from customers, employees, or users. This helps you make decisions based on real data rather than assumptions. ([Wikipedia][1])

**Benefit to you:** You can make more confident decisions (e.g., improving a product, service, or experience) without relying on guesswork.

---

**2. Saving time and cost on research**
Traditional research methods (like focus groups or manual interviews) take a lot of time and money. SurveyMonkey simplifies this by letting you create surveys, distribute them, and analyze results in one place.

**Benefit to you:** You get insights much faster and cheaper, which is especially useful for quick projects or tight deadlines.

---

**3. Reducing the risk of bad decisions**
By collecting feedback early—like during product development—you can test ideas before fully committing. Research shows gathering user insights early helps avoid costly mistakes later. ([surveymonkey.com][2])

**Benefit to you:** You can catch issues early and avoid investing time or money into ideas that won’t work.

---

**4. Understanding your audience better**
It helps identify customer needs, preferences, and pain points through surveys, segmentation, and feedback analysis.

**Benefit to you:** You can tailor your approach (marketing, products, or services) to what people actually want, not what you assume they want.

---

**5. Measuring performance and satisfaction**
You can track things like customer satisfaction, brand perception, or employee engagement over time. ([surveymonkey.com][3])

**Benefit to you:** You can see what’s working, what’s not, and where to improve—making progress more measurable.

---

**In short:**
SurveyMonkey solves the problem of **“I need reliable feedback, fast”**, and benefits you by helping you **make smarter decisions, reduce risk, and save time**.

 ### 35. Costly with Limited Features for Small Groups

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey allows for multiple options when creating survey questions, such as multiple choice and long-form answers. It made our survey more complete in what we were looking for to receive input from our members.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I didn't like the limitations and cost of needing a subscription. The price seemed exorbitant for having more than 10 questions and more than 25 responses. For small businesses or groups, this cost is much too high to continue using. Plus, when the subscriptions ended, I lost access to the additional responses I paid to receive through our timeframe. I understand why but think that once the subscription was paid, the user should keep the access to the information gained during that subscription period.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey solves having a central location for both taking the survey and gathering all responses.

 ### 36. Terrific for getting feedback. I think as the app has grown people trust it more now.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina A. | Software Applications Training, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I enjoy using Survey Monkey for Gathering data, Analytics and the like. Increased options for pulling data has been helpful. And it's trusted which is more than I can say about a lot of other apps.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I haven't found a downside and have not gone to another app when I need feedback. I continue to use Survey Monkey.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding customer pain points and identifying what we need to work on in order to create a better product. I also use this in-house to get a feel for employee satisfaction and up skills needed to improve the business.

 ### 37. Still the best survey platform I’ve used so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2023

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I find the branching feature to be very intuitive to build and to cross-check afterwards.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

It's still not the most affordable option - I think it's worth the cost given the features and benefits. We really appreciate the analytics and how intuitive it is to build complex surveys quickly and use the features throughout the year, but if we were on a tighter budget/used the features less frequently we'd have to examine the cost.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets us collect feedback and registration information effectively and quickly and also has many options to visualize the data and pull out insights.

 ### 38. Anonymous Event Feedback Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily B. | Marketing Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Gathering feedback from events that I've done and having anonymous links so people can trust leaving honest feedback.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Analyzing the results and/or downloading to an export isn't always smooth.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me manage tickets for events and get honest feedback regarding events I've done. It's also super easy to send out links to our entire company.

 ### 39. User-Friendly Surveys and Reporting, But Advanced Customization Feels Limited

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | Help Desk, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like best about SurveyMonkey is how simple and user-friendly it is for creating surveys and collecting feedback. I also like the variety of templates and reporting tools, which make it easy to analyze responses and organize data efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

One thing I dislike about SurveyMonkey is that some useful features are limited to paid plans, which
can make the free version feel restrictive. I've also found that customizing surveys beyond the basic
options can sometimes be a little difficult.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey helps solve the problem of collecting feedback and organizing responses in an efficient way. It benefits me by making it easier to gather opinions, analyze data quickly, and make more informed decisions for projects, assignments, and team activities.

 ### 40. Easy-to-Use Survey Platform That Boosts Completion Rates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd W. | CEO Co-Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

An easy-to-use platform with plenty of options to conduct more advanced surveys. The completion rates tend to be higher when I use this platform.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

There are some limitations to the survey result analysis you can complete within the tool.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey lets me quickly gather feedback, whether it's post-event feedback, product input or something else. The easy-to-use interface makes it quick and reasonable to set up.

 ### 41. Efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like how user friendly it is. In a few seconds, I can use survey monkey for exactly what I need. We were able to use it for the Arkansas State Fair, one of our clients, that wanted feedback from their visitors.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Maybe include more free options when building a survey. But I don't really have much to dislike.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with company-wide questions and issues I need answers for almost immediately. It saves the work of having to duplicate the same survey over and over. I've used it for our automotive clients and state fair clients.

 ### 42. Easy One-Response Surveys That Keep Feedback Clean

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cassandra R. | Group Exercise Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

That I can send surveys out and people can only do one response.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The cost is a factor. It's a little on the expensive side to get some needed features.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy links and like I said previously about people only getting to submit 1 response. We've had issues with other platforms that allow multiple responses.

 ### 43. Easy to Use with Great Survey Output

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shanita B. | Training Certification Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Survey Monkey is easy to use, and I really appreciate the output it provides.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I could use more help when Creating and Editing new design Templates. When it comes to Branching

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us stay in contact with all shareholders to learn what we are doing right as well as what we are doing wrong.

 ### 44. SurveyMonkey Makes It Easy to Gather Valuable Feedback in Healthcare settings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas F. | Director of Compliance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I use the surveys for both new hire orientations, employee satisfaction surveys and client overall impression surveys. Very easy to setup and use to gain valuable feedback.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Nothing to report on dislikes. Survey Monkey serves me well with what they have to offer.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am unclear of any issues that they are working on.

 ### 45. Easiest way to access information on various softwares or products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson R. | Legal Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

What I like best about Survey Monkey is that you are able to find what other users think of basically any product or service that exists. It allows me to browse what options I have and pick the one that I think is best for me based off of the reviews others have shared.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to wade through all of the options, as there can be an overwhelming amount to choose from.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching a group of people with questions we'd like to see answers to. It allows us to build data very quickly and reliably, while removing a lot of the leg work of trying to contact people in a more traditional method.

 ### 46. Surveying for immediate needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany T. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Ease of use of platform. I can log into the platform and easily and quickly put together a survey.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

Most satisfaction templates are needed. The types of surveys I distribute most are tied to satisfaction so more templates would be helpful.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this survey internally to gauge availability and satisifcation from students and staff.

 ### 47. Intuitive Surveys Made Easy, Could Benefit From Account Management Tweaks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey makes designing surveys easy and has a very clear and easy-to-understand user interface. It's easy to find what you're looking for, and the surveys use a drag-and-drop method with logical rules that make sense. The initial setup was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I find the process for downgrading from a team to an individual plan could be improved, as well as the process for changing the primary account owner. For the primary account owner, you have to transfer all surveys to the main account, then delete the secondary account, then change the primary account email. This is cumbersome. It would be easier if the primary account holder could just transfer ownership directly.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SurveyMonkey makes designing surveys easy, helps me collect responses effortlessly, and analyze data efficiently.

 ### 48. Consumer-Friendly Tool for Easy Large-Scale Questionnaires

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Magda K. | Marketing Research Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

Because it’s more consumer-friendly, and it makes it easy to create questionnaires for large research projects.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

The survey design templates can sometimes feel repetitive.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Survey monkey helps me collect and analyze feedback from customers, and it also helps me measure NPS and satisfaction. It provides actionable insights that support business decisions.

 ### 49. SurveyMonkey Is Incredibly Intuitive—Launched My Survey in About 30 Minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I typically struggle learning new platforms and SurveyMonkey was probably the easiest, most intuitive products I've used. Didn't need to try and contact support or dig up a bunch of help articles. Launched it in 30 minutes or something.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I had a hard time with the audience recruitment feature. Couldn't navigate my way to using it so have gone with a third party for recruitment.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We launched a new SaaS product and we're learning a ton from having users test the product and then come to survey monkey to leave feedback.

 ### 50. User-Friendly and Efficient, But Pricey for Educational Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SurveyMonkey?**

I like that SurveyMonkey is very user-friendly and it's quick to deploy. It helps to deliver surveys much faster and quicker, providing data that answers the questions I have. The initial setup was also very easy, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?**

I find the cost of SurveyMonkey has increased quite a bit in the last few years, and I also feel there's a lack of multiple tools specifically tailored to university-level needs.

**What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SurveyMonkey to deliver surveys much faster and in multiple formats, so students can access the information they need quickly.
