## Subscript Reviews
  ### 1. Great Support & Beautiful dashboards/analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi F. | CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

The analytics and metrics dashboards are super easy to use; drilling down, segmenting and filtering to easily access all the key metrics across months, quarters, years is easy.

The team at Subscript is small but effective - there are real people helping with onboarding and answering questions via Slack which get really quick response times.

The onboarding team put in so much time and did the heavy lifting with migrating data from Chargebee to Subscript and made the process easy for me which was amazing. They were very thorough and had weekly calls to ensure we stayed on track to hit the go-live target date.

The easy sync of contracts from Hubspot > Subscript reduces manual entry for new deals and contracts. Syncing to Xero and Hubspot is easy and the sync is done automatically and easily so changes can be reflected quickly.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Updating transactions to reflect billing changes can be tedious and it takes a bit to get the hang of how their billing logic works, there can be some laggy/buggy things occasionally which are generally fixed quickly via a support chat. Overall you can tell Subscript is a younger start up but if you value a product that works, is easy to use and gives you the data you need in real time, human-centred customer support and success, and a team that are all clearly very invested in their company and their customers, Subscript is for you.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy billing integrated with our CRM and finance system. flexible billing tool, manage lots of varying use cases and changes, simple and effective anaytics and dashboards that allow us to access all the saas metrics we need and drill down, filter easily.

  ### 2. Saved us days of work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pete A. | Group Financial Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Not only is the produce super simple to use, but the team are so responsive to all our questions. Without Subscript we could simply not do our month end in the current timelines.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

I am looking forward to more multi company features being rolled out

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript has enabled us to turn our billing from a dreaded job to something that 'just happens' and without the pain

  ### 3. Subscript is Fantastic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

I really love the dashboard and how user friendly it is. There are a ton of cool features and reporting tools that I utilize daily.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

I wish customer service had a phone number to call.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does our billing and integrates into out our accounting and sales software easily.

  ### 4. Single source of truth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela L. | Head of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Subscript is the first invoicing platform I've really used, so I don't have a whole lot to compare it to. But it's great having everything in one place. Our AR and metrics would be so much messier without it. I particularly like the metrics section, which is now our company's source of truth for ARR (we were using a spreadsheet previously). Their support is amazing when we do run into issues.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

It can be buggy occasionally, but it's never more than a minor inconvenience.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript helps give us a single source of truth for billing and invoicing, as well as our SaaS metrics.

  ### 5. Powerful and easy-to-use software with excellent service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

- the software is very intuitive
- outstanding service
- we went from signing the contract to being fully operational on the Subscript billing and analytics platform within 2 weeks

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

- a native integration with Datev would be great
- analytics are currently focused on SaaS metrics, I would like to have billing analytics as well, eg. cash-in vs MRR, DSO, etc

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript solves 2 main problems for us

- subscription billing, which was before a very manual, time-consuming, and error prone process (saves 10+h per month)
- SaaS analytics - having a crystal clear view of where our ARR, revenue retention, etc. stand

  ### 6. Great billing tool for usage based dev tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir Z. | Chief Technology Office, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

We are an early stage dev tool company with a hosted version that is usage based with a few enterprise customers that are on a monthly fixed invoice. The initial Subscript implementation was a breeze and their support and ops team are super responsive.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Subscript is a new product so new features are continually being rolled out. The support + ops team has helped their product team prioritize features we wanted.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use subscript for billing.

  ### 7. Massive timing savings and insights through automation of the revenue cycle.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judd M. | Investor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

We originally purchased Subscript to solve a manual billing process driven primarily by Post-it notes and spreadsheets. This was causing invoicing delays and collection challenges. Since implementing Subscript, we've automated the entire A/R cycle from invoicing to automated dunning and collections. It has saved our AR/AP person hours monthly and led to faster collections.

However, we've found other significant efficiency gains with revenue recognition automation and analytics. We've now cut off an entire day from our close cycle with automated revenue recognition and deferred balance reporting.

Additionally, I've appreciated its analytics module. It's been so powerful to have all of our standard SaaS metrics in one place at my fingertips. It has not only saved me time on the strategic finance side of things but created better insights into what's happening and what will happen with our revenue.

For context, we sell both annual and usage-based contracts. Their integration with Salesforce has made those two revenue cycles easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Subscript is a start-up. As such, their product isn't as mature as some others on the market. As a result, some of the "nice to have" features aren't there yet. However, they've overcome those challenges with an incredibly fast development cycle and excellent customer support.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript has automated our entire revenue cycle from invoicing and collections to revenue recognition and reporting. It has led to faster collections, more accurate reporting, better insights into our revenue and saved us many hours each month.

  ### 8. Live financial KPIs & SaaS metrics fostering Salesforce data, with unparalleled flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yann L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

- Flexibility and features to adapt the results to complex/specific contracts recognition
- Seamless Salesforce integration (custom objects, sync...)
- Predetermined metrics that standardize the reporting and provide easy to understand tables/graphs (ex: waterfalls)
- Excellent support and integration team !
- Quick evolutions and reactivity, excellent potential for the future evolutions

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Just talking about place for improvement, no "dislike" at this point:
- Still requests some more interactive reports models and relative time filters (for instance, from... until today, not a fixed date)
- Some more admin capabilities (user management, roles, groups, etc.)
- Being able to integrate billing reporting/alerts vs reco (currently in dev I believe...)

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calculating monthly/quarterly/annual ARR evolution and all related SaaS metrics on the fly as we enter our data in Salesforce, with no error/manual entries in between or additional excel calculations.
We just enter the correct subscription info in Salesforce and all our ARR waterfall and corresponding financial metrics are available, live.
Also, provides a single source of truth for top reporting with standardized, easy to read tables/graphs.

  ### 9. One of the newest & best platforms for Saas revenue management and accounting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Revenue metrics are easy to compute and visualize if you are looking to escape QBB/Excel hell. Revenue management & invoicing/reminders are really easy to manage especially if you're dealing with customers with shorter or irregular invoicing schedules. Customized revenue vs accounting revenue recognition & the ability to verify all their internal calculations. Customer support integrates with your Slack environment and is very responsive. App-model and UI makes it easy to use and you want to come back to it frequently to review numbers.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Not many I can think of. The one feature it lacked, their team implemented and rolled out to us in less than a month, which speaks to the velocity of their internal improvement.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revenue recognition & SaaS metric calculation, revenue accounting recognition, billing automation for monthly or quarterly-invoicing customers.

  ### 10. SaaS metrics at the click of a button

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

The team from sales to onboarding to customer support was engaging and a joy to work with.
Prior to Subscript, all of our metrics were calculated manually on an ad-hoc basis which made desision making in a fast growth environment difficult.
Being multi-currency and multi-product, the ability for the slicing and dicing of data is super simple at the click of a button.
We have been able to work closely with the team at Subscript to enhance features, which has provided additional benefits over and above what we expected when making the decision to partner with Subscript.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

There is nothing I particularly "dislike" with subscript. There are some areas for improvement such as user access management, however the team at Subscript always welcome feedback and have been very responsive to our queries with either quick updates or clarity on the product roadmap.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extremely efficient in providing the metrics that are relevant to different areas of our business.
We have also gained additional insights by having the data on hand, that we would never have seen by using our existing manual reporting.

  ### 11. Intuitive, time-saving, and second-to-none customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

The product is intuitive to use, automates a lot of steps in the invoicing process, and helps with tracking to-dos and keeping everything reconciled. It has saved us a lot of time already, and we still have an opportunity to get more when we're ready to integrate with our CRM. Aside from the product features, the best part about Subscript is the customer service. Of all the software tools I have used over the years, they are by far the most responsive, the best communicators, and the most attentive to answering our questions.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

It's a newer product so it may not yet have all the bells and whistles that a more established product has, but the team is very receptive to feedback and putting things on their roadmap. We've also uncovered a couple minor bugs here and there as early adopters, but the impact has been minimal and they fix them almost immediately.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript helps us automate our subscription invoicing, which saves us time and improves accuracy. It's also helping us collect faster from our customers.

  ### 12. The Best Way to Analyze and Report SaaS Financials and Metrics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad W. | Professor of Business Studies, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

It's reliable, efficient, powerful and easy to use. It allows us to easily upload and analyze complex data. Excellent customer support.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

It's almost too powerful. While the interface is intuitive, it takes a while to learn about all the different ways to analyze and report data.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The entire process of claculating monthly revenue (existing, new, churn, upsell, downsell) and SaaS metrics was a manual, time consuming spreadsheet-based process. Subscript allows us to assess a wider set of metrics with less time and capacity. We now have a more cmplete set of business data and intelligence that allows our management team and board to make more informed decisions.

  ### 13. Great ROI - platform delivers what we need and customer service is exceptional

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Subscript is a fresh approach in the area of SaaS billing and metric management. The team are very responsive and ensure we extract value from our investment. Subscript has replaced our SaaS billing in the enterprise space streamling direct and reseller billing activtiy, Resulting SaaS metrics also make it easier to stay on top of the bigger picture. I would highly recommend a meeting with them.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Not much to dislike. As a new platform there are elements that can improve, but they are extremlely responsive with feedback.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual spreadsheets for billing and SaaS metric reporitng.

  ### 14. Subscript saves me hours every month

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert P. | Mentor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Subscript is great! It automates a lot of reporting and gives us insights into our customer and ARR performance. We can easily slice information to see ARR by customer segment, geography, etc.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Some key metrics we'd expect aren't there, limited custom charting, and integration with Xero.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated reporting and tracking for financial analysis and reporting.

  ### 15. If you are data-driven SAAS company, Subscript is a MUST

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quim S. | CEO and Co-founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

As a user of Subscript, I appreciate their comprehensive approach to tracking SAAS metrics. Their platform offers a wide range of key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be customized to meet the specific needs of our business. Additionally, the platform is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and extract insights from the data. The customer support team at Subscript has also been accommodating, responding promptly to any questions or issues we've had. Overall, I highly recommend Subscript for any business looking to track and analyze its SAAS metrics better.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Instead of focusing on what I dislike about Subscript, I would like to highlight some potential areas for improvement. While I have had a positive experience with the software overall, I think a few features could be enhanced. For example, I would love to see additional integrations with other software tools, which could provide even more value and insights. Additionally, while the platform is user-friendly, I think there could be further improvements to the performance. With the amount of data our company has, sometimes it takes a minute to process and highlight the insights. Waiting a minute to save hours of work on excel is a deal I would make any day of the week. These are relatively minor issues, and I remain delighted with Subscript and the value it provides for my business. On top of that, I know the team listens to their users and builds improvements VERY fast!

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript is solving a crucial problem for my business by providing a comprehensive and customizable platform for tracking SAAS metrics. Before using their software, we manually collected and analyzed data from various sources, which was a time-consuming and error-prone process. With Subscript, we have a centralized location for all of our SAAS metrics and can easily track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to our business. This has helped us identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize our business operations. Furthermore, their platform offers valuable insights and reporting tools that have helped us better understand customer behavior and improve product offerings. For example, using their cohort analysis, we have used it to drive our pricing strategy. Also, their dashboards make investor meetings painless because I have everything one click away. Overall, Subscript has been a game-changer for our business, allowing us to streamline operations and drive growth.

  ### 16. Do you know how your SaaS is doing?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Subscript brings the financial metrics of your SaaS front and center without worrying if you screwed up a spreadsheet formula or data entry. Being able to see the financial health of your company at a moment's notice is extremely helpful. I'm both a co-founder and head of product/engineering and the cohort analysis specifically is incredibly useful to understand customer lifecycle.

We've also been able to segment customers by profile and really hone in on the financial impact of sticking to our ideal customer profile, feels like that would have taken ages to do in Excel.

In addition the Subscript team is incredible! Incredibly collaborative, takes great product feedback, and everyone is just fun to work with. One of easist SaaS products for me to recommend to other founders by far.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

I have no strong dislikes about working with Subscript. There are certainly a few tweaks or developments I'd like to see, but that's common to all SaaS products. I have strong confidence the team has heard these asks and given them their due consideration. Synchronizing anything with Salesforce.com is a bit of a headache, but the team has always been extremely responsive in the rare event there's a challenge in making the two systems talk.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a founder, Subscript helps me understand the financial direction we're heading in at a glance as well as speak to our primary metrics comfortably in planning and at the board level.

As a product leader Subscript is fantastic at helping me understand our product-market fit by understanding the revenue behavior of different customer profiles across cohorts. I'm able understand whic customers are stickiest, when customers are most at risk to churn in their lifecycle, which are most valuable etc. They've done the heavy lifting of organizing the data, I just have to read the charts they're able to create.

  ### 17. A great solution for SaaS metrics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

I like that Subscript integrates with HubSpot, our CRM. I also really appreciate Subscript's excellent customer service; everyone is very responsive, including their leadership team.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

We onboarded Subscript during our transition from Salesforce to HubSpot. That required us to upload historical deal data from Salesforce Excel exports and validate it in Subscript. This isn't a fault or limitation of Subscript, but it was an onerous exercise that resulted from poor timing on our part. Ultimately, the historical deal data was loaded into HubSpot and we overwrote what we'd initially loaded via Excel, so there was "one source of truth" for all of our deal data.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscript augments the SaaS metrics we get from HubSpot and provides a welcome alternative to data manipulation in Excel when performing cohort analyses and calculating MRR and retention.

  ### 18. Software and the people knowledge help us tremendously

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam L. | Growth Operations Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

I love how their knowledge of financial concepts and best practices combines well with the software they deliver. The insights provided by their charts and tools help us easily understand our business. And not just for the people that look at them everyday. For the departments that look once a week, or the investors that will look at it one time- the data and charts help us communicate financial information so much easier. But the thing that makes Subscript really helpful is their understanding of finance. They basically help do financial consulting for saas companies and we love it. we understand our business, but getting someone with 1) fresh eyes and 2) a general knowledge of the way other companies run finances is extremely helpful. And we have MULTIPLE instances where we adopted recommendations they made on reporting and tracking customers/deals/transactions.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

They're also a startup! which means that they're building out products. Occassionally I find bugs, but never anything major. and everything is resolved within a day.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

they're solving how to understand our subscription business (what business are we winning and what are we losing). that benefits us because we can use all the data to help communicate internally and externally what we need to do and what we are doing well. We've been showing the data to our marketing team about how certain deals stay customers longer when they join via email campaigns vs website. We've been showing what products churn more to our product team and we are working on helping CS to understand how their costs affect subscriptions as well. it impacts the entire company.

  ### 19. An awesome tool for revenue insights for scaling businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

Subscript makes it so easy to see revenue trends from any perspective -- whether its customer segments, date ranges, TTM reporting, or a little bit of everything!

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

Hard to find much negative for what the platform is! When we've experienced road blocks, the Subscript team has helped us figure it out ASAP!

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Subscript, we had a messy CRM and ERP that werent talking to eachother. Subscript has given us the tools to understand our revenue metrics so well!

  ### 20. Useful tool for exec teams and exciting innovation around forecasting and revenue modeling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Subscript?**

The Subscript team has been wonderful partners every step of the way.

**What do you dislike about Subscript?**

I have at times had trouble manipulating the interface, specifcally for the purpose of drilldowns.

**What problems is Subscript solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aligning on a point of view across the executive team related to our financial metrics without everyone having to have access to our CRM and our accounting tools.
