"Solid Edge review"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge never crashed when I worked with it. It does get slow at times, especially when working with large assemblies, but it handles it eventually. It is well connected with other Siemens tools like Teamcenter, but work fine on its own as well. I find the interface simple for some basic usage. For me, the best thing about Solid Edge is Synchronous Technology. It allows the user to change the geometry without searching through operations history and save time if some last minute changes on the part are required. Solid Edge is very good for sheet metal modeling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge is not beginner friendly. It is hard to find tutorials and documentation, and if you do find some it is usually not that helpfull. Some functions of the software are hard to find if you are not an experienced user. If you are working on large assemblies it can get slow. Having used SolidWorks and NX as well, I can't say that I am not impressed with Solid Edge. For small companies and freelance work it can offer some value, but for more advanced work I wolud not recommend it over SolidWorks or NX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
