## Smart Service Reviews
  ### 1. Meh

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

I've been using this for about 13 years. It has evolved over the years but it has not improved much. The biggest assest is that it does integrate well with quickbooks. It does make scheduling and billing simple. This is the best features.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

It is extremely buggy and crashes frequently.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and billing.

  ### 2. Interesting software to manage time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberts S. | Ceo @ Bar "manana ", Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

I like the solutionSmafrft Service offers for managing scheduling and calendar for personal and professional use. I also think such solutions are essential benefits for companies' growth. Also, a great way to synchronize digital services.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

I'm not too fond of the difficulty of accessing a few features. I would make the software with a different interface for better customer usage. Colors within the platform would suit better if they were would-be brighter. I think it's essential to use correct colors when creating a brand.

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

My suggestion is to try as many services as possible, there is a variety of options that can fit your business.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems Smart Service solves are managing time and scheduling events and things to do. It is essential to keep track of things to do; this is an excellent way to accomplish it.

  ### 3. Pretty awful all the way around, with little redemption.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

When it works (make sure you pay your bill or...) The software is not the worst to use the schedule is nice, the ability to open customers and see when you were over is also not bad.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

Miss a payment, the next day, the software will crash (they of course) never heard of this no matter how many times I ran into this. The tech line is a joke. I called as it was not letting me load my call list. When I told the tech line , he said reinstall in yet again on the iPad I explained I have now done this every day. This is a new iPad, and I have changed from my Samsung tablet as that also was the problem. He got short with me and my helper I ended up having to leave a ccustomer's house to get internet (we were in the middle of nowhere) reinstalled for a 4th time that week. I paid for what they told me was a lifetime of tablet software they could not find it. When I emailed them the receipt, they promptly lost it, and I had to send it again. They were unsure of what that was about. They also explained you could skip a year on updates, to that they added they would knock the billing off for that upgrade, but that was a one-time thing; I have to pay every year regardless of anything. I feel that I should have recorded our interaction, so I had something to fall back on. I have since written a person that calls trying to get me to renew but never seem to be able to get a response.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to get someone that will not snap when I ask what happened to the company I purchased from and maybe get this overpriced under-functioning software back to being used correctly.

  ### 4. Monitor your crews and dispatch efficiently

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

I use Smart Service on a daily basis to make sure that everyone dispatched on time, are in route and spending the adequate amount of hours on each job. The mobile feature called iFleet is great. It gives you real time location of where your employee is through an iPad that they use. They generate service tickets which are a great and professional way to show for our work to the customers, incase they weren’t on site.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

It is somewhat complicated interface and it takes some time to get used to. Not particularly user friendly, but customer service is beyond helpful and will always walk you through any issue

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest one would be the employees “milking the clock”. You are able to see how long they are taking on a job and they now that.

  ### 5. Excellent Fleet Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate S. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

Their customer service is so helpful. They go above and beyond to solve our issues. The software itself is so functional, ease of use is undeniable.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

We wish sending email reminders for upcoming appointments was a more intuitive feature.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dispatching our team, and managing customer history is now a seamless and integrated experience.

  ### 6. Helps keep organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Nothing much that I dislike about it. It did the job needed to be done.

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

it works well. I would suggest to try it.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 7. Best price, awesome support, All in one

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

We love the prices! Compared to all of the other similar software. Price is key here! They are always updating, and making adding new features from recommendations that users suggest.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

We used to have a lot of issues, but I think it was more about learning the software than it was the actual software itself. After we got a good idea on how things flowed, it seems like the problems have decreased.

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

I recommend you take your time, and learn the ropes before implementing the service completely. I dont know if it was lack of training with my company, but it took us a good 3 years to fully understand everything, and that was a lot of trail and error on my part. We are a small family owned company, and I joined the team a month or so after converting to Smart service, They were previously using icloud for appointments and etc. There was a lot of clean up when carrying over client info from icloud to smart service, and I was never given an actual training on the full system. In the beginning, we were making jobs for every single thing, never recurring them and that was a headache, now it is such a breeze.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are about to go paperless, we are doing mass emails, scheduling, etc

  ### 8. SmartService Overall

Love that techs can see history of the customers, less phone calls to the office

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

We haven't phone anything we dislike yet.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving scheduling conflicts, able to send techs out by city and saving on fuel expense

  ### 9. Overall a impressive program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle P. | Customer Service Support Specialist, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

I like the ability to look up information quickly about previous jobs my company has completed. Being able to sort items in many different ways is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

There are too many glitches and could use a better flow. To be able to change information without going to so many screens would be much more efficient.

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

It is a great program if you have many different things to schedule at the same time. I does make things easier.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't done any problem solving because that is not something I do in my job. Being able to group jobs together in many different ways makes things much easier.

  ### 10. Good field service for small businesses

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

Value priced software with a growing list of features. Works well with job costing in QuickBooks if you manage multiple customer job sites and pieces of equipment for service work mainly.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

Reporting out of Smart Service is limited as well as custom fields. Often experience small issues during updates

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

Best for service only companies

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dispatching multiple service techs to customer sites very easily with a visually appealing schedule and manage quote to invoicing process

  ### 11. Great program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

Syncs with Quick-books for digital scheduling. Easy to use and customer support is easily accessible. The webinars are very helpful and always bring out new tips that we were unaware of. The program is constantly being updated and improved.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

The lag time between syncing when updating customer information.

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a scheduling software. It is easy to use and very great for customer support. By far the best program I have used in a long time.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer repair calls and scheduling on routing. Able to route properly and have best use of appointment times. Able to direct service calls to the right areas and utilize their time efficiently.

  ### 12. Amazing Field Technology and QuickBooks Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robynn P. | Sales Assistant, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

QuickBooks integration is wonderful because you can invoice from SmartService and see the customer's balance.

The features it offers for the field staff are great, we have never had the option of tracking time in real time on a job and generate payroll for it. It is very user friendly for a typical iphone user.

The company is always listening to real world scenarios and using those to improve the software, they have really made many improvements based off of our feedback.

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

Purchase Order linking limitation. We link our expenses to a job and it would be better if this aspect of the program was more robust. It is great on the AR side, not so much on the AP side.

Having a manual for this program would have been great. We received short training sessions but were left to figure things out for ourselves and in many cases had to re-invent the wheel once we figured out our processes didn't receive the desired result we expected. I realize every business if different so you have to make it work for you but there are many options we "found" that a manual would have easily explained.

Proposals and Work Orders need a numbering system because after using this program for more then a year the jobs get convoluted and it is hard to find things. We can't close jobs like the program is made to do because we use job costing for reports.

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

Ask A LOT of questions during the training. Really think your set-up and business process through before diving into it. It takes some time to set-up and get working properly, don't take your back-up system down. HAVE A BACKUP FOR TIMEKEEPING while starting out IF you use it for payroll. It took our field staff some time to get it down without mistakes.

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Job Costing was a huge grey area, now we have accurate, down to the minute job costing on every job. The items are linked to the job and payroll which is wonderful. There is a great history of the account at our fingertips as well.

  ### 13. Excellent easy worth every penny

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Smart Service?**

Smart service is easy to schedule and resolve issues. Create tickets and manage appointments with addresses. We have used smart service for years to track our service appointments and some of our sales appointments. I would recommend this to any small business looking for an affordable managing software

**What do you dislike about Smart Service?**

I dislike how it looks a little old. It is great and works perfectly but could use a facelift. Reminds me a lot of office 2007 in terms of looks however it functions great. I wish it had a little bit more expandability but it is a decent stable product that is easy to train people to use

**Recommendations to others considering Smart Service:**

Try it out it is great for small businesses however if you are an intermediate company it can be lacking significantly

**What problems is Smart Service solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Service calls and sales appointments. We also have our customer database in it.
