**What do you like best about Remotely?**

1. Transparent cost model
2. Optimization for parallel timezones. 
3. A very good recruiting process that pinpointed applicants with relevant experience. 
4. Really high quality engineers; compared with all other international augmentations we've previously done.

**What do you dislike about Remotely?**

I haven't seen a downside yet. Recruiting timeframes are abbreviated compared to US timelines.

**Recommendations to others considering Remotely:**

Use your existing interviewing and hiring process!

**What problems is Remotely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During the pandemic, the software engineering labor market was super tight. But remote work made it possible to recruit across the US and -- theoretically -- in global locations that are in parallel timezones. 

We had no idea how to access that pool of talent or handle payment, HR and compliance. That's when we met Remotely. They helped us source, recruit, retain and abstract away the operational parts. The team members we hired via Remotely are of the highest caliber in advanced disciplines like data science and scalable data engineering. I highly recommend Remotely with no reservations.

**What do you like best about Remotely?**

Honestly, everyone we worked with was amazing both on the personal and

professional level. And it's been an amazing experience for me. 

I really like Remotely's model and how transparent it is. You get to negotiate with the developers and actually know that the developers are taken care of regarding, PTO and vacation, and the help with equity was also excellent.

We wanted to send our teammate a Christmas gift, and even though that team member isn't under remotely, Remotely helped us complete this challenge, which I don't take for granted. The response time for everything, everything was truly amazing.

The candidates were really on point. We had a great process working with Remotely's team and had lots of discussions about how the hiring process should look like regarding the number of interviews. And working together, we were able to find a solution that addressed the English. 

Level, where instead of having our recruiters do an additional round of interviews, they watched the videos from the candidates. It was really good.

**What do you dislike about Remotely?**

Can't think of anything! They have been great to work with and I'm really happy with my experience working with them so far!

**What do you like best about Remotely?**

The outcome. The engineering manager we hired was most excited by the equity piece of it, which I see as really important because we're not filtering from people who want to join an agency who want to join us. That motivation structure for the employee is fundamental in getting the right talent and then in the selection process of matching the right people. To this day the Eng Manager is still an amazing hire and fit with the company - one of the best people I've hired throughout my career (including before the startup).

**What do you dislike about Remotely?**

I wish we could use Remotely for hiring outside of tech roles! I think they're expanding, but their strength is really in engineering and related roles. We were looking for a CSM and would've loved to use them.

**What problems is Remotely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before remotely, we had a massive problem with hiring. It was just me, my co-founder, and one other engineer, so hiring was difficult because it took up all of my time. Also, the obvious one, today's market it's highly competitive and challenging. We wanted to increase our pool of candidates, which in a remote world means expanding outside of the US; meanwhile, we also wanted to stay in a closer timezone. When understanding more about setting up an entity, we found it was super expensive. And then, more importantly, just having the right network would take a lot of time to build, and we're not well connected in other countries.

**What do you like best about Remotely?**

It's been wonderful working with Remotely! Having support and people actually in Latin America to help us navigate certain things regarding employment in the region and navigating cultural norms has been really valuable. We hired two developers via Remotely. Onboarding them was smooth, they are exceptional developers overall and interested in startups even beyond just working for a US company. They are fully embedded in our team, which was the goal.

**What do you dislike about Remotely?**

Not much comes to mind, honestly. Remotely provides great support.

**What problems is Remotely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building a remote-first team and found that hiring top talent overseas was an excellent way to extend our runway and deliver a robust product.
