What do you like best?
Ranorex helps speed up the automation process and good to get upto speed with quickly. Its easy to learn and pick up but has the ability to enhance functionality by manually adding user codes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
It has some quirks around not being able to certain things which are limited by design. These are generally possible in a selenium coding environment but obviously take longer to create. also, it doesn't support flutter for mobile app testing.
The other major issue that we keep hitting is Ranorex requires access to the gui aspect of window. So unlike with Selenium, where you can to a degree continue to use your machine for other activites, it requires full control of your machine. This means your local machine (if running tests locally) will be redundant for the duration of your test run. The other issue relating to this is it seems to be a nightmare to actually get this working with Jenkins. The machine need to be run with a Jeenkins node but requires it to be a physical machine. We tried various virtual solutions but as our test pack is heavily image validation oriented is seems to be impossible to get a clean run on a virtual machine without spending thousands to create a real-like virtual machine (at which point its cheaper to buy a real machine).
another issue we are facing is multiple users working with Ranorex is a nightmare, doing code review, code completion etc. we always have a nightmare when it comes to code merge time, its usually the most scariest time know full well someone will likely loose all their work and we will have to rebuild the tests Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
I'm not using Ranorex for very long but what I can say so far is that It is very easy to learn thanks to the tutorials on the Homepage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes Ranorex does not execute the tests the same way. But maybe the System I am running is too slow. But what I mostly disklike is the fact that every time i create a new project i have to change the target CPU when i want to execute it with an Agent , becaouse otherwise Ranorex Studio is failing to start the BIT BRIDGE or somthing like that ( I don't remember the exact error message ) . My last thing i do nt like about Ranorex Studio is the fact that if I start Ranorex with the Desktop Shortcut , which is created by Ranorex, it always starts with the 32 BIT Version the therfore most of my test can not finde the modules in our software. Also projects wich are created in a 32 BIT version and are later started in the 64 BIT version also can not find the modules . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
Ranorex is easy to use by non programmer , it's a plus for small business and allow the tools to be use by all member in the QA team. The use of standard language like c# allow the developer to get a lot of help from the develloper and allow the code to do so much that other system like selenium can't do.
The repo allow fast modification when change on the interface. The keyword/Record function is a good to way to begin.The support team are always available to help and the product have a great community to help you when you're facing issue or difficulty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
The only downside is that Ranorex is not free. But after introducing the applications on multiple entreprise I confirm that the cost of maintenance and work needed are less than the initial cost of the applications for similar work with other product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
Easy to use but with great advanced features when you start to dig down into the software. Any time I ran into something I didn't know how to do then the support team were right on the ball with how to help me, including clear to follow instructions and examples.
Anyone can start using the software with no coding experience required. Ranorex even includes multiple helpers built in to aid with the most common use cases. Simple functionality for selecting objects within the app using the Ranorex Spy tool. Building the test cases is done almost entirely without code which is great for users who are not developers. What do you dislike?
There are a couple of features which other automation platforms have which aren't in Ranorex in standard, such as the ability to clear the app cache using pre-existing functionality. This can be worked around with using ADB and some minor coding though.
Could do with more options regarding if/else/while test situations as these mostly have to be dealt with by writing C# code as opposed to using the existing tools.
JIRA integration could be better. Would be nice to attach a report of the test run to a JIRA ticket that is in a format readable outside of Ranorex (e.g. PDF). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
Execution is fast ,identifieing the object using tracing and reporting formate.
Jump to perticular code line from report is very good fetuer.
due to this we need to search which line which file we got the error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
Identifing the table when it is having more rows of data is very difficult.
When we google for ranoex any method is not showing the direct results.
Data binding concept are not very user freindly to use.
When ever we open ranorex it is asking the Admin rights to open.
due to this to use ranoex person should have admin rights which it team will not give admin access.

What do you like best?
Ranorex is easy to use, has a lot of features, is possible to use in many different projects and technologies. We have a real problem with automation of some old banking systems applications. Ranorex is a great solution for this.
Another important thing for us is very good test reporting feature that allows us to analyze problems very easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes it is a little bit slower than simple frameworks, but those features are worth it. Ranorex is quite expensive tool also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not always stable, some of the new technologies are not supported.
Not cutting-edge like some other test automation software.

What do you like best?

What do you like best?
There are many things which i liked about Ranorex. The ease of writing new tests without being expert in programming. Starting a test from anywhere or testing any line without running the full test. The Ranorex Spy tool, which makes finding web elements really easy and the cross testing feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
We are using Ranorex for Web testing and sometimes it annoying to manually test the wait time or delay. Ranorex just clicks somewhere, even the element is not yet there and then the failure comes in next step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ranorex is the most amazing software when it comes to WinForms testing.

sometimes the xpaths and elements of external called apps such as IE are not correctly found. and wpf validation isnt perfect yet. but you can just create custom modules for that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
1) User friendly UI
2) No need very good expert in any other tool. If you have basic knowledge of Programming knowledge you can start immediately.
