## About Otus
The Otus Student Performance Platform is a hybrid of three different types of systems: a learning management system, a formative and summative assessment system, and a data warehouse. In addition to these core functionalities, Otus also contains several classroom management tools including digital portfolios, seating charts, communication tools, and more. Instead of K-12 schools needing to use individual solutions and then worry about integrating all of them, Otus is the single platform that can be used by teachers, students, families, and administrators to unify their technology around a common platform.

## Otus Reviews
  ### 1. Standards based learning tool with some major flaws for interacting with Parents

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Otus?**

It is good for educating parents and students on standards based learning. System is fairly easy to use and understand if the student is meeting the standard.

**What do you dislike about Otus?**

It's biggest downside is that it requires both the parent and the student be in the system on a consistant basis in order to understand how the student is doing. There is no push notifications to the parents. This makes it challenging for parents to collaborate with teachers in situations where standards are not being met and/or there are missing assessments. Parents need to login weekly or more to fully understand what is happening with their student. Often all is well so they don't login...except until things are not well and the teacher needs to email the parent to inform them. This creates extra work for the teacher and the parent.

**What problems is Otus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding of students are meeting standards.

  ### 2. Gradebook and More

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Otus?**

I like all the options and added features Otus has. I like how it automatically saves the grades/points I enter in each time.

**What do you dislike about Otus?**

When you are customizing standards. It takes about 5 steps to be able to enter the points for the standard.

**What problems is Otus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps parents be able to see much more of how their child is doing. Map testing scores are included in each students profiles. I like how i can email straight from Otus.
