What do you like best about Optum Advisory Services?

Nothing, Optum Rx has brought all of my years long medications to a grinding halt by refusing to fill any of them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optum Advisory Services?

Denying all of my prior authorizations because you don't deem them "medically necessary". My doctor does, that's why they prescribed it. And some half wit behind a desk with zero medical background somehow knows better than my treating physician? I've been on all of my medications for YEARS. They're obviously medically necessary. Because of the refusal to actually keep my medications refilled, my body is being ruined. Are you all trying to kill me? Because after a month of fighting to get any basic prescriptions filled to no avail, it certainly feels like it. The lack of communication is grossly negligent. You keep cancelling any refill you somehow miraculously approved without saying anything so I have to check the status daily, only to make yet another phone call begging for my doctor prescribed treatment. I get my medicine if and when they choose to send it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optum Advisory Services?

Recently they sent only part of my refills and since I have informed the company "No auto refills " they went ahead and sent me only part of the refills. Now they refuse to send me the rest of my order. They say I didn't pay for the first order when my bank showed me the date they received the money. I call daily requesting my medications be released and they continue to refuse-today saying they changed their policy and I have to provide a credit card number or pay through mail. I have paid directly through BillPay with my bank for years and never had a problem. If my payment is not showing up either someone is incompetent at their job or someone is embezzling. "Great for Employee HSA Accounts"
What do you like best about Optum Advisory Services?

OptumRX is an excellent platform for keeping track of employee HSA funds, recording receipts of health transactions, finding information on HSA coverage, and paying expenses. The site tracks recent, pending and scheduled transactions, making it easy to track and plan for future costs. OptumRX also provides users with a debit card for these transactions, which is very helpful and convenient. The funds are automatically deposited into employees' accounts twice a month and are available to spend immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optum Advisory Services?

If users get behind on reconciling expenses, it can get hard to keep track of the missing receipts. The platform does not pair the receipts to the expenses, so it cannot tell you which expenses are missing reciepts. Manually comparing the uploaded receipts to the current expenses is the only way to resolve this and can be time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Optum Advisory Services?

Optum has its ups and downs just like any other program, but it does have an excellent direction for use. There are a lot of good features that help you along while using the program. I Have no troubles in looking for the patient eligibility or searching for claims and other claim related information. You can add the patients to your front screen and never have to input the information again. It also gives you a breakdown of what they owe, if their deductible is met and if you need authorization for services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optum Advisory Services?

The actual downside of this program is if you are not associated with a specific practice anymore, then you need them to remove you from the rooster from Optum, and you are unable to remove yourself. It only bothers me because you want to cut all ties with a facility, and if the facility has a harmful practice, you are genuinely fighting to gain control of yourself and your name.
