**What do you like best about Magna5?**

I have great appreciation for Magna5's exceptional cyber security services, which provide me with peace of mind by securing our organization's sensitive data from cyber-attacks, particularly during non-working hours. The real-time threat detection capability stands out as particularly valuable to me, as it ensures our designs are protected from cyber threats around the clock. Magna5's end-to-end protection and continuous monitoring during the night make them a trusted IT partner. Additionally, I value the support from the US-based SOC help desk, which is immensely helpful in resolving any threats I encounter swiftly and efficiently. Knowing that data breaches are detected timely allows me to rest easy, knowing our critical information is safe. My confidence in their ability to safeguard our company's assets 24/7 is further solidified by their desire to provide uninterrupted firewall and intrusion prevention systems. Overall, Magna5's comprehensive approach and reliable support have greatly contributed to our security efforts.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

I would like to have a help desk from India to better address time zone and regional needs. Additionally, I would appreciate receiving an emailed response for every cyber threat along with an alarm notification.

I use Magna5 to secure our data from cyber-attacks with real-time threat detection, safeguarding our designs and providing peace of mind. Their end-to-end protection during non-working hours and US-based SOC help desk are invaluable.

Excellent customer service, and quickly solve any issues we may have. They are proactive on provide better solutions for our business.

Nothing. They have been awesome while we have used their service.

We recently switched to Magna5 from another MSP, and we haven't regret it for one second. We were constantly having issues with our previous provider being able to answer basic questions. Solving issues turned into days instead of minutes it's hours. Magna5 surpassed them in no time.

I like the depth of knowledge about the products we have them assist in supporting.

Honestly, there really aren't any downsides to using Magna5.  I didn't care for some of the contract language.

Talk to them about possibilities.  What your needs are and pricing.

Our biggest issue is lack of qualified help.  We can only do so much with available personnel.

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

The knowledge of their technicians, responsiveness, advice and proposed solutions have always been "spot-on". Whether it be their managed services, monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, procurement, licensing, etc., our dealings have been great experiences.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

Initially, we were a bit skeptical that Stablenet was merging with Magna5; however, after initial discussions with the Magna5 CEO and our experiences since the merger, we discovered this was unfounded.

**Recommendations to others considering Magna5:**

Anyone considering a local MSP in the Charlotte metro area should reach out to Magna5. They will find they are great and offer super services at fair prices.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This team re-architected our entire infrastructure, helped us change ISPs, moved us from MPLS to SD-WAN and designed and implemented a new active directory for our enterprise. All of this was done in record time. Since then, they have helped us implement a DR site, configure replication and failover, and documented everything along the way. We have since implemented backup cellular failover solutions with their assistance and are wrapping up a centralized managed WiFi solution.

The backup team at Magna5 is always quick to repond and very knowldegeable of our setup and requirements.

No significant downsides to using Magna5.  All of the team memebrs I work with a re accessible, knowadgeable and easy to get along with.

Make sure to use ther resources (people and systems).   Taking advantage of everything they have to offer makes a big difference and makes any follow-up reporting easy.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Among other things, Magna5 currently manages the daily backups of our production systems including OS and database backups.  They provide detailed results daily and are there to support us in the event of issues with any ascpet of our daily backups.

A shaded generality is thrown around the IT community when it comes to MSP's - and Magna 5 breaks that stereotype with aplomb.  Solid and reliable account manager, impressive tier 3 systems support, and a tier 1 unit that I honestly have no inhibition to send my staff to for support.

I don't have much if any negative feedback to provide.

Magna5 performed a tenant migration for our company when we separated from a sister entity.  Our circumstances required an incredibly demanding timeline that Magna5 succeeded in achieving.

24/7 access to support resources when a problem occurs, because most issues occur outside of normal business hours.

The an astonishing amount of emails and messages to try to sift through once a request is made. 

Long bossy surveys like this one that take too much time and are so persnickety you spend more time trying to submit successfully than reviewing.

Try Magna5 services a step at a time to be sure you know what youare really getting.

Thier helpdesk process is easy to use, and staff are knowledgeable. Magna5 does a great job of explaining technical processes/environments to non technical users.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

I would like to see more recommendations from their team on new tech or solutions that would help our evironment be more efficient. My company uses Microsoft 365. I would like to see a specialist on their staff that could help us understand and get the full benefits of the 365 suite.

**Recommendations to others considering Magna5:**

I know enough about IT to get me in trouble. I can handle a lot of day to day issues but Magna5 has been a huge help when I am busy with other duties or I get in over my head. We have monthly meetings that give us an opportunity to discuss any ongoing issues and presents a time for my company to request any information from them. I also have the ability to pick up the phone and call the Director of Partnerships and Cliet Sucess. This employee has always been very responsive and a huge asset when we are in a pinch or need information. Aside from the typical day to day functions of a 3rd party IT company, which Magna5 has been great at, I feel their biggest strength is the ability to communicate effectivly with cutomers that are not IT professionals.

Magna5 supports our company by supplementing our staff with daily IT needs, managing our Microsoft 365 account, and providing solutions to our IT goals.

I love the support portal.  I can look at all my outstanding tickets and update or close them when a problem has been resolved.  Very easy to use.

Sometimes being in a different time zone with techs.  Getting our tickets scheduled with the correct time.

**Recommendations to others considering Magna5:**

Set up a call and have your questions ready.  They will answer those questions in that call or get back to you with those answers.  Set up was pretty seamless.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had some significant issues with our previous IT company.  Magna5 worked patiently with us to resolve those issues and was able to set a call weekly to review problems and come up with solutions.

Cost seems a bit steep, but so far we have gotten value for our dollar.

We have utilized Magna5 for several years for: server and environment builds, hosting & monitoring, hosting our Office 365 environment, providing/configuring additional security services like MFA and Microsoft Defender and supplemental helpdesk support.

Their knowledge, professionalism and collaborative approach help us find solutions that work for our business.

Have not had a reason to dislike anything about them so far.

Augmenting our IT environment and services with hosted solutions & support. We have been able to utilize applications with a very small in-house IT (1 person) department because Magna5 acts as our outsourced IT. We can take advantage of technologies that would be too costly to pursue and maintain on our own.

Our MSP. Internet service, desktop security, Active Directory management, file storage and backup. Our most recent major project was upgrading our server licenses and moving to a different storage and backup configuration.

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

Support is fairly responsive. Likeable staff. They have some people who are excellent at their jobs - diagnose problems quickly, provide an accurate solution. When we find those people, we do our best to get direct access to them because they are reliable.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

Don't really look out for us. I have to prompt them for service. We have had software or services that expired before we got notification. I have found multiple missing patches where their patching service failed and no one seemed to notice ... or care. They appear to have a lot of inexperienced first-level support staff. We have had many occasions where we have to them what to fix ... then battle with them to not waste 45 minutes following a troubleshooting script instead of listening to us.

**Recommendations to others considering Magna5:**

I seem to run into 2 different types of MSPs -- those who partner with you and those who do for you. I think Magna5 prefers to be a "do for you" organization by taking all administration and configuration off your hands. If that is what you're looking for, they will do fine. If you are inclined toward wanting to keep your hand in some of the administration, they will do that -- but I'm not sure it makes them happy. :-)

They are more of a break-fix operation than a strategic partner. They don't engage with me about ways to do things better - unless they have a product they are selling.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They seem to have a good security service, which is important to us. The recent security upgrade seems to be solid and covers a lot more than it used to cover. With the Covid pandemic and the resulting move of many staff to working at home, we have been working with them to figure out a better configuration for our services that serves people who are working at home.

Initially we put in Managed routers and switches with redundant Internet lines. We then Began using managed server backups with CommVault. We then moved to sentinelOne Cybersecurity Monitoring. we are now in the process of moving our servers to the Magna5 cloud

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

Outstanding Helpdesk knowledge and their ability to round up technicians to resolve an issue if there is one.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

There is not much I dislike. Magna5 is extreamly responsive to our needs

**Recommendations to others considering Magna5:**

I Highly recommend Magna5 for ANy of the services that I am currently using. I can not comment on Magna5's other services but I am sure they are as professional as the ones I am using

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have 12 year old servers that are beginning to be an obvious issue. Worked with Magna5 and are in the middle of resolving the issue by moving the servers to their cloud with state of the art servers.

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

Response times, thoroughness and completeness in responses, detailed information that they gather and share for reporting, assistance with understanding a problem before providing the solution.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

Like any large company, there is bureaucracy.  It can be both good and bad.  In most cases, it has been good, but occasionally it slows a response time on getting proper approval.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicker responses and solutions when employees are having problems with their computers or our network.  They provide better updates and have better technology for tracking tickets than our previous IT provider.

Since they have become bigger the personalized service isn't always there.

For the cost and the amount of services they offer, Magna5 is the best in the business.

Prior to me having this position, Magna5 helped with moving our physical servers off site and monitors all of them.

That I typically get the same several employees to help so I get to know them better.

Sometimes, when there is an urgent need, they may be working on it but we don't get communication stating the progress of resolving the issue.

We have had to decommission a handful of computers in the last few weeks.  Magna was there to help get my employees back up and running again on their new machines.

They are very thourough and always make sure you have been taken care of.

Not always but sometimes the response time is more then I would like

Working with them on getting MultiFactor authentication instituted more commonly in our office.  The benefit is making our business more secure.

They house our accounting software and support us now that we all work from home as well.  Most of the time the response time is fast and the issue is resolved in a very timely manner.

When we have a tough request from one of our clients and Magna 5 makes it happen.  It makes our clients happy and makes us all look good!

No knowing how to fix our check printing

Allowing the tax accountants we work with the ability to view multiple accounts with out losing the integrity of all RDP users.

We have used Magna5 to help with several projects, both in the past and currently.  On an ongoing basis, we are using them for after hours helpdesk support to supplement our small IT team.  We are also using Magna5 to manage our file server backups using Commvault

On a one-off basis, we are using Magna5 to help us  refresh our VMWare and storage environments.  This includes replacing ESXi Hosts servers that are being used for storage.  During this project, we will also have Magna5 upgrade our VMware environment to the newest version and ensure everything is communicating and operating correctly.  Additionally, we use Magan5 for vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.  We have vulnerability scans performed quarterly and have penetration tests performed annually.

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

The project staff is very knowledgeable and are very accommodating with installs and maintenance windows  They have several resources that can help during the project and will work with us to ensure we have what we need in order to be successful with the project deployments.  The project managers are very knowledgeable with products they are using, and they allow us to learn as we go so we can support the products after installs are completed.   Having Magna5 manage our file server backups also takes a lot of work off our small IT staff's hands.  They do a great job of sending daily reports of backup statuses and will work with us if any files need restored, or if there are issues with the backups.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

The after hours support is sometimes slow.  On occasion, we have users that call in and leave a message and don't receive return calls for a long period of time.  They also sometimes do not forward ticket information to the appropriate IT staff if a situation needs to be escalated.  This results in a delay for our end users getting their issues addressed and fixed so they can get back to work.

**Recommendations to others considering Magna5:**

I would highly recommend Magna 5 for any infrastructure projects that are needed.  They are very reliable and I feel confident in recommending them.  They offer a ton of different services and have provided us with great service for those that we have used.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small IT team and having Magna5 available to us helps with larger projects that we don't have the manpower or knowledge base for.  This frees us up to perform daily tasks and keeps us available to our end users during those large projects.  The after hours support helps free up our IT staff on nights and weekends to enjoy their lives and not need to always be near a phone or computer in the event an issue arises.

When I first came to Magna5, I was using a vendor that didn't know how to service my company.  It was so frustrating and probably the most stressful time for me in my business.  Justin and DaShawn stepped in and took over my account.  I would be shaking when I opened my door in the morning to my office worried about the IT situation.  It is the only part of my business I don't know how to fix.  DaShawn and his team fixed all my issues and gave me confidence in my technology.  My business is financial and I rely heavily on my technology.  It has to work and we can't afford to be down.   They walk me through my systems and are my partners as the business and our needs have grown.  We are very dependent on our technology so we need to have immediate response when we have any issues.  They step in and handle things when they aren't running as they should.  Most of the time it is software or internet issues - they are there for us 24/7.

The security and convenience of the platform have been key for us, but during the pandemic became all the more important.  Rather than our staff having to share mobile or home phone numbers, we were able to move staff to remote working and still maintain the same accessibility at their office numbers with Magna5's software-based solution in cases where reps did not have Magna5's hardware in their home offices or did not bring them home from the office when the 2020 lockdown went into effect.  Our ability to be reached by customers and communicate on projects was seamless.

The intuitive nature of the VOIP solutions, and the consistent up-time, especially versus other VOIP solutions I have used in the past.  Too many VOIP solutions are not much more than "here's a number and a clunky app to use it" - the Magna5 solution goes much further, with configurable options allowing users to interact with the platform securely via many channels.

As a VOIP solution you are somewhat hindered by whatever bandwidth limitations you may have at your home office, but Magna5 has overcome that with mobile access and other options to allow workers to adapt to their environment but still carry their office number with them.

Consistent ability to reach our colleagues, and have our customers engage with us without having to gather new contact details.  Too often, we can't reach out customers at the phone numbers we're used to using, whereas our clients are able to directly engage with us without missing a beat or having to waste time emailing and scheduling virtual meetings just to reach their contact.

I like the responsiveness of their team, when we have issues their engineers are spot on and easy to wok with. When we had a switch issue, when it could not be resolved remotely, they dispatched an engineer to be onsite to fix the issue. He spent 8 hours fixing everything and making sure we were taken care of.

The architects stepped in when needed for more complex issues and got them resolved in a quick manner.  The help desk staff were very qualified and held many different certifications. The problems we bring to Magna5 are often deeply technical and quite often deal with networking issues.  Our most recent project with Magna5 was a firewall upgrade.  They helped us identify a product that best met our needs and then configured that firewall ahead of time for us.  When it came time to deploy the new firewalls, the deployment was seamless and we had no issues.  Magna5 has an extraordinary in-house talent that has always been capable of handling all of the technology needs we have ever had.  That is one huge benefit of working with Magna5 and why we have continued to use them despite other companies constantly trying to offer us their competing services.

Through Magna5 we were able to bundle our hardware, license, and support costs to scale smoothly from a cost and technology standpoint.  When the time came for us to launch a formal customer service call center, Magna5 helps us choose an implement an enterprise quality Call Center as a Service (CCaS) solution with per-seat licensing that again allowed smooth cost and service quality scaling.

Magna5 acted as a technology help desk to supplement MPC IT and provided system support services.

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

Magna5 has more experience and a larger pool of knowledge to draw on for issues that may arise in the system.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

Most people didn't seem interested in using the IT help desk system. Opening a ticket and eventually hearing back from someone is more complicated than just calling or emailing staff in the building. While this may help track time and expenses I think it ultimately comes at the cost of productivity of those using the system. Even with short help desk wait times it still adds an extra layer of bureaucracy for what may amount to a simple problem to solve. I also suspect it deters less tech-savvy people from reaching out for help in the first place, preventing them from learning how to fix these type of issues and spend more time getting work done. Ultimately I think sys admin tasks are suitable for subcontracting but general IT issues are best solved by a dedicated team member in the building. This may come at a cost but ultimately benefits everyone, including IT staff who would otherwise be replaced by a subcontractor, while more experienced subcontractors can focus on system security and network monitoring/maintenance rather than petty IT issues.

Weigh the pros and cons of outsourcing all of your IT services and how it may effect different members of your team. Find the balance that serves your company best.

Magna5 hosts and monitors our server environment and backups. We are alerted every time there is an issue with a servers or our network. They assist and see the issue to completion every time. If a backup fails they look into the issue and report what needs to be done to resolve the failed backup.

I like knowing they are watching when I cannot monitor my environment. Like have a 24/7 administrator sitting in my server room.

I have not found anything that I do not like yet. We have used them for two years so far and we are pleased with their service.

They only focus on Infrastructure related solutions and managed services.  It would be interesting to see if they expanded into full application support and development what they could offer.

When comparing to other MSP's make sure you are comparing the full solution.  I found that there were hidden costs in lower quotes for services.  When compared apples to apples Magna5 was the winner.  They don't hide fees or try to over sell you on services.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a very limited size IT team.  Magna5 gives us the benefit of a large team with out the high costs.  They provide excellent help desk support and have really impressed our end users with their knowledge and responsiveness.  Leveraging their people people gives us the ability to scale without extra cost and administrative overhead.  In addition they free up my senior administrators to focus on the strategic projects and not get bogged down with the tactical day to day requests.

Magna5 is responsible for our phone systems and networking infastructure. It is really easy to manage, and the tech support is great. The offer many features that are very useful.

**What do you like best about Magna5?**

I like how easy it is to manage all the phone in one set place. It is extremely user friendly and has a lot of features that can be utilized. When an individual marks their phone as do not disturb, the administrator can automatically turn this feature off. This is great.

**What do you dislike about Magna5?**

The voicemail function with the pin number can be a hassle it requires 8 number digit which is difficult to remember. It can sometimes be a bit of a pain.

**What problems is Magna5 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have always had internet connection issues and since using Magna5 we are not experiencing as many outages and issues. Our connectivity has definitely gotten better. Their tech support is also extremely helpful and easy to contact. They get back to you in a timely fashion.

They always answer the phone we a user calls. they also have support through email witch is beneficial for our remote users. when we have little to no time they are willing to work with us to help our users out with whatever problems (IT related) the may have. Sometimes we have to follow up more than once on an issue that was already discussed. Other than that they have been a good asset to our company and we value their help

Most of this server and network environment stuff that we are using is beyond our ability. Having a partner you could trust to manage that for us has proven to be very beneficial. Knowing that they are there and "have our backs" makes me comfortable. Because I know that if I break something or have a problem then can fix it.

We just upgraded all the servers, we still have one more to do. We have also switched to Office365 and are in the process of turning on MFA.
