Nectar is an employee recognition and employee experience platform for HR and People teams. More than 3,000 companies use Nectar to bring recognition, rewards, internal communications, employee surveys, engagement intelligence, and workflow automation into one connected system. Nectar Recognize is employee recognition software that makes everyday recognition easy. Employees post peer-to-peer shoutouts to a real-time social feed, tie recognition to company core values, and use Meaningful Meter™ guidance to make messages specific and genuine. Nectar celebrates birthdays and work anniversaries automatically, and recognition works inside Slack and Microsoft Teams. Nectar also supports structured recognition programs: challenges, formal nominations, and Community Recognition campaigns that let customers, patients, clients, or other external audiences recognize employees through links or QR codes. Admins manage budgets by department, location, cost center, or program. Nectar's employee rewards run on points. Employees choose from more than 250,000 products, experiences, and gifts across 176 countries and territories, including 200+ gift cards, Amazon products, branded company swag, and custom rewards such as extra time off. Nectar Comms is internal communications software that reaches employees wherever they work. Messages go out through email, SMS, WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Nectar, and digital signage, so it works for both desk-based and frontline teams. Comms includes a drag-and-drop builder, AI-assisted writing, HRIS-synced audiences, a shared communications calendar, and analytics for delivery, reach, clicks, and channel performance. Nectar Engage is employee survey software for custom surveys, eNPS, pulse surveys, and broader engagement surveys, with Mercer-powered industry benchmarks. Responses can be anonymous or named, with real-time results segmented by team, role, or location. Employees earn Nectar points for participating. SafeTalk™ lets leaders follow up on anonymous feedback without revealing the employee's identity. Nectar One is the platform layer that connects every Nectar product. Nectar One, including Nectar Signals and Nectar Flows, is part of every plan and never sold as a separate line item. Nectar Signals turns voluntary activity within Nectar into a 0–100 engagement health score for employees, teams, and departments, with trends, AI-generated summaries, and patterns associated with employees who previously left. Signals does not read private messages or email, and it does not monitor screens or keystrokes. Nectar Flows adds no-code automation for employee journeys such as onboarding, anniversaries, open enrollment, and training reminders. Flows trigger from dates, lists, API calls, or events in HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Sheets, Intercom, and Zapier, then send recognition, messages, or surveys using delays and branching logic. Nectar integrates with HRIS platforms including UKG, ADP, Rippling, Paycor, and Workday, plus Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Okta for single sign-on. A public API is also available. Nectar serves companies in education, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, marketing and advertising, retail, and technology. Pricing is per employee per month, with a custom quote based on company size and selected products.

What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's helping us solve the common office problem of everyone being at everyone else's throats. When someone has something to do, it can feel like such a burden going outside of that scope. But when there's a low-stakes reward system such as Nectar, then it encourages people to get along. Not that it solves all problems, but I think it's priced adequately versus its value. Nectar is difficult to integrate into other platforms. If there was a way to have it embedded with our Google workspace or even embedded in our onboarding, that would be a great feature. What do you dislike about Nectar?

While Nectar is an effective platform, a few limitations show up in several key areas. The UI/UX navigation can sometimes feel cluttered, especially when managing extensive peer feeds. Third-party integrations may also run into occasional syncing hiccups with external tools, and overall system performance can show slight reporting lags when processing large datasets.

In addition, while the pricing/ROI is generally fair, expanding more advanced admin features could add more value. Support and onboarding could benefit from faster response times during complex setups. Finally, the platform currently lacks deeper AI/intelligence or predictive analytics to help surface automated recognition trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
