MindBody is a monster, but it does EVERYTHING!   I set up classes and special events, keep track of attendance, automatic emails. Students can check into class, keep track of their schedule. and SO MUCH MORE!

The price is a little much.   It is a little difficult to create parent/child relationships.

Offers a wide range of features, accessible customer support, and a relatively clear interface.

Many critical features have bugs — for example, payroll calculations sometimes produce errors; in the referral system, clients receive a coupon via email but are unable to use it; and appointments can't be set up with half-hour billing, among other issues.

The previously raised issues have not been resolved — bugs in the referral system and others still persist.

Extremely dependable, runs all aspects of my studio's business. full package of all one would need.

Cost. It would be nice to have a discount incentive for those who have been with the SF for many years.

Over the years, it has solved many issues an owner would need and integrated with the SW. It is not free, but one can get add-on services to run the full spectrum of business.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

There's not much to like as it is not efficient in any capacity. It's aesthetically pleasing I suppose, lots of features?

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

A big thing about it is the lag. There seems to be huge latency issues between clicking anything and getting the buttons to actually work. Half the time you spend waiting for it to load, while the other half is accompanied by a lack thereof real use. It's features seem plentiful but a lot of them don't have any worth as an option. The menus almost feel like a magical endless bag of holding, where you can pull a bag out of a bag, out of a bag, out of a bag etc, just to get to one real function. I almost find myself writing this review with genuine disdain for the website. It's coded so poorly that I don't understand how it actually works sometimes. It also freezes quite frequently. Would not recommend to others.

You can make transactions at a snail's pace. It's benefitting us because we absolutely *have* to use it. So far we have no alternatives so that's that, no way around it. If I didn't have to, I wouldn't.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

I love the ease of using the platform and the fact that I have everything in one place. The most recent feature -- contactless payments-- has been a game changer for our business. We are able to charge students who come into our studio using the business app from our phones. I also love that there is a marketing feature I can take advantage of to send out communications to our members, without having to pay for a separate service. Mindbody customer service has been excellent -- every time, I have an issue, they are quick to solve it for me and I don't have to wait on hold to reach an agent.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Mindbody takes a lot of fees for new clients that sign up using the platform. On top of merchant credit card fees and the monthly subscription fee, it really reduces my margins.

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing students to sign up for my business as well as buy membership packages. Some clients also discover my business, through the platform itself. I also use Mindbody for marketing purposes -- I can send out emails regarding studio events and news to keep clients engaged and informed.

The functionality is like none other. Everything you need is in one place. From analytics to email marketing, you can do it all from one platform.

The price. As a small business owner, it can be hard to keep up with the increase in pricing. If I were just starting out, I would probably choose a cheaper platform until I could build up the business to afford Mindbody.

It has everything in one platform, so I don't have to use multiple programs to run my business. I use to use an email platform separate from MB and now use Mindbody's marketing suite, which is so much easier to use. It's the industry standard.

Mindbody is fast and efficient. It is easy to navigate and save information.

The customizability of Mindbody is lacking. It also causes appointment confirmation issues (user error mostly) when clients do not actually confirm the appointment they are about to book online. There must be a UI issue that does not clearly communicate that there is one more button to press before your appointment is booked.

I like that Mindbody has a lot of customization and some of the reports have been very helpful to us.

I feel like we have to REALLY customize to make it fit our business and there's still some kinks to be worked out. Part of the system may work for a time but then at some point, it begins to glitch and we have to rework how we check people in.

We upgraded for a bit to have a personal Mindbody rep and that's been big! They're helping us start fresh to make the system more efficient and create a smoother onboarding process. Mindbody makes it really easy to submit deposits based on the sales report.

Mindbody has been perfect for us and I can't say enough great things about it.  It has allowed our gym to run effectively and smoothly.

There is really nothin that I dislike about it. It is a great product.

Fairly user friendly - I can find the tools I'm looking for quickly. Screens are intuitive.

The tool has a lot of tools which is great but sometimes you have to dig to find the setting or report that you need.

The scheduling piece is very important and the reports for inventory, time sheets, member management, payment process are all helpful - its the only tool we use for those pieces.

MindBody features many things that can help a business. The best part, for us, is the ability to do everything in one place from membership sales, product sales, billing, and documentation.

We are so thankful for the new updates to payment methods! Tap to pay with a variety of devices (including our instructors) will be a great feature for us to add in.

Nothing at this time. We have found everything to be working.

We are able to run all studio operations through Mindbody. We have several sites including teachers that go to various sites and the mobile ability is great to allow them to clock in and take attendance for classes.

The help desk employees are often kind and patient even when they don't know much about the software.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

I signed up with Mindbody several years ago for my martial arts business, mainly because they promised a functional belt tracking module. Unfortunately, that feature never worked properly. When they attempted to replace it with a progress tracking system, it only made things worse. Both modules were full of programming errors and consistently failed to perform as advertised. Despite spending countless hours of my time, my staff's efforts, and thousands of dollars, nothing was ever resolved.

Mindbody repeatedly assured me that they would fix the issues, but those promises were never fulfilled. Ultimately, I had to find an alternative to manage student progress effectively. They string you along, making you believe they will solve the problems, but they never do—while continuing to bill you. In my opinion, it’s a dishonest company that sells you the dream without delivering on the work.

Now, after years of frustration, Mindbody refuses to acknowledge the issues or let me cancel my contract. Instead, they have become increasingly aggressive in preventing me from terminating the service. Their support team is highly skilled at handling objections, making it appear as though they are actively trying to resolve the bugs, but there seems to be no real intention to fix the problems.

After nearly five years of waiting for critical bugs to be addressed—bugs that have a significant impact on my business—I am left with nothing but frustration. They now focus on enforcing the terms of our contract despite their failure to deliver on their promises. My experience with Mindbody has been incredibly disappointing, and I strongly advise caution to anyone considering their software.

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have not solved my issues, particularly with regards to progress tracking and belt tracking. They have put these things on the backburners for years and continue to charge for these services.  In addition to that:
-they increased their fees
-they moved to a more expensive payment processor in Canada
-You cannot batch process membership confirmations/purchases without using their payment processor
-they moved their help desk overseas and I literally was teaching them about their own software for more than one occasion
-The customer service reps are completely tuned out to the technical issues of the program. Totally disconnected. 
-They need to start over from a technical standpoint as they have been repairing bugs with poor technological "responses" for years. They don't want to invest in an overhaul of the program so it is littered with issues.

Mindbody handles the memberships/scheduling very easily and I like how I can see a lot of client info, including purchase history.

Random downtime (sometimes for hours).  I wish it had less bugs and was more reliable.

With a constantly shifting clientele, it’s nice that I can recall and reactivate old students who haven’t been back for years. Sign up is easy and fast and we never fall behind from class to class.

Mindbody is very simple to use. It is a great platform for managing your schedule and tracking client sessions. The app is very userfriendly as well, so you always have access to your schedule on the go. I use it on a daily basis and it is very easy to implement for new users.

The website and app have some different features when it comes to blocking off time on your schedule.

It allows me to schedule my clients, check out their sessions after they are completed, late cancel any sessions, track purchases, track sessions remaining under package, and save contact information and payment information.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

Frederick is a really great online marketing tool that connects with my customer database, making it super easy to reach out to my clients through email and phone. I use it mostly to ask for feedback and send special offers, and since I been using Frederick, I’ve noticed that my customers engage more with my business. It’s really helped to increase my business and the profits too. The tool is easy to use and it’s now a essential part of my marketing strategy. I highly recommend anyone to use it, it really does make a difference!

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

One thing I don’t like about Frederick is that it can sometimes feel a bit limited in customization. I wish there was more options to personalize emails or messages. Also, the interface can be a little confusing at times, specially for beginners.

Frederick is helping me by making it easier to stay in touch with my customers. It automates sending emails and messages, so I don't have to do it all manually. This saves me a lot of time and helps me reach more people. It also helps me get feedback from customers, which lets me improve my services. Overall, it’s helping me grow my business and keep customers happy without too much extra work.

This company makes sales promises that are never delivered on. In three years of using this software every day it was buggy and unreliable. Support is non-existant. Its is difficult for your clients use.  It has features you will never use, and is missing the features you want.  

An awful experience that nearly killed my business in its inception phase. I'm sure all the positive reviews are paid or unethically incentivised.

Nothing, stay away. You will be severely disappointed.

I have been with Mindbody for over 10 years. At first they were a great solution for my gym. Over the past 2 years they have gotten progressively worse. Their customer service is a joke ans non existent. Their payment processing company that they force you to use continues to randomly take chargebacks out, even when not requested by clients. They recently took $1600 out of my account for a chargeback, and the customer didn't request it and even fought with me against the charges. They called their bank, mindbody and the payment processor, and essentially was told "too bad". $800 of the $1600 was returned to my client (who then paid me back), and then took another $800, but it was never paid back to the customer. So basically they just took money out for their own benefit.
And good luck getting Mindbody to respond or even care about your problems. Previous problems have taken over 2 weeks to resolve, which included over 10 phone calls and countless emails that are NEVER responded to.
For the love of God and your business, never use Mindbody. We are in the process of switching, which is a nightmare in itself.

They solve no problems, and just send you surveys to try and show they care. This is smoke and mirrors. When you try to schedule a call with them to discuss problems, you can't make an appointment for at least 7-10 days. Stay away and find a company who cares.

Mindbody has allowed for easy access to the classes I want to sign in for.  Saving a spot to ensure you get to go to the class times that fit best in your schedule.

On the odd occasion Mindbody will have an error message when trying to book a class and I end up having to shut down the app and log back in, in order for the error message to go away.

Mindbody allows me to easily book in to the class times that work best in my schedule, guaranteeing me a spot.  In the past we wouldn't know if there was room in the class until we showed up.

It's relatively easy for our clients to use for class bookings  and purchasing packages/contracts. As a multi-location business, their recent update to allow toggling between sites has been wonderful! Best upgrade in ages.

Lots of room for growth in all the reporting functions. The MindBody software itself is a outdated, and there seems to be hesitancy within the organization to make any advancements or meaningful improvements.

It allows us to give our clients a one-stop shop to book classes and purchase packages/contracts. It also integrates with our CRM software, which allows us to stay connected with our client base. Overall, we can do most everything we want to do, but it's not always a seemless process to get the data or to achieve our end goal. We have a great relationship with our strategic account reps.

It's too much for small/medium gym. You pay the same price but use only
10% percent of the features. Very complex menu, user interface. Manuals are also not easy to understand.
