Microsoft Word is fairly user-friendly. If you have never used a computer type software to write an essay or something, this is the program that you want. It is easily downloadable and free and it will help with your spelling and proofreading. All of the function buttons are easily laid out at the top of the screen, and you don’t have to go looking for them, which is a waste of time if you do, but Microsoft Word does not make you do that. I can go on and on forever, but this is absolutely my favourite software For writing and probably one of my top 10 favourites in my life. I would highly recommend that if you do not have it that you acquire it. It is user-friendly and will not take you long to learn it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This program requires or heavily encourages someone to have a Microsoft Outlook account, depending on whether it’s online use or off-line use. Sometimes people don’t need another email or need another account and that is Annoying. It is also expensive when purchased with the Microsoft outlook suite and unless you are in school and are provided with it for free, this is a major downside. Unlike Google Docs, Microsoft Word does not automatically save after every key stroke so if you do not save your document regularly, you can lose everything.
