We have integrated manufacturing internal business processes and the intra-company customer order module works great.
Multi-currency order entry is also used. All financial companies in IFS that represent Armstrong Intl global divisions use on general ledge chart.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

I like that we are able to handle most requirements wtihout having to do extensive coding. We can add custom events or custom fields relatively easily and that doesn't impact our ability to take on the most recent updates. I also feel like we have good attention from our IFS reps and they stay engaged with us.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

The support can be challenging at times, where responses can be slow.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFS is what most of our business uses to perform our manufacturing across a variety of diverse products and processes. Whether it be engineer to order or make to stock, we use it everywhere.

**Reviewed by:** Jon M. | Head of PMO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2024

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The broad range of utility across the organisation and the dedication of IFS to develop the system to support the needs of their cuatomers

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

The challenge of getting people with the necessary experience with the system both from a user and support perspective although this is constantly improving.

  ### 9. IFS is a very expansive and powerful ERP

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2024

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

IFS has a very expansive maintenance management process. It allows for the company to track work order from its infancy to completion. IFS Cloud being web based allows for streamline sharing of saved searches and queries from one user to another.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

There a handful of features that are missing in IFS Cloud that were a part of IFS Apps 9. There are so many screens and ways for you to complete the same function in IFS Cloud. This can lead to confusion for a new user. Also, IFS Cloud is quite clicky process to complete actions.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use IFS for our finance, maintenance, procurement, and production needs.

  ### 10. Honest Review of IFS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack J. | ERP Supply Chain Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Straightforward to navigate through the application
Endless customisable menus and events to tailor to customer needs
Friendly and approachable IFS Cloud + Consultancy Team
Excellent knowledge-based forums and windows available for IFS Customers

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Even though there are endless customisable menus and events - the majority of time require a modification and a cost to the customer due to it not being able to change the standard configuration
There are a few bugs that RnD should fix; however, they again say it is the standard configuration.
Expensive for Modifications - especially having to pay for SoW before customer decides if to proceed

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using IFS for Just-in-time manufacturing - the application is easy to follow and often an excellent product. We are 18 months into IFS10 after upgrading from IFS7.5. We see better improvements with the upgrade and have a road map in place to explore new application features

  ### 11. Poor ERP system

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eman A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2024

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Nothing , poor process design for HR and payroll

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Dose not provide best practice process comparing to other ERP solutions

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It causing lot of problems due to lack of intergrations between all modules specially HR and payroll

  ### 12. IFS Superior Tier 2 ERP solution.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett D. | Head of IT & Digital Transformation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The thing I find most helpful about IFS is the ability to get access to key information metrics via dashboard/lobbies capability. Having used other tier 2 ERP solutions. I find the user interface and general strength of the product to be far superior.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

We are currently using IFS, apps, 10, which is good, however, having recently seen a preview of IFS cloud, the current interface is significantly inferior. Very much looking forward to upgrading to IFS cloud.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our business IFS is solving the problem of desperate ERP solutions across our group of companies. We are now consolidating all Marshall group companies onto the IFS platform and architecture.

This allows us to share resource amongst the business with a common tool that those particular role groups will be familiar with.

  ### 13. Powerful ever expanding and improving mid tier ERP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Be W. | Global Director Business Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The user interface and flexibility of configuration options provide enough degrees of freedom to adapt to almost any situation.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Nitpicky, but how IFS has set Company/site access alongside but not directly connected to core permissions sets up a 'false choice' between allowing users access across companies or maintaining lock on security.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interconnected modules, global standards in process, enabler of master data management, and connection to outside systems via EDI and Open API's. We're now poised to leverage better data analytics and look for automation opportunities via configuration or locally applied customizations (CRIMs)

  ### 14. IFS Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2023

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

IFS allows us the ability to expand our customer base into different markets and offer more services to more customers with little increase to overhead.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Support and a sense of Partnership before and during the initial implementation of our FSM solution was severely lacking.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can now provide better service to our customers and offer them asset-level reporting. We also can now improve our call-taking and dispatching process. IFS will allow us to provide our customers with a much better customer experience from our technicians and back office supporting staff.

  ### 15. IFS applications, the best ERP you've probably never heard of.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Great, modern user interface, the latest version IFS cloud has a cloud native, modern infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

While they are growing quickly, they are not as mature as other vendors, particularly for larger customers (>$250M). Internally they are quite siloed, so it can be challenging to get holistic solutions to your business problems. The implementation methodology is not appropriate for larger customers, with considerable complexity or lots of change management to do. The user forums are improving, but are quite thin right now. However, if you get connected to the right people and executives, they are responsive, are rapidly improving, and actually do listen to their customers.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementing a new manufacturing ERP to replace our legacy technology and allow us to grow beyond $1B in sales

  ### 16. Difficult transition from a heavily modified ERP system-but we are happy with the functions/features

User interface is great - functions are flexible and customizable.

**Reviewed by:** ENILDO C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The system manages to reach almost all departments of the company, and we are always learning with functionalities that we didn't even know could exist.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

the design leaves a lot to be desired, both in terms of the layout and in the creation of new objects that could help in the performance and speed of the company's work

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Easy to operate and work for various hr operations through IFS , I have been using IFS for payroll operations & it's easy to use and process payroll

Interface and integration of processes should be synchronised, like while doing promotion/ increment entry , it requires two steps to make is effective, like one is from HR side and second payroll process.

Reducing manual work and make accurate and time convenient processess.

As a Product IFS is Good for certain Business sectors. It meets the required business processes. Cost-Effective.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

1. No customer orientation

3. There is no dedicated Account management for taking care of customer.
4. Though developing Product oriented Organization is good, it needs to develop resources in the market. It isn't easy to find quality IFS resources.
5. Decentralization of Localization of Geography. Partners are not able to meet customer expectations
6. As a customer - Not seeing a future focused on Tech Company
7. Transactional relationship rather than Strategy Focused
8. No Proactive approach in serving customers on regional-specific compliances & regulations.
9. Need to develop quality partners or strengthen the own capability.
10. It Needs to be more user friendly

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The invoice flow becomes simpler and more efficient

  ### 24. Modern ERP System that's Customizable but requires patience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurie F. | Manager of User-Based Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

IFS was a fresh look for a company coming off a 20-year-old ERP system. It is highly customizable with the help of 3rd-party resources. The implementation team worked with us and was in for the long haul. While there was back and forth and some disagreements here and there - that is going to be the case with any implementation all-in-all; IFS Provided us with a team that led to a successful launch of our product.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

With every new system, you are going to have things you love and things you hate. Change is hard. My number one complaint would be the lengthy user setup process, followed by the difficulty of nailing down user permissions and fully understanding the requirements around the CRM outlook Plug In. We had situations where we got it to work, but there was so much trial and error that we were unsure what resolved the issue.

There is quite a bit of a learning curve here, as I've seen in other reviews - so be prepared to take your time - ask a lot of questions - and find a 3rd party resource to assist and train up your developers and IT Resources. If you can find someone already has experience with the software - don't let them slip away - onboard them but don't expect them to be able to carry all the load.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous ERP system was very old and behind on updates, plus it was also on-premises, so if we had any network issues or maintenance at our main site, we lost the ability to use it. IFS resolves both of those for us.

  ### 25. Good Prodcut with missing Customer Focus

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sivasubramanian M. | Global Chief Information Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Product Portfolio fits certain sectors of Business

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Customer satisfaction & focus has huge scope to improve. IFS does not have a customer focus. Their eco systems need a improvement. There is not a single time IFS is easily approachable to customers. Now they have introduced one more partner ( TechMahindra ) as a preferred one. All the customers needs to go through them. The way IFS communicated to customers is not acceptable. Hope this review is read by someone in IFS & takes corrective measures.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It serves from Our Construction Procurement to Project monitoring. Works fine with the Project wise P&L.

  ### 26. IFS - Powerful and Productive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Celso N. | System Analyst Senior, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The fact that it is possible to create different types of custom objects, like custom fields, custom tabs, custom pages, and custom events, and make then increase to power of the application e brings value to the users.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Some external customizations are necessary to control the messages about fiscal notes that are sent and received, like a different application, only for it, turning the process a little bit more loaded.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us to control all the different business areas in our company, from the supply chain to the projects management, financials, accountings and the whole operations.

  ### 27. Very user friendly ERP Software

  ### 28. Good functionality, some quality issues.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Many tightly connected modules enable us to easily reuse data entered in other modules in one module.

High level of needed functionality for their targeted branches, e.g. replication to offshore units for Oil&Gas industry.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Quality is not up to what can be accepted, e.g. like their "big brother" SAP. Time it takes to get corrections is unpredictable, some times it can go many months or even years for essential functions.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need for tightly integrated modules in an ERP system with a wide range of modules. Configuration possibilities are wide, allowing us to tailor-make it to our needs. It could be more on security, and a few screens lack custom configuration possibilities.

  ### 29. Live Inventory

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darlene S. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

Before using Alliance, we had separate field service and inventory programs. This setup gave rise to all sorts of inventory discrepancies. Inventory reconciliation was long and painful. With Alliance, field service and inventory are united. We can better utilize inventory planning, improve parts usage accuracy, and reduce excessive write-offs.
The Alliance mobile app is also a plus. Our field techs can input accurate times for activities with the Start Work/StopWork buttons. With this information pulled into our data warehouse, management has real utilization rates.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

Alliance does not have enough easily accessible logging to review when some issue arises.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our need was a field service application that could also track live inventory.

  ### 30. For a bigger business yes, for a smaller business no

We have a system that is set up locally in Czech republic and there seems to be impossible to get it to work with Swedish payments, VAT reports and so on.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It help us to keep good track of margins on every single product.

To get the most out of the system, use as many processes/modules as possible.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

As the system grows and supports more areas and functions, it also gets more complicated. It is not always intuitive for new users and requires training to use.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Control over major investments. Control of the maintenance, purchase and inventory processes.

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

It is an ERP system, and you are able to use it to do some work.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

It's slow. You can't tell when pages are loading. Installing updates takes hours, and they rarely work without issues. Tech support has been virtually non-existent. Modules are disjointed. Service module doesn't work with orders and picking and the other modules. The system is non-intuitive.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFS has not solved any problems for me.

  ### 39. It took us more time than we had anticipated but the results are meeting expectation

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The most helpful thing about IFS is the integrated system. We eliminated a number of external add ons that we used with our previous ERP.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just a basic operations, low heated value

  ### 41. Refreshing to find an application suite that delivers and more without reservation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Minna I. | E, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

The suite is configurable to our specific needs without needing to change our workflow. Customisation is possible and practical and it allows you to get a greater understanding of your workflow whilst you are implementing it within IFS. The pre-sales advice was of excellent quality and it has continued through the post-contract stage with various implementations and rollouts to date.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

There is not really a lot to dislike about the suite. Of course, there will always be small desirable one may wish to change, but nothing to act as a "show stopper". Some of the reporting functionality could be maybe more modern, but one sees development within IFS so it probably is a matter of time before any desired changes are made, or worked around.

**Recommendations to others considering IFS Cloud:**

1. Get a good understanding of what your company does process-wise.
2. Get a good understanding of what your company wants to achieve.
3. Write a clear specification and structure (it helps you translate your insider knowledge so that an external party can understand -- it might also highlight things that could be changed or need special attention later on).
4. Ensure your IFS consultants understand, listen to their feedback, especially if they perceive something is unclear (revisit point 3 if necessary).
5. If transferring from another system, make sure you have a translation plan that maps "current" to "new" -- it will help the system design, conversion, implementation and rollout.
6. Ask lots of good questions. Listen to the advice given. Some advice may recommend minor changes, but it can be based on good experience.
7. Seek to talk to other IFS users, whether in your own country and/or industry. A successful IFS rollout and implementation is not a secret.
8. Be prepared to "share the joy" later on.
9. Take advantage of all offered IFS resources within a pre-sales phase and especially afterwards.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFS is working throughout the organization in different roles and it is being rolled out to additional countries as part of a replace and enhance strategy. The benefits are probably seen by the "customers" (both internal and external) rather than the ERP team per se, although for the ERP team its relative ease of implementation, roll out and support is not to be under-estimated. It helps to have a clear understanding of your organization, its processes, desires and a cooperative, helpful set of team members throughout the enterprise to generate a successful implementation, rollout and ongoing future development too.

IFS helps to improve productivity and efficiency of Manufacturing process while enabling better monitoring

  ### 43. If you are looking for ERP a good solution.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayley F. | Robotic Process Automation Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about IFS Cloud?**

One of the things that I particularly like about this product is the ease with which it allows to generate reports and do it in turn in different ways, for example we can bring files from excel by using the export function, we can also make complex states and feed views Dedicated so as not to affect the production environment while executing complex database declarations.

**What do you dislike about IFS Cloud?**

There is a detail that demotivated a little in this product, how many its operation but when acquiring licenses as such since there are differences between the licensing functions but there are not enough intermediate licenses how to give access to companies that need some functions without having to buy the complete package, in other words you use few or all functions.

**Recommendations to others considering IFS Cloud:**

I certainly do not recommend especially if your company needs a product based on the matrix to efficiently organize the correct access to the different tools that your organization deserves to adapt or adjust multilevel work permits in a simple way and also control the management of access to the different rights according to the parent function of your organization.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product is distinguished from the others thanks to its different characteristics and its capabilities that allow it to be widely used to drive the different processes that occur in our company in the field of cash orders as well as sales, pre-sales, production and finance. The spreadsheet is managed through of this product thanks to its excellent tool design and its integration with others on the market.

**What problems is IFS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no specific problems that IFS is resolving, but it helps streamline underlying processes and business activities which, in turn, support the company's activities.
