"A flexible and easy tool for innovation ideas challenges"

What do you like best?

It is very easy to launch idea challenges, just in a few hours you have the challenge up and running. It's is also very flexible allowing us to launch any type of challenge and choosing the target audience for each challenge. You can also easily customise the look & feel. Customer support is amazing, working closely with you and helping to make sure you are making the most of the platform and you are successful. The tool is constantly evolving to add new features and they are open to customers’ demands.

What do you dislike?

Some users’ management we have to do because of the way we are organised required help from the support team, seems if you integrate Wazoku with your directory this could be solved (we have not done this yet). We had some problems with emails coming from Wazoku because of our restricted security and spam filters.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Innovation ideas challenges and knowledge sharing around innovation projects and ideas. The main benefits are usability and getting people engaged in having conversations around the ideas, providing feedback and sharing them.

"Great support, interesting experiment and learning experience."

What do you like best?

We received excellent support from Wazoku and from the team as to the use and application of the crowd-sourcing platform; as well as logistical support on the use of the platform, and patient advice on the challenge framing. It was perhaps a learning process for them as much as it was for us - as it was used for a very different purpose to the one it is often used for (i.e crowd-sourcing policy ideas rather than more operational questions). The adaptability of the workflow section meant we could build a process better suited to our needs and an iterative idea selection process.

What do you dislike?

We received suggestions from the our judging panel that some of the ideas should not be in competition with each other but actually supplement each other - so perhaps an additional tool to compare and then perhaps group ideas would be a useful development going forward.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Most importantly Wazoku are very supportive, take on suggestions and keen to explore new avenues to innovate.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Considering the limited time and scope the deliberative element of our programme had for generating policy ideas and submissions, using the crowd-sourcing challenges on Wazoku has enabled the programme overall to deliver intended outputs in our original programme proposal and satisfy our funding requirements.

"Great Innovation enabling platform"

What do you like best?

Enables our whole business to collaborate easily together, sharing ideas to improve what we do and how our products work. We love the visibility it gives to everyone in the business and how they can positively impact our future.

What do you dislike?

I think sometimes setting up a challenge can be quite time consuming, so improvements here, maybe using templates specifically for the workflow section, as you are often repeating information.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's a great platform but more importantly Wazoku are a great Innovation Partner and do alot more than just provide the platform.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using Idea Spotlight to look at all aspects of the business and setting challenges that involve everyone, at all levels of the business. We have seen lots of great ideas and it's helping us manage those ideas through to a conclusion, which is where we struggled before. We have seen quite a few ideas being implemented and making a difference in areas we had maybe not anticipated and the platform is also helping us give Innovation the focus we need it to have and bringing greater cross team collaboration, and it's really become part of our Innovation Culture.

"Great customer support and easy user interface"

What do you like best?

The platform supports our efforts to create a culture of innovation and collaboration throughout our organisation. It facilitates the communication of people with similar ideas and issues that otherwise wouldn't meet. Further, we use it to compile and pool all information and activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship that is happening across the organisation for enhanced customer experience.

What do you dislike?

Difficult to test and understand all functionalities and the process of a challenge properly without a real-world case

make sure you have the resource to manage the process and the subsequent ideas to maintain and improve motivation of staff

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are breaking down silos between departments and groups to facilitate collaboration regarding innovation, pooling expertise, reducing duplication of work. Challenges run on the platform reduce the number of places where necessary data and files are stored to a single one.

"Innovation and Improvement through enagaged people"

What do you like best?

Solution is easy to use and intuitive. It provides a stable platform for us to engage with all people across all our locations in a consistent manner, setting organisational and local challenges for our people. Best features are the ones which allow people to collaboratively build ideas, solutions and solve problems enabling virtual teams to work together. Great tool for engaging with our people who are our most important assets and the people who know best what can be improved and how.

What do you dislike?

Only area which could be improved is on the voting aspect. People can vote thumbs up and thumbs down, if people vote thumbs down I would like a feature which requires a comment as to why it is a thumbs down so this data can be used and analysed

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

To have the ability to engage with all people across all locations regardless of country in a consistent way and giving all our people a voice which is not moderated or censored. To tap into our most important assets our people by asking them for their ideas, thoughts and solutions. To help ensure our people are at the heart of what we do and they can actively get involved in decisions.

"Remove the admin from Employee ideas, therefore allowing many more!"

Throughout my time using Idea spotlight, my views, advise and recommendations have formed part of the ongoing development of the platform, the team at Wazoku are very good at removing the pain points I raise, hence making the product for me even better. Highly recommended personal touch from a software company.

Idea spotlight allows the volume of ideas from our workforce to be manageable, by removing all the pain points, including accurately recording them, linking them to the individual, promoting easy communication, explaining exactly what is happening to the idea and accurately recording the outcome and benefits of the delivered idea to stakeholders. Also removes duplication by holding an accurate, searchable database of previous ideas.

"Enabling collaboration"

What do you like best?

How easy the tool is to use. There's no training required to get started and anyone can easily access the tool to collaborate and innovate with each other. It's great to be able to bring together staff across all grades and departments into a central space to generate ideas.

Wazoku are very supportive with the wider strategy around the tool. They work in partnership with you to ensure that the tool is utilised to its full potential.

What do you dislike?

Not being able to segregate MI across different challenges.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Numerous problems have already been solved which primarily are focused on improving the customer experience. We have seen some great results of late in doing both business wide challenges as well as more targeted challenges within a specific area.

"Creative problem solving made simple"

What do you like best?

The platform is intuitive and easy to use. Wazoku are very support both during the implementation and afterwards if you have any further questions or concerns. I also like the fact that they help and involve you in ongoing innovation discussions and activities. You get the feeling that you are all on an exciting innovation journey with Wazoku to improve your business.

We have adopted the gamification aspect of the platform which has given us the opportunity to further engage with our colleagues. Really like this function.

What do you dislike?

Nothing particularly. It has developed and progressed well over the last few years. Wazoku are keen to know how they can improve the platform and seek feedback from their customers on how they can make it better.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a number of challenges on the platform each with a range of ideas. Our challenges look at revenue generation, improving customer service, colleague engagement, improving the colleague workplace, etc. We also have a 'general ideas' bucket for those random ideas which people have which aren't related to a challenge.

"From PoC to embedded strategy - based on results and engagement"

What do you like best?

Has enabled our organisation to create a global conversation covering all aspects of innovation. Ideas ranging from everyday improvements to strategic concepts can be raised, and discussed by the people who know our company best - our staff.

The support from Wazoku in regards helping us understand and improve innovation culture and strategy has been fantastic.

What do you dislike?

The platform roadmap has vastly improved from first engagement. Work is required to configure and design the UI desired - but support is readily available to do so

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This has driven huge cross region, cross department engagement. Many corporations often turn to big consultancy firms to help define strategy or review current state problems - often at great expense. What Idea spotlight has proven, is how much you can gain just by creating a vehicle to get the ideas often discussed at the coffee machine out into an open forum and in front of decision makers who have the ability to bring to reality. As mentioned your staff are the people who know your business best and can quickly identify the inefficiencies they have to deal with daily.

"Great Experience!"

What do you like best?

The individual support that has been provided to ensure we are using the software efficiently has been great. System is relatively intuitive, easy to use, follows a stepwise process to manage ideas and has saved hours of time from the spreadsheet based system used historically.

The new chat/blog functions that we are using this year offer additional ways to engage an audience.

What do you dislike?

So far all good and the team are very responsive, so if I have any queries, they are always answered

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Each year we hold an Idea of the Year competition which has historically been delivered manually. Thanks to the Wazoku Spotlight system the admin burden has been dramatically reduced plus we have greater engagement channels with our audience. The judging process has also been simplified with our remote judges accessing the system, entering scores and saving time for them too.

The new system was well received by our membership with several positive comments

"Capturing the power of the crowd"

What do you like best?

The platform is easy to use and allows ideas to be quickly submitted and

What do you dislike?

The review process can be quite laborious and possibly flawed due to the human nature of this (this would be the case for any system. Idea creators put so much effort into their entries but subject matter experts or decision makers often are time poor and can't dedicate the same amount of time to assessing ideas. We're trying to counter this by limiting the amount of words our idea creators can use and allowing the crowd to decide which ideas should progress to customer testing.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are focused on our customers and have asked our colleagues to address these in the challenges we've raised. The benefits have been to expose our senior leadership to the best ideas from our people and drive decisions on which ideas we should pursue in our business.

"Best product ever"

What do you like best?

This is one of the best products I've ever used - it is seamless, easy to navigate and does not confuse its user. Further, I can work easily and effectively without being put off with ads.

What do you dislike?

The only feature that I do not like is that the voting aspect should not only be a "yes" or a "no," but rather, allow a comment for people to comment on why they think so. My company switched to a different platform but I was very upset that they did so because I LOVED this product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Don't be afraid to ask for support and/or ask questions to the support staff that Idea Spotlight has in place

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The application and platform allows for engagement with audiences, and access to a large amount of data ALL in one place and in a small amount of time.
