Hunter is truly an amazing platform that democratizes access to industries.
Honestly, I think the added value proposition I see, is that individuals without an inherited network can gain the ability to build new connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hunter is not just a tool for sales people, consultants, and mid-stage professionals. It can support the entrepreneurs, underdogs, and young professionals going against the tide by enabling them to connecting them with industries many cannot traditionally reach otherwise. This could be a key focus I’d like to see in the branding and strategy of hunter. I see its value as filling the gaps of what isn’t being done by LinkedIn (which is more professionally insular and exclusive) rather than focusing on filling the gap of things missing from Salesforce.
For example, notice that the aforementioned (entrepreneurs, innovators, young professionals, etc.) are also missing options the survey question about one’s profession. For example, entrepreneurship was not listed, CSR professionals was not listed, neither is small business. A lot of the focus being on traditional career paths.
