## Homebase Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Scheduling with Intuitive Recommendations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like the recommended schedule feature in Homebase. It makes it easier to create the schedule because it knows the tendencies of our workers and adjusts based on their availability and time off. I just click recommend, and it simplifies the process without needing to do it all myself. The initial setup was super easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

None at the moment. I just think that Homebase should definitely have, like, an introduction call for new users. Meaning that they should reach out to the new users, like the new hires, to show them around the system or whatnot. Show them how to work it. That'd be cool.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase simplifies scheduling and reviewing availability, making changes easy for me and my team. It recommends schedules based on worker tendencies and time off, speeding up the process so I don't have to manage it manually.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the recommended schedule feature and finding it helpful for your team's scheduling needs. We appreciate your feedback about having an introduction call for new users and will definitely take that into consideration for future improvements. So glad you are part of the Homebase community

  ### 2. Effortless Payroll and Onboarding with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I absolutely love how easy it is to onboard employees with Homebase. The seamless payroll process is also something I really like. I don't have to deal with technical issues since the mobile app is straightforward and easy for employees to use. It's one of the few things I haven't had to create an employee training around. Having payroll managed through Homebase makes it easy for me to review time cards and approve them. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy and took less than 30 minutes with all my information ready. I had so much support from Homebase compared to the non-existent customer service at Square Payroll.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

sometimes there are too many notifications and learning how to adjust them took some time

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for payroll and time tracking. It simplifies managing onboarding, provides time cards, and handles payroll taxes. The mobile app is easy for employees to use without training. I love the seamless payroll process and the easy review and approval of timecards.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you love how easy it is to onboard employees and manage payroll with Homebase. We're committed to providing seamless and straightforward solutions for our customers. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 3. Streamlined Scheduling with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruth H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that I can see a week of a schedule in front of me and easily add or delete people on the schedule, making my life a lot easier. I'm not on text threads anymore asking people if they can work, and everyone can put their off days and schedule requests in. I enjoy the messaging system because it helps people not rely on their cell phones to communicate. Also, the initial setup of Homebase was super easy. I could do it, and I'm not good at tech stuff, so it must have been easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I really wish once you do a schedule, there's a white section that comes in from the right side. I always say no. Can I turn that off? Somehow? Because it's really annoying.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, and everyone can see the schedule in one place. It helps us communicate without relying on phones and lets us easily manage off days and schedule requests.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Homebase! We're thrilled to hear that the scheduling and messaging features have made your life easier. Our customer support team can help with the white section you mentioned if you reach out to them.

  ### 4. Easy Scheduling and Timesheets with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arlie S. | Family Nurse Practitioner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is easy to use, and both scheduling and timesheets are straightforward to interpret. Customer service is responsive and easy to reach when I need help. The website performs well overall, and the pricing feels acceptable.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t set a standard lunch-break time. I have to manually enter every employee’s lunch break. Since lunch is the same set time every day, I don’t require them to clock in and out for it, so having to enter it manually each time is inconvenient.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use paper timesheets and had to calculate my hours manually. Now Homebase takes care of all of that for me.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that our customer service is responsive. We appreciate your feedback about the lunch-break time feature and will take it into consideration for future updates. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 5. Effortless Scheduling and Communication with Minor Interface Hurdles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remy M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like how easy it is to schedule, change, and update the schedule with Homebase. It's one of my favorite features. I also love the feature that allows me to see who has read the messaging, which helps me communicate with my staff all at once and know who I need to talk to specifically. The initial setup was super easy, very intuitive, and user-friendly. I really do like this app.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish to see a better layout of scheduled time off. Once I have read a staff member's blurb on why they want a day off and which days, I have a difficult time retracing my steps and finding that information. The other thing I would really like to have as an added feature, this is something I saw in another scheduling app, is the ability to send out a weekly message every time I post the schedule. I found that extremely helpful to launch a schedule and then say, welcome this new team member, or don't forget this week, we're closing early.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me communicate with my staff all at once, and I can see who has read my messages, which makes it easy to follow up. It's really easy to schedule, change, and update shifts.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use for scheduling and communication. We appreciate your feedback about the layout of scheduled time off and the ability to send out weekly messages, and we'll definitely take that into consideration for future updates.

  ### 6. Fast Payroll, Seamless Onboarding but Needs Better Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marlon R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I do like the fact that Homebase is a growing application that meets my needs and standards. I enjoy how fast and easy it is to use when doing payroll. I also enjoy that they are updating features, such as creating polls and the ability to send videos and pictures through messaging. I appreciate that they take into account others' feedback. I find the AI professional tool very useful for guiding employees, and I love that the onboarding process is so easy. I appreciate the assistance offered in different types of realms. I like the payroll tools and the fact that they tell me who comes to work on time and who doesn’t, which is very dynamic. The initial setup was seamless, and I recommend Homebase to friends and colleagues, rating it maybe an 8.5 out of 10 depending on their usage.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I'd like for the scheduling features to have more effectiveness without having to change your views. I would like for the filters to remain the same when it comes to different view sorts. I really suggest that the reporting category all get up on the same type of wavelength, as I do have to go into several different tabs to get what I'm looking for when it comes to certain histories and cost of sales and savings throughout weekly reporting.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I enjoy how Homebase meets my needs and is easy for payroll. The AI tool is useful for guiding employees, and onboarding is easy. It updates often and incorporates feedback, and has tools for creating polls and sending videos.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase fast and easy to use for payroll, and that you appreciate the updates and features like creating polls and sending videos. We value your feedback on the scheduling features and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 7. Streamlined Operations and Stress-Free Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kola J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase's scheduling easy to use. The payroll system runs smoothly for me, and I appreciate how the background check feature makes hiring much more efficient. Overall, Homebase has helped me stay organized and focused on growing my company, preventing me from getting stuck in administrative tasks. The initial setup was very easy, with no problems at all. I started using it with a small team of four staff members in 2024, and it's been great for my growing number of staff. I highly recommend Homebase to any small business owner looking for an all-in-one solution that actually works.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There is nothing I don't like about homebae

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase is a game changer for my business, streamlining everything in one place and saving me time. It reduces stress and helps me manage day-to-day operations efficiently. Its scheduling, payroll, and background check features keep me organized, allowing focus on growth instead of admin tasks.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been such a valuable tool for your business! Thank you for recommending us to other small business owners. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 8. Effortless Scheduling, Steep Pricing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee M.

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to schedule shifts for lifeguards and pool managers. I like that it is easy to use and saves me time by keeping all schedule requests for time off and availability in one place. Once approved, requests are blocked out in the scheduling part of the app, so I don't accidentally schedule someone. I love creating calendar templates because it makes my weekly scheduling quick and simple. Also, employees can submit time-off requests and they're directly put into the scheduling calendar, which is really convenient. I appreciate that employees can communicate, request shift trades, and once approved, these are immediately adjusted on the calendar. The initial setup was very easy, relatively intuitive, and quick for my employees, who also find it easy to use. They love that I do my schedule on it.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would say that for me it is the increasing cost. As a seasonal user it is becoming increasingly harder to justify the cost.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase saves me time by centralizing schedule requests and blocking off approved time off, preventing scheduling errors. It's easy to use, allows employees to submit requests, communicate, and manage shift trades. I love using calendar templates for quick scheduling.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a time-saving and convenient tool for your scheduling needs. We understand your concern about the cost, and we continuously strive to provide value for our users. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we work to improve. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 9. Efficient All-in-One Solution with Challenging Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa Anne W. | Regional Manager and Trainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that everything is built into one place with Homebase. Instead of using separate tools for communication, scheduling, and payroll, everything is conveniently in one spot. I really enjoy how the schedules are based off the timesheets, which makes it easier for trainers at our gym, as their classes are scheduled at the same time every week, every month, every day. I can efficiently manage additional earnings through features like adding commission for our trainers and sales associates based on attendance or sales targets. The ability to add recurring payments like Danielle’s monthly stipend directly into the payroll is really helpful. I also love the add-on features for payroll, which make handling complex pay structures much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only thing that does not work well is the onboarding process. Transparently, it was terrible. Every single associate and trainer minus three people needed, like, hand holding through the onboarding process. Also, it seems like there's, like, six different ways to get onboarded. You could do it through the app, you could do it through the website, you can follow these specific instructions. And, they kept sending me, like, different links and articles. It was also confusing because you would get an email that would say, click here to begin your onboarding process, but then, like, nothing worked through the email. Then it was like, oh, we'll use the app, but then, like, sometimes the app didn't work. And it was like, use the Internet web browser on your phone. Oh, use the desktop. Oh, no. Actually, the Internet web browser on your phone is the best way to do it. The desktop is the worst. It honestly made no sense. It seemed like there's no right or wrong, and so each person, it was a different hurdle until we got it figured out. A lot of them, I had to manually input their direct deposit information because they couldn't figure it out, but that's, like, the only area of Homebase that was a complete struggle for me. And instead of the software benefiting me or partnering with me, it partnered against me. I would say looking into that and trying to find further ways to make it smooth, efficient, and easy would be extremely helpful, especially when you're hopping into a new software with a team of 30 plus people.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, payroll, and communication all in one place, which streamlines my processes. The chat feature is helpful for quick payroll questions, and I appreciate the additional payroll features like commissions and stipends.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the all-in-one solution that Homebase provides, especially the convenience of having scheduling, payroll, and communication in one place. We understand your frustration with the onboarding process and apologize for the difficulties you experienced. We are constantly working to improve our onboarding process to make it smoother and more efficient for our users. Your feedback is valuable, and we will take it into consideration as we continue to enhance the user experience. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 10. Accurate Payroll with Minor Glitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abby P. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that employees have to be onsite to clock in and out, ensuring they are within a certain radius of our address. If they forget to clock in or out, they have to reach out to a supervisor, which enhances accuracy. I also find the reporting feature great, as it allows me to run payroll really easily biweekly. Additionally, setting up Homebase was fairly easy once everyone signed up from the invitation they received. Lastly, it's a cost effective solution for our small nonprofit.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Occasionally, employees aren't able to clock in and out even when they're onsite. The software just turns and doesn't actually clock them in or out, almost like a glitch.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase ensures accurate payroll by tracking clock-ins and outs for non-salaried employees. It replaces error-prone Excel timesheets, ensuring precision. I appreciate the reporting feature and that employees need to be onsite to clock in, adding accuracy. It simplifies running biweekly payroll.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a cost-effective and accurate solution for your nonprofit. We apologize for the occasional glitches with clocking in and out, and we are continuously working to improve our software to ensure a seamless experience for all users. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 11. Easy-to-Use Scheduling with Color-Coded Shifts and Handy Team Notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is set up well and it is easy to use. I love the colors for the schedules and how it allows me to leave a shift note for my team, which is a game changer. I also love just how user friendly it is.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I'm honestly not sure, as I have loved using it ... but the two small things that come to mind are the notification bell doesn't show you the whole time off request/ reason why, you have to go to the time off section on the left hand side to see it. Also I am confused by the fact that there is a publish the schedule button and notify no one... maybe its just user error but I am confused by that.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase is a game changer in getting my schedule to my team as well as managing their availability and time off requests. I used to text the schedule but this is leaps and bounds better. I couldn't recommend it more. We haven't integrated with ADP yet but I would love to see that happen because that would also be a huge time saver (but that's not my decision to make haha)

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that the color-coded shifts and team notes are helpful for you. We appreciate your feedback about the notification bell and the publish the schedule button, and we'll take that into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for recommending Homebase!

  ### 12. Homebase Makes Scheduling and Team Communication Simple and Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katrina S. | Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase scheduling is especially helpful because it’s simple to use and keeps everything organized in one place. It makes it easy to build schedules, track time, communicate with staff, and quickly handle shift changes or call-offs. The biggest upside is that it saves managers time while helping employees stay informed and accountable.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

One downside of Homebase scheduling is that some features can feel limited unless you upgrade to a paid plan. It can also be frustrating if notifications are missed or if staff are not consistently checking the app, which can lead to communication issues.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase solves scheduling and communication challenges by keeping staff schedules, shift changes, and time tracking all in one place. This benefits me by saving time, reducing confusion, and helping ensure shifts are properly covered without constant back-and-forth communication.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase scheduling helpful and organized. Our goal is to make it easy for managers and employees to stay on top of scheduling and communication. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 13. Streamlined Scheduling and Payroll for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase easy to use for my small business. It's great that my team can handle scheduling, time-off requests, payroll, and team messaging all in one place. I appreciate the seamless operation it offers. Switching from ADP, I've been able to save money. Additionally, obtaining tax forms and documents is fairly easy, and the ability to reach the entire team with updates has been a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

It would be nice to have employees with multiple duties they are clocking in and out for - to only be able to clock in and out for the current times. I do have to manually go in every day and change things around for certain employees. Also, it would be nice if they can only clock in and out when they are in my business. I'm not sure how far away they have to be to do this, but I've caught several instances where they clock in prior to being in my business 15-20 minutes early. Only with my cameras am I able to make sure they are being honest since I'm not in the business every day.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, time off requests, payroll, and team messaging. It saves me money compared to ADP. My team manages everything seamlessly, and I can easily obtain tax forms and reach the team with updates.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a valuable tool for your small business, making scheduling, payroll, and team communication easier for you and your team. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 14. Simplifies Scheduling and Communication Efficiently

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shyanne M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like how easy Homebase is to use. Everyone always says it's just so easy when they sign up and they never have any issues. The scheduling and messaging system are also great. The messaging system is my favorite because I can send messages right when I think of something, and we can make group chats too. It's a great experience overall because it allows viewing of salaries and borrowing money from next week's check if needed. I also appreciate how simple it makes keeping in contact with everyone, even if they're not there for the day.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Sometimes the login process lags a little bit, and it kicks people out and doesn't let them log back in. I do wish that would be fixed.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling to keep everyone updated and in contact, simplifying communication and ensuring awareness of shifts. It allows viewing salaries, handling cash flow, and supports task management with separate conversations.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that the scheduling and messaging systems are working well for you. We appreciate your feedback about the login process and will work to improve that experience for you. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 15. Easy Time Tracking and Attendance—Perfect for On-Site Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick M. | Company Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase made it easy to keep track of when my employee actually clocked in and out at the work truck instead of me having to text or call to confirm. The biggest benefit for me was having one simple place to check hours, see attendance, and avoid confusion about start times. It helped keep things organized and gave me more peace of mind, especially when work started on-site instead of at a fixed location.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

What I liked least was that the app could feel a little clunky at times, especially for quick mobile clock-ins when work starts on-site. For a small business, you want the process to be as simple and fast as possible. I think the web user interface for managing all of it could be more streamlined.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you don't have an office and only have a yard to park the vehicle, Homebase helped. Employees can clock in on mobile, and I can set a geofence to make sure they’re where they say they are when they clock in.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has made tracking time and attendance easier for you, especially for on-site work. We appreciate your feedback about the app's user interface and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 16. Streamlined Staff Scheduling, Needs App Stability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabrielle D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like the interface of Homebase; it's really easy to learn. I also like that I can update information as we have new staff coming and old staff leaving. It's fairly easy for me to figure out how to teach my team how to use it. It was super simple for me to set up, and I'm a pretty techie kind of girl. After introducing it to my team, they caught on quickly, and it's been fairly simple for them to use.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would really like a feature that allows my staff to see everybody who's on the schedule and not just their own shift. I would like for them to sync the entire shift schedule to their Google Calendar, but right now they can only sync their own shifts. Our Homebase app keeps kicking us out, so I constantly have to sign back in almost every day or multiple times a day, which has been very frustrating. Another thing that could be improved is allowing my staff to adjust their days off if they've already submitted for vacation days and they change, so they could adjust and resubmit for reapproval. But right now, they have no way of adjusting.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me ensure my business isn't understaffed or overworking staff, promoting fairness. It consolidates all info in one place, like shift times and time-off requests.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that it has been beneficial for your team. We appreciate your suggestions for improving the app's stability and features, and we will definitely take them into consideration for future updates. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 17. Effortless Time-Tracking with Robust Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to keep track of my high school students' hours, and I really appreciate the tracking features. My favorite is the GPS tracker for clocking in and out, which ensures that students are honest about their presence. I also enjoy tracking their hours so I can compare them across different groups. The hour tracking is nice since it allows us to reward or give consequences based on the hours they log. Additionally, the initial setup of Homebase was very easy, which made the transition smooth for us.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish it was easier to split them into different departments, but I believe the limitation is I do not pay for that level. I would also like them to be able to see their own total hours, as they can use these hours for volunteer hours and resumes.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me track my students' hours, schedule shifts, and find coverage. The GPS tracker ensures they're clocking in/out honestly, and hour tracking lets me compare their hours for rewards.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the GPS tracker and hour tracking features for your high school students. We appreciate your feedback about splitting into different departments and visibility of total hours, and we'll take this into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 18. Effortless Scheduling, But Integration Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling front of house employees at my restaurant. It's great at keeping track of time off requests and continuously changing worker availability. Keeping up with documentation for each employee has also been wonderful. I love the ease of modifying or accessing schedules, and the 'frequently worked' hours feature is very helpful when creating a schedule. I'm able to make on-the-fly changes, making creating a schedule much less of a hassle than with other platforms. The initial setup was much easier compared to Aloha (Ctuit), which was awful.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The team requests need to be separate from cover requests and availability. I don't guarantee time off requests but like to see them when creating the schedule, so I'm never hitting approve. It's frustrating to sift through many time-off and availability change requests. The clock-in and pay functions should be able to be turned off. I use a separate time tracker and payroll company, so I should have the option to turn off these features to prevent employees from adding their bank information. I wish it would integrate better with PARPos somehow.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me manage employee scheduling, track time-off requests and worker availability, and maintain employee documentation effortlessly.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been helpful in managing your employee scheduling and documentation. We appreciate your feedback about the integration and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 19. Homebase Streamlines Scheduling with Seamless Mobile Sync and Shift Reminders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

What I like best about Homebase is how it streamlines our entire scheduling process. No more messy group texts or paper calendars. The fact that it syncs directly to everyone's phone means the team always knows exactly when they're working, and the automated shift reminders have basically eliminated our 'no-show' problems. It’s a total game-changer for staying organized

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Mobile App Limitations & Glitches
While the mobile app is great for quick checks, users often find it lacks the full functionality of the desktop version.

The Issue: Managers sometimes struggle to perform complex scheduling edits or view deep reporting from their phones.

Technical Snags: Some users report occasional glitches where notifications for shift swaps or messages don't come through instantly, or the GPS clock-in can be "fussy" depending on the phone's signal

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The "No-Show" & Communication Gap
The Problem: Relying on paper schedules, messy group texts, or "I didn't see the email" excuses.

The Benefit: Since the schedule lives on everyone’s phone, employees get automated shift reminders. You can see exactly who has viewed the schedule, and if someone is late, you get an instant alert—allowing you to call for backup before your customers notice a staffing gap

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has streamlined your scheduling process and improved communication within your team. Our goal is to make managing shifts as seamless as possible, and we appreciate your feedback. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 20. Easy to Use from Day One—Perfect for Scheduling and Payroll

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly W. | Director of Member Experience, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is easy to use from the moment you first log in. It’s straightforward for new employees, and it also works well for less tech-savvy managers.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There really aren’t any. We initially started using it just for scheduling because it didn’t have the ability to process payroll for non-profits at the time. It was perfect for our scheduling needs, and the moment payroll became available for non-profits, we signed up.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s an all-inclusive program that can handle onboarding, scheduling, and payroll. It also includes an HR department feature, and that works well for us. They recently added the ability to run background checks, which has saved us quite a bit of money.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been easy to use and beneficial for your scheduling and payroll needs. Thank you for sharing your positive experience! Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 21. Essential Tool for Employee Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to keep my summer employees organized and informed on what's going on at the club. Homebase saves me time and energy, and I honestly think that I couldn't do my job without it. The initial setup was easy, and it seamlessly integrates with my workflow.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Well now that you ask... there used to be a place at the top of each day's schedule where I could put a special event for the day. That is missing from my screen this summer. I wish I knew where to get it or how to put it back.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me keep my employees organized and informed, saving me time and energy. I couldn't do my job without it.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been such a valuable tool for managing your summer employees! We appreciate your feedback about the missing feature and will look into how we can address this for you. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 22. Clean, User-Friendly UI with Excellent AI and Scheduling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres G. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love how clean the user end is. My team members love it. The ai tool is nice, and the scheduling performs exactly how I desire.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I dont love how expensive it is, i wish the integration with toast was better.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with toast would be nice where my employees could clock in on toast pos. Wish this was a bit better priced.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you love the clean and user-friendly UI, as well as the AI and scheduling features. We understand your concerns about the pricing and integration with Toast, and we're constantly working to improve our offerings. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we'll take it into consideration for future updates. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 23. Effortlessly Tracks Employee Hours and Payroll

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love how Homebase is extremely easy to use and how it helps me keep track of employee hours effortlessly. It's also very helpful in notifying me when an employee is in overtime or nearing it. The request off abilities and the automated clock out option are features I particularly enjoy. Additionally, I appreciate how straightforward it is to manage payroll hours with Homebase. The notes section for management and employees to communicate important information is another aspect I find valuable. The initial setup was also incredibly easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Occasionally there are a few glitches, but they usually are fixed immediately.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Homebase extremely easy to use for tracking employee hours and payroll. It notifies me when someone is nearing overtime, offers convenient request-off features, and has automated clock-out. Plus, the notes section is great for management communication.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and helpful for tracking employee hours and payroll. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that the features like overtime notifications, request off abilities, and automated clock out are working well for you. We apologize for any glitches you've experienced, but we're committed to fixing them promptly. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 24. Decent Scheduling Tool, But Lacks Distinct Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and timekeeping. Although I see it more as a utility, I do find seeing how many hours I'm at for the week useful since I'm not on a set schedule. It's also slightly cheaper than other solutions. The initial setup was thoughtless.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Advertising the equivalent of payday loans or 'cash out' is honestly my least favorite part of Homebase, it has nothing to do with function it just cheapens the company image. Yes, the cash out feature comes off as a payday loan, I read more into it now so I know it isn’t but that has been my impression, and the impression of everyone on my team for 3 years.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase fills the scheduling need as well as other solutions but is a bit cheaper. I find it useful for tracking my weekly hours, though the mobile layout complicates this task.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase useful for tracking your weekly hours and that it's a cost-effective solution for your scheduling needs. We appreciate your feedback about the mobile layout and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 25. Robust Features but Pricing Could Improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J Rio F. | CEO, Principal Technology Consultant, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase to be pretty robust in features, and its ease of use is definitely important to me. The geofencing, reporting, and alerts are critical for managing staff and holding them accountable, which leads to better time sheet and tip reporting across our staff of almost 20 individuals. The initial setup was fairly easy, especially since our GM already had experience with Homebase.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The pricing model was a bit cumbersome. I'd like a more consistent bundle of features that I don't have to constantly add-on capabilities. If the solution becomes too expensive, the inclination is to look for substitutes. Some add-on features need to be less expensive, or discounted if you reach a certain monthly pricing. We could not do more in-depth job costing, but that was a feature we desired.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps us with scheduling, time tracking, checklists, geofencing, and managing multiple locations. Its robustness and ease of use are valuable. Geofencing, reporting, and alerts improve staff management and accountability, leading to better timesheet and tip reporting for our 20-member team.

  ### 26. Easy Scheduling, Smooth Shift Swaps, and Better Team Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evie E. | CoOwner and General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Easy scheduling and shift swaps. Clocking in for staff is easy and the ability to leave notes on shifts is great for communication with part time staff.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish I could set a template for store hours and have the scheduling tool alert me when I have missed a shift. Some staff have reported issues with clocking in on the app when they have a second employer that also uses Homebase. I wish there was a way to stop the system from asking salaried employees to clock in.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase having scheduling and payroll in one platform is super helpful. Being able to manage payroll in the same platform as scheduling allows us to easily check for an errors or outliers in labor costs and clock ins.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for this thoughtful review. We're glad that scheduling, shift swaps, and shift notes have made managing your team easier — and that having scheduling and payroll in one place has streamlined your operations.

We appreciate your feedback on store hour templates, missed shift alerts, and salaried clock-in prompts. These are valuable insights that help shape our product roadmap. For the dual-employer clock-in issue, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team so we can assist directly.

We value your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your team.

  ### 27. User-Friendly and Flexible, with Plenty of Options for My Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

It’s very user-friendly and provides plenty of options that I can use for my business, which makes it easy to tailor to what I need.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Certain things I would like to use I would have to upgrade my plan to cost me much more a month, but I wouldn’t get as much keys out of it to make it worth it. Simple things like being able to put blackout dates for employees so they can’t request days off for certain holidays or whatever. I think those should be part of any basic plan.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of scheduling and my employees being able to see their schedules on their phone is probably the best function. So they don’t have to be at work to know what the schedule is. They always have access to a 24 seven.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad to hear Homebase feels user-friendly and flexible for your business, and that mobile access to schedules is making things easier for your team.

We also appreciate your honest feedback about plan features like blackout dates. We understand how important those tools can be, and we’ll share your input with our team as we continue evaluating plan offerings and improvements.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with Homebase!

  ### 28. Straightforward Scheduling and Payroll That Saves Us Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc M. | Owner/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase has been a solid tool for our business. Scheduling is straightforward and quick to update, even when things change last minute. Staff can see their shifts, swap when needed, and message each other without a lot of confusion.

Payroll is simple because it ties directly to time tracking. Hours flow through correctly, and running payroll doesn’t take much time. It cuts down on mistakes and extra work.

Overall, it does what we need without being complicated. It saves time and keeps things organized.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There could be a few tweaks to customize it to our business, but it works better than anything else we have used.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time savings in schedule and payroll.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a solid tool for your business, making scheduling and payroll straightforward and quick to update. It's great to know that it saves you time and keeps things organized.

  ### 29. Simple, Efficient Scheduling with Homebase

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie M. | Store Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase very simple to use, and it's easy to set up new users. I like that all the features in the free package are included, which means I can use it comfortably. It doesn't take me very long to do what I need to do, which is always useful. Also, I can ensure that new employees get their notifications from Homebase quickly and easily. The initial setup was very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don't think the mobile app is as strong as the web browser-based app. It would be better if you were able to replicate right mouse clicks in the mobile app.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase allows me to quickly and flexibly manage staff rotas and change shifts as required, saving time and ensuring new employees receive notifications easily.

**Official Response from Alifa Jamal:**

> Hi Charlie,

Thanks again for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 30. Efficient Payroll and Time Tracking, but Integration Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** FALISCIA K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love the way Homebase handles payroll; it's seamless and really easy to use. The same goes for the time sheets, they're super easy to use. I appreciate being able to take care of payroll, time sheets, and employee engagement on the go. Running reports is no problem at all. The initial setup wasn't hard, it was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don't like the fact that it doesn't integrate directly with QuickBooks. Or that I can't integrate it with my EVV caregiving software. Also you have to wait for a live agent to call you back sometimes can be more than an hour not good.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase lets me handle payroll, timesheets, and employee engagement on the go. It's easy to use, especially for payroll and timesheets, and I can run reports with no problem.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase's payroll and time tracking features efficient and easy to use. We understand the importance of integration with other software, and we're continuously working to improve our compatibility with different platforms. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with our customer support wait times, and we're actively working to address this issue. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 31. Easy to Use with Convenient Google Sign-In

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan P. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like the ease of use that home base offers as well as the fact that you can log in with Google, makes it mush easier to sign in no matter where you are

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don't like that some features are behind paywalls, I wish there was an option to make your own plan or pick a few features that you can add for a smaller price than upgrading the whole package

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Home base saves time with scheduling which allows me to be more hands on with my business

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and the Google sign-in convenient. We appreciate your feedback about the paywall features, and we'll take it into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for sharing how Homebase has benefited your business by saving time with scheduling. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 32. Intuitive with Exceptional Support, A Scheduling Powerhouse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Autrey M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love how easy Homebase is to learn and use for payroll, onboarding, scheduling, and vacation time tracking. The scheduling features are great and simple to use, and the onboarding features make the process seamless by pushing forms and payroll information to new hires, reducing data entry errors. I especially like the GPS tracking for clock-in and clock-out, ensuring employees are clocking in on site. The software is intuitive, looks good for users, and the customer service is quick, kind, and just one click away. The initial setup was easy, and I had help from the Homebase customer service staff when I needed it. I recommend Homebase all the time to my business colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The payroll reports can be a little confusing when trying to pull a specific payroll period or month. It would be great to make it clearer which payroll is being pulled. I usually have to backtrack to find the pay date and match the actual dates of the payroll data. It gets a little confusing.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, payroll, and onboarding, making these processes easy and seamless. It reduces data entry errors, simplifies staff scheduling, and provides GPS clock-in tracking. It's intuitive and has excellent customer service.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase intuitive and easy to use for scheduling, payroll, and onboarding. Our goal is to make managing your business operations as seamless as possible.

  ### 33. Great App!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alysia T.

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like how Homebase streamlines everything into a single app, so I don't have to use multiple platforms for payroll, scheduling, and time off requests. From an employee perspective, I like being able to see all of my hours and pay stubs in one place, which I haven't been able to do with other apps. The app is really easy to use, and I can access it on my phone. If I have an issue with clocking in or out, I can easily go back to Homebase to fix my timesheets. Additionally, I appreciate that the initial setup process for Homebase was very smooth and easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Personally, I feel like the app is very glitchy. Every time I have to use the app, I have to log back in even if I use it on a daily basis. That's a little bit annoying.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for payroll, scheduling, and time off requests, streamlining everything into one app. It prevents needing multiple platforms, making processes simpler and more efficient.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for the great review! We're glad Homebase has been able to streamline payroll, scheduling, and time off requests into one easy-to-use app. It's wonderful to hear that accessing your hours and pay stubs in a single place has made things simpler and more efficient. We'll be sure to pass your feedback about the login experience along to our team. Thank you for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 34. Easy to Use on Web & App—Great for Scheduling, Payroll, and Employee Self-Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Howard D. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

It is easy to use and works on both the web and the app. This is helpful for "big office" tasks like full schedule and payroll. The app is great for employees to quickly view their schedule, timecards, and submit requests off.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Some features are only available for a fee.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A low or no cost option for scheduling, timecards, and requests off.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and helpful for scheduling, payroll, and employee self-service. We understand that some features are only available for a fee, but we strive to provide valuable services at an affordable cost. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 35. Streamlined Scheduling and Time Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa C. | Customer Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love the scheduling feature in Homebase the most because it makes everything way easier to set up and change without it turning into a whole thing. I can put the schedule out pretty quickly, and everyone can just check it themselves instead of asking me all the time. The time tracking is also really nice because it keeps everything organized, and I don't have to go back and fix hours as much. Payroll is way less stressful and saves me a lot of time overall. The initial setup was very easy, and while there was a small learning curve, the options available were pretty good.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Sometimes it's not as smooth as it could be. Like, when I'm trying to make quick changes to the schedule, it can feel a little slower and take more steps than expected. Also, notifications can be better. Sometimes people say they didn't even notice a shift got updated, so I still end up reminding them anyway. If those are clearer or harder to miss, it probably will fix a lot. Nothing major again. I really enjoyed it, but overall works very well. Just a few things that could be a bit more polished.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and tracking employee hours. It prevents confusion about shifts and makes payroll easier. Everything's in one place, reducing back-and-forth communication and making team management simpler.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you love the scheduling and time tracking features in Homebase! We appreciate your feedback about the areas that could be improved, such as the smoothness of making quick changes and the clarity of notifications. We're constantly working to enhance the user experience, and your input is valuable in that process. Thank you for choosing Homebase for your scheduling and time tracking needs!

  ### 36. Easiest Timekeeping for Employees

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarek G. | owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

The timekeeping function is the easiest and my employees can figure it out no matter the experience

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The clock-in feature doesn't work occasionally, I have to pay extra to record salaried employees. The integrations with ADP are not optimized.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeping track of my employees times and their schedules and making sure that they are getting paid properly

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased that your employees find our timekeeping function easy to use. We understand the frustration with the occasional issues with the clock-in feature and the integration with ADP. We are actively working on resolving these issues to enhance your experience. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 37. Great for Scheduling and QuickBooks, but Glitches Make Time Tracking a Hassle

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is good for scheduling and for our employees to clock in and out. We currently do payroll with a spreadsheet that is transferred to Quickbooks and it is simple to pull from Homebase to there. I think this whole process could be smoother, but our board of directors chooses Homebase and is pleased with the process.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

It is sometimes very glitchy and doesn't let people clock in and out and then an admin has to do it for them. It also is tough for our employees who have to move from one classroom to another and they have to change their clockins and for minor adjustments or switches it doesn't allow them to do it and it's a major glitch and haasle.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and payroll

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been helpful for scheduling and QuickBooks integration. We apologize for the glitches you've experienced with time tracking and understand the frustration it can cause. We're continuously working to improve our system and appreciate your feedback. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 38. Seamless Scheduling and Team Engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth C. | Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling days off, team meetings, and team communication, and I really enjoy its easy-to-use platform. The reporting function is something I love because it helps track tardiness, call-ins, and all attendance functions, which is key to managing staff trends. The communication platform makes it easy to talk with all the team members within our company, and it helps find replacements if someone calls in sick. Additionally, the awards system is great to share with the team, especially when we surpass other small businesses in our area. The initial setup was super simple as I could self train. Overall, I find Homebase fluid and seamless in keeping track of people's time off requests and other related tasks.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I feel like all the other features should be unlocked for all Homebase users. Some of the key functions such as forecasting and scheduling should be unlocked and available for everyone to use.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase makes scheduling fluid and seamless, tracks time off and tardiness, and eases team communication. It helps us find replacements, track attendance, and celebrate team success with awards.

  ### 39. Homebase is amazing and effective!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy W. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that people can use Homebase on their phones, allowing everyone to clock in and out easily. The initial setup was very simple, which I appreciated a lot. My employees enjoy keeping track of their hours, having early access to their pay, and being notified of their schedules in real time.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I think Homebase could have a better range for everyone. It could be more accurate for phone use as there can be issues when clocking in or out from their mobile devices.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for clocking in and out for employees. Everyone can use it on their phones, making it easier to manage time tracking. It also solves any schedule changes, or shift coverages.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase amazing and effective! Our mobile app is designed to make clocking in and out easy for everyone, and we're constantly working to improve its accuracy. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to make enhancements to provide a better experience for all users.

  ### 40. Efficiency and Usability with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taniesha W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like the ease of use of Homebase, as well as the time sheets, clocking in and out, and the ability to track the accumulation of funds based on time worked. The efficiency and simplicity really stand out for me. We've switched between a few systems over the years, and Homebase has been the longest-lasting due to how straightforward it is.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Some of the document handling features in Homebase are a bit annoying. Specifically, when I update documents, there's no way to archive a previous version. I have to delete it completely, and it's not accessible to me anymore, though my team can still see it. This is inconvenient, especially for onboarding, as I might want to change or add something. Also, only the account manager currently has access to HR Pro. It would be more efficient if mid-level supervisors could access it as well, rather than having to wait for a CEO.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for performance reviews and documentation, timesheets, payroll, and HR support, ensuring timely responses to challenging questions.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you so much for the kind words and for sticking with us all these years — that really means a lot! We're thrilled that our timesheets, payroll, and HR support have kept things running smoothly for your team. Your feedback on document versioning and broader HR Pro access is genuinely valuable — these are exactly the kinds of insights that help us improve. We'll make sure it gets to the right people. Thanks for being such a loyal part of the Homebase community!

  ### 41. Easy Time Tracking with Geofence Honesty

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maureen B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for employee time clock, and it easily keeps accurate time, which is great for our operations. I really like how easy it is to use for both me and my staff. The geofence feature is fantastic because it keeps everyone honest by ensuring that staff can only punch in and out while on the property. The initial setup was very easy as well, which I appreciated. Overall, I’m so impressed with Homebase that I rate it an 11 out of 10 for recommending it to a friend or colleague.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would love to use Homebase to run my payroll but they do not currently participate with non profits.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase easily keeps accurate time, is easy to use for me and my staff, and the geofence feature ensures staff are only able to punch in and out while on the property.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that the geofence feature is helping to ensure accurate time tracking for your staff. We appreciate your feedback and are constantly working to improve our services. Thank you for the 11 out of 10 rating!

  ### 42. Intuitive Payroll Solution with Convenient Mobile Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that Homebase is extremely user-friendly and that it has an app. I love that my employees can sign in or punch in through their phones, which makes them remember to punch in more often than with a time clock. They can download the app to request time off and handle everything from their phones, which makes it very user-friendly. Additionally, I can do payroll from my phone if I don't have my laptop nearby, making it extremely easy to work with. I also appreciate that Homebase automates quarterly tax returns and other tax-related tasks, which used to be my responsibility. The initial setup was fairly easy and entirely online, and I love that a friend referred me to it.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only little issue is if the employee did not request time off through the app, and I have to manually put it in. Then if I have to correct it, it's a few more steps. So I have to remember how to figure out how to correct that, and sometimes that's a little difficult.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for bi-monthly payroll. It's extremely user-friendly, especially with the app for clocking in and time-off requests. It also handles quarterly tax returns, replacing a more manual system.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your wonderful review! We love hearing that the mobile app is making such a difference for both you and your employees — from clock-ins to time-off requests to running payroll on the go. It's great that the automated tax filings are saving you time as well. We appreciate the feedback on manual time-off corrections — we understand those extra steps can be tricky, and we'll share that with our product team. Thanks for recommending Homebase!

  ### 43. Exceptional Scheduling with Intuitive Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gurbaj S. | Sales Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that Homebase has a very easy interface to interact with, which makes creating schedules simple. The department categories are particularly helpful, allowing me to see employees scheduled in each department. I appreciate the color choice for each employee in each department, which helps me view staff availability during busy seasons and days. The app shows the total hours given by each department, which is useful for deciding our labor budget and reallocating hours if needed. I find the ability to send texts to each staff member or create groups amazing, as it facilitates communication within departments and allows for easy announcements. Additionally, the AI feature is cool; it lets staff clock in late if they forget to clock in, and it notifies managers about timecard changes, enabling verification of these edits.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The 'add event' feature should be more flexible. It needs to allow events to be added later, anytime, without the condition that it must be done before posting the full schedule for that week. It should also let us add and post events with or without scheduling, so staff can see new events added to the posted schedule.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Homebase's easy interface and department colors help us manage staff schedules, track availability, and stay within labor budgets. Texting and announcements feature enhances team communication, and the AI feature assists with late clock-ins, improving timecard accuracy.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your detailed review! We're thrilled that the department categories, color coding, labor hour tracking, and team messaging are all helping you manage scheduling and stay on budget. It's great to hear the AI clock-in feature is improving timecard accuracy for your team as well. We appreciate the thoughtful feedback on the "add event" feature — the ability to add events independently of the posted schedule is a great suggestion, and we'll share it with our product team. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 44. Simplifies Payroll with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darius D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase very simple and straightforward to use, which makes handling payroll a lot easier. The phone tech support is terrific—every tech support person who calls me back does so very quickly, answering all my questions with clarity and resolving any issues. Even with a lot of questions from running a business with several employees, it’s never a problem for them. The tech support always handles everything beautifully. I also like the great options for reports and the ability to send text messages, which is very convenient. The initial setup was quite simple because of the onboarding person.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Once you get through the learning curve, get set up and use it for a while, there really isn't anything that I can think of that Homebase has missed.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for payroll, and it handles everything flawlessly. It's simple and straightforward, with terrific phone tech support. The report options and ability to send text messages are convenient.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad payroll has been a smooth experience for you, and it's great to hear our phone support team has been quick, helpful, and thorough every time. We'll be sure to pass along the kind words — our support team will love hearing this. It's also great that reporting and team messaging have been valuable additions for your business. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 45. Streamlined Scheduling with Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paige M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like the ease of access on both the Homebase website and app. It makes finding what I'm looking for very straightforward and allows me to easily identify missing shifts or needs for my hourly employees. I appreciate being able to view an hourly breakdown for schedules and see total hours per employee. The feature that lets me be notified if employees are working over agreed-upon hours is particularly helpful. I can also pull timesheets for payroll, organize them as needed, and download them with ease. Having accessibility to my business 24/7 through the app and website is invaluable. Initial setup was extremely simple. I also value their top-notch support team, training videos, and overall assistance, which have been great no matter the situation.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish I could have a different view for scheduling on the app so I can see the daily view in an hourly format. Right now it is easiest to do schedules on the computer (website). App is limited but I can work around the limitations and still function at a high level.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase eliminates scheduling confusion, boosts productivity, and clarifies team communication. I easily organize schedules, monitor hours, and access business info anytime through their website and app.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your detailed review! We're thrilled that Homebase is giving you 24/7 visibility into scheduling, hour tracking, overtime alerts, and payroll — and that our support team and training resources have been helpful along the way. That's great feedback on the app's scheduling view — an hourly daily view on mobile is a valuable suggestion, and we'll share it with our product team. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 46. Effortless Scheduling with Impressive Weather Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like how Homebase alerts the whole team if an employee calls off or needs a shift covered, making it easy to get shifts covered. It also helps me track my labor costs, which is super effective in making my schedule and planning around labor costs. The coolest feature is the built-in weather insight, which is so helpful. It offers me insight into the weather for the week, which is crucial for scheduling in the ice cream store I manage. I don't have to exit Homebase and use an external browser to check the weather. This is particularly valuable in the unpredictable spring and fall weather when planning my staffing needs. Additionally, the initial setup of Homebase and adding team members was so easy and simple.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I find Homebase a bit more complex when trying to make a schedule compared to Google Sheets, which I find simpler and more familiar. Also, inviting a new team member can be a little bit annoying because I believe they only have about five minutes to follow the verification link to sign up, and if they don't receive it in time, it causes a problem for me as I have to resend it again.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase alerts the team when an employee calls off, making shift coverage easy. It helps track labor costs effectively for scheduling and planning. The built-in weather feature is super helpful for staffing decisions, saving time from switching to another browser.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your detailed review! We love hearing that the weather insights are helping you plan staffing at your ice cream store — that's exactly the kind of decision-making we want to support. It's also great that shift coverage alerts and labor cost tracking are making scheduling more efficient. We appreciate the feedback on the learning curve compared to spreadsheets and the team member invitation window — both are valuable insights, and we'll share them with our product team. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 47. Efficient Scheduling & Seamless Team Coordination

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deeanna L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and recently hiring, and I love how it keeps team time off and availability all organized. It helps set up interviews without the back and forth to find a time, and lets the team chat and find coverage as needed. The structure and layout of Homebase are great because each section has corresponding subsections, keeping things organized without appearing messy, yet still offering a lot of options. I also really appreciate the email reminders.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only thing I can think of is when making a schedule, and there are open shifts it would be great if that row could freeze at the top and stay present as I scroll down to see who I can put in that open shift.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase keeps my team's time off and availability organized, sets up interviews without back and forth, enables team chat and coverage finding, and enhances scheduling for better planning.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your review! We're thrilled that Homebase is helping you stay organized across scheduling, hiring, and team communication. It's great to hear the layout and email reminders are working well for you. That's a fantastic suggestion about freezing the open shifts row while scrolling — we'll share that with our product team. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 48. User-Friendly with Versatile Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I believe Homebase is really easy to use and has a lot of good general features that even some of my managers with less tech skills can use pretty well too. The mobile clock-in is a nice feature and it's available for free. I also appreciate that we are able to schedule more than two weeks out, which is very user-friendly. The initial setup was quite easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

It's a bit of a bummer that we couldn't clock in using our older iPads because the software is too new or whatever. I also think it would be nice if some of the paid features, like Geo fencing or comments, were offered at a lower price, maybe like four dollars a month instead of requiring us to buy specific packages. Plus, having more competitive pricing for managing multiple accounts under one bill would be cool, since I have nine different Homebase accounts.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and time sheets for payroll with an easy-to-use online solution. The mobile clock-in is a nice free feature that enhances convenience.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your review! We're glad Homebase is easy to use for your entire team, including managers with varying tech comfort levels. It's great to hear the mobile clock-in and extended scheduling are working well for you. We appreciate the detailed feedback on iPad compatibility, à la carte feature pricing, and multi-account billing — especially managing nine accounts, those are really valuable insights, and we'll share them with our team. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 49. Seamless Scheduling with Easy Accessibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like how simple it is to use Homebase even remotely from my phone, computer, or tablet, and it's great that all of our staff have easy access to it. It really helps that everyone can access and see their shifts in a straightforward way, whether we are looking at the entire staff's schedule or an individual's shifts. The ability to see hours alongside different shifts like meetings, regular hours, and special events is really helpful. I also appreciate viewing our entire weekly operating hours easily, and then being able to request days off or shift covers right through the app.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

One thing would be the staffing request. Even though too many staff have requested it off, there still should be a request to allow for the request to be put in or to swap due to scheduling conflicts, personal issues, health, and whatnot.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase to schedule our staff efficiently and see who is available. It makes accessing shifts easy for everyone and helps with organizing meetings, events, and requests for days off or shift coverage.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful review! We’re so glad the mobile app is making scheduling, requests, and approvals easier for your team while saving management time. It’s great to hear conflict warnings and instant updates are helping ensure proper staffing each day.

We also appreciate your feedback about login timeouts and initial setup clarity. We understand how that can be frustrating and will share your input with our team as we continue improving the experience.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with Homebase!

  ### 50. Effortless Staff Scheduling, User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like Homebase's user-friendly interface because it's easy to figure out and navigate, making it simple for employees to log in and use. I appreciate the weekly layout for adding shifts and the copy-and-paste feature that helps carry shifts from one week to the next. The free version offers pretty useful tools, allowing my employees to request time off, which I can easily approve, and they can see their shifts each week. I use both the desktop and mobile app, which is convenient. Homebase makes staff scheduling easy for my small team of four.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don't have any dislikes. Obviously, even more features available in the free version would be great, but I understand the business model and the free features are very fair and usable.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase allows me to easily change and add shifts to my employee schedules, sending them information through notifications on their phone or desktop.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase's user-friendly interface and scheduling features helpful for your small team. Thank you for being the best part of Homebase 💜
