What do you like best about HealthStream Learning Management System?

HealthStream is a one-stop solution for nursing education. As a nurse educator, I want a product that I know will be up-to-date with most recent standards for nursing best practice. I also want a product that covers the topics I need to address with seasoned and new nurses alike without having to create my own forms and slideshows. HealthStream does that. Through specialty programs like the Nurse Residency and Preceptor Development, I have been able to take my organization's approach to education to the next level. From creating our own Checklists, running reports, managing live events, and more, the features on HealthStream have everything you could desire in a learning management system. Additionally, when I have had issues, the customer support portal feature is very helpful. Being able to track a ticket just like I do with IT in my own organization made it quite simple to integrate into my workflow. As a nurse educator I use HealthStream every day. What do you dislike about HealthStream Learning Management System?

Searching for and previewing courses is not as friendly as I would like. I cannot see inside a module without assigning it to myself. If it is content my organization has chosen to hide in the student catalog, that makes it even more complicated as I have to assign it as an admin. And if I only need to preview it, it is not a good use of company resources to spend the time completing the full test and evaluation, so I either have to then go back and delete or exempt the assignment or leave it in an ever-lengthening To-Do list. What do you like best about HealthStream Learning Management System?

Using HealthStream has really simplified how we manage employee education. One of the biggest wins is how easy it is to assign training materials. Instead of juggling spreadsheets or sending out individual emails, we can assign courses to entire teams or roles with just a few clicks. It’s a huge time-saver.

The platform is pretty intuitive, too. Employees get automatic reminders, and we can easily track who’s completed what. That means less chasing people down and more confidence that everyone’s staying up to date, especially with compliance training.

Our Network has been partnering with HealthStream for several years now. The platform is not only easy for administrators to navigate, but also makes furthering education and training courses incredibly straightforward for employees as well. The LMS system has allowed us to streamline several of our internal processes, making the rollout and tracking process for completion easy. The integration of HealthStream was smooth thanks to the customer service and our representative at the start of our partnership, Rosie. HealthStream serves as our "source of truth" for auditing purposes nearly everyday on many of our required trainings from a compliance standpoint. The extensive libraries available for purchase with trainings also help us as an employer as we navigate unknown areas in the ever changing healthcare field. Some of their course graphics are a bit dated...(Lots of hairspray...the 80's are calling. LOL). I also saw a briefcase the other day in a module... At first this takes away from the look and feel of the site, but the content more than makes up for it. The contracting process was a bit complicated, but the service after the sale is terrific. What do you like best about HealthStream Learning Management System?

We just recently was acquired by a new hospital system and we switched our LMS to HealthStream. I have used HealthStream in the prior system but minimally. Now, 6 months into using HealthStream as an LMS and I am very impressed. As an educator, we were able to create an electronic process for validating competencies and it is exactly what we needed for our hospital. I am very happy with how this switch as turned out for us. I practically have this system open all the time during office hours and I'm still learning additional things. I just have had not enough time to learn more of what other things I can implement at the hospital using this system. I have Jane Admin access but haven't gotten to really learn it and apply it to my hospital and use its benefits.

I am also very impressed with the Help desk support of HealthStream. I may have called the support hundreds of times throughout the 6 month period and i am floored with the efficiency, speed and knowledge of the support system. Thank you so much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HealthStream Learning Management System?

Sometimes, my issues need to be pushed to Tier 2 and higher and there were a couple of issues that even Tier 2 is unable to help because privileges and functionalities were company-managed. The support desk cannot do anything because functionalities are locked with only the parent-company of my system can provide that. I understand that it is a safety and security issue but administrator calls submitted higher than Tier 1 should have an easier way to address access issues, maybe get support in contact with the company so the issue is not passed back and forth. I CAN ACCESS THE SYSTEM MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY

What do you dislike about HealthStream Learning Management System?

EMPLOYEES ARE CONSISTENLY HAVING DIFFICULTY GETTING LOGGED INTO HEALTHSTREAM. THEY WILL GET THEIR USER ID AND PASSWORD (TEMPORARY) AND IT OFTEN DOES NOT WORK, REQUIRING MULTIPLE REQUESTS TO THE HELP DESK.

HAD SOME DIFFICULTY GETTING MANAGER PRIVILEGES IN HEALTHSTREAM, BUT NOW IS FIXED.

SOME STAFF MEMBERS DO NOT HAVE THEIR EDUCATION PROFILES DOWNLOADED SO THAT THEY CAN COMPLETE THE MANDATORY EDUCATION MODULES Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
