While having a variety of tools is helpful, it's easy to get overwhelmed by the complexity of the system—especially when training others on how to use HealthStream. The platform isn’t very intuitive, and the current sitemap could really benefit from a redesign to make navigation simpler. One major improvement would be adding a comprehensive search bar. I often spend a lot of time just trying to locate a single learning item. It’s frustrating to have to toggle between different regions or hierarchies to determine whether the item is a class, course, course bundle, curriculum, or group assignment. A smart search bar could streamline this process by offering shortcut links and clearly labeling the type of learning item. This would save a significant amount of time and reduce confusion—especially when you’re unsure of the exact format of the learning item that you’re trying to find. It is very simple to find the multiple different courses and to assign them to our staff. I like that there are reminders that can be assigned easily to managers as well as staff for overdue courses. I love that you can create your own courses based on the needs of your facility. I haven't needed to use customer support very often, but when I do, they help me quickly and easily. What do you dislike about HealthStream Learning Management System? The downside that I experienced as a new administrator was finding what I needed to perform my job. My predecessor unfortunately was no longer a part of our facility when I hired on and I found it difficult navigating the system by myself. I also found it difficult understanding what each report was for and what it does. There is no standing list that describes each of the reports and what they do. However, if we cannot ensure compliance, then it hurts our org. I don't like some functionality, like not being able to have exclusions in student groups (it's inclusive only).
